Jeremiah 23

1 Wo to the scheepherdis, that scateren and to-drawen the floc of my lesewe, seith the Lord.

௧என் மேய்ச்சலின் ஆடுகளைக் கெடுத்துச் சிதறடிக்கிற மேய்ப்பர்களுக்கு ஐயோ, என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

2 Therfor the Lord God of Israel seith these thingis to the scheepherdis, that feeden my puple, Ye han scaterid my floc, and han cast hem out, and han not visitid hem; lo! Y schal visite on you the malice of youre studies, seith the Lord.

௨இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா தமது மக்களை மேய்க்கிற மேய்ப்பர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகச் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், நீங்கள் என் ஆடுகளைப் பராமரிக்காமல், அவைகளைச் சிதறடித்து அவைகளைச் துரத்திவிட்டீர்கள்; இதோ, நான் உங்கள்பேரில் உங்கள் செய்கைகளின் பொல்லாப்புக்கேற்ற தண்டனையை உங்கள்மேல் வருவிப்பேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

3 And Y schal gadere togidere the remenauntis of my floc fro alle londis, to whiche Y schal caste hem out thidur; and Y schal turne hem to her feeldis, and thei schulen encreesse, and schulen be multiplied.

௩நான் என் ஆடுகளில் மீதியாக இருப்பவைகளைத் துரத்தியிருந்த எல்லா தேசங்களிலுமிருந்து சேர்த்து, அவைகளைத் திரும்ப அவைகளின் தொழுவங்களுக்குக் கொண்டுவருவேன்; அப்பொழுது அவைகள் பலுகிப்பெருகும்.

4 And Y schal reise schepherdis on hem, and thei schulen feede hem; thei schulen no more drede, and schulen not be aferd; and noon schal be souyt of the noumbre seith the Lord.

௪அவைகளை மேய்க்கத் தகுதி உள்ளவர்களையும் அவைகள்மேல் ஏற்படுத்துவேன்; இனி அவைகள் பயப்படுவதுமில்லை, கலங்குவதுமில்லை, காணாமற்போவதுமில்லையென்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

5 Lo! daies comen, seith the Lord, and Y schal reise a iust buriownyng to Dauid; and he schal regne a kyng, and he schal be wijs, and he schal make doom and riytfulnesse in erthe.

௫இதோ, நாட்கள் வருமென்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார், அப்பொழுது தாவீதிற்கு ஒரு நீதியுள்ள கிளையை எழும்பச்செய்வேன்; அவர் ராஜாவாயிருந்து, ஞானமாய் ஆட்சிசெய்து, பூமியில் நியாயத்தையும் நீதியையும் நடப்பிப்பார்.

6 In tho daies Juda schal be sauid, and Israel schal dwelle tristili; and this is the name which thei schulen clepe hym, The Lord oure riytful.

௬அவர் நாட்களில் யூதா காப்பாற்றப்படும், இஸ்ரவேல் சுகமாக வாசம்செய்யும்; அவருக்குச் சூட்டப்படும் பெயர் நமது நீதியாயிருக்கிற யெகோவா என்பதே.

7 For this thing lo! daies comen, seith the Lord, and thei schulen no more seie, The Lord lyueth, that ledde the sones of Israel out of the lond of Egipt;

௭ஆதலால், இதோ, நாட்கள் வரும், அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களை எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவந்த யெகோவாவுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சத்தியம் செய்யாமல்,

8 but, The Lord lyueth, that ledde out, and brouyte the seed of the hous of Israel fro the lond of the north, and fro alle londis to whiche Y hadde cast hem out thidur; and thei schulen dwelle in her lond.

௮இஸ்ரவேல் வீட்டின் சந்ததியாரைத் தங்கள் சொந்ததேசத்தில் குடியிருப்பதற்கு வடதேசத்திலும், நான் அவர்களைத் துரத்தியிருந்த எல்லா தேசங்களிலுமிருந்து அழைத்து வழிநடத்திக்கொண்டுவந்த யெகோவாவுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சத்தியம் செய்வார்களென்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

9 To the prophetis; Myn herte is contrit in the myddis of me, alle my boonys trembliden togidere; Y am maad as a man drunkun, and as a man weet of wyn, of the face of the Lord, and of the face of the hooli wordis of hym;

௯தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்காக என் இருதயம் என் உள்ளத்தில் நொறுங்கியிருக்கிறது; என் எலும்புகளெல்லாம் அதிருகிறது; கர்த்தருக்காகவும், அவருடைய பரிசுத்த வார்த்தைகளுக்காகவும் நான் வெறித்திருக்கிற மனிதனைப்போலவும் மதுபானம் மேற்கொண்டவனைப்போலவும் இருக்கிறேன்.

10 for the lond is fillid with auowteris. For the erthe mourenede of the face of cursyng; the feeldis of desert ben maad drie, the cours of hem is maad yuel, and her strengthe is vnlijk.

௧0தேசம் விபசாரக்காரரால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது, தேசம் சாபத்தினால் துக்கிக்கிறது, வனாந்திரத்தின் மேய்ச்சல்கள் வாடிப்போகிறது; அவர்கள் ஓட்டம் பொல்லாதது; அவர்கள் பெலன் அநியாயமாயிருக்கிறது.

11 For whi the profete and the prest ben defoulid; and in myn hous, seith the Lord, Y foond the yuel of hem.

௧௧தீர்க்கதரிசியும் ஆசாரியனும் மாயக்காரராயிருக்கிறார்கள்; என் ஆலயத்திலும் அவர்களுடைய பொல்லாப்பைக் கண்டேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

12 Therfor the weie of hem schal be as slidur in derknessis, for thei schulen be hurtlid, and schulen falle doun therynne; for Y schal bringe on hem yuels, the yeer of visitacioun of hem, seith the Lord.

௧௨ஆதலால், அவர்கள் வழி அவர்களுக்கு இருட்டில் சறுக்கலான வழியாயிருக்கும், துரத்தப்பட்டு அதில் விழுவார்கள்; அவர்கள் விசாரிக்கப்படும் வருடத்தில் அவர்கள்மேல் பொல்லாப்பை வரச்செய்வேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

13 And in the profetis of Samarie Y siy fonnednesse, and thei profesieden in Baal, and disseyueden my puple Israel.

௧௩சமாரியாவின் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளிலோ மதிகேட்டைக் கண்டேன்; பாகாலைக்கொண்டு தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ்சொல்லி, இஸ்ரவேல் என்னும் என் மக்களை மோசம்போக்கினார்கள்.

14 And in the profetis of Jerusalem Y siy licnesse, auoutrie, and the weie of leesyng; and thei confortiden the hondis of the worste men, that ech man schulde not conuerte fro his malice; alle thei ben maad as Sodom to me, and alle the dwellers therof `ben maad as Gommorre.

௧௪எருசலேமின் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளிலும் திடுக்கிடத்தக்க காரியத்தைக் காண்கிறேன்; விபசாரம்செய்து, வஞ்சகமாய் நடந்து, ஒருவனும் தன் பொல்லாப்பைவிட்டுத் திரும்பாமல் பொல்லாதவர்களின் கைகளைத் திடப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் எனக்குச் சோதோமைப்போலவும், அதின் குடிமக்கள் கொமோராவைப்போலவும் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

15 Therfor the Lord of oostis seith these thingis to the prophetis, Lo! Y schal feed hem with wermod, and Y schal yyue drynke to hem with galle; for whi defoulyng is goen out of the profetis of Jerusalem on al the lond.

௧௫ஆதலால் சேனைகளின் யெகோவா தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக்குறித்து: இதோ, நான் அவர்களுக்குச் சாப்பிட எட்டியையும், குடிக்க விஷம் கலந்த தண்ணீரையும் கொடுப்பேன்; எருசலேமின் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளிலிருந்து மாயமானது தேசமெங்கும் பரவிற்றோ என்று சொல்லுகிறார்.

16 The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Nyle ye here the wordis of profetis, that profesien to you, and disseyuen you; thei speken the visioun of her herte, not of the mouth of the Lord.

௧௬உங்களுக்குத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிற தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளாதிருங்கள்; அவர்கள் உங்களை வீண்பெருமையடையச் செய்கிறார்கள்; யெகோவாவுடைய வாக்கை அல்ல, தாங்கள் யூகித்த தரிசனத்தைச் சொல்லுகிறார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

17 Thei seien to hem that blasfemen me, The Lord spak, Pees schal be to you; and thei seiden to ech man that goith in the schrewidnesse of his herte, Yuel schal not come on you.

௧௭அவர்கள் என்னை அசட்டை செய்கிறவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்களுக்குச் சமாதானம் இருக்குமென்று யெகோவா சொன்னாரென்று சொல்லுகிறதுமல்லாமல்; தங்கள் இருதயத்தின் கடினத்தில் நடக்கிற அனைவரையும் நோக்கி: உங்கள்மேல் பொல்லாப்பு வராதென்றும் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.

18 For whi who is present in the councel of the Lord, and siy, and herde his word? who bihelde, and herde the word of hym?

௧௮யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலோசனையில் நின்று, அவருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேட்டறிந்தவன் யார்? அவருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கவனித்துக் கேட்டவன் யார்?

19 Lo! the whirlewynd of the Lordis indignacioun schal go out, and tempest brekynge schal come on the heed of wickid men.

௧௯இதோ, யெகோவாவுடைய பெருங்காற்றாகிய கொடிய புயல் புறப்பட்டது; அது துன்மார்க்கருடைய தலையின்மேல் கடுமையாக மோதும்.

20 The strong veniaunce of the Lord schal not turne ayen, til that he do, and til that he fille the thouyt of his herte. In the laste daies ye schulen vndurstonde the councel of hym.

௨0யெகோவா தம்முடைய இருதயத்தின் நினைவுகளை செய்து நிறைவேற்றுமளவும், அவருடைய கோபம் தணியாது; கடைசி நாட்களில் அதை நன்றாய் உணருவீர்கள்.

21 Y sente not the profetis, and thei runnen; Y spak not to hem, and thei profesieden.

௨௧அந்தத் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளை நான் அனுப்பாதிருந்தும் அவர்கள் ஓடினார்கள்; அவர்களுடன் நான் பேசாதிருந்தும் அவர்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொன்னார்கள்.

22 If thei hadden stonde in my councel, and hadde maad knowun my wordis to my puple, forsothe Y hadde turned hem awei fro her yuel weie, and fro her worste thouytis.

௨௨அவர்கள் என் ஆலோசனையில் நிலைத்திருந்தார்களேயாகில், அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் என் வார்த்தைகளை மக்களுக்குத் தெரிவித்து, அவர்களைத் தங்கள் பொல்லாத வழிகளையும் தங்கள் செய்கைகளின் பொல்லாப்பையும் விட்டுத் திருப்புவார்கள்.

23 Gessist thou, whether Y am God of niy, seith the Lord, and not God afer?

௨௩நான் சமீபத்திற்கு மாத்திரமா தேவன், தூரத்திற்கும் தேவன் அல்லவோ என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

24 A man schal not be priuy in hid places, and Y schal not se hym, seith the Lord. Whether Y fille not heuene and erthe? seith the Lord.

௨௪யாராவது தன்னை நான் காணாதபடிக்கு மறைவிடங்களில் ஒளித்துக்கொள்ள முடியுமோ என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; நான் வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் நிரப்புகிறவர் அல்லவோ என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

25 Y herde what thingis the profetis seiden, profesiynge a leesyng in my name, and seiynge, Y dremede dremes.

௨௫சொப்பனங்கண்டேன், சொப்பனங்கண்டேன் என்று, என் பெயரைச் சொல்லிப் பொய்த்தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிற தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் சொல்லுகிறதைக் கேட்டேன்.

26 Hou longe is this thing in the herte of profetis, profesiynge a leesyng, and profesiynge the disseite of her herte?

௨௬எதுவரைக்கும் இப்படியிருக்கும்? பொய்த்தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிற தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் இருதயத்தில் ஏதாகிலுமுண்டோ? இவர்கள் தங்கள் இருதயத்தின் வஞ்சகத்தையே தீர்க்கதரிசனமாகச் சொல்லுகிறவர்கள்.

27 Whiche wolen make, that my puple foryete my name for the dremes of hem, which ech man tellith to his neiybore, as the fadris of hem foryaten my name for Baal.

௨௭என் மக்களின் முற்பிதாக்கள் பாகாலுக்காக என் பெயரை மறந்ததுபோல, இவர்கள் தங்கள் அயலாருக்கு விவரிக்கிற தங்கள் சொப்பனங்களினால் என் பெயரை அவர்கள் மறக்கும்படி செய்யப்பார்க்கிறார்கள்.

28 A profete that hath a dreme, telle a dreem; and he that hath my word, speke verili my word. What is with chaffis to the wheete? seith the Lord.

௨௮சொப்பனங்கண்ட தீர்க்கதரிசி சொப்பனத்தை விவரிப்பானாக; என் வார்த்தையுள்ளவனோ, என் வார்த்தையை உண்மையாய்ச் சொல்வானாக; கோதுமைக்குமுன் பதர் எம்மாத்திரம்? என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

29 Whether my wordis ben not as fier brennynge, seith the Lord, and as an hamer al to-brekynge a stoon?

௨௯என் வார்த்தை நெருப்பைப்போலும், கன்மலையை நொறுக்கும் சம்மட்டியைப்போலும் இருக்கிறதல்லவோ? என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

30 Therfor lo! Y am redi to the profetis, seith the Lord, that stelen my wordis, ech man fro his neiybore.

௩0ஆகையால், இதோ, ஒவ்வொருவராய்த் தன்தன் அயலாரிடத்தில் என் வார்த்தையைத் திருட்டுத்தனமாய் எடுக்கிற தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கு நான் விரோதி என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

31 Lo! Y to the profetis, seith the Lord, that taken her tungis, and seien, The Lord seith.

௩௧இதோ, தங்கள் நாவின் சொல்லையே வழங்கி: அவர் அதை சொன்னார் என்று சொல்லுகிற தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கு நான் விரோதி என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

32 Lo! Y to the profetis, dremynge a leesyng, seith the Lord; which telden tho, and disseyueden my puple in her leesyng, and in her myraclis, whanne Y hadde not sente hem, nether hadde comaundide to hem; whiche profitiden no thing to this puple, seith the Lord.

௩௨இதோ, பொய்ச்சொப்பனங்களைத் தீர்க்கதரிசனமாகச் சொல்லி, அவைகளை விவரித்து, என் மக்களைத் தங்கள் பொய்களினாலும், தங்கள் வீம்புகளினாலும், மோசம்போக்குகிறவர்களுக்கு நான் விரோதி என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; நான் அவர்களை அனுப்பினதுமில்லை, அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பித்ததுமில்லை; அவர்கள் இந்த மக்களுக்கு ஒரு பிரயோஜனமாய் இருப்பதுமில்லை என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

33 Therfor if this puple, ether profete, ether prest, axith thee, and seith, What is the birthun of the Lord? thou schalt seie to hem, Ye ben the birthun, for Y schal caste you awei, seith the Lord;

௩௩யெகோவா சொன்னது என்னவென்று, இந்த மக்களாகிலும் ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிலும் ஒரு ஆசாரியனாகிலும் உன்னைக் கேட்டால், உங்களைத் தள்ளிவிடுவேன் என்பதே பதில் என்று நீ அவர்களுடன் சொல்லவேண்டும்.

34 and a profete, and a prest, and the puple, that seith, The birthun of the Lord, Y schal visite on that man, and on his hous.

௩௪கர்த்தரால் வரும் பதில் என்று சொல்லுகிற தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிலும் ஆசாரியனாகிலும் மக்களாகிலும் சரி, அப்படிச் சொல்லுகிற மனிதனையும் அவன் வீட்டாரையும் தண்டிப்பேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.

35 Ye schulen seie these thingis, ech man to his neiybore, and to his brother, What answeride the Lord? and what spak the Lord?

௩௫யெகோவா என்ன பதில் கொடுத்தார்? யெகோவா என்ன சொன்னார்? என்று நீங்கள் அவரவர் தங்கள் அருகில் உள்ளவனையும் அவரவர் தங்கள் சகோதரனையும் கேளுங்கள்.

36 For the birthun of the Lord schal no more be remembrid, and the word of ech man schal be birthun to hym; and ye han peruertid the wordis of lyuynge God, of the Lord of oostis, youre God.

௩௬ஆனால் கர்த்தரால் வரும் பதில் என்கிற சொல்லை இனி வழங்காதிருப்பீர்களாக, அவனவன் வார்த்தையே அவனவனுக்குப் பதிலாயிருக்கும்; அதேனென்றால், நமது தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் யெகோவா என்கிற ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய வார்த்தைகளைப் புரட்டுகிறீர்கள்.

37 Thou schalt seie these thingis to the profete, What answeride the Lord to thee? and what spak the Lord?

௩௭யெகோவா உனக்கு என்ன பதில் கொடுத்தார்? யெகோவா என்ன சொன்னார்? என்று நீ தீர்க்கதரிசியைக் கேட்பாயாக.

38 Forsothe if ye seien, The birthin of the Lord, for this thing the Lord seith these thingis, For ye seiden this word, The birthun of the Lord, and Y sente to you, and Y seide, Nyle ye seie, The birthun of the Lord; therfor lo!

௩௮நீங்களோவென்றால், கர்த்தரால் வரும் பதில் என்று சொல்லுகிறதினால்: யெகோவாவின் பதில் என்று சொல்லாதிருங்களென்று நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லி அனுப்பியும், நீங்கள் இந்த வார்த்தையைக் யெகோவாவின் பதில் என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்களே.

39 Y schal take you awei, and schal bere, and Y schal forsake you, and the citee which Y yaf to you, and to youre fadris, fro my face.

௩௯ஆதலால், இதோ, நான் உங்களை முற்றிலும் மறந்து, உங்களையும், நான் உங்களுக்கும் உங்கள் பிதாக்களுக்கும் கொடுத்த நகரத்தையும், எனக்கு முன்பாக இல்லாதபடி கைவிட்டு,

40 And Y schal yyue you in to euerlastynge schenschipe, and in to euerlastynge sclaundir, that schal neuere be doon awei bi foryetyng.

௪0மறக்கமுடியாத, நிலையான நிந்தையையும், நிலையான வெட்கத்தையும் உங்கள்மேல் வரச்செய்வேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
