Isaiah 14
1 It is niy that the tyme therof come, and the daies therof schulen not be maad fer; for whi the Lord schal haue merci of Jacob, and he schal chese yit of Israel, and schal make them for to reste on her lond; a comelyng schal be ioyned to them, and schal cleue to the house of Jacob.
Erbarmt der Herr sich Jakobs abermals, erwählt von neuem Israel und bringt sie heim, dann schließen Fremdlinge sich ihnen an, gesellen sich zu Jakobs Haus.
2 And puplis schulen holde hem, and schulen brynge hem in to her place. And the hous of Israel schal haue hem in possessioun in to seruauntis and handmaidis on the lond of the Lord; and thei schulen take tho men that token hem, and thei schulen make suget her wrongful axeris.
Sie nehmen mit sich von den Völkern Leute und führen sie in ihre Siedlung. Israels Haus macht auf dem Boden seines Herrn sie sich zu Knechten und zu Mägden. So werden sie nun ihrer Fänger Fänger und schalten über ihre Treiber.
3 And it schal be in that dai, whanne God schal yyue to thee reste of thi trauel, and of thi shakyng, and of hard seruage, in which thou seruedist bifore,
Verschafft der Herr dir Ruh von deinem Kummer, deiner Angst und von dem schweren Dienst, worunter du gelitten,
4 thou schalt take this parable ayens the kyng of Babiloyne, and thou schalt sei, Hou ceesside the wrongful axere, restide tribute?
dann stimme auf den Babelkönig dieses Spottlied an und rufe: "Wie muß der Treiber feiern und feiern das Gelärme?
5 The Lord hath al to-broke the staf of wickid men, the yerde of lordis,
Zerbrochen hat der Herr der Frevler Stock und der Tyrannen Zepter,
6 that beet puplis in indignacioun, with vncurable wounde, that sugetide folkis in woodnesse, that pursuede cruely.
das Völker grimmig schlug mit Schlägen ohne Ende, im Zorne Heidenvölker niedertrat mit Tritten mitleidslos.
7 Ech lond restide, and was stille; it was ioiful, and made ful out ioie.
Nun ruht und rastet alle Welt; sie jubelt auf.
8 Also fir trees and cedris of the Liban weren glad on thee; sithen thou sleptist, noon stieth that kittith vs doun.
Selbst die Zypressen freun sich über dich, die Zedern auf dem Libanon: 'Seitdem du dich gelegt, kein Fäller kommt mehr, uns zu fällen.'
9 Helle vndur thee is disturblid for the meeting of thi comyng; he schal reise giauntis to thee; alle the princes of erthe han rise fro her seetis, alle the princes of naciouns. (Sheol h7585)
Die Schattenwelt dort unten zittert dann bei deinem Kommen; die Schatten jagt sie auf, der Erde Führer insgesamt. Sie heißt von ihren Thronen sich erheben die Könige der Heidenvölker allesamt. (Sheol h7585)
10 Alle thei schulen answere, and thei shulen seie to thee, And thou art woundid as and we, thou art maad lijk vs.
Sie alle heben an und sagen dir: 'Auch du bist hingesiecht wie wir; du bist uns gleich geworden.'
11 Thi pride is drawun doun to hellis, thi deed careyn felle doun; a mouyte schal be strewyd vndur thee, and thin hilyng schal be wormes. (Sheol h7585)
Hinab ins Totenreich ist deine Pracht gestürzt, mit dem Getöne deiner Harfen. Das Lager unter dir sind Maden, und Gewürm ist deine Decke. (Sheol h7585)
12 A! Lucifer, that risidist eerli, hou feldist thou doun fro heuene; thou that woundist folkis, feldist doun togidere in to erthe.
Wie bist vom Himmel du gefallen, du Glanzstern, Sohn der Morgenröte! Wie auf die Erde hingeworfen, du Völkersieger!
13 Which seidist in thin herte, Y schal stie in to heuene, Y schal enhaunse my seete aboue the staris of heuene; Y schal sitte in the hil of testament, in the sidis of the north.
Du freilich hast bei dir gedacht: 'Ich steige auf zum Himmel und stelle über Gottes Sterne meinen Thron und setze mich auf den Versammlungsberg im hohen Norden.
14 Y schal stie on the hiynesse of cloudis; Y schal be lijk the hiyeste.
Zu Wolkenhöhen steige ich empor und mache mich dem Höchsten gleich.'
Nun stürzest du ins Schattenreich, zur allertiefsten Grube. (Sheol h7585)
16 Thei that schulen se thee, schulen be bowid doun to thee, and schulen biholde thee. Whether this is the man, that disturblid erthe, that schook togidere rewmes?
Die einstens dich gesehen, blicken dich voll Spannung an, betrachten dich und sagen: 'Ist das der Mann, der einst die Erde zittern ließ, in Schrecken Königreiche setzte?
17 that settide the world desert, and distried the citees therof, and openyde not the prisoun to the boundun men of hym?
Und der die Welt zur Wüste machte und ihre Städte niederriß, nicht losgab seine Häftlinge nach Hause?
18 Alle the kyngis of hethene men, alle slepten in glorie, a man in his hous.
Die Könige der Heidenvölker insgesamt, in Ehren ruhen sie: ein jeder ruht in seiner Gruft.
19 But thou art cast out of thi sepulcre, as an vnprofitable stok, as defoulid with rot; and wlappid with hem that ben slayn with swerd, and yeden doun to the foundement of the lake.
Doch du wirst weggeworfen ohne Grab wie ein verächtlich Ding, umgeben von Erwürgten, Schwertdurchbohrten, die zur Vergessenheit der Grube fahren. Wie ein zertreten Aas
20 As a rotun careyn, thou schalt not haue felouschipe, nethir with hem in sepulture, for thou hast lost thi lond, thou hast slayn the puple; the seed of the worst men schal not be clepid with outen ende.
wirst du im Grab jenen nicht beigesellt. Du hast dein Land verwüstet, dein eigen Volk erwürgt. Nicht werde mehr der Missetäter Brut gedacht! -
21 Make ye redi hise sones to sleying, for the wickidnesse of her fadris; thei schulen not rise, nether thei schulen enherite the lond, nether thei schulen fille the face of the roundenesse of citees.
So richtet eine Schlachtbank her für seine Söhne, ob ihrer Ahnen Missetat! Sie sollen nicht mehr auferstehen, die Erde zu erobern!' - Dann wird die Welt von Städten wieder Voll."
22 And Y schal rise on hem, seith the Lord of oostis, and Y schal leese the name of Babyloyne, and the relifs, and generacioun, and seed, seith the Lord.
"Aufstehen will ich wider sie", ein Spruch des Herrn der Heeresscharen. -
23 And Y schal sette that Babiloyne in to possessioun of an irchoun, and in to mareisis of watris; and Y schal swepe it with a beesme, and Y schal stampe, seith the Lord of oostis.
"Ich rotte Namen, Nachkommen und Schoß und Sproß aus Babel aus und mache es zum Sumpf, mit Rohr bewachsen, in tiefen Schlamm versunken." - Ein Spruch des Herrn der Heeresscharen.
24 The Lord of oostis swoor, seiynge, Whether it schal not be so, as Y gesside, and it schal bifalle so, as Y tretide in soule?
Geschworen hat der Heeresscharen Herr: "Wie ich's beschlossen, soll's geschehen. Wie ich mir's vorgenommen, soll's auch werden.
25 That Y al to-breke the kyng of Assiriens in my lond, and that Y defoule hym in myn hillis; and his yok schal be takun awei fro hem, and his birthun schal be takun awei fro the schuldur of hem.
In meinem Land zerschmettere ich den Assyrer, zertrete ihn auf meinen Bergen, auf daß sein Joch von ihnen schwinde und seine Last von ihrem Nacken weiche."
26 This is the councel which Y thouyte on al the lond, and this is the hond stretchid forth on alle folkis.
Das ist der Plan, geplant für alle Welt, und das der Arm, der über alle Heidenvölker ausgestreckt.
27 For whi the Lord of oostis hath demed, and who mai make vnstidfaste? and his hond is stretchid forth, and who schal turne it awei?
Der Heeresscharen Herr beschließt es. Wer will es hindern? Ist ausgestreckt sein Arm, wer biegt ihn rückwärts?
28 The birthun of Filisteis. In the yeer wheryne kyng Achas diede, this birthun was maad.
Im Todesjahr des Königs Achaz erfolgte dieser Ausspruch:
29 Al thou Filistea, be not glad, for the yerde of thi smytere is maad lesse; for whi a cocatrice schal go out of the roote of an eddre, and his seed schal soupe up a brid.
"Freu dich, Philisterland, nicht allzu sehr, daß jetzt die Rute, die dich schlug, zerbrochen ist! Dem Schlangenstamm entspringt ja eine Natter; ein Flügeldrache ist ihr Junges.
30 And the firste gendrid of pore men schulen be fed, and pore men schulen reste feithfuli; and Y schal make thi throte to perisch in hungur, and Y schal sle thi relifs.
Die Ärmsten aber können auf die Weide gehen, und Elende in Sicherheit sich lagern; dagegen töte ich durch Hunger deinen Stamm; er mordet deinen Rest.
31 Yelle, thou yate; cry, thou citee, al Filistea is cast doun; for whi smoke schal come fro the north, and noon is that schal ascape his oost.
Ihr Tore, wimmert! Klaget, Städte! Erbebe, ganz Philisterland! Denn qualmgleich kommt es aus dem Norden; nicht einer bleibt zurück bei seinen Scharen.
32 And what schal be answerid to the messangeris of folk? for the Lord hath foundid Sion, and the pore men of his puple schulen hope in hym.
Was wird man dann den Heidenboten sagen? 'Der Herr hat Sion fest gegründet, und dort besitzen die Armen seines Volkes eine Zufluchtsstatt.'"
