Genesis 5
1 This is the book of generacioun of Adam, in the dai wher ynne God made man of nouyt. God made man to the ymage and licnesse of God;
Este es el registro de los descendientes de Adán. Cuando Dios creó a los seres humanos, los hizo semejantes a él.
2 God formede hem male and female, and blesside hem, and clepide the name of hem Adam, in the day in which thei weren formed.
Los creó varón y hembra, y los bendijo. El día que los creó, los llamó “humanos”.
3 Forsothe Adam lyuede an hundrid yeer and thretti, and gendride a sone to his ymage and liknesse, and clepide his name Seth.
Cuando Adán cumplió la edad de 130 años, tuvo un hijo semejante a él, hecho a su imagen, y le puso el nombre de Set.
4 And the daies of Adam after that he gendride Seth weren maad eiyte hundrid yeer, and he gendride sones and douytris.
Después del nacimiento de Set, Adán vivió 800 años más, y tuvo más hijos e hijas.
5 And al the tyme in which Adam lyuede was maad nyne hundrid yeer and thretti, and he was deed.
Y Adán vivió en total 930 años, y entonces murió.
6 Also Seth lyuede an hundrid and fyue yeer, and gendride Enos.
Cuando Set cumplió la edad de 105 años, tuvo a Enoc.
7 And Seth lyuede aftir that he gendride Enos eiyte hundrid and seuen yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Después del nacimiento de Enoc, Set vivió 807 años más, y tuvo más hijos e hijas.
8 And alle the daies of Seth weren maad nyne hundrid and twelue yeer, and he was deed.
Enós vivió en total 912 años, y entonces murió.
9 Forsothe Enos lyuede nynti yeer, and gendride Caynan;
Cuando Enós cumplió la edad de 90 años, tuvo a Cainán.
10 aftir whos birthe Enos lyuede eiyte hundrid and fiftene yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Después del Nacimiento de Cainán, Enoc vivió 815 años más y tuvo más hijos e hijas.
11 And alle the daies of Enos weren maad nyne hundrid and fyue yeer, and he was deed.
Enoc vivió en total 905 ños y entonces murió.
12 Also Caynan lyuyde seuenti yeer, and gendride Malalehel.
Cuando Cainán cumplió la edad de 70 años, tuvo a Malalel.
13 And Caynan lyuede after that he gendride Malalehel eiyte hundrid and fourti yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Después del Nacimiento de Malalel, Cainán vivió 840 años más, y tuvo más hijos e hijas.
14 And alle the dayes of Caynan weren maad nyn hundrid and ten yeer, and he was deed.
Y Cainán vivió en total 910 años, y entonces murió.
15 Forsothe Malalehel lyuede sixti yeer and fyue, and gendride Jared.
Cuando Malalel cumplió la edad de 65 años, tuvo a Jared.
16 And Malalehel lyuede aftir that he gendride Jared eiyte hundrid and thretti yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Y después del Nacimiento de Jared, Malalel vivió 830 años más y tuvo más hijos e hijas.
17 And alle the daies of Malalehel weren maad eiyte hundrid nynti and fyue yeer, and he was deed.
Y Malalel vivió en total 895 años, y entonces murió.
18 And Jared lyuede an hundrid and two and sixti yeer, and gendride Enoth.
Cuando Jared cumplió la edad de 162 años, tuvo a Enoc.
19 And Jared lyuede aftir that he gendride Enoth eiyte hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Después del Nacimiento de Enoc, Jared vivió 800 años más y tuvo más hijos e hijas.
20 And alle the dayes of Jared weren maad nyn hundrid and twei and sexti yeer, and he was deed.
Y Jared vivió en total 962 años, y entonces murió.
21 Forsothe Enoth lyuede fyue and sixti yeer, and gendride Matusalem.
Cuando Enoc cumplió 65 años, tuvo a Matusalén.
22 And Enoth yede with God; and Enoth lyuede after that he gendride Matusalem thre hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Y Enoc tuvo una relación muy estrecha con Dios. Después del nacimiento de Matusalén, Enoc vivió 300 años más y tuvo más hijos e hijas.
23 And alle the daies of Enoth weren maad thre hundride and fyue and sexti yeer.
Y Enoc vivió en total 365 años.
24 And Enoth yeed with God, and apperide not afterward, for God took hym awei.
Pero Enoc tenía una relación tan estrecha con Dios que no murió, sino que desapareció porque Dios se lo llevó.
25 Also Matusalem lyuede an hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and seuene, and gendride Lameth.
Cuando Matusalén cumplió la edad de 187 años, tuvo a Lamec.
26 And Matusalem lyuede after that he gendride Lameth seuene hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and twei, and gendride sones and douytris.
Después del Nacimiento de Lamec, Matusalén vivió 782 años más y tuvo más hijos e hijas.
27 And alle the daies of Matusale weren maad nyn hundrid and nyn and sixti yeer, and he was deed.
Y Maturalén vivió en total 969 años, y entonces murió.
28 Forsothe Lameth lyuede an hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and two, and gendride a sone;
Cuando Lamec cumplió 182 años, tuvo un hijo.
29 and clepide his name Noe, and seide, This man schal comforte vs of the werkis and traueilis of oure hondis, in the loond which the Lord curside.
Y le puso por nombre Noé, con la explicación “Él nos dará alivio del arduo trabajo que debemos hacer para cultivar la tierra que el Señor maldijo”.
30 And Lameth lyuede after that he gendride Noe fyue hundrid `nynti and fyue yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
Después del Nacimiento de Noé, Lamec vivió 595 años más y tuvo más hijos e hijas.
31 And alle the daies of Lameth weren maad seuene hundrid `thre scoor and seuentene yeer, and he was deed.
Y Lamec vivió en total 777 años, y entonces murió.
32 Forsothe Noe whanne he was of fyue hundrid yeer gendride Sem, Cham, and Jafeth.
Noé vivió 500 años antes de tener a Sem, Cam y Jafet.
