Genesis 9
1 And God blisside Noe and hise sones, and seide to hem, Encreesse ye, and be ye multiplied, and fille ye the erthe;
Ja Jumala siunasi Noan ja hänen poikansa, ja sanoi heille: olkaat hedelmälliset, lisääntykäät ja täyttäkäät maata.
2 and youre drede and tremblyng be on alle vnresonable beestis of erthe, and on alle briddis of heuene, with alle thingis that ben moued in erthe; alle fischis of the see ben youun to youre hond.
Ja teidän pelkonne ja hämmästyksenne olkoon kaikissa eläimissä maan päällä, ja kaikissa linnuissa taivaan alla; ja kaikissa, jotka maalla matelevat, ja kaikissa kaloissa meressä: ne ovat teidän käsiinne annetut.
3 And al thing which is moued and lyueth schal be to you in to mete; Y have youe to you alle thingis as greene wortis,
Kaikki, jotka liikkuvat ja elävät, olkoon teille ruaksi: niinkuin viheriäisen ruohon, olen minä kaikki teille antanut.
4 outakun that ye schulen not ete fleisch with blood,
Ainoastansa älkäät syökö lihaa, jossa vielä on veri itsessänsä:
5 for Y schal seke the blood of youre lyues of the hoond of alle vnresonable beestis and of the hoond of man, of the hoond of man and of hys brother Y schal seke the lijf of man.
Ja totisesti minä tahdon vaatia teidän ruumiinne veren, kaikilta eläimiltä minä sen tahdon vaatia: ja ihmisen kädestä, ja myös itsekunkin hänen veljensä kädestä tahdon minä vaatia ihmisen hengen.
6 Who euere schedith out mannus blood, his blood schal be sched; for man is maad to the ymage of God.
Se kuin ihmisen veren vuodattaa, hänen verensä pitää ihmisen kautta vuodatettaman: sillä Jumala on ihmisen tehnyt kuvaksensa.
7 Forsothe encreesse ye, and be ye multiplied, and entre ye on erthe, and fille ye it, Also the Lord seide thes thingis to Noe,
Olkaat siis hedelmälliset, lisääntykäät ja enentäkäät teitänne maassa, ja tulkaat siinä moneksi.
8 and to his sones with him, Lo!
Ja Jumala puhui Noalle ja hänen pojillensa hänen kanssansa, sanoen:
9 Y schal make my couenaunt with you, and with your seed after you,
Ja minä, katso, minä teen teidän kanssanne minun liittoni, ja teidän siemenenne kanssa teidän jälkeenne.
10 and to ech lyuynge soule which is with you, as wel in briddis as in werk beestis and smale beestis of erthe, and to alle thingis that yeden out of the schip, and to alle vnresonable beestis of erthe.
Ja jokaisen elävän hengen kanssa, jotka teidän tykönänne ovat, sekä linnuissa että karjassa, ja kaikissa eläimissä maan päällä, jotka teidän tykönänne ovat, kaikissa niissä, jotka arkista läksivät, mikä ikänänsä eläin se maassa on.
11 Y schal make my couenaunt with you, and ech fleisch schal no more be slayn of the watris of the greet flood, nethir the greet flood distriynge al erthe schal be more.
Ja teen minun liittoni teidän kanssanne: ettei tästedes enää pidä kaikkea lihaa hukutettaman vedenpaisumisella: ja ei pidä tästedes enää vedenpaisumus tuleman maata turmelemaan.
12 And God seide, This is the signe of boond of pees, which Y yyue bitwixe me and you, and to ech lyuynge soule which is with you, in to euerlastynge generaciouns.
Ja Jumala sanoi: tämä on sen liiton merkki, jonka minä annan minun ja teidän välillenne, ja joka elävän hengen välille teidän tykönänne, tästedes ijankaikkiseen.
13 Y schal sette my bowe in the cloudis, and it schal be a signe of boond of pees bitwixe me and erthe;
Minun kaareni minä olen pannut pilviin: sen pitää oleman liiton merkki, minun ja maan välillä.
14 and whanne Y schal hile heuene with cloudis, my bowe schal appere in the cloudis,
Ja koska niin tapahtuu, että minä tuotan pilven maan ylitse: niin pitää kaari pilvissä nähtämän.
15 and Y schal haue mynde of my boond of pees which Y made with you, and with ech soule lyuynge, that nurschith fleisch; and the watris of the greet flood schulen no more be to do awey al fleish.
Ja niin minä muistan minun liittoni, minun ja teidän välillänne, ja joka elävän hengen kaikkinaisessa lihassa; ettei enää vedenpaisumus pidä tuleman kaikkea lihaa hukuttamaan.
16 And my bowe schal be in the cloudis, and Y schal se it, and Y schal haue mynde of euerlastynge boond of pees, which is maad bitwixe God and man, and ech soul lyuynge of al fleisch which is on erthe.
Sentäden pitää kaaren pilvissä oleman, että minä katson sitä, ja muistan sen ijankaikkisen liiton Jumalan välillä ja joka elävän hengen, kaikkinaisessa lihassa, kuin maan päällä on.
17 And God seide to Noe, This schal be a signe of boond of pees, which Y made bitwixe me and ech fleisch on erthe.
Ja Jumala sanoi Noalle: tämä on sen liiton merkki, jonka minä olen tehnyt minun ja kaiken lihan välille maan päällä.
18 Therfore thei that yeden out of the schip weren Noe, Sem, Cham, and Japheth; forsothe Cham, thilke is the fadir of Chanaan.
Ja Noan pojat, jotka läksivät arkista, olivat Sem, Ham, ja Japhet. Ja Ham oli Kanaanin Isä.
19 These thre weren the sones of Noe, and al the kynde of men was sowun of hem on al erthe.
Nämä ovat kolme Noan poikaa, ja heistä ovat ne, jotka hajoitetut ovat kaikkeen maahan.
20 And Noe, an erthe tiliere, bigan to tile the erthe, and he plauntide a viner,
Ja Noa rupesi olemaan peltomiesnä, ja istutti viinamäen.
21 and he drank wyn, and was drunkun; and he was nakid, and lay in his tabernacle.
Ja hän joi viinaa; ja juopui ja makasi peittämättä majassansa.
22 And whanne Cham, the fadir of Chanaan, hadde seien this thing, that is, that the schameful membris of his fadir weren maad nakid, he telde to hise tweye britheren with out forth.
Koska Ham, Kanaanin Isä, näki hänen isänsä hävyn, sanoi hän sen molemmille veljillensä, jotka ulkona olivat.
23 And sotheli Sem and Jafeth puttiden a mentil on her schuldris, and thei yeden bacward, and hileden the schameful membris of her fadir, and her faces weren turned awei, and thei sien not the priuy membris of her fadir.
Niin otti Sem ja Japhet vaatteen, ja panivat molempain heidän hartioillensa, ja menivät seljittäin, ja peittivät isänsä hävyn. Ja heidän kasvonsa olivat käännetyt pois, niin etteivät he nähneet isänsä häpyä.
24 And forsothe Noe wakide of the wyn, and whanne he hadde lerned what thingis his lesse sone hadde do to hym,
Koska Noa heräsi viinastansa, ja sai tietää, mitä hänen nuorin poikansa hänelle tehnyt oli:
25 he seide, Cursid be the child Canaan, he schal be seruaunt of seruauntis to hise britheren.
Niin sanoi hän: kirottu olkoon Kanaan: olkoon hän orjain orja, hänen veljeinsä seassa.
26 And Noe seide, Blessid be the Lord God of Sem,
Ja vielä sanoi: Kiitetty olkoon Herra Semin Jumala, ja Kanaan olkoon hänen orjansa.
27 and Chanaan be the seruaunt to Sem; God alarge Jafeth, and dwelle in the tabernaclis of Sem, and Chanaan be seruaunt of hym.
Jumala levittäköön Japhetin, ja hän asukoon Semin majoissa, ja Kanaan olkoon hänen orjansa.
28 Forsothe Noe lyuede aftir the greet flood thre hundrid and fifti yeer;
Ja Noa eli, vedenpaisumisen jälkeen kolmesataa ja viisikymmentä ajastaikaa.
29 and alle the daies of hym weren fillid nyn hundrid and fifty yeer, and he was deed.
Ja koko Noan ikä oli yhdeksänsataa ja viisikymmentä ajastaikaa, ja kuoli.
