Jeremiah 18
1 The word that was maad of the Lord to Jeremye,

2 and seide, Rise thou, and go doun in to the hous of a pottere, and there thou schalt here my wordis.

3 And Y yede doun in to the hous of a pottere, and lo! he made a werk on a wheel.
Alaila, iho aku la au ilalo i ka hale o ka potera, a aia hoi, e hana ana oia i ka hana maluna o na kaa.
4 And the vessel was distried, which he made of clei with hise hondis; and he turnede it, and made it another vessel, as it pleside in hise iyen to make.
A o ka ipu ana i hana'i no ka lepo, ino iho la no ia iloko o ka lima o ka potera. Alaila, hana hou iho la no oia i ipu e, e like me ka makemake o ka potera e hana.
5 And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
Alaila, hiki mai la ka olelo o Iehova ia'u, i mai la,
6 and he seide, Whether as this pottere doith, Y mai not do to you, the hous of Israel? seith the Lord. Lo! as cley is in the hond of a pottere, so ye, the hous of Israel, ben in myn hond.
E ko ka hale o ka Iseraela, aole anei e hiki ia'u ke hana e like me keia potera, wahi a Iehova? Aia hoi, e like me ka lepo iloko o ka lima o ka potera, pela no oukou iloko o ko'u lima, e ko ka hale o ka Iseraela.
7 Sudenli Y schal speke ayens a folk, and ayens a rewme, that Y drawe out, and distrie, and leese it.
I ka wa a'u e olelo ai no kekahi lahuikanaka, a no kekahi aupuni, e uhuki, e wawahi, a e luku iho;
8 If thilke folk doith penaunce of his yuel, which Y spak ayens it, also Y schal do penaunce on the yuel, which Y thouyte to do to it.
O kela lahuikanaka a'u i hoohewa aku ai, ina i huli lakou, mai ko lakou hewa mai, alaila, e mihi no wau i ka hewa a'u i manao ai e hana ia lakou.
9 And Y schal speke sudenli of a folk, and of a rewme, that Y bilde, and plaunte it.
A i ka wa a'u e olelo ai no kekahi lahuikanaka, a no kekahi aupuni, e kukulu, a e hookupaa;
10 If it doith yuel bifore myn iyen, that it here not my vois, Y schal do penaunce on the good which Y spak, that Y schulde do to it.
Ina e hana hewa ia imua o ko'u alo, a hoolohe ole i ko'u leo, alaila, e mihi no wau i ka maikai a'u i olelo ai e hoopomaikai aku ia lakou.
11 Now therfor seie thou to a man of Juda, and to the dwellere of Jerusalem, and seie, The Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y make yuel ayens you, and Y thenke a thouyte ayens you; ech man turne ayen fro his yuel weie, and dresse ye youre weies and youre studies.
Ano la hoi, e olelo aku oe i kanaka o ka Iuda, a i ka poe e noho la ma Ierusalema, e i aku, Ke olelo mai nei o Iehova penei, Aia hoi, ke hana nei au i ka hewa ia oukou; ke noonoo nei hoi i manao ku e ia oukou. E hoi mai oukou, ano la, o kela mea, o keia mea, mai kona aoao hewa mai, a e hoomaikai i ko oukou aoao a me ka oukou hana ana.
12 Whiche seiden, We han dispeirid, for we schulen go after oure thouytis, and we schulen do ech man the schrewidnesse of his yuel herte.

13 Therfor the Lord seith these thingis, Axe ye hethene men, who herde siche orible thingis, whiche the virgyn of Israel hath do greetli?
Nolaila, ko olelo mai nei o Iehova penei, E ninau oukou iwaena o ko na aina e, Owai ka mea i lohe i na mea e like me ia? Ua hana no ka wahine puupaa o ka Iseraela i ka mea hoopailua loa.
14 Whether snow of the Liban schal fail fro the stoon of the feeld? ether coolde watris brekynge out, and fletynge doun moun be takun awei?
E haalele anei ka hau ia Lebanona no na pohaku o ke kula, e kiolaia anei na wai huihui e kahe ana mai kahi e mai?
15 For my puple hath foryete me, and offriden sacrifices in veyn, and snaperiden in her weies, and in the pathis of the world, that thei yeden bi tho in a weie not trodun;
No ka mea, ua hoopoina ko'u poe kanaka ia'u; ua kuni lakou i ka mea ala no ka lapuwale, a ua hoohina ia lakou ma ko lakou kuamoo, na kuamoo kahiko, e hele ma na kuamoo e, ma ke kuamoo i hoouka ole ia:
16 that the lond of hem schulde be in to desolacioun, and in to an hissyng euerlastinge; for whi ech that passith bi it, schal be astonyed, and schal moue his heed.
I lilo ko lakou aina i neoneo, i mea hoowahawaha mau loa ia. E kahaha auauei na mea a pau e hele ae malaila, a e kunokunou i kona poo.
17 As a brennynge wynd Y schal scatere hem bifor the enemy; Y schal schewe to hem the bak and not the face, in the dai of the perdicioun of hem.
E hoopuehu aku au ia lakou imua o ka enemi, me ka makani mai ka hikina mai; e hoike aku au ia lakou i ke kua, aole i ka maka, i ka la o ko lakou popilikia.
18 And thei seiden, Come ye, and thenke we thouytis ayens Jeremye; for whi the lawe schal not perische fro a preest, nether councel schal perische fro a wijs man, nether word schal perische fro a profete; come ye, and smyte we hym with tunge, and take we noon heede to alle the wordis of hym.
Alaila, olelo mai la lakou, E hele mai, e imi hala kakou no Ieremia, no ka mea, aole e haule ke kanawai i ke kahuna, aole hoi ka manao akamai i ka poe akamai, a me ka olelo hoi i ke kaula. E hele mai, e hahau kakou ia ia i ke alelo; mai hoolohe kakou i kekahi o kana mau olelo.
19 Lord, yyue thou tent to me, and here thou the vois of myn aduersaries.
E haliu mai oe ia'u, e Iehova, a e hoolohe i ka leo o ka poe hakaka me au.
20 Whether yuel is yoldun for good, for thei han diggid a pit to my soule; haue thou mynde, that Y stoode in thi siyt, to speke good for hem, and to turne awei thin indignacioun fro hem.
E hoihoi ia anei ka hewa no ka maikai? No ka mea, ua kohi lakou i lua no ko'u ola. E hoomanao oe i ko'u ku ana imua ou, e olelo i ka maikai no lakou, e hoohuli aku i kou inaina mai o lakou aku.
21 Therfor yyue thou the sones of hem in to hungur, and lede forth hem in to the hondis of swerd; the wyues of hem be maad with out children, and be maad widewis, and the hosebondis of hem be slayn bi deth; the yonge men of hem be persid togidere bi swerd in batel.
Nolaila, e haawi aku oe i ka lakou keiki no ka wi, a e haawi ia lakou e make i ka ikaika o ka pahikaua. E hooneleia hoi ka lakou wahine i ka lakou keiki, a lilo lakou i wahinekanemake; e haawi hoi i ko lakou poe kanaka i ka make, a me ko lakou kanaka opiopio no ka lukuia i ka pahikaua, ma ka hoouka kaua ana.
22 Cry be herd of the housis of hem, for thou schalt bringe sudenli a theef on hem; for thei diggiden a pit to take me, and hidden snaris to my feet.
E loheia ka hea ana, mai ko lakou hale mai, i ka wa au e hoopuka mai ai i poe kaua maluna o lakou me ka hoohikilele; no ka mea, ua kohi lakou i lua, e hoopaa ia'u, a ua huna lakou i pahele no kuu mau wawae.
23 But thou, Lord, knowist al the councel of hem ayens me in to deth; do thou not merci to the wickidnesse of hem, and the synne of hem be not doon awei fro thi face; be thei maad fallynge doun in thi siyt, in the tyme of thi stronge veniaunce; vse thou hem to othir thing than thei weren ordeyned.
Aka, ua ike no oe, e Iehova, i ko lakou manao a pau ia'u, e pepehi mai ia'u. Mai kala oe i ko lakou hala, aole hoi e holoi i ko lakou hewa, mai kou alo aku; aka, e hoohiolo ia lakou imua ou. E hana oe pela ia lakou, i ka manawa o kou inaina.
