Hebrews 10
1 For the lawe hauinge a schadewe of good thingis `that ben to come, not the ilke image of thingis, mai neuer make men neiyinge perfit bi the ilke same sacrifices, which thei offren without ceessing bi alle yeeris;
La Ley no es sino una sombra de los bienes venideros, no la imagen misma de las cosas, por lo cual nunca puede con los mismos sacrificios, ofrecidos sin cesar año tras año, hacer perfectos a los que se le acercan.
2 ellis thei schulden haue ceessid to be offrid, for as myche as the worschiperis clensid onys, hadden not ferthermore conscience of synne.
De lo contrario ¿no habrían cesado de ofrecerse? puesto que los oferentes una vez purificados no tendrían más conciencia del pecado.
3 But in hem mynde of synnes is maad bi alle yeris.
Sin embargo, en aquellos ( sacrificios ) se hace memoria de los pecados año por año.
4 For it is impossible that synnes be doon awei bi blood of boolis, and of buckis of geet.
Porque es imposible que la sangre de toros y de machos cabríos quite pecados.
5 Therfor he entrynge in to the world, seith, Thou woldist not sacrifice and offryng; but thou hast schapun a bodi to me;
Por lo cual dice al entrar en el mundo: “Sacrificio y oblación no los quisiste, pero un cuerpo me has preparado.
6 brent sacrificis also for synne plesiden not to thee.
Holocaustos y sacrificios por el pecado no te agradaron.
7 Thanne Y seide, Lo! Y come; in the bigynnyng of the book it is writun of me, that Y do thi wille, God.
Entonces dije: He aquí que vengo —así está escrito de Mí en el rollo del Libro— para hacer, oh Dios, tu voluntad”.
8 He seiynge bifor, That thou woldist not sacrificis, and offringis, and brent sacrifices for synne, ne tho thingis ben plesaunt to thee, whiche ben offrid bi the lawe,
Habiendo dicho arriba: “Sacrificios y oblaciones, y holocaustos por el pecado no los quisiste, ni te agradaron estas cosas que se ofrecen según la Ley”,
9 thanne Y seide, Lo! Y come, that Y do thi wille, God. He doith awei the firste, that he make stidfast the secounde.
continuó diciendo: “He aquí que vengo para hacer tu voluntad”; con lo cual abroga lo primero, para establecer lo segundo.
10 In which wille we ben halewid bi the offring of the bodi of Crist Jhesu onys.
En virtud de esta voluntad hemos sido santificados una vez para siempre por la oblación del cuerpo de Jesucristo.
11 And ech prest is redi mynystrynge ech dai, and ofte tymes offringe the same sacrifices, whiche moun neuere do awei synnes.
Todo sacerdote está ejerciendo día por día su ministerio, ofreciendo muchas veces los mismos sacrificios, los cuales nunca pueden quitar los pecados;
12 But this man offringe o sacrifice for synnes, for euere more sittith in the riythalf of God the fadir;
Este, empero, después de ofrecer un solo sacrificio por los pecados, para siempre “se sentó a la diestra de Dios”,
13 fro thennus forth abidinge, til hise enemyes ben put a stool of hise feet.
aguardando lo que resta “hasta que sus enemigos sean puestos por escabel de sus pies”.
14 For bi oon offring he made perfit for euere halewid men.
Porque con una sola oblación ha consumado para siempre a los santificados.
15 And the Hooli Goost witnessith to vs; for aftir that he seide, This is the testament,
Esto nos lo certifica también el Espíritu Santo, porque después de haber dicho:
16 which Y schal witnesse to hem after tho daies, the Lord seith, in yyuynge my lawes in the hertis of hem, and in the soulis of hem Y schal aboue write hem;
“Este es el pacto que concluiré con ellos, después de aquellos días, dice el Señor, pondré mis leyes en su corazón, y las escribiré en su mente”,
17 and now Y schal no more thenke on the synnes and the wickidnessis of hem.
( añade ): “Y de sus pecados y sus iniquidades no me acordaré más”.
18 And where remyssioun of these is, now is ther noon offring for synne.
Ahora bien, donde hay perdón de estos, ya no hay más oblación por el pecado.
19 Therfor, britheren, hauynge trist in to the entring of hooli thingis in the blood of Crist,
Teniendo, pues, hermanos, libre entrada en el santuario, en virtud de la sangre de Jesús;
20 which halewide to vs a newe weie, and lyuynge bi the hiling, that is to seie,
un camino nuevo y vivo, que Él nos abrió a través del velo, esto es, de su carne,
21 his fleisch, and we hauynge the greet preest on the hous of God,
y un gran sacerdote sobre la casa de Dios,
22 neiye we with very herte in the plente of feith; and be oure hertis spreined fro an yuel conscience, and oure bodies waischun with clene watir,
lleguémonos con corazón sincero, en plenitud de fe, limpiados los corazones de mala conciencia y lavados los cuerpos con agua pura.
23 and holde we the confessioun of oure hope, bowinge to no side; for he is trewe that hath made the biheeste.
Mantengamos firme la confesión de nuestra esperanza, porque fiel es el que hizo la promesa;
24 And biholde we togidere in the stiring of charite and of good werkis; not forsakinge oure gadering togidere,
y miremos los unos por los otros, para estímulo de caridad y de buenas obras,
25 as it is of custom to sum men, but coumfortinge, and bi so myche the more, bi hou myche ye seen the dai neiyynge.
no abandonando la común reunión, como es costumbre de algunos, sino antes animándoos, y tanto más, cuanto que veis acercarse el día.
26 Forwhi now a sacrifice for synnes is not left to vs, that synnen wilfuli, aftir that we han take the knowyng of treuthe.
Porque si pecamos voluntariamente, después de haber recibido el conocimiento de la verdad, no queda ya sacrificio por los pecados,
27 Forwhi sum abiding of the dom is dreedful, and the suyng of fier, which schal waste aduersaries.
sino una horrenda expectación del juicio, y un celo abrasador que ha de devorar a los enemigos.
28 Who that brekith Moises lawe, dieth withouten ony merci, bi tweine or thre witnessis;
Si uno desacata la Ley de Moisés, muere sin misericordia por el testimonio de dos o tres testigos,
29 hou myche more gessen ye, that he disserueth worse turmentis, which defouleth the sone of God, and holdith the blood of the testament pollut, in which he is halewid, and doith dispit to the spirit of grace?
¿de cuánto más severo castigo pensáis que será juzgado digno el que pisotea al Hijo de Dios, y considera como inmunda la sangre del pacto con que fue santificado, y ultraja al Espíritu de la gracia?
30 For we knowen him that seide, To me veniaunce, and Y schal yelde. And eft, For the Lord schal deme his puple.
Pues sabemos quién dijo: “Mía es la venganza; Yo daré el merecido”, y otra vez: “Juzgará el Señor a su pueblo”.
31 It is ferdful to falle in to the hondis of God lyuynge.
Horrenda cosa es caer en las manos del Dios vivo.
32 And haue ye mynde on the formere daies, in which ye weren liytned, and suffriden greet strijf of passiouns.
Recordad los días primeros, en que, después de iluminados, soportasteis un gran combate de padecimientos.
33 And in the `tothir ye weren maad a spectacle bi schenschipis and tribulaciouns; in an othir ye weren maad felowis of men lyuynge so.
Por una parte habéis servido de espectáculo por la afrenta y tribulación que padecisteis; por la otra, os habéis hecho partícipes de los que sufrían tal tratamiento.
34 For also to boundun men ye hadden compassioun, and ye resseyueden with ioye the robbyng of youre goodis, knowinge that ye han a betere and a dwellinge substaunce.
Porque no solamente os compadecisteis de los encarcelados, sino que aceptasteis gozosamente el robo de vuestros bienes, sabiendo que tenéis una posesión mejor y duradera.
35 Therfor nyle ye leese youre trist, which hath greet rewarding.
No perdáis, pues, vuestra confianza, que tiene una grande recompensa,
36 For pacience is nedeful to you, that ye do the wille of God, and bringe ayen the biheest.
puesto que tenéis necesidad de paciencia, a fin de que después de cumplir la voluntad de Dios obtengáis lo prometido:
37 For yit a litil, and he that is to comynge schal come, and he schal not tarie.
“Porque todavía un brevísimo tiempo, y el que ha de venir vendrá y no tardará”.
38 For my iust man lyueth of feith; that if he withdrawith hym silf, he schal not plese to my soule.
Y “El justo mío vivirá por la fe; mas si se retirare, no se complacerá mi alma en él”.
39 But we ben not the sones of withdrawing awei in to perdicioun, but of feith in to getynge of soule.
Pero nosotros no somos de aquellos que se retiran para perdición, sino de los de fe para ganar el alma.
