Jeremiah 24
1 The Lord schewide to me, and lo! twei panyeris ful of figys weren set bifor the temple of the Lord, aftir that Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, translatide Jeconye, the sone of Joachym, the kyng of Juda, and the princes of hym, and a sutil crafti man, and a goldsmith fro Jerusalem, and brouyte hem in to Babiloyne.
HOIKE mai o Iehova ia'u, aia hoi, elua hinai fiku e kau ana ma ke alo o ka luakini o Iehova, mahope iho o ka lawe pio ana o Nebukaneza, o ke alii o Babulona ia Iekonia i ke keiki a Iehoiakima, ke alii o ka Iuda, a me na kaukaualii o ka Iuda, a me na kamana, a me na amara, mai Ierusalema aku, a lawe ia lakou i Babulona.
2 And o panyere hadde ful good figis, as figis of the firste tyme ben wont to be; and o panyere hadde ful yuel figis, that miyten not be etun, for tho weren yuel figis.
Hookahi hinai fiku maikai loa, e like me na fiku oo mua; a o kela hinai, he fiku inoino, aole pono ke aiia, no ko lakou inoino loa.
3 And the Lord seide to me, Jeremye, what thing seest thou? And Y seide, Figis, goode figis, ful goode, and yuele figis, ful yuele, that moun not be etun, for tho ben yuele figis.
Alaila, olelo mai la o Iehova ia'u. Heaha kau e ike nei, e Ieremia? I aku la au, He mau fiku; o na fiku maikai, ua maikai loa, a o na fiku ino, ua inoino loa, aole pono ke aiia, no ko lakou inoino loa.
4 And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
Hiki hou mai la ka olelo a Iehova ia'u, i mai la,
5 and seide, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, As these figis ben goode, so Y schal knowe the transmygracioun of Juda, which I sente out fro this place in to the lond of Caldeis, in to good.
Ke olelo mai nei o Iehova, ke Akua o ka Iseraela penei; E like me keia mau fiku maikai, pela no wau e hoomaopopo ai i ka poe i lawepioia o ka Iuda, ka poe a'u i kipaku aku ai, mai keia wahi aku a i ka aina o ko Kaledea, i mea e pono ai.
6 And Y schal sette myn iyen on hem to plese, and Y schal brynge hem ayen in to this lond; and Y schal bilde hem, and Y schal not distrie hem; and Y schal plaunte hem, and Y schal not drawe vp bi the roote.
No ka mea, e kau no ko'u maka maluna o lakou i mea e pono ai, a e lawe hou mai no wau ia lakou i keia aina; a e kukulu no wau ia lakou, aole au e wawahi ia lakou, e kanu no wau ia lakou, aole e uhuki ia lakou.
7 And Y schal yyue to hem an herte, that thei knowe me, for Y am the Lord; and thei schulen be in to a puple to me, and Y schal be in to God to hem, for thei schulen turne ayen to me in al her herte.
A e haawi no wau ia lakou i naau e ike mai ai ia'u, owau no o Iehova; a o lakou auanei ko'u poe kanaka, a owau auanei ko lakou Akua; no ka mea, e hoi mai no lakou ia'u me ko lakou naau a pau.
8 And as the worste figis ben, that moun not be etun, for tho ben yuele figis, the Lord seith these thingis, So Y schal yyue Sedechie, the kyng of Juda, and the princes of hym, and other men of Jerusalem, that dwelliden in this citee, and that dwellen in the lond of Egipt.
A e like me na fiku inoino, pono ole ke aiia no ka inoino loa; He oiaio, wahi a Iehova, pela no wau e haawi aku ai ia Zedekia, i ke alii o ka Iuda, a me kana poe alii, a me ke koena o Ierusalema, ka poe e koe ana ma keia aina, a me ka poe e noho ana ma ka aina o Aigupita;
9 And Y schal yyue hem into trauelyng and turment in alle rewmes of erthe, in to schenschipe, and in to parable, and in to a prouerbe, and in to cursyng, in alle places to whiche Y castide hem out.
A haawi no wau ia lakou e laweia iloko o na aupuni a pau o ka honua nei, i mea hoopai, a i mea hoowahawaha, a i mea henehene, a i mea kuamuamu, a i mea hoopoino, ma na wahi a pau, a'u e kipaku aku ai ia lakou.
10 And Y schal sende in hem a swerd, and hungur, and pestilence, til thei be wastid fro the lond which Y yaf to hem, and to the fadris of hem.
A e hoouna aku au i ka pahikaua, a me ka wi, a me ka mai ahulau iwaena o lakou, a hoopauia lakou, mai ka aina a'u i haawi aku ai ia lakou, a i ko lakou poe makua.
