Isaiah 62
1 For Sion Y schal not be stille, and for Jerusalem Y schal not reste, til the iust man therof go out as schynyng, and the sauyour therof be teendid as a laumpe.
Pour l’amour de Sion, je ne garderai pas le silence, pour Jérusalem je n’aurai point de repos, que son salut n’ait éclaté comme un jet de lumière, et sa victoire comme une torche allumée.
2 And hethene men schulen se thi iust man, and alle kyngis schulen se thi noble man; and a newe name, which the mouth of the Lord nemyde, schal be clepid to thee.
Alors les peuples seront témoins de ton triomphe et tous les rois de ta gloire, et on t’appellera d’un nom nouveau, qu’aura désigné la bouche de l’Eternel.
3 And thou schalt be a coroun of glorie in the hond of the Lord, and a diademe of the rewme in the hond of thi God.
Et tu seras une couronne glorieuse aux mains de l’Eternel, et un diadème royal dans la paume de ton Dieu.
4 Thou schalt no more be clepid forsakun, and thi lond schal no more be clepid desolat; but thou schalt be clepid My wille in that, and thi lond schal be enhabitid; for it plesid the Lord in thee, and thi lond schal be enhabited.
Tu ne seras plus nommée la Délaissée et ta terre ne s’appellera plus Solitude; toi, tu auras nom Celle que j’aime, et ta terre se nommera I’Epousée; parce que tu seras la bien-aimée de l’Eternel, et parce que ta terre connaîtra les épousailles.
5 For a yong man schal dwelle with a virgyn, and thi sones schulen dwelle in thee; and the spouse schal haue ioie on the spousesse, and thi God schal haue ioie on thee.
Oui, comme le jeune homme s’unit à la vierge, tes enfants te seront unis; et comme le fiancé se réjouit de sa fiancée, ton Dieu se réjouira de toi.
6 Jerusalem, Y haue ordeyned keperis on thi wallis, al dai and al niyt with outen ende thei schulen not be stille. Ye that thenken on the Lord, be not stille,
Sur tes remparts, ô Jérusalem, j’ai posté des guetteurs, qui ne se tairont ni le jour ni la nuit, en aucun temps: "O vous qui faites appel au souvenir de l’Eternel, ne prenez aucun répit!
7 and yyue ye not silence to him, til he stablische, and til he sette Jerusalem `preisyng in erthe.
Et à lui non plus ne laissez point de trêve, qu’il n’ait rétabli Jérusalem et n’en ait fait un sujet de gloire dans le monde."
8 The Lord swoor in his riyt hond and in the arm of his strengthe, Y schal no more yyue thi wheete mete to thin enemyes, and alien sones schulen not drynke thi wyn, in which thou hast trauelid.
L’Eternel l’a juré par sa droite et son bras puissant: "Jamais plus je ne livrerai ton blé en pâture à tes ennemis; jamais plus les fils de l’étranger ne boiront ton vin, fruit de ton labeur.
9 For thei that schulen gadere it togidere, schulen ete it, and schulen herie the Lord; and thei that beren it togidere, schulen drynke in myn hooli hallis.
Ceux qui l’auront récolté le mangeront et célébreront l’Eternel: ceux qui l’auront recueilli le boiront dans les parvis de mon sanctuaire."
10 Passe ye, passe ye bi the yatis; make ye redi weie to the puple, make ye a playn path; and chese ye stoonys, and reise ye a signe to puplis.
Passez, passez par les portes, faites déblayer la route du peuple; nivelez, nivelez la chaussée, enlevez-en les pierres, levez l’étendard pour les nations.
11 Lo! the Lord made herd in the laste partis of the erthe. Seie ye to the douytir of Sion, Lo! thi sauyour cometh; lo! his meede is with hym, and his werk is bifore hym.
Voilà que l’Eternel fait entendre son appel jusqu’aux confins de la terre: "Dites à la fille de Sion: Voici ton salut qui vient! Voici Dieu qui arrive, escorté de son salaire, devancé par sa rémunération!"
12 And thei schulen clepe hem the hooli puple, ayenbouyt of the Lord. Forsothe thou schalt be clepid a citee souyt, and not forsakun.
Et on les appellera le peuple saint, les affranchis de l’Eternel; et toi Jérusalem, tu auras nom la Recherchée, la Ville non délaissée.
