1 And the former testament hadde iustefiyngis of worschip, and hooli thing duringe for a tyme.
Imel je pač tudi prvi šator pravice službe Božje in posvetno svetišče.
2 For the tabernacle was maad first, in which weren candilstikis, and boord, and setting forth of looues, which is seid hooli.
Šator namreč je bil napravljen prvi, v katerem je bil svečnik in miza in razpostava kruhov; kateri se imenuje Sveti.
3 And after the veil, the secounde tabernacle, that is seid sancta sanctorum, that is, hooli of hooli thingis;
Za drugim pa zagrinjalom šator imenovani: Najsvetejši,
4 hauynge a goldun cenrer, and the arke of the testament, keuered aboute on ech side with gold, in which was a pot of gold hauynge manna, and the yerde of Aaron that florischide, and the tablis of the testament;
Imajoč zlato kadilnico in skrinjo zaveze, od vseh strani zlatom okovano, v kateri zlati vrč z mano, in palica Aronova zeleneča, in ploče zaveze;
5 on whiche thingis weren cherubyns of glorie, ouerschadewinge the propiciatorie; of whiche thingis it is not now to seie bi alle.
Nad njo pa Kerubi slave, obsenčujoči pokrov sprave, o čemur ni sedaj govoriti na drobno.
6 But whanne these weren maad thus togidere, preestis entriden eueremore in the formere tabernacle, doynge the offices of sacrifices; but in the secounde tabernacle,
Ker je torej to tako napravljeno, vhajajo v prvi šator vedno duhovniki službo opravljat;
7 the bischop entride onys in the yeer, not without blood, which he offride for his ignoraunce and the puplis.
V druzega pa enkrat na leto sam višji duhovnik, ne brez krvi, katero daruje záse in za ljudstva pregreške;
8 For the Hooli Goost signefiede this thing, that not yit the weie of seyntis was openyd, while the formere tabernacle hadde staat.
Ker Duh sveti kaže to, da pot do svetišča ni še razodeta, dokler ima še stanje prvi šator;
9 Which parable is of this present tyme, bi which also yiftis and sacrifices ben offrid, whiche moun not make a man seruynge perfit bi conscience, oneli in metis,
Kateri je prilika za čas sedanji, v katerem se darujejo darovi in žrtve, ki ne morejo po zavesti popolniti službujočega,
10 and drynkis, and dyuerse waischingis, and riytwisnessis of fleisch, that weren sett to the tyme of correccioun.
Ker so samo z jedili vred in pijačami in različnim omivanjem in mesnimi navedbami do časa poprave naložene.
11 But Crist beynge a bischop of goodis to comynge, entride bi a largere and perfitere tabernacle, not maad bi hoond, that is to seye,
Kristus pa je prišel, višji duhovnik prihodnjih dobrót, in je šel skozi večji in popolnejši šator, ne z roko narejen, to je, ne tega stvarjenja,
12 not of this makyng, nether bi blood of goot buckis, or of calues, but bi his owne blood, entride onys in to the hooli thingis, that weren foundun bi an euerlastinge redempcioun. (aiōnios )
Tudi ne po krvi kozlov in telét, nego po svoji krvi, enkrat za vselej v svetišče in je našel večno rešitev. (aiōnios )
13 For if the blood of gootbuckis, and of boolis, and the aische of a cow calf spreynd, halewith vnclene men to the clensing of fleisch,
Kajti če bikov in kozlov in junice pepel, ki pokropi onečiščene, osvečuje za mesno čistost,
14 hou myche more the blood of Crist, which bi the Hooli Goost offride hym silf vnwemmyd to God, schal clense oure conscience fro deed werkis, to serue God that lyueth? (aiōnios )
Kolikanj bolj bode kri Kristusa, kateri se je po Duhu večnem daroval brez madeža Bogu, očistila vest vašo mrtvih dél, da služite Bogu živemu? (aiōnios )
15 And therfor he is a mediatour of the newe testament, that bi deth fallinge bitwixe, in to redempcioun of tho trespassyngis that weren vndur the formere testament, thei that ben clepid take the biheest of euerlastinge eritage. (aiōnios )
In zato je nove zaveze srednik, da, ko se je zgodila smrt za rešenje grehov po prvi zavezi, poklicani obljubo zadobé večne dedščine. (aiōnios )
16 For where a testament is, it is nede, that the deth of the testament makere come bitwixe.
Kajti kjer je oporoka, treba da se naznani smrt oporočnika;
17 For a testament is confermed in deed men; ellis it is not worthe, while he lyueth, that made the testament.
Kajti oporoka je pri mrtvih veljavna, ker nikdar nima moči, kader živi oporočnik.
18 Wherfor nether the firste testament was halewid without blood.
Zato se tudi prva ni ponovila brez krvi.
19 For whanne ech maundement of the lawe was red of Moises to al the puple, he took the blood of calues, and of buckis of geet, with watir, and reed wolle, and ysope, and bispreynde bothe thilke book and al the puple,
Ko je bil namreč Mojzes vsako zapoved po postavi oznanil vsemu ljudstvu, vzel je kri telét in kozlov z vodo in volno škarlatno in isopom, ter pokropil knjigo sámo in vse ljudstvo, govoreč:
20 and seide, This is the blood of the testament, that God comaundide to you.
"To je kri zaveze, katero je Bog vam zapovedal."
21 Also he spreynde with blood the tabernacle, and alle the vessels of the seruyce in lijk maner.
In tudi šator in vse orodje službe Božje pokropil je enako s krvjo.
22 And almest alle thingis ben clensid in blood bi the lawe; and without scheding of blood remyssioun of synnes is not maad.
In skoraj se vse očisti v krvi po postavi, in brez prelivanja krvi ne zgodí se odpuščenje.
23 Therfor it is nede, that the saumpleris of heuenli thingis be clensid with these thingis; but thilke heuenli thingis with betere sacrificis than these.
Potrebno je torej, da se podobe nebeških stvarî s tem očiščajo, nebeške stvari same pa z boljšimi žrtvami mimo téh.
24 For Jhesus entride not in to hooli thingis maad bi hoondis, that ben saumpleris of very thingis, but in to heuene it silf, that he appere now to the cheer of God for vs;
Kajti Kristus ni šel v svetišče z roko narejeno, podobo pravega, nego v samo nebo, prikazat se sedaj obličju Božjemu za nas;
25 nether that he offre him silf ofte, as the bischop entride in to hooli thingis bi alle yeeris in alien blood,
Tudi ne, samega sebe večkrat darovat, kakor višji duhovnik vhaja v svetišče vsako leto s tujo krvjo;
26 ellis it bihofte hym to suffre ofte fro the bigynnyng of the world; but now onys in the ending of worldis, to distruccioun of synne bi his sacrifice he apperide. (aiōn )
(Kajti večkrat bi bil moral trpeti od ustanove sveta), sedaj pa se je enkrat prikazal po žrtvi svoji na konci sveta v izbrisanje greha. (aiōn )
27 And as it is ordeynede to men, onys to die, but aftir this is the dom,
In v kolikor je človeku namenjeno enkrat umreti, po tem pa sodba,
28 so Crist was offrid onys, to auoyde the synnes of many men; the secounde tyme he schal appere with outen synne to men that abiden him in to heelthe.
Tako se bode tudi Kristus, ko se je enkrat daroval, da bi nosil mnogih grehe, vdrugič brez greha prikazal njim v zveličanje, kateri ga pričakujejo.
