Jeremiah 13
1 The Lord seith these thingis to me, Go, and take in possessioun to thee a lynnun breigirdil; and thou schalt putte it on thi leendis, and thou schalt not bere it in to watir.
੧ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਕਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਕਮਰ ਕੱਸਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੱਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾ ਲੈ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਭੇਵੀਂ
2 And Y took in possessioun a breigirdil, bi the word of the Lord; and Y puttide aboute my leendis.
੨ਸੋ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਕਮਰ ਕੱਸਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੱਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ
3 And the word of the Lord was maad to me in the secounde tyme,
੩ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ
4 and seide, Take the brigirdil, which thou haddist in possessioun, which is aboute thi leendis; and rise thou, and go to Eufrates, and hide thou it there, in the hoole of a stoon.
੪ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਮਰ ਕੱਸਾ ਤੂੰ ਮੁੱਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਲੱਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ, ਉੱਠ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਦੀ ਤੇੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁਕਾ ਦੇ
5 And Y yede, and hidde it in Eufrates, as the Lord comaundide to me.
੫ਸੋ ਮੈਂ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਫ਼ਰਾਤ ਕੋਲ ਲੁਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ
6 And it was don aftir ful many daies, the Lord seide to me, Rise thou, and go to Eufrates, and take fro thennus the brigirdil, whiche Y comaundide to thee, that thou schuldist hide it there.
੬ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਫ਼ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਕਮਰ ਕੱਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਲੈ ਲੈ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਲੁਕਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ
7 And Y yede to Eufrates, and diggide out, and Y took the breigirdil fro the place, where Y hadde hidde it; and lo! the breigirdil was rotun, so that it was not able to ony vss.
੭ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪੁੱਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਕਮਰ ਕੱਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਥਾਓਂ ਲਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਵਿਗੜ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
8 And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
੮ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ
9 and seide, The Lord seith these thingis, So Y schal make rotun the pride of Juda, and the myche pride of Jerusalem,
੯ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਐਉਂ ਹੀ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ
10 and this worste puple, that nylen here my wordis, and goen in the schrewidnesse of her herte; and thei yeden aftir alien goddis, to serue hem, and to worschipe hem; and thei schulen be as this breigirdil, which is not able to ony vss.
੧੦ਇਹ ਬੁਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੱਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਆਕੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲਦੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਇਸ ਕਮਰ ਕੱਸੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ
11 For as a breigirdil cleueth to the leendis of a man, so Y ioynede faste to me al the hous of Israel, and al the hous of Juda, seith the Lord, that thei schulden be to me in to a puple, and in to name, and in to heriyng, and in to glorie; and thei herden not.
੧੧ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਮਰ ਕੱਸਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਲੱਕ ਨਾਲ ਬੱਝਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਝੇ ਰਹਿਣ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਭਈ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਪਰਜਾ, ਨਾਮ, ਉਸਤਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਹੱਪਣ ਹੋਣ ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ।
12 Therfor thou schalt seie to hem this word, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Ech potel schal be fillid of wyn. And thei schulen seie to thee, Whether we witen not, that ech potel schal be fillid of wyn?
੧੨ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਆਖ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਭਈ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਟਕੇ ਮਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ਕੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਟਕੇ ਮਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ?
13 And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y shal fille with drunkenesse alle the dwelleris of this lond, and the kyngis of the generacioun of Dauith, that sitten on his trone, and the prestis, and profetis, and alle the dwelleris of Jerusalem.
੧੩ਤਦ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, - ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਬਾ ਕੇ ਭਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ
14 And Y schal scatere hem, a man fro his brother, and the fadris and sones togidere, seith the Lord; Y schal not spare, and Y schal not graunte, nether Y schal do mercy, that I leese not hem.
੧੪ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਟਕਰਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਨਾਲ, ਪਿਉ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਾਲ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਮੈਂ ਤਰਸ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਨਾ ਪੱਖ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਨਾ ਰਹਮ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਭਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਦੇ।
15 Here ye, and perseyue with eeris; nyle ye be reisid, for the Lord spak.
੧੫ਸੁਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਨ ਲਾਓ, ਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
16 Yyue ye glorie to youre Lord God, bifore that it wexe derk, and bifor that youre feet hirte at derk hillis; ye schulen abide liyt, and he schal sette it in to the schadewe of deeth, and in to derknesse.
੧੬ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦਿਓ, ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਲਿਆਵੇ, ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਭਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੇਡਾ ਲੱਗੇ, ਘੁਸਮੁਸੇ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ, ਜਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਾਨਣ ਨੂੰ ਉਡੀਕਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਲ ਦੇਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਸਾਯਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ।
17 That if ye heren not this, my soule schal wepe in hid place for the face of pride; it wepynge schal wepe, and myn iye shal caste out a teer, for the floc of the Lord is takun.
੧੭ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੋਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਣ ਪੜਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੋਵੇਗੀ, ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਫੁੱਟ-ਫੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਰੋਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਥਰੂ ਵਗਾਉਣਗੀਆਂ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਇੱਜੜ ਫੜਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
18 Seye thou to the kyng, and to the ladi, Be ye mekid, sitte ye, for the coroun of youre glorie schal go doun fro youre heed.
੧੮ਰਾਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ, ਹੇਠਾਂ ਬੈਠੋ! ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਮੁਕਟ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।
19 The cities of the south ben closid, and noon is that openith; al Juda is translatid bi perfit passyng ouere, ether goynge out of her lond.
੧੯ਦੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
20 Reise ye youre iyen, and se ye, what men comen fro the north; where is the floc which is youun to thee, thi noble scheep?
੨੦ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਚੁੱਕ, ਤੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ! ਉਹ ਇੱਜੜ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ? ਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਇੱਜੜ?
21 What schalt thou seie, whanne he schal visite thee? for thou hast tauyt hem ayens thee, and thou hast tauyt ayens thin heed. Whether sorewis han not take thee, as a womman trauelynge of child?
੨੧ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਆਖੇਗੀ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠਹਿਰਾਵੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਸਿਖਾਇਆ, ਭਈ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਯਾਰ ਹੋਣ? ਕੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੀੜਾਂ ਨਾ ਲੱਗਣਗੀਆਂ? ਜਿਵੇਂ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਣਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੱਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ?
22 That if thou seist in thin herte, Whi camen these thingis to me? for the multitude of thi wickidnesse thi schamefulere thingis ben schewid, thi feet ben defoulid.
੨੨ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖੇ, ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਆਈਆਂ? ਇਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਵਾਫ਼ਰ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਲਹਿੰਗਾ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਡੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ
23 If a man of Ethiopie mai chaunge his skyn, ether a pard mai chaunge hise dyuersitees, and ye moun do wel, whanne ye han lerned yuel.
੨੩ਭਲਾ, ਕੂਸ਼ੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੱਲ ਨੂੰ, ਜਾਂ ਚੀਤਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਭਲਿਆਈ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ!
24 And Y schal sowe hem abrood, as stobil which is rauyschid of the wynd in desert.
੨੪ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਹ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੀ ਹਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਉੱਡਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
25 This is thi lot, and the part of thi mesure of me, seith the Lord; for thou foryetidist me, and tristidist in a leesyng.
੨੫ਇਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਗੁਣਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਿਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਭਾਗ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਝੂਠ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
26 Wherfor and Y made nakid thin hipis ayens thi face, and thi schenschipe apperide,
੨੬ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਲਹਿੰਗਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੁੱਕ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਸੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਵੇਖੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
27 thin auowtries, and thin neyyng, and the felonye of thi fornycacioun on litle hillis in the feeld; Y siy thin abhomynaciouns. Jerusalem, wo to thee, thou schalt not be clensid after me til yit.
੨੭ਤੇਰਾ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ, ਤੇਰਾ ਹਿਣਕਣਾ, ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁੰਡੇ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ, ਪੈਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਟਿੱਬਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਇਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖੇ। ਹੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ, ਹਾਏ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ! ਤੂੰ ਪਾਕ ਸਾਫ਼ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ! ਕਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਾਂ ਅਜੇ ਹੋਰ ਹੈ?
