Jeremiah 35
1 The word that was maad of the Lord to Jeremye, in the daies of Joachym, sone of Josie,
La palabra que vino a Jeremías de parte del Señor, en los días de Joacim, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, diciendo:
2 kyng of Juda, and seide, Go thou to the hous of Recabitis, and speke thou to hem; and thou schalt brynge hem in to the hous of the Lord, in to o chaumbre of tresouris, and thou schalt yyue to hem to drynke wyn.
Entra en la casa de los recabitas, habla con ellos y llévalos a la casa del Señor, a una de las habitaciones, y dales vino.
3 And Y took Jeconye, the sone of Jeremye, sone of Absanye, and hise britheren, and alle the sones of hym, and al the hous of Recabitis.
Entonces tomé a Jaazanías, hijo de Jeremías, hijo de Habasinias, y a sus hermanos y todos sus hijos y todos los recabitas.
4 And Y ledde hem in to the hous of the Lord, to the treserie of the sones of Eman, sone of Godolie, the man of God; which treserie was bisidis the treserie of princes, aboue the tresour of Maasie, sone of Sellum, that was kepere of the vestiarie.
Y los llevé a la casa del Señor, a la habitación de los hijos de Hanán, el hijo de Igdalia, el hombre de Dios, que estaba cerca de la habitación de los gobernantes, que estaba sobre la habitación de Maasias el hijo de Salum, el guardián de la puerta;
5 And Y settide bifore the sones of the hous of Recabitis pecis, and grete cowpis ful of wyn; and Y seide to hem, Drinke ye wyn.
Y puse ante los hijos de los Recabitas jarros llenos de vino y copas, y les dije: Tomen algo de vino.
6 And thei answeriden, We schulen not drinke wyn; for whi Jonadab, oure fadir, the sone of Recab, comaundide to vs, and seide, Ye schulen not drinke wyn, ye and youre sones, `til in to withouten ende;
Pero ellos dijeron: No tomaremos vino; porque Jonadab, el hijo de Recab, nuestro padre, nos dio órdenes, diciendo: No debes tomar vino jamás, tú ni tus hijos.
7 and ye schulen not bilde an hous, and ye schulen not sowe seed, and ye schulen not plaunte vynes, nether schulen haue, but ye schulen dwelle in tabernaclis in alle youre daies, that ye lyue many daies on the face of erthe, in which ye goen in pilgrymage.
Y no deben edificar casas, ni poner semillas, ni tener vides plantadas, o tener alguna; pero todos los días, debes seguir viviendo en tiendas de campaña, para que puedas tener una larga vida en la tierra donde vives como peregrino.
8 Therfor we obeieden to the vois of Jonadab, oure fadir, the sone of Recab, in alle thingis whiche he comaundide to vs; so that we drunken not wyn in alle oure dayes, we, and oure wymmen, oure sones, and douytris;
Y hemos guardado las reglas de Jonadab, el hijo de Recab, nuestro padre, en todo lo que nos ordenó hacer, sin beber vino todos nuestros días, nosotros y nuestras esposas y nuestros hijos y nuestras hijas;
9 and we bildiden not housis to dwelle, and we hadden not a vyner, and a feeld, and seed;
No construimos casas para nosotros mismos, ni tenemos jardines de vid o campos o semillas:
10 but we dwelliden in tabernaclis, and weren obeiynge, and diden bi alle thingis, whiche Jonadab, oure fadir, comaundide to vs.
Pero hemos estado viviendo en tiendas de campaña, y hemos hecho todo lo que Jonadab nuestro padre nos dio órdenes de hacer.
11 But whanne Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, hadde stied to this lond, we seiden, Come ye, and entre we in to Jerusalem, fro the face of the oost of Caldeis, and fro the face of the oost of Sirie; and we dwelliden in Jerusalem.
Pero cuando Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, subió a la tierra, dijimos: “Vamos, vamos a Jerusalén, lejos del ejército de los caldeos y del ejército de los arameos; y por eso vivimos en Jerusalén”.
12 And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye,
Entonces vino la palabra del Señor a Jeremías, diciendo:
13 and seide, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Go thou, and seie to the men of Juda, and to the dwelleris of Jerusalem, Whether ye schulen not take techyng, that ye obeie to my wordis, seith the Lord?
Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel: Ve y dile a los hombres de Judá y al pueblo de Jerusalén: ¿No hay esperanza de enseñarte a escuchar mis palabras? dice el Señor.
14 The wordis of Jonadab, sone of Rechab, hadden the maistrie, whiche he comaundide to hise sones, that thei schulden not drynke wyn; and thei drynken not, `til to this dai; for thei obeieden to the comaundement of her fadir; but Y spak to you, and Y roos ful eerli, and spake, and ye obeieden not to me.
Las órdenes que Jonadab, el hijo de Recab, dio a sus hijos para que no tomaran vino, se cumplen, y hasta el día de hoy no toman vino, porque cumplen las órdenes de su padre, pero he enviado mis palabras a ti, levantándote temprano, en repetidas ocasiones, y no me has escuchado.
15 And Y sente to you alle my seruauntis profetis, and Y roos ful eerli, and Y sente, and seide, Be ye conuertid, ech man fro his worste weye, and make ye good youre studies, and nyle ye sue alien goddis, nether worschipe ye hem, and ye schulen dwelle in the lond, which Y yaf to you, and to youre fadris; and ye bowiden not youre eere, nether herden me.
Y te he enviado a todos mis siervos los profetas, levantándome temprano y enviándolos, diciendo: Vuelve, ahora, cada uno de su mal camino, y sus malas acciones, y no vayan tras otros dioses para convertirse en sus sirvientes, y seguirán viviendo en la tierra que te he dado a ti y a tus padres, pero tus oídos no han sido abiertos y no me has prestado atención.
16 Therfor the sones of Jonadab, sone of Recab, maden stidfast the comaundement of her fadir, which he comaundide to hem; but this puple obeiede not to me.
Aunque los hijos de Jonadab, hijo de Recab, han hecho las órdenes de su padre que él les dio, esta gente no me ha escuchado.
17 Therfor the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal bringe on Juda, and on alle the dwelleris of Jerusalem, al the turment which Y spak ayens hem; for Y spak to hem, and thei herden not; Y clepide hem, and thei answeriden not to me.
Por esta razón, el Señor, el Dios de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel, ha dicho: Mira, enviaré a Judá y a todo el pueblo de Jerusalén todo el mal que dije que les haría; porque Les envié mis palabras, pero no escucharon; los he llamado, pero no respondieron.
18 Forsothe Jeremye seide to the hous of Recabitis, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, For that that ye obeieden to the comaundement of Jonadab, youre fadir, and kepten alle hise comaundementis, and diden alle thingis, whiche he comaundide to you;
Pero a los recabitas, Jeremías dijo: Esto es lo que el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel, ha dicho: Porque has hecho las órdenes de Jonadab tu padre, y has mantenido sus reglas, y has hecho todo lo que él dio ordenes de hacer.
19 therfor the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, A man of the generacioun of Jonadab, sone of Recab, schal not faile stondynge in my siyt in alle daies.
Por esta razón, el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel, ha dicho: Jonadab, el hijo de Recab, nunca estará sin un descendiente que tome su lugar delante de mí.
