Jeremiah 38
1 Forsothe Safacie, sone of Nathan, and Jedelie, sone of Fassur, and Jothal, sone of Selemye, and Fassour, sone of Melchie, herden the wordis whiche Jeremye spak to al the puple,
Nakadungog sila si Shefatia nga anak nga lalaki ni Matan, si Gedalia nga anak nga lalaki ni Pashur, si Jehucal nga anak nga lalaki ni Shelemia, ug si Pashur nga anak nga lalaki ni Malkia sa mga pulong nga gipahayag ni Jeremias sa tanang katawhan. Miingon siya kanila,
2 `and seide, The Lord seith these thingis, Who euer dwellith in this citee, schal die bi swerd, and hungur, and pestilence; but he that flieth to Caldeis, shal lyue, and his soule schal be hool and lyuynge.
nga miingon si Yahweh niini: “Si bisan kinsa nga magpabilin niining siyudara pagapatyon pinaagi sa espada, kagutom, ug hampak. Apan maluwas ang si bisan kinsa nga moadto sa mga Caldeanhon. Makaikyas siya, ug mabuhi.
3 The Lord seith these thingis, This citee to be bitakun schal be bitakun in to the hond of the oost of the kyng of Babiloyne, and he schal take it.
Miingon si Yahweh niini: Igatugyan kining siyudara ngadto sa kamot sa kasundalohan sa hari sa Babilonia, ug ilogon niya kini.”
4 And the princes seiden to the kyng, We preien, that this man be slayn; for of bifore castyng he discoumfortith the hondis of men werriours, that dwelliden in this citee, and the hondis of al the puple, and spekith to hem bi alle these wordis. For whi this man sekith not pees to this puple, but yuel.
Busa miingon ang mga opisyal ngadto sa hari, “Ipapatay kining tawhana, tungod kay niini nga paagi gipaluya niya ang mga kamot sa manggugubat nga magpabilin niining siyudara, ug ang mga kamot sa tanang katawhan. Nagmantala siya niining mga pulonga, kay kining tawhana wala nagbuhat alang sa kaayohan niining katawhan, apan sa kadaot lamang.”
5 And kyng Sedechie seide, Lo! he is in youre hondis, for it is not leueful that the kyng denye ony thing to you.
Busa miingon si Zedekia, “Tan-awa, anaa na siya sa imong kamot sanglit wala may hari nga makahimo sa pagpugong kanimo.”
6 Therfor thei token Jeremye, and castiden hym doun in to the lake of Elchie, sone of Amalech, which was in the porche of the prisoun; and thei senten doun Jeremye bi cordis in to the lake, wherynne was no watir, but fen; therfor Jeremye yede doun in to the filthe.
Unya gidala nila si Jeremias ug gihulog siya ngadto sa atabay ni Malkia, nga anak nga lalaki sa hari. Nahimutang ang atabay sa hawanan sa tigbantay. Gitunton nila si Jeremias gamit ang mga pisi. Walay tubig sa atabay, apan lapokon kini, ug nalubong siya sa lapok.
7 Forsothe Abdemalech Ethiopien, a chast man and oneste, herde, that was in the kyngis hous, that thei hadden sent Jeremye in to the lake; sotheli the king sat in the yate of Beniamyn.
Karon si Ebed Melec nga Cusitihanon nga usa sa mga yunoko sa balay sa hari. Nadungog niya nga gibutang nila si Jeremias ngadto sa atabay. Karon naglingkod ang hari sa Ganghaan sa Benjamin.
8 And Abdemalech yede out of the kyngis hous, and spak to the kyng,
Busa migawas si Ebed Melec gikan sa balay sa hari ug nakigsulti sa hari. Miingon siya,
9 and seide, My lord the kyng, these men diden yuele alle thingis, what euer thingis thei diden ayens Jeremye, the profete, sendynge hym in to the lake, that he die there for hungur; for whi looues ben no more in the citee.
“Akong agalon nga hari, nagbuhat ug daotan kini nga mga kalalakin-an pinaagi sa pagbuhat nila ug dili maayo kang Jeremias nga propeta. Gihulog nila siya ngadto sa atabay aron mamatay siya sa kagutom, sanglit wala nay pagkaon sa siyudad.”
10 Therfor the kyng comaundide to Abdemelech Ethiopien, and seide, Take with thee thretti men fro hennus, and reise thou Jeremye, the profete, fro the lake, bifor that he die.
Unya gimandoan sa hari si Ebed Melec nga Cusitihanon. Miingon siya, “Mandoi ang 30 ka kalalakin-an gikan dinhi ug ipakuha si Jeremias nga propeta gikan sa atabay sa dili pa siya mamatay.”
11 Therfor whanne Abdemelech hadde take men with hym, he entride in to the hous of the kyng, that was vndur the celer; and he took fro thennus elde clothis, and elde ragges, that weren rotun; and he sente tho doun to Jeremye, in to the lake, bi cordis.
Busa gimandoan ni Ebed Melec kadto nga mga kalalakin-an ug miadto sa balay sa hari, ngadto sa lawak nga tipiganan sa mga bisti ilalom sa balay. Nagkuha siya ug mga nuog ug daan nga bisti didto ug gitunton kini kang Jeremias pinaagi sa mga pisi ngadto sa atabay.
12 And Abdemelech Ethiopien seide to Jeremye, Putte thou elde clothis, and these to-rent and rotun thingis vndur the cubit of thin hondis, and on the cordis. Therfor Jeremye dide so.
Miingon si Ebed Melec nga Cusitihanon ngadto kang Jeremias, “Ibutang ang mga nuog ug ang daan nga bisti sa ilalom sa imong mga bukton ug sa ibabaw sa mga pisi.” Busa gibuhat kini ni Jeremias.
13 And thei drowen out Jeremye with cordis, and ledden hym out of the lake. Forsothe Jeremye dwellide in the porche of the prisoun.
Unya gibira nila si Jeremias pinaagi sa mga pisi. Niini nga paagi napagawas nila siya gikan sa atabay. Busa nagpuyo si Jeremias sa hawanan sa tigbantay.
14 And kyng Sedechie sente, and took hym Jeremye, the profete, at the thridde dore that was in the hous of the Lord. And the kyng seide to Jeremye, Y axe of thee a word; hide thou not ony thing fro me.
Unya nagpadala ug pulong si Haring Zedekia ug gipadala si Jeremias nga propeta ngadto kaniya, sa ikatulo nga pultahan sa balay ni Yahweh. Miingon ang hari kang Jeremias, “Aduna akoy buot ipangutana kanimo. Ayaw ililong kanako ang tubag.”
15 Forsothe Jeremye seide to Sedechie, If Y telle to thee, whether thou schalt not sle me? And if Y yyue councel to thee, thou schalt not here me.
Miingon si Jeremias kang Zedekia, “Kung tubagon ko ikaw, dili ba gayod nimo ako patyon? Apan kung mohatag ako kanimo ug tambag, dili ka man maminaw kanako.”
16 Therfor Sedechie the king swoor to Jeremye priueli, and seide, The Lord lyueth, that maad to vs this soule, Y schal not sle thee, and Y schal not bitake thee in to the hondis of these men, that seken thi lijf.
Apan nanumpa si Haring Zedekia sa tago ug miingon, “Ingon nga buhi si Yahweh, nga maoy naghimo kanato, dili ko ikaw patyon o itugyan ngadto sa kamot sa mga kalalakin-an nga nangita sa imong kinabuhi.”
17 And Jeremye seide to Sedechie, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, If thou goest forth, and goest out to the princes of the kyng of Babiloyne, thi soule schal lyue, and this citee schal not be brent with fier, and thou schalt be saaf, thou and thin hous.
Busa miingon si Jeremias ngadto kang Haring Zedekia, “Mao kini ang giingon ni Yahweh, ang Dios nga labawng makagagahom, nga Dios sa Israel: Kung moadto gayod kamo sa mga opisyal sa Hari sa Babilonia nan mabuhi ka, ug dili sunogon kini nga siyudad. Ikaw ug ang imong pamilya mabuhi.
18 Forsothe if thou goest not out to the princes of the kyng of Babiloyne, this citee schal be bitakun in to the hondis of Caldeis; and thei schulen brenne it with fier, and thou schalt not ascape fro the hond of hem.
Apan kung dili ka moadto sa mga opisyal sa hari sa Babilonia, nan itugyan kining siyudara ngadto sa kamot sa mga Caldeanhon. Sunogon nila kini, ug dili kamo makaikyas gikan sa ilang kamot.”
19 And kyng Sedechie seide to Jeremye, Y am angwischid for the Jewis that fledden ouer to Caldeis, lest perauenture Y be bitakun in to the hondis of hem, and thei scorne me.
Miingon si Haring Zedekia ngadto kang Jeremias, “Apan nahadlok ako sa katawhan sa Juda nga miikyas padulong sa mga Caldeanhon, tungod kay tingali ug itugyan ako sa ilang kamot, aron daugdaogon nila ako.”
20 Forsothe Jeremye answeride, and seide to hym, Thei schulen not bitake thee; Y biseche, here thou the vois of the Lord, which Y schal speke to thee, and it schal be wel to thee, and thi soule schal lyue.
Miingon si Jeremias, “Dili ka nila itugyan ngadto kanila. Tumana ang mensahe nga gikan kang Yahweh nga akong ginasulti kanimo, aron nga mamaayo ang tanan alang kanimo, ug aron nga mabuhi ka.
21 That if thou wolt not go out, this is the word which the Lord schewide to me, Lo!
Apan kung modumili ka sa pag-adto, mao kini ang gipakita ni Yahweh kanako.
22 alle the wymmen, that weren left in the hous of the kyng of Juda, schulen be led out to the princes of the kyng of Babiloyne; and tho wymmen schulen seie, Thi pesible men disseyueden thee, and hadden the maistrye ayens thee; thei drenchiden thee in filthe, and thi feet in slidirnesse, and yeden awei fro thee.
Tan-awa! Ang tanang mga babaye nga nahibilin sa imong balay, hari sa Juda, pagadad-on ngadto sa balay sa mga opisyal sa hari sa Babilonia. Moingon kini nga mga babaye kanimo, 'Nalimbongan ka sa imong mga higala; gidaot ka nila. Nalubong na karon ang imong mga tiil sa lapok, ug managan ang imong mga higala.'
23 And alle thi wyues and thi sones schulen be led out to Caldeis, and thou schalt not ascape the hondis of hem; but thou schalt be bitakun in to the hondis of the kyng of Babiloyne, and he schal brenne this citee bi fier.
Kay ang tanan nimong mga asawa ug mga anak pagadad-on ngadto sa mga Caldeanhon, ug dili ka makaikyas gikan sa ilang kamot. Pagadakpon ka pinaagi sa kamot sa hari sa Babilonia, ug pagasunogon kini nga siyudad.”
24 Therfore Sedechie seide to Jeremye, No man wite these wordis, and thou schalt not die.
Unya miingon si Haring Zedekia ngadto kang Jeremias, “Ayaw ipahibalo kang bisan kinsa kining mga pulonga, aron nga dili ka mamatay.
25 Sotheli if the princes heren, that Y spak with thee, and comen to thee, and seien to thee, Schewe thou to vs what thou spakest with the kyng, hide thou not fro vs, and we schulen not sle thee; and what the kyng spak with thee,
Kung madunggan sa mga opisyal nga nakigsulti ako kanimo, ug kung moanhi sila ug mosulti kanimo, 'Sultihi kami sa imong giingon sa hari ug ayaw kini itago kanamo, o patyon ka namo,'
26 thou schalt seie to hem, Knelyngli Y puttide forth my preiris bifore the kyng, that he schulde not comaunde me to be led ayen in to the hous of Jonathan, and Y schulde die there.
unya kinahanglan nga sultihan nimo sila, 'Naghangyo ako nga mapainubsanon sa atubangan sa hari nga dili niya ako ibalik sa balay ni Jonathan aron mamatay didto.”'
27 Therfor alle the princes camen to Jeremye, and axiden hym; and he spak to hem bi alle the wordis whiche the kyng hadde comaundid to hym, and thei ceessiden fro hym; for whi no thing was herd.
Unya nangadto ang tanang mga opisyal ngadto kang Jeremias ug nangutana kaniya, busa gitubag niya sila sumala sa gisugo sa hari kaniya. Busa miundang sila sa pagpakigsulti kaniya, tungod kay wala man nila nadungog ang gihisgotan tali ni Jeremias ug sa hari.
28 Therfor Jeremye dwellide in the porche of the prisoun, til to the dai wherynne Jerusalem was takun; and it was don, that Jerusalem schulde be takun.
Busa nagpabilin si Jeremias sa hawanan sa tigbantay hangtod sa adlaw nga nailog ang Jerusalem.
