Genesis 47
1 Therfor Joseph entride, and telde to Farao, and seide, My fadir and brethren, the scheep and grete beestis of hem, and alle thingis whiche thei welden, camen fro the lond of Canaan; and lo! thei stonden in the lond of Gessen.
Tedy przyjechawszy Józef, oznajmił Faraonowi, i rzekł: Ojciec mój i bracia moi z owcami swemi, i z wołami swymi, i ze wszystkiem, co mają, przyjechali z ziemi Chananejskiej; a oto, są w ziemi Gosen.
2 And he ordeynede fyue, the laste men of hise britheren, bifore the kyng,
A z liczby braci swej wziął pięciu mężów, i postawił je przed Faraonem.
3 whiche he axide, What werk han ye? Thei answeriden, We thi seruauntis ben kepers of scheep, bothe we and oure faderis;
I rzekł Farao do braci jego: Czem się bawicie? A oni odpowiedzieli Faraonowi: Pasterzami owiec są słudzy twoi, i my i ojcowie nasi.
4 we camen in to thi lond to be pilgrymys, for noo gras is to the flockis of thi seruauntis; hungur wexith greuouse in the lond of Canaan, and we axen that thou comaunde vs thi seruauntis to be in the lond of Gessen.
Rzekli jeszcze do Faraona: Abyśmy byli przychodniami w tej ziemi, przyszliśmy; bo nie masz paszy dla bydła, które mają słudzy twoi, gdyż ciężki głód jest w ziemi Chananejskiej; a teraz niech mieszkają, prosimy, słudzy twoi w ziemi Gosen.
5 And so the kyng seide to Joseph, Thi fadir and thi britheren camen to thee;
Tedy rzekł Farao do Józefa mówiąc: Ojciec twój i bracia twoi przyjechali do ciebie;
6 the lond of Egipt is in thi siyt, make thou hem to dwelle in the beste place, and yyue thou to hem the lond of Gessen; that if thou woost that witti men ben in hem, ordeyne thou hem maystris of my beestis.
Ziemia Egipska przed tobą jest: w najlepszem miejscu tej ziemi daj mieszkanie ojcu twemu i braci twojej, niech mieszkają w ziemi Gosen; a zrozumieszli, że są między nimi mężowie godni, tedy je uczynisz przełożonymi nad trzodami memi.
7 After these thingis Joseph brouyte in his fader to the king, and settide him bifor the king, which blesside the king;
I przywiódł Józef Jakóba, ojca swego, i postawił go przed Faraonem; a błogosławił Jakób Faraonowi.
8 and he was axid of the king, Hou many ben the daies of the yeeris of thi lijf?
Tedy rzekł Farao do Jakóba: Wiele jest dni lat żywota twego?
9 And he answeride, The daies of pilgrymage of my lijf, ben feewe and yuele, of an hundrid and thretti yeer, and tho `camen not til to the daies of my fadris, in whiche thei weren pilgryms.
I odpowiedział Jakób Faraonowi: Dni lat pielgrzymstwa mego jest sto i trzydzieści lat; krótkie i złe były dni lat żywota mego, i nie doszły dni lat żywota ojców moich, w których dniach oni pielgrzymowali.
10 And whanne he hadde blessid the kyng, he yede out.
Zatem pobłogosławiwszy Jakób Faraonowi, wyszedł od oblicza Faraonowego.
11 Forsothe Joseph yaf to hise fadir and britheren possessioun in Egipt, in Ramasses, the beste soile of erthe, as Farao comaundide;
Tedy dał mieszkanie Józef ojcu swemu i braci swej, i dał im osiadłość w ziemi Egipskiej, w najlepszem miejscu onej krainy, w ziemi Rameses, jako był rozkazał Farao.
12 and he fedde hem, and al the hows of his fadir, and yaf metis to alle.
I żywił Józef ojca swego i bracią swoję, i wszystek dom ojca swego chlebem aż do najmniejszego.
13 For breed failide in al the world, and hungur oppresside the lond, moost of Egipt and of Canaan;
A chleba nie było po wszystkiej ziemi; bo ciężki bardzo był głód, i utrapiona była ziemia Egipska, i ziemia Chananejska od głodu.
14 of whiche londis he gaderide al the money for the sillyng of wheete, and brouyte it in to the `tresorie of the kyng.
Tedy zebrał Józef wszystkie pieniądze, które się znajdowały w ziemi Egipskiej i w ziemi Chananejskiej, za żywność, którą kupowano; i wniósł one pieniądze Józef do skarbu Faraonowego.
15 And whanne prijs failide to the bieris, al Egipt cam to Joseph, and seide, Yyue thou `looues to vs; whi shulen we die bifore thee, while monei failith?
A gdy nie stało pieniędzy w ziemi Egipskiej, i w ziemi Chananejskiej, tedy przyszli wszyscy Egipczanie do Józefa, mówiąc: Daj nam chleba, i czemuż mamy umierać przed tobą, gdyż nam już nie staje pieniędzy?

Na to odpowiedział Józef: Dawajcie bydła wasze, a dam wam żywności za bydła wasze, ponieważ wam nie stało pieniędzy.
17 And whanne thei hadden brouyt tho, he yaf to hem metis for horsis, and scheep, and oxun, and assis; and he susteynede hem in that yeer for the chaungyng of beestis.
I przygnali bydła swe do Józefa; i dał im Józef chleba za konie, i za stada owiec, i za stada wołów, i za osły, i przechował je chlebem za wszystkie bydła ich, onego roku.
18 And thei camen in the secunde yeer, and seiden to hym, We helen not fro oure lord, that the while monei failith, also beestis failiden togidere, nether it is hid fro thee, that with out bodies and lond we han no thing;
A gdy wyszedł rok on, przyszli do niego roku drugiego, mówiąc mu: Nie zatajemy przed panem naszym, że nam już pieniędzy nie stało, i stada bydeł są u pana naszego; nie zostawa nam przed panem naszym, tylko ciała nasze i role nasze.
19 whi therfor schulen we die, while thou seest? bothe we and oure lond schulen be thine, bie thou vs in to the kyngis seruage, and yyue thou seedis, lest the while the tiliere perischith, the lond be turned in to wildirnesse.
A czemuż umierać mamy przed oczyma twemi? i nas, i role nasze kupuj i ziemię naszę za chleb, a będziemy, my i ziemia nasza, w niewoli u Faraona; tylko nam daj nasienia, abyśmy żyli a nie pomarli, i ziemia nie spustoszała.
20 Therfor Joseph bouyte al the lond of Egipt, while all men seelden her possessiouns, for the greetnesse of hungur;
A tak kupił Józef wszystkę ziemię Egipską Faraonowi; bo sprzedali Egipczanie, każdy rolą swoję, gdyż się był wzmógł między nimi głód; i dostała się Faraonowi wszystka ziemia.
21 and he made it and alle puplis therof suget to Farao, fro the laste termes of Egipt til to the laste endis therof,
I przeniósł lud do miast, od ostatnich granic Egiptu aż do końca jego.
22 outakun the lond of preestis, that was youun of the kyng to hem, to whiche preestis also metis weren youun of the comun bernys, and therfor thei weren not compellid to sille her possessiouns.
Tylko ziemi kapłańskiej nie kupił; bo kapłani mieli obrok postanowiony od Faraona, i żywili się obrokiem swym, który im dał Farao; dlategoż nie sprzedawali ziemi swej.
23 Therfor Joseph seide to the puplis, Lo! as ye seen, Farao weldith bothe you and youre lond; take ye seedis, and `sowe ye feeldis,
I rzekł Józef do ludu: Otom was teraz poskupował i ziemię waszę Faraonowi; otóż macie nasienie, posiejcież tedy role.
24 that ye moun haue fruytis; ye schulen yyue the fifthe part to the kyng; Y suffre to you the foure residue partis in to seed and in to meetis, to you, and to youre fre children.
A z urodzajów waszych będziecie dawali piątą część Faraonowi; cztery zasię części będą wam na zasianie roli, i na żywność waszę i tych, którzy są w domach waszych, i na żywność dziatek waszych.
25 Whiche answeriden, Oure helthe is in thin hond; oneli oure God biholde vs, and we schulen ioifuli serue the kyng.
Tedy odpowiedzieli: Zachowałeś żywot nasz; niechże znajdziemy łaskę w oczach pana swego, i będziemy niewolnikami Faraonowymi.
26 For that tyme til in to present dai, in al the lond of Egipt, the fyuethe part is paied to the kyngis, and it is maad as in to a lawe, with out the lond of preestis, that was fre fro this condicioun.
I postanowił to Józef za prawo aż do dnia dzisiejszego w ziemi Egipskiej, aby dawana była Faraonowi piąta część; tylko ziemia samych kapłanów nie dostała się Faraonowi.
27 Therfor Israel dwellide in Egipt, that is, in the lond of Jessen, and weldide it; and he was encreessid and multiplied ful mych.
I mieszkał Izrael w ziemi Egipskiej, w ziemi Gosen, i osadziwszy się w niej, rozrodzili się, i rozmnożyli się wielce.
28 And he lyuede therynne sixtene yeer; and alle the daies of his lijf weren maad of an hundrid and seuene and fourti yeer.
I żył Jakób w ziemi Egipskiej siedemnaście lat; a było dni Jakóbowych, lat żywota jego, sto czterdzieści i siedem lat.
29 And whanne he seiy the dai of deeth nyye, he clepide his sone Joseph, and seide to hym, If Y haue founde grace in thi siyt; putte thin hond vndur myn hipe, and thou schal do merci and treuthe to me, that thou birie not me in Egipt;
I przybliżyły się dni Izraelowe, aby umarł; i wezwał syna swego Józefa i rzekł do niego: Jeźlim teraz znalazł łaskę w oczach twoich, połóż proszę rękę twoję pod biodro moje, a uczyń ze mną miłosierdzie i prawdę; proszę nie chowaj mię w Egipcie;
30 but `Y schal slepe with my fadris, and take thou awey me fro this lond, and birie in the sepulcre of my grettere. To whom Joseph answeride, Y schal do that that thou comaundist.
Ale gdy zasnę z ojcy moimi, wyniesiesz mię z Egiptu, a pochowasz mię w grobie ich. A on rzekł: Uczynię według słowa twego.
31 And Israel seide, Therfor swere thou to me; and whanne Joseph swoor, Israel turnede to the heed of the bed, and worschipide God.
A Jakób rzekł: Przysiążże mi: i przysiągł mu. Zatem nakłonił się Izrael ku głowom łoża.
