Haggai 1
1 In the secounde yeer of Darius, kyng of Persis, in the sixte monethe, in the firste dai of the monethe, the word of the Lord was maad in the hond of Aggey, profete, to Sorobabel, sone of Salatiel, duyk of Juda, and to Jhesu, the greet preest, sone of Josedech,
Im zweiten Jahre des Königs Darius, im sechsten Monat, am ersten Tage des Monats, geschah das Wort Jehovas durch den Propheten Haggai zu Serubbabel, dem Sohne Schealtiels, dem Landpfleger von Juda, und zu Josua, dem Sohne Jozadaks, dem Hohenpriester, also:
2 and seide, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, and spekith, This puple seith, Yit cometh not the tyme of the hous of the Lord to be bildid.
So spricht Jehova der Heerscharen und sagt: Dieses Volk spricht: Die Zeit ist nicht gekommen, die Zeit, daß das Haus Jehovas gebaut werde.
3 And the word of the Lord was maad in the hond of Aggei,
Und das Wort Jehovas geschah durch den Propheten Haggai also:
4 profete, and seide, Whether it is tyme to you, that ye dwelle in housis couplid with tymbir, and this hous be forsakun?
Ist es für euch selbst Zeit, in euren getäfelten Häusern zu wohnen, während dieses Haus wüst liegt?
5 And now the Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Putte ye youre hertis on youre weies.
Und nun, so spricht Jehova der Heerscharen: Richtet eurer Herz auf eure Wege!
6 Ye han sowe myche, and brouyte in litil; ye han etun, and ben not fillid; ye han drunke, and ye ben not ful of drynk; ye hiliden you, and ye ben not maad hoote; and he that gaderide hiris, sente tho in to a sak holid, ether brokun.
Ihr habt viel gesät und wenig eingebracht; ihr esset, aber nicht zur Sättigung; ihr trinket, aber nicht zur Genüge; ihr kleidet euch, aber es wird keinem warm; und der Lohnarbeiter erwirbt Lohn für einen durchlöcherten Beutel.
7 The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Putte ye youre hertis on youre weies.
So spricht Jehova der Heerscharen: Richtet euer Herz auf eure Wege!
8 Stie ye vp in to the munteyn, bere ye trees, and bilde ye an hous; and it schal be acceptable to me, and Y schal be glorified, seith the Lord.
Steiget auf das Gebirge und bringet Holz herbei und bauet das Haus, so werde ich Wohlgefallen daran haben und verherrlicht werden, spricht Jehova.
9 Ye bihelden to more, and lo! it is maad lesse; and ye brouyten in to the hous, and Y blew it out. For what cause, seith the Lord of oostis? for myn hous is desert, and ye hasten ech man in to his hous.
Ihr habt nach vielem ausgeschaut, und siehe, es wurde wenig; und brachtet ihr es heim, so blies ich darein. Weshalb das? spricht Jehova der Heerscharen; wegen meines Hauses, das wüst liegt, während ihr laufet, ein jeder für sein eigenes Haus.
10 For this thing heuenes ben forbedun, that thei schulden not yyue dew on you; and the erthe is forbodun, that it schulde not yyue his buriownyng.
Darum hat der Himmel den Tau über euch zurückgehalten, und die Erde ihren Ertrag zurückgehalten.
11 And Y clepide drynesse on erthe, and on mounteyns, and on wheete, and on wyn, and on oile, and what euer thingis the erthe bryngith forth; and on men, and on beestis, and on al labour of hondis.
Und ich habe eine Dürre gerufen über das Land und über die Berge, und über das Korn und über den Most und über das Öl, und über das, was der Erdboden hervorbringt, und über die Menschen und über das Vieh, und über alle Arbeit der Hände.
12 And Sorobabel, the sone of Salatiel, and Jhesus, the greet preest, the sone of Josedech, and alle relifs of the puple, herden the vois of her God, and the wordis of Aggei, the profete, as the Lord God of hem sente him to hem; and al the puple dredde of the face of the Lord.
Und Serubbabel, der Sohn Schealtiels, und Josua, der Sohn Jozadaks, der Hohepriester, und der ganze Überrest des Volkes hörten auf die Stimme Jehovas, ihres Gottes, und auf die Worte des Propheten Haggai, so wie Jehova, ihr Gott, ihn gesandt hatte; und das Volk fürchtete sich vor Jehova.
13 And Aggei, a messanger of the Lord, of the messangeris of the Lord, seide to the puple, and spak, Y am with you, seith the Lord.
Da sprach Haggai, der Bote Jehovas, vermöge der Botschaft Jehovas, zu dem Volke und sagte: Ich bin mit euch, spricht Jehova.
14 And the Lord reiside the spirit of Sorobabel, the sone of Salatiel, duik of Juda, and the spirit of Jhesu, the greet preest, the sone of Josedech, and the spirit of the relifs of al puple; and thei entriden, and maden werk in the hous of the Lord of oostis, her God.
Und Jehova erweckte den Geist Serubbabels, des Sohnes Schealtiels, des Landpflegers von Juda, und den Geist Josuas, des Sohnes Jozadaks, des Hohenpriesters, und den Geist des ganzen Überrestes des Volkes; und sie kamen und arbeiteten am Hause Jehovas der Heerscharen, ihres Gottes,
15 In the foure and twentithe dai of the monethe, in the sixte monethe, in the secunde yeer of kyng Darius.
am vierundzwanzigsten Tage des sechsten Monats, im zweiten Jahre des Königs Darius.
