3 The hous of Jacob, and al the residue of the hous of Israel, here ye me, whiche ben borun of my wombe, whiche ben borun of my wombe.
Écoutez-moi, maison de Jacob, et vous tous, restes d'Israël, vous que je porte depuis que vous êtes sortis des entrailles de votre mère, vous que j'instruis depuis votre enfance
4 Til to eelde Y my silf, and til to hoor heeris Y schal bere; Y made, and Y schal bere, and Y schal saue.
Jusqu'à la vieillesse. Je suis, et jusqu'à ce que vous soyez parvenus à l'extrême vieillesse, je suis; je vous porte, c'est moi qui vous ai créés, c'est moi qui vous soutiendrai; je vous porterai et je vous sauverai.
5 To whom han ye licned me, and maad euene, and han comparisound me, and han maad lijk?
A qui me comparerez-vous? Voyez, imaginez, vous qui vivez dans l'erreur;
6 Whiche beren togidere gold fro the bagge, and peisen siluer with a balaunce, and hiren a goldsmyth to make a god, and thei fallen doun, and worschipen; thei berynge beren in schuldris,
Vous qui accumulez de l'or dans un sac et de l'argent dans une balance; et ils en ont pesé une part, ils ont payé un fondeur, puis ils feront une idole, et, s'étant prosternés, ils l'adoreront;
7 and settynge in his place; and he schal stonde, and schal not be mouyd fro his place; but also whanne thei crien to hym, he schal not here, and he schal not saue hem fro tribulacioun.
Ils la porteront sur leurs épaules, et se mettront en marche; et s'ils la placent en son lieu, elle y demeurera et ne pourra en bouger. Et celui qui l'invoquera, elle ne pourra l'entendre ni le préserver du mal.
8 Haue ye mynde of this, and be ye aschamed; ye trespassouris, go ayen to the herte.
Rappelez-vous ces choses, et gémissez; repentez-vous, ô vous qui êtes égarés; convertissez-vous en vos cœurs;
9 Bithenke ye on the formere world, for Y am God, and no God is ouer me, nether is lijk me.
Et souvenez-vous des premiers âges, des âges d'autrefois; souvenez-vous que je suis Dieu, et qu'il n'en est point, hormis moi;
10 And Y telle fro the bigynnyng the laste thing, and fro the bigynnyng tho thingis that ben not maad yit; and Y seie, My councel schal stonde, and al my wille schal be don.
Moi qui annonce les choses de la fin avant qu'elles soient, et déjà elles sont accomplies. Et j'ai dit: Tous mes conseils seront stables, et tout ce que j'ai résolu, je le ferai.
11 And Y clepe a brid fro the eest, and the man of my wille fro a ferr lond; and Y spak, and Y schal brynge that thing; Y haue maad of nouyt, and Y schal make that thing.
J'ai appelé un prince ailé de l'Orient, et d'une contrée lointaine, pour accomplir les choses que j'ai résolues; je lui ai parlé, je l'ai amené, je l'ai créé et formé, je l'ai conduit, et je l'ai mis dans la bonne voie.
12 Ye of hard herte, here me, that ben fer fro riytfulnesse.
Écoutez-moi, vous dont le cœur est perverti, vous qui vous êtes éloignés de la justice.
13 Y made nyy myn riytfulnesse, it schal not be drawun afer, and myn helthe shal not tarie; Y schal yyue helthe in Sion, and my glorie in Israel.
Ma justice est proche, et le salut qui viendra de moi ne sera pas différé. J'ai donné dans Sion le salut à Israël pour ma glorification.
