Isaiah 45
1 The Lord seith these thingis to my crist, Cirus, whos riythond Y took, that Y make suget folkis bifor his face, and turne the backis of kyngis; and Y schal opene yatis bifore hym, and yatis schulen not be closid.
Dice il Signore del suo eletto, di Ciro: «Io l'ho preso per la destra, per abbattere davanti a lui le nazioni, per sciogliere le cinture ai fianchi dei re, per aprire davanti a lui i battenti delle porte e nessun portone rimarrà chiuso.
2 Y schal go bifore thee, and Y schal make lowe the gloriouse men of erthe; Y schal al to-breke brasun yatis, and Y schal breke togidere irun barris.
Io marcerò davanti a te; spianerò le asperità del terreno, spezzerò le porte di bronzo, romperò le spranghe di ferro.
3 And Y schal yyue hid tresours to thee, and the priuy thingis of priuytees, that thou wite, that Y am the Lord, that clepe thi name, God of Israel,
Ti consegnerò tesori nascosti e le ricchezze ben celate, perché tu sappia che io sono il Signore, Dio di Israele, che ti chiamo per nome.
4 for my seruaunt Jacob, and Israel my chosun, and Y clepide thee bi thi name; Y licnyde thee, and thou knewist not me.
Per amore di Giacobbe mio servo e di Israele mio eletto io ti ho chiamato per nome, ti ho dato un titolo sebbene tu non mi conosca.
5 Y am the Lord, and ther is no more; with out me is no God. Y haue gird thee, and thou knewist not me.
Io sono il Signore e non v'è alcun altro; fuori di me non c'è dio; ti renderò spedito nell'agire, anche se tu non mi conosci,
6 That thei that ben at the risyng of the sunne, and thei that ben at the west, know, that with out me is no God.
perché sappiano dall'oriente fino all'occidente che non esiste dio fuori di me. Io sono il Signore e non v'è alcun altro.
7 Y am the Lord, and noon other God is; fourmynge liyt, and makynge derknessis, makynge pees, and fourmynge yuel; Y am the Lord, doynge alle these thingis.
Io formo la luce e creo le tenebre, faccio il bene e provoco la sciagura; io, il Signore, compio tutto questo.
8 Heuenes, sende ye out deew fro aboue, and cloudis, reyne a iust man; the erthe be openyde, and brynge forth the sauyour, and riytfulnesse be borun togidere; Y the Lord haue maad hym of nouyt.
Stillate, cieli, dall'alto e le nubi facciano piovere la giustizia; si apra la terra e produca la salvezza e germogli insieme la giustizia. Io, il Signore, ho creato tutto questo».
9 Wo to hym that ayen seith his maker, a tiel stoon of erthe of Sannys. Whether clei seith to his pottere, What makist thou, and thi werk is withouten hondis?
Potrà forse discutere con chi lo ha plasmato un vaso fra altri vasi di argilla? Dirà forse la creta al vasaio: «Che fai?» oppure: «La tua opera non ha manichi»?
10 Wo to hym that seith to the fadir, What gendrist thou? and to a womman, What childist thou?
Chi oserà dire a un padre: «Che cosa generi?» o a una donna: «Che cosa partorisci?».
11 The Lord, the hooli of Israel, the fourmere therof, seith these thingis, Axe ye me thingis to comynge on my sones, and sende ye to me on the werkis of myn hondis.
Dice il Signore, il Santo di Israele, che lo ha plasmato: «Volete interrogarmi sul futuro dei miei figli e darmi ordini sul lavoro delle mie mani?
12 Y made erthe, and Y made a man on it; myn hondis helden abrood heuenes, and Y comaundide to al the knyythod of tho.
Io ho fatto la terra e su di essa ho creato l'uomo; io con le mani ho disteso i cieli e do ordini a tutte le loro schiere.
13 Y reiside hym to riytfulnesse, and Y schal dresse alle hise weies; he schal bilde my citee, and he schal delyuere my prisoneris, not in prijs, nether in yiftis, seith the Lord of oostis.
Io l'ho stimolato per la giustizia; spianerò tutte le sue vie. Egli ricostruirà la mia città e rimanderà i miei deportati, senza denaro e senza regali», dice il Signore degli eserciti.
14 The Lord God seith these thingis, The trauel of Egipt, and the marchaundie of Ethiopie, and of Sabaym; hiy men schulen go to thee, and schulen be thine; thei schulen go aftir thee, thei schulen go boundun in manyclis, and schulen worschipe thee, and schulen biseche thee. God is oneli in thee, and with out thee is no God.
Così dice il Signore: «Le ricchezze d'Egitto e le merci dell'Etiopia e i Sabei dall'alta statura passeranno a te, saranno tuoi; ti seguiranno in catene, si prostreranno davanti a te, ti diranno supplicanti: Solo in te è Dio; non ce n'è altri; non esistono altri dei.
15 Verili thou art God hid, God, the sauyour of Israel.
Veramente tu sei un Dio nascosto, Dio di Israele, salvatore.
16 Alle makeris of errours ben schent, and weren aschamed; thei yeden togidere in to confusioun.
Saranno confusi e svergognati quanti s'infuriano contro di lui; se ne andranno con ignominia i fabbricanti di idoli.
17 Israel is sauyde in the Lord, bi euerlastynge helthe; ye schulen not be schent, and ye schulen not be aschamed, til in to the world of world.
Israele sarà salvato dal Signore con salvezza perenne. Non patirete confusione o vergogna per i secoli eterni».
18 For whi the Lord makynge heuenes of nouyt, seith these thingis; he is God fourmynge erthe, and makinge it, he is the makere therof; he made it of noyt, not in veyn, but he formyde it, that it be enhabitid; Y am the Lord, and noon other is.
Poiché così dice il Signore, che ha creato i cieli; egli, il Dio che ha plasmato e fatto la terra e l'ha resa stabile e l'ha creata non come orrida regione, ma l'ha plasmata perché fosse abitata: «Io sono il Signore; non ce n'è altri.
19 Y spak not in hid place, not in a derk place of erthe; I seide not to the seed of Jacob, Seke ye me in veyn. Y am the Lord spekynge riytfulnesse, tellynge riytful thingis.
Io non ho parlato in segreto, in un luogo d'una terra tenebrosa. Non ho detto alla discendenza di Giacobbe: Cercatemi in un'orrida regione! Io sono il Signore, che parlo con giustizia, che annunzio cose rette.
20 Be ye gaderid, and come ye, and neiye ye togidere, that ben sauyd of hethene men; thei that reisen a signe of her grauyng, knewen not, and thei preien a god that saueth not.
Radunatevi e venite, avvicinatevi tutti insieme, superstiti delle nazioni! Non hanno intelligenza coloro che portano un loro legno scolpito e pregano un dio che non può salvare.
21 Telle ye, and come ye, and take ye councel togidere. Who made this herd fro the bigynnyng? fro that tyme Y bifor seide it. Whether Y am not the Lord, and no God is ferthere with out me? God riytful and sauynge is noon, outakun me.
Manifestate e portate le prove, consigliatevi pure insieme! Chi ha fatto sentire quelle cose da molto tempo e predetto ciò fin da allora? Non sono forse io, il Signore? Fuori di me non c'è altro Dio; Dio giusto e salvatore non c'è fuori di me.
22 Alle the coostis of erthe, be ye conuertid to me, and ye schulen be saaf; for Y am the Lord, and noon other is.
Volgetevi a me e sarete salvi, paesi tutti della terra, perché io sono Dio; non ce n'è altri.
23 Y swoor in my silf, a word of riytfulnesse schal go out of my mouth, and it schal not turne ayen; for ech kne schal be bowid to me, and ech tunge schal swere.
Lo giuro su me stesso, dalla mia bocca esce la verità, una parola irrevocabile: davanti a me si piegherà ogni ginocchio, per me giurerà ogni lingua».
24 Therfor thei schulen sei in the Lord, Riytfulnessis and empire ben myne; alle that fiyten ayens hym schulen come to hym, and schulen be aschamed.
Si dirà: «Solo nel Signore si trovano vittoria e potenza!». Verso di lui verranno, coperti di vergogna, quanti fremevano d'ira contro di lui.
25 Al the seed of Israel schal be iustified and preysid in the Lord.
Nel Signore saranno vittoriosi e si glorieranno tutti i discendenti di Israele.
