Jeremiah 23
1 Wo to the scheepherdis, that scateren and to-drawen the floc of my lesewe, seith the Lord.
Ay! De los pastores que están causando la destrucción y la pérdida de las ovejas de mi campo, dice el Señor.
2 Therfor the Lord God of Israel seith these thingis to the scheepherdis, that feeden my puple, Ye han scaterid my floc, and han cast hem out, and han not visitid hem; lo! Y schal visite on you the malice of youre studies, seith the Lord.
Esto es lo que el Señor, el Dios de Israel, ha dicho contra los pastores que cuidan de mi pueblo: has dejado que mi rebaño se separe, los han hecho huir no cuidándolos; Mira, te enviaré el castigo por el mal de tus obras, dice el Señor.
3 And Y schal gadere togidere the remenauntis of my floc fro alle londis, to whiche Y schal caste hem out thidur; and Y schal turne hem to her feeldis, and thei schulen encreesse, and schulen be multiplied.
Y reuniré el resto de mi rebaño de todos los países donde los he enviado, y los haré regresar de nuevo a su lugar de descanso; y tendrán descendencia y serán aumentados.
4 And Y schal reise schepherdis on hem, and thei schulen feede hem; thei schulen no more drede, and schulen not be aferd; and noon schal be souyt of the noumbre seith the Lord.
Y pondré a los pastores que cuidarán de ellos; nunca más serán vencidos por el miedo ni se preocuparán, y no habrá pérdida de uno de ellos, dice el Señor.
5 Lo! daies comen, seith the Lord, and Y schal reise a iust buriownyng to Dauid; and he schal regne a kyng, and he schal be wijs, and he schal make doom and riytfulnesse in erthe.
Mira, vienen días, dice el Señor, cuando le daré a David una verdadera Rama, y él gobernará como rey, actuando sabiamente, haciendo lo correcto y juzgando rectamente en la tierra.
6 In tho daies Juda schal be sauid, and Israel schal dwelle tristili; and this is the name which thei schulen clepe hym, The Lord oure riytful.
En sus días, Judá tendrá la salvación e Israel vivirá sin temor; y este es el nombre con el que se llamará: El Señor es nuestra justicia.
7 For this thing lo! daies comen, seith the Lord, and thei schulen no more seie, The Lord lyueth, that ledde the sones of Israel out of the lond of Egipt;
Y así, en verdad, vendrán días en que ya no dirán: Vive él Señor, que sacó a los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto;
8 but, The Lord lyueth, that ledde out, and brouyte the seed of the hous of Israel fro the lond of the north, and fro alle londis to whiche Y hadde cast hem out thidur; and thei schulen dwelle in her lond.
Pero por el Señor viviente, que tomó los descendientes de Israel y los hizo salir del país del norte, y de todos los países donde los había enviado; y vivirán en la tierra que les pertenece.
9 To the prophetis; Myn herte is contrit in the myddis of me, alle my boonys trembliden togidere; Y am maad as a man drunkun, and as a man weet of wyn, of the face of the Lord, and of the face of the hooli wordis of hym;
Sobre los profetas mi corazón está roto en mí, todos mis huesos están temblando; Soy como un hombre ebrio, como un hombre vencido por el vino; por el Señor, y por sus santas palabras.
10 for the lond is fillid with auowteris. For the erthe mourenede of the face of cursyng; the feeldis of desert ben maad drie, the cours of hem is maad yuel, and her strengthe is vnlijk.
Porque la tierra está llena de hombres que no son fieles a sus esposas; a causa de la maldición, la tierra está llena de dolor; los campos verdes de los terrenos baldíos se han secado; y se apresuran a hacer el mal, su fuerza es para lo que no está bien.
11 For whi the profete and the prest ben defoulid; and in myn hous, seith the Lord, Y foond the yuel of hem.
Porque el profeta y el sacerdote son inmundos; incluso en mi casa he visto su maldad, dice el Señor.
12 Therfor the weie of hem schal be as slidur in derknessis, for thei schulen be hurtlid, and schulen falle doun therynne; for Y schal bringe on hem yuels, the yeer of visitacioun of hem, seith the Lord.
Por esta causa, su camino será como resbaladero; serán empujados a la oscuridad y caerán allí, porque les enviaré el mal en el año de su castigo, dice el Señor.
13 And in the profetis of Samarie Y siy fonnednesse, and thei profesieden in Baal, and disseyueden my puple Israel.
Y he visto caminos sin sentido en los profetas de Samaria; se convirtieron en profetas de Baal, causando que mi pueblo Israel se desvíe.
14 And in the profetis of Jerusalem Y siy licnesse, auoutrie, and the weie of leesyng; and thei confortiden the hondis of the worste men, that ech man schulde not conuerte fro his malice; alle thei ben maad as Sodom to me, and alle the dwellers therof `ben maad as Gommorre.
Y en los profetas de Jerusalén he visto algo espantoso; no son fieles a sus esposas, caminan en engaño, y hacen fuertes las manos de los malhechores, para que un hombre no pueda ser rechazado de su maldad; todos se han vuelto como Sodoma para mí, y su gente es como Gomorra.
15 Therfor the Lord of oostis seith these thingis to the prophetis, Lo! Y schal feed hem with wermod, and Y schal yyue drynke to hem with galle; for whi defoulyng is goen out of the profetis of Jerusalem on al the lond.
Así que esto es lo que el Señor de los ejércitos ha dicho acerca de los profetas: Mira, les daré una planta amarga para su comida y agua amarga para su bebida; porque de los profetas de Jerusalén ha salido el comportamiento inmundo a toda la tierra.
16 The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Nyle ye here the wordis of profetis, that profesien to you, and disseyuen you; thei speken the visioun of her herte, not of the mouth of the Lord.
Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor de los ejércitos: No escuches las palabras que te dicen los profetas; te dan enseñanzas sin valor; es de ellos mismos que su visión viene, y no de la boca del Señor.
17 Thei seien to hem that blasfemen me, The Lord spak, Pees schal be to you; and thei seiden to ech man that goith in the schrewidnesse of his herte, Yuel schal not come on you.
Siguen diciendo a los que no respetan la palabra del Señor: Tendrás paz; y a todos los que van por el orgullo de su corazón, dicen: No vendrá a ti maldad.
18 For whi who is present in the councel of the Lord, and siy, and herde his word? who bihelde, and herde the word of hym?
¿Por cuál de ellos tiene conocimiento del secreto del Señor, y lo ha visto y ha escuchado su palabra? ¿Cuál de ellos ha tomado nota de su palabra y le ha prestado atención?
19 Lo! the whirlewynd of the Lordis indignacioun schal go out, and tempest brekynge schal come on the heed of wickid men.
Mira, el viento de la tormenta del Señor, incluso el calor de su ira, se ha extinguido, una tormenta giratoria, que estalla en las cabezas de los malhechores.
20 The strong veniaunce of the Lord schal not turne ayen, til that he do, and til that he fille the thouyt of his herte. In the laste daies ye schulen vndurstonde the councel of hym.
La ira del Señor no volverá hasta que él haya terminado, hasta que él haya puesto en práctica los propósitos de su corazón; en los postreros próximos días lo entenderán todo esto.
21 Y sente not the profetis, and thei runnen; Y spak not to hem, and thei profesieden.
No envié a estos profetas, sino que salieron corriendo; no les dije nada, pero repartieron la palabra del profeta.
22 If thei hadden stonde in my councel, and hadde maad knowun my wordis to my puple, forsothe Y hadde turned hem awei fro her yuel weie, and fro her worste thouytis.
Pero si hubieran estado en mi secreto, entonces habrían hecho que mi pueblo escuchara mis palabras, apartándolos de su mal camino y del mal de sus obras.
23 Gessist thou, whether Y am God of niy, seith the Lord, and not God afer?
¿Soy solo un Dios que está cerca, dice el Señor, y no un Dios a distancia?
24 A man schal not be priuy in hid places, and Y schal not se hym, seith the Lord. Whether Y fille not heuene and erthe? seith the Lord.
¿En qué lugar secreto puede un hombre ponerse a cubierto sin que yo lo vea? dice el Señor ¿Hay algún lugar en el cielo o en la tierra donde no esté? dice el Señor.
25 Y herde what thingis the profetis seiden, profesiynge a leesyng in my name, and seiynge, Y dremede dremes.
Mis oídos han estado abiertos a lo que han dicho los profetas, quienes dicen palabras falsas en mi nombre, diciendo: He tenido un sueño, he tenido un sueño,
26 Hou longe is this thing in the herte of profetis, profesiynge a leesyng, and profesiynge the disseite of her herte?
¿Está mi palabra en los corazones de los profetas que dan palabras falsas, incluso los profetas que proclaman el engaño de sus corazones?
27 Whiche wolen make, that my puple foryete my name for the dremes of hem, which ech man tellith to his neiybore, as the fadris of hem foryaten my name for Baal.
Cuyo propósito es quitar el recuerdo de mi nombre de mi pueblo a través de sus sueños, de los cuales todo hombre está hablando a su prójimo, como sus padres renunciaron al recuerdo de mi nombre por causa de Baal.
28 A profete that hath a dreme, telle a dreem; and he that hath my word, speke verili my word. What is with chaffis to the wheete? seith the Lord.
Si un profeta tiene un sueño, que dé su sueño; y el que tenga mi palabra, que pronuncie mi palabra de buena fe. ¿Qué tiene que ver la paja con el grano? dice el Señor.
29 Whether my wordis ben not as fier brennynge, seith the Lord, and as an hamer al to-brekynge a stoon?
¿No es mi palabra fuego? dice el Señor Y como un martillo, rompiendo la roca en pedazos?
30 Therfor lo! Y am redi to the profetis, seith the Lord, that stelen my wordis, ech man fro his neiybore.
Por esta causa estoy en contra de los profetas, dice el Señor, quienes se roban mis palabras, cada uno de su prójimo.
31 Lo! Y to the profetis, seith the Lord, that taken her tungis, and seien, The Lord seith.
Mira, yo estoy contra los profetas, dice el Señor, que deja que sus lenguas digan, Él ha dicho.
32 Lo! Y to the profetis, dremynge a leesyng, seith the Lord; which telden tho, and disseyueden my puple in her leesyng, and in her myraclis, whanne Y hadde not sente hem, nether hadde comaundide to hem; whiche profitiden no thing to this puple, seith the Lord.
Mira, estoy en contra de los profetas de los sueños falsos, dice el Señor, quien los cuentan y hacen que mi pueblo se desvíe del camino por sus engaños y sus habladurías; pero yo no los envié ni les di órdenes; y no servirán de nada a este pueblo, dice el Señor.
33 Therfor if this puple, ether profete, ether prest, axith thee, and seith, What is the birthun of the Lord? thou schalt seie to hem, Ye ben the birthun, for Y schal caste you awei, seith the Lord;
Y si esta gente, o el profeta, o un sacerdote, preguntándote, dice: Cual es la carga del Señor? entonces tienes que decirles: Cuál carga? yo te abandonare, dice el Señor.
34 and a profete, and a prest, and the puple, that seith, The birthun of the Lord, Y schal visite on that man, and on his hous.
Y en cuanto al profeta y al sacerdote y a la gente que dice: Profecía del Señor! Enviaré castigo a ese hombre y a su casa.
35 Ye schulen seie these thingis, ech man to his neiybore, and to his brother, What answeride the Lord? and what spak the Lord?
Pero esto es lo que debes decir, cada hombre a su prójimo y cada hombre a su hermano, ¿qué respuesta ha dado el Señor? y ¿qué ha dicho el señor?
36 For the birthun of the Lord schal no more be remembrid, and the word of ech man schal be birthun to hym; and ye han peruertid the wordis of lyuynge God, of the Lord of oostis, youre God.
Y no volverás a recordar a la gente la palabra de profecía del Señor; porque la palabra de cada hombre le será por profecía sobre sí mismo; porque las palabras del Dios viviente, del Señor de los ejércitos, nuestro Dios, han sido pervertidas por ti.
37 Thou schalt seie these thingis to the profete, What answeride the Lord to thee? and what spak the Lord?
Esto es lo que debes decirle al profeta: ¿Qué respuesta te ha dado el Señor? y ¿qué ha dicho el señor?
38 Forsothe if ye seien, The birthin of the Lord, for this thing the Lord seith these thingis, For ye seiden this word, The birthun of the Lord, and Y sente to you, and Y seide, Nyle ye seie, The birthun of the Lord; therfor lo!
Pero si dices: profecía del Señor; esto es lo que el Señor ha dicho; porque dices: Profecía del Señor, y yo te he enviado, diciendo: No debes decir, profecía del Señor;
39 Y schal take you awei, and schal bere, and Y schal forsake you, and the citee which Y yaf to you, and to youre fadris, fro my face.
Por esta razón, de verdad, te sacaré completamente de mi memoria, y te pondré, y el pueblo que te di a ti y a tus padres, lejos de mi rostro:
40 And Y schal yyue you in to euerlastynge schenschipe, and in to euerlastynge sclaundir, that schal neuere be doon awei bi foryetyng.
Y te daré un nombre sin honor para siempre, y vergüenza incesante que nunca saldrá de la memoria de los hombres.
