Isaiah 14
1 It is niy that the tyme therof come, and the daies therof schulen not be maad fer; for whi the Lord schal haue merci of Jacob, and he schal chese yit of Israel, and schal make them for to reste on her lond; a comelyng schal be ioyned to them, and schal cleue to the house of Jacob.
Porque Jehová tendrá piedad de Jacob, y todavía escogerá a Israel; y hacerles ha que descansen sobre su tierra; y juntarse han a ellos extranjeros, y allegarse han a la familia de Jacob.
2 And puplis schulen holde hem, and schulen brynge hem in to her place. And the hous of Israel schal haue hem in possessioun in to seruauntis and handmaidis on the lond of the Lord; and thei schulen take tho men that token hem, and thei schulen make suget her wrongful axeris.
Y tomarlos han pueblos, y traerlos han a su lugar; y la casa de Israel los poseerá por siervos y criadas en la tierra de Jehová; y cautivarán a los que los cautivaron, y señorearán a los que los oprimieron.
3 And it schal be in that dai, whanne God schal yyue to thee reste of thi trauel, and of thi shakyng, and of hard seruage, in which thou seruedist bifore,
Y será que en el día que Jehová te diere reposo de tu trabajo, y de tu temor, y de la dura servidumbre en que te hicieron servir,
4 thou schalt take this parable ayens the kyng of Babiloyne, and thou schalt sei, Hou ceesside the wrongful axere, restide tribute?
Entonces levantarás esta parábola sobre el rey de Babilonia, y dirás: ¿Cómo cesó el exactor, reposó la codiciosa del oro?
5 The Lord hath al to-broke the staf of wickid men, the yerde of lordis,
Quebrantó Jehová el bastón de los impíos, el cetro de los señores.
6 that beet puplis in indignacioun, with vncurable wounde, that sugetide folkis in woodnesse, that pursuede cruely.
Que con ira hería los pueblos de llaga perpetua; que con furor se enseñoreaba de las naciones: al perseguido no defendió.
7 Ech lond restide, and was stille; it was ioiful, and made ful out ioie.
Descansó, sosegó toda la tierra, cantaron alabanza.
8 Also fir trees and cedris of the Liban weren glad on thee; sithen thou sleptist, noon stieth that kittith vs doun.
Aun las hayas se holgaron de ti, los cedros del Líbano, diciendo: Desde que tú moriste, no ha subido cortador contra nosotros.
9 Helle vndur thee is disturblid for the meeting of thi comyng; he schal reise giauntis to thee; alle the princes of erthe han rise fro her seetis, alle the princes of naciouns. (Sheol h7585)
El infierno abajo se espantó de ti: despertóte muertos que en tu venida saliesen a recebirte: todos los príncipes de la tierra hizo levantar de sus tronos, a todos los reyes de las naciones. (Sheol h7585)
10 Alle thei schulen answere, and thei shulen seie to thee, And thou art woundid as and we, thou art maad lijk vs.
Todos ellos darán voces, y te dirán: ¿Tú también enfermaste como nosotros? ¿fuiste como nosotros?
11 Thi pride is drawun doun to hellis, thi deed careyn felle doun; a mouyte schal be strewyd vndur thee, and thin hilyng schal be wormes. (Sheol h7585)
Descendió al sepulcro tu soberbia, y el sonido de tus vihuelas: gusanos serán tu cama, y gusanos te cubrirán. (Sheol h7585)
12 A! Lucifer, that risidist eerli, hou feldist thou doun fro heuene; thou that woundist folkis, feldist doun togidere in to erthe.
¡Cómo caíste del cielo, o! Lucero, hijo de la mañana! ¡cortado fuiste por tierra, el que debilitabas las naciones!
13 Which seidist in thin herte, Y schal stie in to heuene, Y schal enhaunse my seete aboue the staris of heuene; Y schal sitte in the hil of testament, in the sidis of the north.
Tú que decías en tu corazón: Subiré al cielo: en lo alto junto a las estrellas de Dios ensalzaré mi trono; y en el monte del testimonio me asentaré, en los lados del aquilón.
14 Y schal stie on the hiynesse of cloudis; Y schal be lijk the hiyeste.
Sobre las alturas de las nubes subiré, y seré semejante al Altísimo.
Mas tú derribado eres en el sepulcro, a los lados de la huesa. (Sheol h7585)
16 Thei that schulen se thee, schulen be bowid doun to thee, and schulen biholde thee. Whether this is the man, that disturblid erthe, that schook togidere rewmes?
Inclinarse han hacia ti los que te vieren, y considerarte han, diciendo: ¿Es este aquel varón, que hacía temblar la tierra, que trastornaba los reinos,
17 that settide the world desert, and distried the citees therof, and openyde not the prisoun to the boundun men of hym?
Que puso el mundo como un desierto, que asoló sus ciudades, que a sus presos nunca abrió la cárcel?
18 Alle the kyngis of hethene men, alle slepten in glorie, a man in his hous.
Todos los reyes de las naciones, todos ellos yacen con honra cada uno en su casa.
19 But thou art cast out of thi sepulcre, as an vnprofitable stok, as defoulid with rot; and wlappid with hem that ben slayn with swerd, and yeden doun to the foundement of the lake.
Mas tú echado eres de tu sepulcro, como tronco abominable: como vestido de muertos a estocadas de espada, que descendieron a los fundamentos de la sepultura: como cuerpo muerto hollado.
20 As a rotun careyn, thou schalt not haue felouschipe, nethir with hem in sepulture, for thou hast lost thi lond, thou hast slayn the puple; the seed of the worst men schal not be clepid with outen ende.
No serás contado con ellos en la sepultura; porque tu destruiste tu tierra, mataste tu pueblo. No será para siempre la simiente de los malignos.
21 Make ye redi hise sones to sleying, for the wickidnesse of her fadris; thei schulen not rise, nether thei schulen enherite the lond, nether thei schulen fille the face of the roundenesse of citees.
Aparejád sus hijos para el matadero por la maldad de sus padres; no se levanten, y posean la tierra, e hinchan la haz del mundo de ciudades.
22 And Y schal rise on hem, seith the Lord of oostis, and Y schal leese the name of Babyloyne, and the relifs, and generacioun, and seed, seith the Lord.
Porque yo me levantaré sobre ellos, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, y raeré de Babilonia el nombre, y los residuos, hijo y nieto, dice Jehová.
23 And Y schal sette that Babiloyne in to possessioun of an irchoun, and in to mareisis of watris; and Y schal swepe it with a beesme, and Y schal stampe, seith the Lord of oostis.
Y ponerla he en posesión de erizos, y en lagunas de aguas; y barrerla he con escoba de destrucción, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
24 The Lord of oostis swoor, seiynge, Whether it schal not be so, as Y gesside, and it schal bifalle so, as Y tretide in soule?
Jehová de los ejércitos juró, diciendo: Si no se hiciere de la manera que lo he pensado; y si no será confirmado, como lo he determinado.
25 That Y al to-breke the kyng of Assiriens in my lond, and that Y defoule hym in myn hillis; and his yok schal be takun awei fro hem, and his birthun schal be takun awei fro the schuldur of hem.
Que quebrantaré al Asur en mi tierra, y en mis montes le hollaré; y su yugo será apartado de ellos, y su carga será quitada de su hombro.
26 This is the councel which Y thouyte on al the lond, and this is the hond stretchid forth on alle folkis.
Este es aquel consejo, que está acordado sobre toda la tierra; y esta es aquella mano extendida sobre todas las naciones.
27 For whi the Lord of oostis hath demed, and who mai make vnstidfaste? and his hond is stretchid forth, and who schal turne it awei?
Porque Jehová de los ejércitos lo ha determinado, ¿y quién lo invalidará? Y aquella su mano extendida, ¿quién la hará tornar?
28 The birthun of Filisteis. In the yeer wheryne kyng Achas diede, this birthun was maad.
En el año que murió el rey Acaz fue esta carga:
29 Al thou Filistea, be not glad, for the yerde of thi smytere is maad lesse; for whi a cocatrice schal go out of the roote of an eddre, and his seed schal soupe up a brid.
No te alegres tú, toda Filistea, por haberse quebrado la vara del que te hería; porque de la raíz de la culebra saldrá basilisco, y su fruto ceraste volador.
30 And the firste gendrid of pore men schulen be fed, and pore men schulen reste feithfuli; and Y schal make thi throte to perisch in hungur, and Y schal sle thi relifs.
Y los primogénitos de los pobres serán apacentados, y los menesterosos se acostarán seguramente; y haré morir de hambre tu raíz, y tus residuos matará él.
31 Yelle, thou yate; cry, thou citee, al Filistea is cast doun; for whi smoke schal come fro the north, and noon is that schal ascape his oost.
Aulla, o! puerta, clama, o! ciudad, desleida, Filistea, toda tú; porque humo vendrá del aquilón: no quedará uno solo en sus congregaciones.
32 And what schal be answerid to the messangeris of folk? for the Lord hath foundid Sion, and the pore men of his puple schulen hope in hym.
¿Y qué se responderá a los mensajeros de la gentilidad? Que Jehová fundó a Sión, y que en ella tendrán confianza los afligidos de su pueblo.
