Isaiah 38
1 In tho daies Esechie was sijk `til to the deth; and Isaie, the profete, the sone of Amos, entride to hym, and seide to hym, The Lord seith these thingis, Dispose thi hous, for thou schalt die, and thou schalt not lyue.
En aquellos días, Ezequías estaba enfermo y cerca de la muerte. Entonces el profeta Isaías, hijo de Amoz, se acercó a él y le dijo: El Señor dice: Ordena tu casa; porque tu muerte está cerca.
2 And Esechie turnede his face to the wal, and preiede the Lord, and seide, Lord, Y biseche;
Ezequías, volviendo su rostro hacia la pared, hizo su oración al Señor, diciendo:
3 haue thou mynde, Y biseche, hou Y yede bifore thee in treuthe, and in perfit herte, and Y dide that that was good bifore thin iyen. And Ezechye wept with greet wepyng.
Oh Señor, ten en cuenta cómo te he sido fiel con todo mi corazón, y he hecho lo que es bueno ante tus ojos. Y Ezequías dio paso al amargo llanto.
4 And the word of the Lord was maad to Isaie, and seide,
Entonces vino la palabra del Señor a Isaías, diciendo:
5 Go thou, and seie to Ezechye, The Lord God of Dauid, thi fadir, seith these thingis, I haue herd thi preier, and Y siy thi teeris. Lo! Y schal adde on thi daies fiftene yeer;
Ve a Ezequías y di: El Señor, el Dios de David, tu padre, dice: Tu oración ha llegado a mis oídos, y he visto tu llanto; mira, te daré quince años más de vida.
6 and Y schal delyuere thee and this citee fro the hond of the kyng of Assiriens, and Y schal defende it.
Y te mantendré a ti y a este pueblo a salvo del rey de Asiria, y vigilaré este pueblo.
7 Forsothe this schal be to thee a signe of the Lord, that the Lord schal do this word, which he spak.
Entonces Isaías dijo: Esta es la señal que el Señor te dará, para que haga lo que ha dicho:
8 Lo! Y schal make the schadewe of lynes, bi which it yede doun in the orologie of Achas, in the sunne, to turne ayen backward bi ten lynes. And the sunne turnede ayen bi ten lynes, bi degrees bi whiche it hadde go doun.
Mira, haré la sombra que ha bajado en los escalones de Acaz con el sol, retrocede diez escalones. Así que la sombra retrocedió los diez escalones por los que había descendido.
9 The scripture of Ezechie, kyng of Juda, whanne he hadde be sijk, and hadde rekyuered of his sikenesse.
La escritura de Ezequías, rey de Judá, después de haber estado enfermo, y haber mejorado de su enfermedad.
10 I seide, in the myddil of my daies Y schal go to the yatis of helle. Y souyte the residue of my yeeris; (Sheol h7585)
Dije: En el silencio de mis días, voy a descender al inframundo; el resto de mis años se me han quitado. (Sheol h7585)
11 Y seide, Y schal not se the Lord God in the lond of lyueris; Y schal no more biholde a man, and a dwellere of reste.
Dije: No veré al Señor, ni al Señor en la tierra de los vivos; no volveré a ver al hombre ni a los que viven en el mundo.
12 My generacioun is takun awei, and is foldid togidere fro me, as the tabernacle of scheepherdis is foldid togidere. Mi lijf is kit doun as of a webbe; he kittide doun me, the while Y was wouun yit. Fro the morewtid `til to the euentid thou schalt ende me;
Mi morada, mi lugar de descanso y se me quita como la tienda de un pastor; enrollé mi vida como el tejedor; del telar. Él me cortó; del día a la noche acabas conmigo.
13 Y hopide til to the morewtid; as a lioun, so he al to-brak alle my boonys. Fro the morewtid til to the euentid thou schalt ende me; as the brid of a swalewe, so Y schal crie;
Estoy llorando de dolor hasta la mañana; Es como si un león estuviera aplastando todos mis huesos.
14 Y schal bithenke as a culuer. Myn iyen biholdynge an hiy, ben maad feble. Lord, Y suffre violence, answere thou for me; what schal Y seie,
Hago gemidos como un pájaro; gimo de pena como una paloma; mis ojos miran hacia arriba con deseo; Oh Señor, estoy destrozado, se tú mi ayudador.
15 ether what schal answere to me, whanne `I mysilf haue do? Y schal bithenke to thee alle my yeeris, in the bitternisse of my soule.
¿Qué voy a decir? Viendo que es él quien lo ha hecho; todo mi tiempo de dormir me estoy moviendo de lado a lado sin descanso.
16 Lord, if me lyueth so, and the lijf of my spirit is in siche thingis, thou schalt chastise me, and schalt quykene me.
Oh Señor, por esta razón viven los hombres, y en todas estas mi espíritu; haz que me recupere y déjame volver a la vida.
17 Lo! my bitternesse is moost bittir in pees; forsothe thou hast delyuered my soule, that it perischide not; thou hast caste awey bihynde thi bak alle my synnes.
Mira, en lugar de la paz, mi alma tenía un dolor amargo. pero has apartado mi alma del inframundo; porque has quitado de mi memoria todos mis pecados.
18 For not helle schal knowleche to thee, nethir deth schal herie thee; thei that goon doun in to the lake, schulen not abide thi treuthe. (Sheol h7585)
Porque el inframundo no puede alabarte, la muerte no te da honor; para los que descienden al inframundo no hay esperanza en tu misericordia. (Sheol h7585)
19 A lyuynge man, a lyuynge man, he schal knouleche to thee, as and Y to dai; the fadir schal make knowun thi treuthe to sones.
El que vive, él que vive, él te dará alabanza, como lo hago hoy; el padre dará la historia de tu misericordia a sus hijos.
20 Lord, make thou me saaf, and we schulen synge oure salmes in all the daies of oure lijf in the hous of the Lord.
Oh Señor, sé mi salvador; Así que haremos mis canciones al son de los instrumentos cuerda todos los días de nuestras vidas en la casa del Señor.
21 And Ysaie comaundide, that thei schulden take a gobet of figus, and make a plaster on the wounde; and it schulde be heelid.
Entonces Isaías dijo: Tomen una torta de higos, y ponganla en la llaga, y vivirá.
22 And Ezechie seide, What signe schal be, that Y schal stie in to the hous of the Lord?
Y dijo Ezequías: ¿Cuál es la señal de que subiré a la casa del Señor?
