Jeremiah 14
1 The word of the Lord, that was maad to Jeremye, of the wordis of dryenesse.
Vorto de la Eternulo, kiu aperis al Jeremia koncerne la senpluvecon.
2 Jude weilide, and the yatis therof fellen doun, and ben maad derk in erthe, and the cry of Jerusalem stiede.
Judujo funebras, ĝiaj pordegoj malĝoje nigriĝis, klinite al la tero, kaj plora kriado leviĝas el Jerusalem.
3 Grettere men senten her lesse men to water; thei camen to drawe watir, and thei foundun no water, thei brouyten ayen her vessels voide; thei weren schent and turmentid,
Ĝiaj potenculoj sendas siajn subulojn, por alporti akvon; ĉi tiuj venas al la putoj, sed ne trovas akvon; ili alportas returne siajn vazojn malplenajn, ili hontas, konsterniĝas, kaj kovras sian kapon.
4 and thei hiliden her heedis for distriyng of the lond, for reyn cam not in the lond. Erthe tilieris weren schent, thei hiliden her heedis.
Ĉar la tero dezertiĝis pro tio, ke ne estis pluvo, tial konsterniĝis la terkultivistoj kaj kovris sian kapon.
5 For whi and an hynde caluyde in the feeld, and lefte her calues, for noon eerbe was;
Eĉ cervino, naskinta sur la kampo, forlasas sian idon, ĉar ne ekzistas verdaĵo.
6 and wield assis stoden in rochis, and drowen wynde as dragouns; her iyen failiden, for noon eerbe was.
Sovaĝaj azenoj staras sur montetoj, glutas aeron kiel ŝakaloj; senbriliĝis iliaj okuloj, ĉar ne ekzistas herbo.
7 If oure wickidnessis answeren to vs, Lord, do thou for thi name, for oure turnyngis awei ben manye; we han synned ayens thee.
Se niaj malbonagoj akuzas nin, ho Eternulo, tiam agu pro Via nomo; ĉar granda estas nia perfido, ni pekis antaŭ Vi.
8 Thou abidyng of Israel, the sauyour therof in the tyme of tribulacioun,
Ho espero de Izrael kaj lia savanto en tempo de malfeliĉo! kial Vi estas kiel fremdulo en la lando, kiel pasanto, kiu eniris nur por tradormi la nokton?
9 whi schalt thou be as a comelyng in the lond, and as a weigoere bowynge to dwelle? whi schalt thou be as a man of vnstable dwellyng, as a strong man that mai not saue? Forsothe, Lord, thou art in vs, and thin hooli name is clepid to help on vs; forsake thou not vs.
Kial Vi estas kiel homo konfuzita, kiel fortulo, kiu ne povas helpi? Vi estas ja meze de ni, ho Eternulo, kaj ni portas sur ni Vian nomon; ne forlasu nin.
10 The Lord seith these thingis to this puple, that louede to stire hise feet, and restide not, and pleside not the Lord; now he schal haue mynde on the wickidnesses of hem, and he schal visite the synnes of hem.
Tiele diras la Eternulo pri ĉi tiu popolo: Ili amas vagi, ili ne retenas siajn piedojn; tial la Eternulo ne estas favora al ili, nun Li memoras iliajn malbonagojn kaj punas iliajn pekojn.
11 And the Lord seide to me, Nyle thou preie for this puple in to good.
Kaj la Eternulo diris al mi: Ne preĝu por ĉi tiu popolo, por ĝia bono.
12 Whanne thei schulen faste, Y schal not here the preieris of hem; and if thei offren brent sacrifices and slayn sacrifices, Y schal not resseyue tho, for Y schal waste hem bi swerd and hungur and pestilence.
Se ili fastos, Mi ne aŭskultos ilian preĝon, kaj se ili alportos bruloferojn kaj farunoferojn, Mi ne estos favora al ili; sed Mi ekstermos ilin per glavo, per malsato, kaj per pesto.
13 And Y seide, A! A! A! Lord God, profetis seien to hem, Ye schulen not se swerd, and hungur schal not be in you, but he schal yyue to you veri pees in this place.
Tiam mi diris: Ho Sinjoro, ho Eternulo! jen la profetoj diras al ili: Vi ne vidos glavon, kaj malsato ne estos ĉe vi, ĉar veran pacon Mi donos al vi sur ĉi tiu loko.
14 And the Lord seide to me, The profetis profesien falsli in my name; Y sente not hem, and Y comaundide not to hem, nether Y spak to hem; thei profesien to you a fals reuelacioun, and a gileful dyuynyng, and the disseyuyng of her herte.
Sed la Eternulo diris al mi: Malveraĵon profetas tiuj profetoj en Mia nomo; Mi ne sendis ilin, ne donis al ili ordonojn, kaj ne parolis al ili; ili profetas al vi viziojn mensogajn, sorĉaĵon, idolaĵon, kaj trompaĵon de sia koro.
15 Therfor the Lord seith these thingis of the profetis that profesien in my name, whiche Y sente not, and seien, Swerd and hungur schal not be in this lond; Tho profetis schulen be wastid bi swerd and hungur.
Tial tiele diras la Eternulo pri la profetoj: Ĉar ili profetas en Mia nomo, kvankam Mi ne sendis ilin, kaj ili diras, ke glavo kaj malsato ne estos en ĉi tiu lando — per glavo kaj malsato estos ekstermitaj tiuj profetoj;
16 And the puplis, to whiche thei profesieden, schulen be cast forth in the weies of Jerusalem, for hungur and swerd, and noon schal be, that schal birie hem; they and the wyues of hem, the sones and the douytris of hem `schulen be cast forth; and Y schal schede out on hem her yuel.
kaj la popolo, al kiu ili profetas, estos disĵetita sur la stratojn de Jerusalem per malsato kaj glavo, kaj neniu ilin enterigos — ili, iliaj edzinoj, iliaj filoj, kaj iliaj filinoj; kaj Mi elverŝos sur ilin ilian malbonecon.
17 And thou schalt seie to hem this word, Myn iyen lede doun a teer bi niyt and dai, and be not stille, for the virgyn, the douyter of my puple, is defoulid bi greet defoulying, with the worste wounde greetli.
Kaj diru al ili jenon: Miaj okuloj fluigas larmojn nokte kaj tage kaj ne ĉesas, ĉar granda malfeliĉo trafis la virgulinon, la filinon de mia popolo, frapo tre doloriga.
18 If Y go out to feeldis, lo! men ben slayn bi swerd; and if Y entre in to the citee, lo! men ben maad leene for hungur; also a profete and a prest yeden in to the lond which thei knewen not.
Kiam mi eliras sur la kampon, mi vidas homojn, mortigitajn per glavo; kiam mi eniras en la urbon, mi vidas homojn, senfortigitajn de malsato; ankaŭ la profetoj kaj pastroj formigris en landon, kiun ili ne konas.
19 Whether thou castynge awei hast cast awei Juda, ether thi soule hath wlatid Sion? whi therfor hast thou smyte vs, so that noon heelthe is? We abididen pees, and no good is; and we abididen time of heeling, and lo! disturbling is.
Ĉu Vi tute forpuŝis Jehudan? ĉu Via animo eksentis abomenon kontraŭ Cion? kial Vi frapis nin tiel, ke neniu povas nin resanigi? Ni esperis pacon, sed venis nenio bona; ni esperis tempon de resaniĝo, sed ni havas nur teruron.
20 Lord, we han know oure vnfeithfulnessis, and the wickidnessis of oure fadris, for we han synned to thee.
Ni konfesas, ho Eternulo, nian malpiecon kaj la malbonagojn de niaj patroj; ĉar ni pekis antaŭ Vi.
21 Yyue thou not vs in to schenschip, for thi name, nether do thou dispite to vs; haue thou mynde on the seete of thi glorie, make thou not voide thi boond of pees with vs.
Pro Via nomo ne malestimegu nin, ne malaltigu la tronon de Via gloro; memoru kaj ne rompu Vian interligon kun ni.
22 Whether in grauun ymagis of hethene men ben thei that reynen, ethir heuenes moun yyue reynes? whether thou art not oure Lord God, whom we abididen? For thou madist alle these thingis.
Ĉu inter la idoloj de la nacioj ekzistas tiaj, kiuj povas doni pluvon? ĉu la ĉielo per si mem donas pluvegon? Vi estas ja la Eternulo, nia Dio, kaj ni esperas al Vi, ĉar Vi faras ĉion ĉi tion.
