Jeremiah 41
1 And it was don in the seuenthe monethe, Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, sone of Elisama, of the kingis seed, and the principal men of the kyng, and ten men with hym, camen to Godolie, the sone of Aicham, in Masphath; and thei eeten there looues togidere in Masphath.
Tháng bảy, ỗch-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-nia, cháu Ê-li-sa-ma, vốn dòng tôn thất, và làm một bật đại thần của vua, đem mười người với mình đến cùng Ghê-đa-lia, con trai A-hi-cam, tại Mích-ba. Họ ăn bánh với nhau tại đó.
2 Forsothe Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, and the ten men that weren with hym, risiden vp, and killiden bi swerd Godolie, the sone of Aicham, sone of Saphan; and thei killiden hym, whom the kyng of Babiloyne hadde maad souereyn of the lond.
Đoạn, ỗch-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-nia, cùng mười người đi với mình đứng dậy lấy gươm đánh Ghê-đa-lia, con trai A-hi-cam, cháu Sa-phan, và giết người, tức là người mà vua Ba-by-lôn lập làm tổng đốc trong đất như vậy.
3 Also Ismael killide alle the Jewis, that weren with Godolie in Masphath, and the Caldeis, that weren foundun there, and the men werriours.
ỗch-ma-ên cũng giết luôn mọi người Giu-đa đang ở với Ghê-đa-lia tại Mích-ba, và lính chiến người Canh-đê ở đó.
4 Forsothe in the secounde dai, aftir that he hadde slayn Godolie, while no man wiste yit,

thì có tám mươi người cạo râu, mặc áo rách, tự cắt mình, từ Si-chem, Si-lô, Sa-ma-ri mà đến, cầm những của lễ chay và nhũ hương trong tay mình đặng đem đến nhà Đức Giê-hô-va.
6 Therfor Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, yede out of Masphath in to the metyng of hem; and he yede goynge and wepynge. Sotheli whanne he hadde met hem, he seide to hem, Come ye to Godolie, the sone of Aicham;
ỗch-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-nia, từ Mích-ba ra đón các người ấy, vừa đi vừa khóc. Khi đến cùng họ rồi, nói rằng: Hãy đến cùng Ghê-đa-lia, con trai A-hi-cam.
7 and whanne thei weren comun to the myddis of the citee, Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, killide hem aboute the myddis of the lake, he and the men that weren with hym `killiden hem.
Vừa khi những người đó đi đến giữa thành, ỗch-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-nia, cùng những kẻ đi với mình, giết bọn họ và quăng thây xuống hố.
8 But ten men weren foundun among hem, that seiden to Ismael, Nyle thou sle vs, for we han tresour of wheete, and of barli, and of oile, and of hony, in the feeld. And he ceesside, and killide not hem with her britheren.
Nhưng trong bọn họ có mười người nói với ỗch-ma-ên rằng: Chớ giết chúng tôi, vì chúng tôi có những đồ lương thực giấu trong đồng; lúa mì, tiểu mạch, dầu, và mật. ỗch-ma-ên bèn thôi, không giết họ luôn với anh em họ.
9 Forsothe the lake in to which Ismael castide forth alle the careyns of men, whiche he killide for Godolie, is thilke lake, which kyng Asa made for Baasa, the kyng of Israel; Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, fillide that lake with slayn men.
ỗch-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-nia, quăng những thây mình đã giết vào trong hố, ở kề bên Ghê-đa-lia, tức là hố vua A-sa đã đào, vì sợ Ba-ê-sa, vua Y-sơ-ra-ên. Aáy là cùng một cái hố đó mà ỗch-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-nia, đã lấp đầy xác chết.
10 And Ismael ledde prisoneris alle the remenauntis of the puple, that weren in Mesphath, the douytris of the kyng, and al the puple that dwelliden in Masphath, whiche Nabusardan, the prince of chyualrie, hadde bitakun to kepyng to Godolie, the sone of Aicham. And Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, took hem, and yede to passe ouer to the sones of Amon.
Đoạn, ỗch-ma-ên bắt hết thảy dân sự còn sót lại tại Mích-ba đem đi làm phu tù; tức các con gái vua, và cả dân bỏ lại ở Mích-ba mà quan làm đầu thị vệ Nê-bu-xa-A-đan đã giao phó cho Ghê-đa-lia, con trai A-hi-cam. ỗch-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-nia, bắt những người ấy điệu đi làm phu tù, và đi qua nơi con cái Am-môn.
11 Forsothe Johannan, the sone of Caree, and alle the princes of werriouris, that weren with hym, herden al the yuel, which Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, hadde do.
Khi Giô-ha-nan, con trai Ca-rê-át, và các người đầu đảng theo mình, nghe mọi điều ác mà ỗch-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-nia, đã làm,
12 And whanne thei hadden take alle men, thei yeden forth to fiyte ayens Ismael, the sone of Nathanye; and thei foundun hym at the many watris, that ben in Gabaon.
thì nhóm mọi thủ hạ mình lại và khởi đi đánh ỗch-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-nia, và đuổi kịp tại nơi gần hồ lớn Ga-ba-ôn.
13 And whanne al the puple, that was with Ismael, hadden seyn Johannan, the sone of Caree, and alle the princes of werriouris, that weren with hym, thei weren glad.
Có xảy ra, khi đội quân theo ỗch-ma-ên ngó thấy Giô-ha-nan, con trai Ca-rê-át, và hết thảy các tướng đầu đảng ở với người thì thảy đều vui mừng.
14 And al the puple, whom Ismael hadde take in Masphath, turnede ayen; and it turnede ayen, and yede to Johannan, the sone of Caree.
Cả dân mà ỗch-ma-ên đã điệu đi từ Mích-ba đều trở mặt về với Giô-ha-nan, con trai Ca-rê-át.
15 Forsothe Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, fledde with eiyte men fro the face of Johannan, and yede to the sones of Amon.
Còn ỗch-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-nia, thì cùng tám người trốn khỏi Giô-ha-nan và đi đến nơi con cái Am-môn.
16 Therfor Johannan, the sone of Caree, and alle the princes of werriours, that weren with hym, token alle the remenauntis of the comyn puple, whiche thei brouyten ayen fro Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, that weren of Masphat, aftir that he killide Godolie, the sone of Aicham; he took strong men to batel, and wymmen, and children, and geldyngis, whiche he hadde brouyt ayen fro Gabaon.
Giô-ha-nan, con trai Ca-rê-át, cùng các tướng đầu đảng theo mình chiếm lấy đội binh mới vừa giải cứu khỏi tay ỗch-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-mia, khi ỗch-ma-ên kéo đi từ Mích-ba sau lúc giết Ghê-đa-lia, con trai A-hi-cam. Hết thảy những lính chiến, đàn bà, trẻ con hoạn quan, Giô-ha-nan đều từ Ga-ba-ôn đem về.
17 And thei yeden, and saten beynge pilgryms in Canaan, which is bisidis Bethleem, that thei schulden go, and entre in to Egipt fro the face of Caldeis;
Họ khởi đi và đỗ tại trạm Kim-ham, gần Bết-lê-hem, đặng rút qua Ê-díp-tô,
18 for thei dredden thilke Caldeis, for Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, hadde slayn Godolie, the sone of Aicham, whom the kyng Nabugodonosor hadde maad souereyn in the lond of Juda.
xa người Canh-đê; vì sợ người Canh-đê, bởi cớ ỗch-ma-ên, con trai Nê-tha-nia, giết Ghê-đa-lia, con trai A-hi-cam, là người mà vua Ba-by-lôn đã lập làm tổng đốc trong đất.
