< James 4 >
1 Wherof ben batelis and cheestis among you? Whether not of youre coueitisis, that fiyten in youre membris?
Gịnị bụ ihe na-ebute ọgụ na esemokwu nʼetiti unu. Ebee ka ha siri bịa? Ọ bụghị ọchịchọ ọjọọ unu nwere nʼime onwe unu?
2 Ye coueiten, and ye han not; ye sleen, and ye han enuye, and ye moun not gete. Ye chiden, and maken batel; and ye han not, for ye axen not.
3 Ye axen, and ye resseyuen not; for that ye axen yuele, as ye schewen opynli in youre coueitisis.
Unu na-arịọ ma unu adịghị anata, nʼihi na unu na-arịọ nʼebumnobi ọjọọ. Unu na-arịọ ka unu mefuo ya nʼihe ụtọ nke ụwa.
4 Auowtreris, witen not ye, that the frenschip of this world is enemye to God? Therfor who euere wole be frend of this world, is maad the enemye of God.
Ndị na-ekwesighị ntụkwasị obi! Ọ bụ na unu amaghị na unu na ụwa bụrụ enyi, unu ga-esi otu a bụrụ ndị iro Chineke? Onye ọbụla nke chọrọ ịbụ enyi nke ụwa, na-eme onwe ya onye iro nke Chineke.
5 Whether ye gessen, that the scripture seith veynli, The spirit that dwellith in you, coueitith to enuye?
Unu chere na ihe e dere nʼakwụkwọ nsọ na-ekwu nʼefu mgbe ọ na-asị, “Chineke na-ekwosi ekworo ike nʼihi Mmụọ Nsọ ya nke o mere ka o biri nʼime anyị.”
6 But he yyueth the more grace; for which thing he seith, God withstondith proude men, but to meke men he yyueth grace.
Ma ọ na-enye anyị amara karịa. Ya mere, Akwụkwọ nsọ ji sị, “Chineke na-eguzo imegide ndị na-ebuli onwe ha elu, ma ọ na-enye ndị dị umeala nʼobi amara.”
7 Therfor be ye suget to God; but withstonde ye the deuel, and he schal fle fro you.
Ya mere, nyenụ Chineke onwe unu. Guzonụ megide ekwensu, ọ ga-esi nʼebe unu nọ gbapụ.
8 Neiye ye to God, and he schal neiye to you. Ye synneris, clense ye hondis, and ye double in soule, purge ye the hertis.
Bịakwutenụ Chineke nso, ya onwe ya ga-abịakwutekwa unu nso. Kwọọnụ aka unu, unu ndị mmehie, meekwanụ ka obi unu dị ọcha, unu ndị obi abụọ.
9 Be ye wretchis, and weile ye; youre leiyyng be turned in to weping, and ioye in to sorewe of herte.
Ruonụ ụjụ, tienụ aka nʼobi nʼọnọdụ mwute, kwaakwanụ akwa. Ka ọchị unu ghọọ ihu mgbarụ, ka iru ụjụ werekwa ọnọdụ ịṅụrị ọṅụ.
10 Be ye mekid in the siyt of the Lord, and he schal enhaunse you.
Wedanụ onwe unu ala nʼihu Onyenwe anyị ọ ga-ebulikwa unu elu.
11 My britheren, nyle ye bacbite ech othere. He that bacbitith his brothir, ethir that demeth his brothir, bacbitith the lawe, and demeth the lawe. And if thou demest the lawe, thou art not a doere of the lawe, but a domesman.
12 But oon is makere of the lawe, and iuge, that may lese, and delyuere.
Ọ bụ naanị otu onye o nye iwu. Ọ bụkwa naanị otu onye ikpe dị. Ọ bụ naanị ya nwere ike ịzọpụta mmadụ. O nwekwara ike ịla onye ọbụla nʼiyi. Ma gị, onye ka ị na-eche na ị bụ iji na-ekpe nwanna gị ikpe?
13 And who art thou, that demest thi neiybore? Lo! now ye, that seien, To dai ethir to morewe we schulen go in to thilke citee, and there we schulen dwelle a yeer, and we schulen make marchaundise, and we schulen make wynning;
Ugbu a geenụ ntị unu bụ ndị na-asị, “Taa maọbụ echi, anyị ga-aga ebe dị otu a, maọbụ obodo dị otu a, ịzụ ahịa na ire ahịa, anyị ga-anọkwa ebe ahụ otu afọ kpaa ego.”
14 whiche witen not, what is to you in the morewe.
Olee otu unu si mara ihe ga-eme echi? Gịnị ka unu na-eche na ndụ unu bụ? Mmadụ dị ka anwụrụ ọkụ nke a na-ahụ anya nwa oge nta, nke ikuku na-emesịa bufuo.
15 For what is youre lijf? A smoke apperinge at a litil, and aftirward it schal be wastid. Therfor that ye seie, If the Lord wole, and if we liuen, we schulen do this thing, ether that thing.
Kama ihe unu ga-ekwu bụ nke a, “Ọ bụrụ na Onyenwe anyị ekwe, anyị ga-adị ndụ, mee nke a maọbụ nke ọzọ.”
16 And now ye maken ful out ioye in youre pridis; euery siche ioye is wickyd.
Ma ihe unu na-eme bụ ịnya isi na ịkpa nganga. Ụdị ịnya isi a bụ ihe ọjọọ.
17 Therfor it is synne to hym, that kan do good, and doith not.
Ya mere, mmadụ ọbụla maara ihe bụ ezi ihe ma jụ ime ya na-emehie.
