Jeremiah 28
1 And it was don in that yeer, in the bigynnyng of the rewme of Sedechie, kyng of Juda, in the fourthe yeer, in the fyuethe monethe, Ananye, the sone of Azur, a profete of Gabaon, seide to me in the hous of the Lord, bifor the preestis, and al the puple,
Esto es lo que sucedió al principio del reinado del rey Sedequías de Judá, en el quinto mes de ese mismo año, el cuarto año. El profeta Ananías, hijo de Azzur, que era de Gabaón, me dijo en el Templo del Señor, delante de los sacerdotes y de todo el pueblo:
2 `and seide, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Y haue al to-broke the yok of the kyng of Babiloyne.
“Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso, el Dios de Israel: He roto el yugo del rey de Babilonia.
3 Yit twei yeeris of daies ben, and Y schal make to be brouyt ayen to this place alle the vessels of the Lord, whiche Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, took fro this place, and translatide tho in to Babiloyne.
Antes de que pasen dos años voy a traer de vuelta a Jerusalén todos los objetos del Templo que Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, quitó y se llevó a Babilonia.
4 And Y schal turne to this place, seith the Lord, Jeconye, the sone of Joachym, the kyng of Juda, and al the passyng ouer of Juda, that entriden in to Babiloyne; for Y schal al to-breke the yok of the kyng of Babiloyne.
También haré volver a Jerusalén a Joaquín, hijo de Joaquín, rey de Judá, junto con todos los exiliados de Judá que fueron llevados a Babilonia, declara el Señor, porque voy a romper el yugo del rey de Babilonia”.
5 And Jeremye, the profete, seide to Ananye, the profete, bifore the iyen of preestis, and bifore the iyen of al the puple that stoden in the hous of the Lord.
Entonces el profeta Jeremías respondió al profeta Ananías delante de los sacerdotes y de todo el pueblo que estaba de pie en el Templo del Señor.
6 And Jeremye, the profete, seide to Ananye, Amen! so do the Lord; the Lord reise thi wordis whiche thou profesiedist, that the vessels be brouyt ayen in to the hous of the Lord, and al the passyng ouer fro Babiloyne, to this place.
“¡Amén!”, dijo Jeremías. “¡Deseo que el Señor haga precisamente eso! Ojalá el Señor cumpliera tus palabras proféticas y trajera de vuelta a Jerusalén los objetos del Templo y a todos los exiliados de Babilonia.
7 Netheles here thou this word, which Y speke in thin eeris, and in the eeris of al the puple.
“Pero aun así, presten atención a este mensaje que les voy a decir a ustedes y a todos los presentes.
8 Profetis that weren bifore me, and bifor thee, fro the bigynnyng, and profesieden on many londis, and on many rewmes, of batel, and of turment, and of hungur.
Los profetas de antaño que vinieron antes que tú y yo profetizaron guerra, desastre y enfermedad contra muchos países y grandes reinos.
9 The profete that profesiede pees, whanne his word cometh, shal be knowun the profete whom the Lord sente in treuthe.
Cuando se trata de un profeta que profetiza la paz, vean si sus profecías se hacen realidad. Sólo eso probará que son realmente enviados del Señor”.
10 And Ananye, the profete, took the chayne fro the necke of Jeremye, the profete, and brak it.
Entonces el profeta Hananías quitó el yugo del cuello del profeta Jeremías y lo rompió.
11 And Ananye, the profete, seide in the siyt of al the puple, `and seide, The Lord seith these thingis, So Y schal breke the yok of Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, aftir twei yeeris of daies, fro the necke of alle folkis.
Hananías anunció delante de todos: “Esto es lo que dice el Señor: Así, antes de que pasen dos años, romperé el yugo de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, del cuello de todas las naciones”. El profeta Jeremías se fue.
12 And Jeremye, the profete, yede in to his weie. And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye, aftir that Ananye, the profete, brak the chayne fro the necke of Jeremye; and the Lord seide,
Sin embargo, justo después de que el profeta Hananías rompiera el yugo de su cuello, llegó a Jeremías un mensaje del Señor:
13 Go thou, and seie to Ananye, The Lord seith these thingis, Thou hast al to-broke the chaynes of tre, and thou schalt make yrun chaynes for tho.
“Ve y dile a Hananías que esto es lo que dice el Señor: Has roto un yugo de madera, pero lo has sustituido por un yugo de hierro.
14 For the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Y haue set an yrun yok on the necke of alle these folkis, that thei serue Nabugodonosor, the king of Babiloyne, and thei schulen serue hym; ferthermore and Y yaf to hym the beestis of erthe.
Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso, el Dios de Israel: He atado yugos de hierro al cuello de todas estas naciones para obligarlas a servir a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, y le servirán. Incluso le he dado el control sobre los animales salvajes”.
15 And Jeremye, the profete, seide to Ananye, the profete, Ananye, here thou; the Lord sente not thee, and thou madist this puple for to triste in a leesyng.
Entonces el profeta Jeremías le dijo al profeta Hananías: “¡Escucha esto, Hananías! El Señor no te envió a ti, pero tú has convencido a este pueblo de creer en una mentira.
16 Therfor the Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal sende thee out fro the face of erthe; in this yeer thou schalt die, for thou spakest ayens the Lord.
Así que esto es lo que dice el Señor: Voy a deshacerme de ti de la tierra. Morirás este año porque has promovido la rebelión contra el Señor”.
17 And Ananye, the profete, diede in that yeer, in the seuenthe monethe.
El profeta Ananías murió en el séptimo mes de ese mismo año.
