Jeremiah 35
1 The word that was maad of the Lord to Jeremye, in the daies of Joachym, sone of Josie,

2 kyng of Juda, and seide, Go thou to the hous of Recabitis, and speke thou to hem; and thou schalt brynge hem in to the hous of the Lord, in to o chaumbre of tresouris, and thou schalt yyue to hem to drynke wyn.
O hele oe i ka hale o ka Rekaba, a e olelo aku ia lakou, a e lawe mai ia lakou i ka hale o Iehova, a iloko o kekahi keena, a e hoohainu ia lakou i ka waina.
3 And Y took Jeconye, the sone of Jeremye, sone of Absanye, and hise britheren, and alle the sones of hym, and al the hous of Recabitis.
Alaila, kii aku la au ia Iaazania i ke keiki a Ieremia, ke keiki a Habazinia, a me kona poe hoahanau, a me kana mau keikikane a pau, a me ko ka hale a pau o ka Rekaba;
4 And Y ledde hem in to the hous of the Lord, to the treserie of the sones of Eman, sone of Godolie, the man of God; which treserie was bisidis the treserie of princes, aboue the tresour of Maasie, sone of Sellum, that was kepere of the vestiarie.
A lawe ae la au ia lakou iloko o ka hale o Iehova, a iloko o ke keena o na keiki a Hanana, ke keiki a Igedalia, he kanaka no ke Akua, aia kokoke i ke keena o na'lii, maluna hoi o ke keena o Maaseia ke keiki a Saluma, ke kiaipuka.
5 And Y settide bifore the sones of the hous of Recabitis pecis, and grete cowpis ful of wyn; and Y seide to hem, Drinke ye wyn.

6 And thei answeriden, We schulen not drinke wyn; for whi Jonadab, oure fadir, the sone of Recab, comaundide to vs, and seide, Ye schulen not drinke wyn, ye and youre sones, `til in to withouten ende;
Alaila, olelo mai la lakou, Aole makou e inu i ka waina; no ka mea, kauoha mai la o Ionadaba ke keiki a Rekaba ko makou kupuna ia makou, i mai la, Mai inu oukou i ka waina, o oukou, a me ka oukou poe keiki, a i ka manawa pau ole.
7 and ye schulen not bilde an hous, and ye schulen not sowe seed, and ye schulen not plaunte vynes, nether schulen haue, but ye schulen dwelle in tabernaclis in alle youre daies, that ye lyue many daies on the face of erthe, in which ye goen in pilgrymage.
Mai kukulu hale hoi oukou, mai lulu hua, mai kanu pawaina, aole na oukou ia; aka, i ko oukou mau la a pau, e noho oukou ma na halelewa, i nui na la o ko oukou ola ana ma ka aina a oukou i noho malihini ai.
8 Therfor we obeieden to the vois of Jonadab, oure fadir, the sone of Recab, in alle thingis whiche he comaundide to vs; so that we drunken not wyn in alle oure dayes, we, and oure wymmen, oure sones, and douytris;
Pela makou i hoolohe ai i ka leo o Ionadaba, ke keiki a Rekaba, ko makou kupunakane, ma na mea a pau ana i kauoha mai ai ia makou, e inu ole i ka waina i ko makou mau la a pau, o makou a me ka makou poe wahine, a me ka makou poe keikikane a me ka makou poe kaikamahine.
9 and we bildiden not housis to dwelle, and we hadden not a vyner, and a feeld, and seed;
Aole hoi e kukulu hale no makou e noho ai iloko; aole hoi o makou pawaiua, aole mahinaai, aole hua.
10 but we dwelliden in tabernaclis, and weren obeiynge, and diden bi alle thingis, whiche Jonadab, oure fadir, comaundide to vs.
Aka, ua noho makou ma na halelewa, a ua hoolohe, a ua hana e like me na mea a pau a Ionadaba, ko makou kupuna i Kauoha mai ai ia makou.
11 But whanne Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, hadde stied to this lond, we seiden, Come ye, and entre we in to Jerusalem, fro the face of the oost of Caldeis, and fro the face of the oost of Sirie; and we dwelliden in Jerusalem.
A i ka manawa i pii mai ai i kela aina o Nebukaneza ke alii o Babulona, alaila, i iho la makou, Ea, o haele kakou i Ierusalema no ka makau i ka poe kaua o ko Kaledea, a no ka makau i ka poe kaua o ko Suria; nolaila makou e noho nei i Ierusalema.
12 And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye,
Alaila, hiki mai la ka olelo a Iehova ia Ieremia, i mai la,
13 and seide, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Go thou, and seie to the men of Juda, and to the dwelleris of Jerusalem, Whether ye schulen not take techyng, that ye obeie to my wordis, seith the Lord?
Ke olelo mai nei o Iehova o na kaua, ke Akua o ka Iseraela penei; O hele e hai aku i na kanaka, i ka Iuda, a me ka poe noho ma Ierusalema, Aole anei oukou e ae i ke ao ana, aole anei oukou e hoolohe i ka'u mau olelo? wahi a Iehova.
14 The wordis of Jonadab, sone of Rechab, hadden the maistrie, whiche he comaundide to hise sones, that thei schulden not drynke wyn; and thei drynken not, `til to this dai; for thei obeieden to the comaundement of her fadir; but Y spak to you, and Y roos ful eerli, and spake, and ye obeieden not to me.
O na olelo a Ionadaba, ke keiki a Rekaba ana i kauoha iho ai i kana poe keiki, aole e inu i ka waina, ua malamaia. No ka mea, a hiki mai i keia la, ua inu ole lakou, a ua malama hoi i ke kauoha a ka makua. Aka, ua olelo aku no wau ia oukou, e ala ana i ka wanaao e olelo, aole nae oukou i hoolohe mai ia'u.
15 And Y sente to you alle my seruauntis profetis, and Y roos ful eerli, and Y sente, and seide, Be ye conuertid, ech man fro his worste weye, and make ye good youre studies, and nyle ye sue alien goddis, nether worschipe ye hem, and ye schulen dwelle in the lond, which Y yaf to you, and to youre fadris; and ye bowiden not youre eere, nether herden me.

16 Therfor the sones of Jonadab, sone of Recab, maden stidfast the comaundement of her fadir, which he comaundide to hem; but this puple obeiede not to me.
No ka mea, ua malama na keiki a Ionadaba, ke keiki a Rekaba i ke kauoha o ko lakou makua, ana i kauoha ai ia lakou; a ua hoolohe ole keia poe kanaka ia'u:
17 Therfor the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal bringe on Juda, and on alle the dwelleris of Jerusalem, al the turment which Y spak ayens hem; for Y spak to hem, and thei herden not; Y clepide hem, and thei answeriden not to me.
Nolaila, ke olelo mai nei o Iehova, ke Akua o na kaua, ke Akua o ka Iseraela; Aia hoi, E lawe mai no wau maluna o ka Iuda, a maluna o ka poe a pau e noho la ma Ierusalema i ka hewa a pau a'u i olelo ai ia lakou: no ka mea, ua olelo no wau ia lakou, aole lakou i lohe mai; ua hea aku au ia lakou, aole lakou i o mai.
18 Forsothe Jeremye seide to the hous of Recabitis, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, For that that ye obeieden to the comaundement of Jonadab, youre fadir, and kepten alle hise comaundementis, and diden alle thingis, whiche he comaundide to you;
Olelo ae la o Ieremia i ko ka hale o ka Rekaba, Ke olelo mai nei o Iehova o na kaua, ke Akua o ka Iseraela, penei; No ka mea, ua hoolohe oukou i ke kauoha a Ionadaba, ko oukou kupunakane, a malama hoi i kona mau kanawai, a ua hana e like me ua mea a pau aua i kauoha mai ai ia oukou;
19 therfor the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, A man of the generacioun of Jonadab, sone of Recab, schal not faile stondynge in my siyt in alle daies.
Nolaila, ke olelo mai nei o Iehova o na kaua, ke Akua o ka Iseraela, Aole e nele o Ionadaba, ke keiki a Rekaba, i ke kanaka e ku imua o'u, a hiki i ka manawa pau ole.
