Haggai 2
1 In the seuenthe monethe, in the oon and twentith dai of the monethe, the word of the Lord was maad in the hond of Aggei, the profete, and seide,
Ensimäisenä päivänä kolmattakymmentä, seitsemäntenä kuukautena, tapahtui Herran sana propheta Haggain kautta ja sanoi:
2 Speke thou to Sorobabel, the sone of Salatiel, the duyk of Juda, and to Jhesu, the gret preest, the sone of Josedech, and to othere of the puple, and seie thou,
Puhu nyt Serubbabelille Sealtielin pojalle, Juudan päämiehelle, ja Josualle Jotsadakin pojalle, ylimmäiselle papille, ja jätetylle kansalle, ja sano:
3 Who in you is left, that sai this hous in his firste glorie? and what seen ye this now? whether it is not thus, as if it be not bifore youre iyen?
Kuka on jääneissä, joka tämän huoneen entisessä kunniassansa nähnyt on? ja kuinka se nyt teille näyttää? eikö se ole sen suhteen niinkuin ei mitään teidän silmäinne edessä?
4 And now, Sorobabel, be thou coumfortid, seith the Lord, and Jhesu, greet preest, sone of Josedech, be thou coumfortid, and al the puple of the lond, be thou coumfortid, seith the Lord of oostis; and do ye, for Y am with you, seith the Lord of oostis.
Ja nyt Serubbabel, ole hyvässä turvassa, sanoo Herra; ole sinäkin hyvässä turvassa, Josua Jotsadakin poika, ylimmäinen pappi; olkaat kaikka kansa maakunnassa hyvässä turvassa, sanoo Herra, ja tehkäät työtä; sillä minä olen teidän kanssanne, sanoo Herra Zebaot.
5 The word that Y couenauntide with you, whanne ye wenten out of the lond of Egipt, and my Spirit schal be in the myddil of you.
Sen sanan jälkeen kuin minä tein teidän kanssanne liiton, kuin te Egyptistä vaelsitte, ja minun henkeni pitää teidän keskellänne pysymän: älkäät peljätkö.
6 Nyle ye drede, for the Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Yit o litil thing is, and Y schal moue heuene, and erthe, and see, and drie lond;
Sillä näin sanoo Herra Zebaot: vielä on vähä aikaa, niin minä taivaan, maan, meren ja mantereen saatan liikkumaan.
7 and Y schal moue alle folkis, and the desirid to alle folkis schal come; and Y schal fille this hous with glorie, seith the Lord of oostis.
Ja tahdon saattaa kaikki pakanat liikkumaan; silloin tulee kaikkein pakanain toivo, ja minä täytän tämän huoneen kunnialla, sanoo Herra Zebaot.
8 Myn is siluer, and myn is gold, seith the Lord of oostes.
Sillä minun on hopia ja minun on kulta, sanoo Herra Zebaot.
9 The glorie of this laste hous schal be greet, more than the firste, seith the Lord of oostis. And in this place Y schal yyue pees, seith the Lord of oostis.
Tämän jälkimäisen huoneen kunnia on suurempi oleva kuin ensimäisen, sanoo Herra Zebaot; ja minä tahdon antaa rauhan tälle paikalle, sanoo Herra Zebaot.
10 In the foure and twentithe dai of the nynthe monethe, in the secounde yeer of kyng Daryus, the word of the Lord was maad to Aggei, the profete, and seide, The Lord God of oostis seith these thingis,
Neljäntenä päivänä kolmattakymmentä, yhdeksäntenä kuukautena toisena Dariuksen vuotena, tapahtui Herran sana propheta Haggaille ja sanoi:
11 Axe thou preestis the lawe, and seie thou,
Näin sanoo Herra Zebaot: kysy papeilta lakia ja sano:
12 If a man takith halewyd fleisch in the hem of his clothing, and touchith of the hiynesse therof breed, ether potage, ether wyn, ether oile, ether ony mete, whether it schal be halewid? Sotheli preestis answeriden, and seiden, Nai.
Jos joku kantais pyhitettyä lihaa helmassansa, ja satuttais sitte vaatteensa helman leipään, puuroon, viinaan, öljyyn, eli mikä ruoka se olis, tulisko se myös pyhäksi? ja papit vastasivat ja sanoivat: ei.
13 And Aggei seide, If a man defoulid in soule touchith of alle these thingis, whether it schal be defoulid? And prestis answeriden, and seiden, It schal be defoulid.
Haggai sanoi: jos joku raadosta saastutettu yhteen näistä sattuis, tulisko se saastaiseksi? Papit vastasivat ja sanoivat: se tulee saastaiseksi.
14 And Aggei answeride, and seide, So is this puple, and so is this folc bifor my face, seith the Lord, and so is al werk of her hondis; and alle thingis whiche thei offren there, schulen be defoulid.
Niin Haggai vastasi ja sanoi: juuri niin on tämä kansa, ja nämät ihmiset minun edessäni, sanoo Herra, ja kaikki heidän kättensä työt, ja mitä he uhraavat, on saastainen.
15 And nowe putte ye youre hertis, fro this dai and aboue, bifor that a stoon on a stoon was put in temple of the Lord,
Ja katsokaat, kuinka teille käynyt on tästä päivästä ja ennenkuin joku kivi pantiin toisen päälle Herran templissä.
16 whanne ye wenten to an heep of twenti buischels, and there weren maad ten; ye entriden to the pressour, that ye schulden presse out fifti galouns, and there weren maad twenti.
Että kuin joku tuli ohraläjän tykö, jolla piti kaksikymmentä mittaa oleman, niin siellä oli kymmenen; koska hän tuli viinakuurnan tykö, ja luuli viisikymmentä aamia täyttävänsä, niin siellä oli kaksikymmentä.
17 Y smoot you with brennynge wynd; and with myldew, and hail, alle the werkis of youre hondis; and ther was noon in you that turnede ayen to me, seith the Lord.
Sillä minä vaivasin teitä poudalla, nokipäillä ja rakeilla, kaikissa teidän kättenne töissä; ette kuitenkaan kääntyneet minun tyköni, sanoo Herra.
18 Putte ye youre hertis fro this dai, and in to comynge, fro the foure and twentithe dai of the nynthe monethe, fro the dai in whiche foundementis of the temple of the Lord ben castun, putte ye on youre herte.
Niin pankaat nyt mieleenne tästä päivästä ja ennen, nimittäin neljännestä päivästä kolmattakymmentä, yhdeksäntenä kuukautena, hamaan siihen päivään, jona Herran templi perustettiin, pankaat mieleenne.
19 Whether now seed is in buriownyng? and yit vineyerd, and fige tre, and pomgarnade, and the tre of olyue flouride not.
Sillä siemenet ovat vielä salvossa, ja ei vielä mitään kasva, ei viinapuu, fikunapuu, granatipuu, eikä öljypuu; mutta tämän päivän perästä tahdon minä antaa siunauksen.
20 Fro this dai Y schal blesse. And the word of the Lord was maad the secounde tyme to Aggei, in the foure and twentithe dai of the monethe,
Ja Herran sana tapahtui toisen kerran Haggaille, neljäntenä päivänä kolmattakymmentä siinä kuukaudessa, ja sanoi:
21 and seide, Spek thou to Sorobabel, duik of Juda, and seie thou, Y shal moue heuene and erthe togidere, and Y schal distrie the seet of rewmes,
Sano Serubbabelille, Juudan päämiehelle: minä tahdon taivaan ja maan liikuttaa;
22 and Y schal al to-breke the strengthe of rewme of hethene men, and schal distrie a foure horsid carte, and the stiere therof; and horsis schulen go doun, and stieris of hem, a man bi swerd of his brother.
Ja tahdon valtakuntain istuimet kukistaa, ja pakanain voimalliset valtakunnat kadottaa; ja kukistan rattaat ja ratsasmiehet, niin että hevonen ja mies pitää kukistettaman, kukin kumppaninsa miekalla.
23 In that dai, seith the Lord of oostis, thou Sorobabel, sone of Salatiel, my seruaunt, Y schal take thee, seith the Lord; and Y schal putte thee as a signet, for Y chees thee, seith the Lord of oostis.
Sillä ajalla, sanoo Herra Zebaot, tahdon minä sinua korjata, sinä Serubbabel Sealtielin poika, minun palveliani, sanoo Herra, ja tahdon sinun pitää niinkuin sinettisormuksen; sillä minä olen sinun valinnut, sanoo Herra Zebaot.
