Genesis 46
1 And Israel yede forth with alle thingis that he hadde, and he cam to the pit of ooth; and whanne sacrifices weren slayn there to God of his fadir Isaac,
Israël donc partit avec tout ce qui lui appartenait, et vint à Béer-Sébah, et il offrit des sacrifices au Dieu de son père Isaac.
2 he herde God bi a visioun in that nyyt clepynge hym, `and seiynge to hym, Jacob! Jacob! To whom he answeride, Lo! Y am present.
Et Dieu parla à Israël dans les visions de la nuit, en disant: Jacob, Jacob! Et il répondit: Me voici.
3 God seide to hym, Y am the strongeste God of thi fadir; nyle thou drede, go doun in to Egipt, for Y schal make thee there in to a greet folk;
Et [Dieu lui] dit: Je suis le [Dieu] Fort, le Dieu de ton père; ne crains point de descendre en Egypte: car je t'y ferai devenir une grande nation.
4 Y schal go doun thidir with thee, and Y schal brynge thee turnynge ayen fro thennus, and Joseph schal sette his hond on thin iyen.
Je descendrai avec toi en Egypte, et je t'en ferai aussi très-certainement remonter; et Joseph mettra sa main sur tes yeux.
5 Jacob roos fro the pit of ooth, and the sones token him, with her litle children, and wyues, in the waynes whiche Farao hadde sent to bere the eld man,
Ainsi Jacob partit de Béer-Sébah, et les enfants d'Israël mirent Jacob leur père, et leurs petits enfants, et leurs femmes, sur les chariots que Pharaon avait envoyés pour le porter.
6 and alle thingis whiche he weldide in the lond of Canaan; and he cam in to Egipt with his seed,
Ils emmenèrent aussi leur bétail et leur bien qu'ils avaient acquis dans le pays de Canaan; et Jacob et toute sa famille avec lui vinrent en Egypte.
7 hise sones, and her sones, and douytris, and al the generacioun togidere.
Il amena donc avec lui en Egypte ses enfants, et les enfants de ses enfants, ses filles, et les filles de ses fils, et toute sa famille.
8 Forsothe thes ben the names of the sones of Israel, that entriden in to Egipte; he with hise fre children. The firste gendrid Ruben;
Or ce sont ici les noms des enfants d'Israël, qui vinrent en Egypte: Jacob et ses enfants. Le premier-né de Jacob, fut Ruben.
9 the sones of Ruben, Enoch, and Fallu, and Esrom, and Carmi.
Et les enfants de Ruben, Hénoc, Pallu, Hetsron, et Carmi.
10 The sones of Symeon, Jemuhel, and Jamyn, and Ahoth, and Jachyn, and Sab, and Saber, and Saul, the sone of a womman of Canaan.
Et les enfants de Siméon, Jémuel, Jamin, Ohab, Jakin, Tsohar, et Saül, fils d'une Cananéenne.
11 The sones of Leuy, Gerson, Caath, and Merarie.
Et les enfants de Lévi, Guerson, Kéhath, et Mérari.
12 The sones of Juda, Her and Onam, and Sela, and Fares, and Zara. Forsothe Her and Onam dieden in the lond of Canaan; and the sones of Fares weren borun, Esrom, and Amul.
Et les enfants de Juda, Her, Onan, Séla, Pharez, et Zara; mais Her et Onan moururent au pays de Canaan. Les enfants de Pharez furent Hetsron et Hamul.
13 The sones of Isacar, Thola, and Fua, and Jobab, and Semron.
Et les enfants d'Issacar, Tolah, Puva, Job, et Simron.
14 The sones of Zabulon, Sared, and Thelom, and Jahel.
Et les enfants de Zabulon, Séred, Elon, et Jahléel.
15 These ben the sones of Lia, whiche sche childide in Mesopotanye of Sirie, with Dyna, hir douyter; alle the soules of hise sones and douytris, thre and thretti.
Ce sont là les enfants de Léa, qu'elle enfanta à Jacob en Paddan-Aram, avec Dina sa fille; toutes les personnes de ses fils et de ses filles furent trente-trois.
16 The sones of Gad, Sefion, and Aggi, Suny, and Hesebon, Heri, and Arodi, and Areli.
Et les enfants de Gad, Tsiphjon, Haggi, Suni, Etsbon, Héri, Arodi, et Aréli.
17 The sones of Aser, Jamne, and Jesua, and Jesui, and Beria; and Sara, the sister of hem. The sones of Beria, Heber and Melchiel.
Et les enfants d'Aser, Jimna, Jisua, Jisui, Bériha, et Sérah, leur sœur. Les enfants de Bériha, Héber et Malkiel.
18 These weren the sones of Zelfa, whom Laban yaf to Lia, his douyter, and Jacob gendryde these sixtene persones.
Ce [sont] là les enfants de Zilpa que Laban donna à Léa sa fille; et elle les enfanta à Jacob, [savoir], seize personnes.
19 The sones of Rachel, `wijf of Jacob, weren Joseph and Beniamyn.
Les enfants de Rachel femme de Jacob, [furent] Joseph et Benjamin.
20 And sones weren borun to Joseph in the loond of Egipt, Manasses and Effraym, whiche Asenech, `douytir of Putifar, preest of Helipoleos, childide to hym.
Et il naquit à Joseph au pays d'Egypte, Manassé et Ephraïm, qu'Asenath fille de Potiphérah, Gouverneur d'On, lui enfanta.
21 The sones of Beniamin weren Bela, and Becor, and Asbel, Gera, and Naaman, and Jechi, `Ros, and Mofym, and Ofym, and Ared.
Et les enfants de Benjamin étaient Bélah, Béker, Asbel, Guéra, Nahaman, Ehi, Ros, Muppim, et Huppim, et Ard.
22 These weren the sones of Rachel, whiche Jacob gendride; alle the persones weren fouretene.
Ce sont là les enfants de Rachel, qu'elle enfanta à Jacob; en tout quatorze personnes.
23 The sone of Dan, Vsym.
Et les enfants de Dan, Husim.
24 The sones of Neptalym, Jasiel, and Guny, and Jeser, and Salem.
Et les enfants de Nephthali, Jahtséel, Guni, Jetser, et Sillem.
25 These weren `the sones of Bala, whom Laban yaf to Rachel his douytir.
Ce sont là les enfants de Bilha, laquelle Laban donna à Rachel sa fille, et elle les enfanta à Jacob; en tout, sept personnes.
26 And Jacob gendride these; alle the soules weren seuene. And alle the men that entriden with Jacob in to Egipt, and yeden out of his thiy, with out `the wyues of his sones, weren sixti and sixe.
Toutes les personnes appartenant à Jacob qui vinrent en Egypte, et qui étaient sorties de sa hanche, sans les femmes des enfants de Jacob, furent en tout soixante-six.
27 Forsothe the sones of Joseph, that weren borun to hym in `the loond of Egipt, weren two men. Alle the soulis of `the hows of Jacob, that entriden in to Egipt, weren seuenti.
Et les enfants de Joseph qui lui étaient nés en Egypte, furent deux personnes. Toutes les personnes [donc] de la maison de Jacob qui vinrent en Egypte, furent soixante-dix.
28 Forsothe Jacob sente Judas bifore hym to Joseph, that he schulde telle to hym, and he schulde `come in to Gessen.
Or [Jacob] envoya Juda devant lui vers Joseph, pour l'avertir de venir au-devant de lui en Goscen. Ils vinrent donc dans la contrée de Goscen.
29 And whanne Jacob hadde come thidir, Joseph stiede in his chare to mete his fadir at the same place. And he siy Jacob, and felde on `his necke, and wepte bitwixe collyngis.
Et Joseph fit atteler son chariot, et monta pour aller au-devant d'Israël son père en Goscen. Il se fit voir à lui; il se jeta sur son cou, et pleura quelque temps sur son cou.
30 And the fadir seide to Joseph, Now Y schal die ioiful, for Y siy thi face, and Y leeue thee lyuynge.
Et Israël dit à Joseph: Que je meure à présent, puisque j'ai vu ton visage, et que tu vis encore.
31 And Joseph spak to hise brithren, and to al `the hows of his fadir, I schal stie, and `Y schal telle to Farao, and Y schal seie to hym, My britheren, and the hows of my fadir, that weren in the lond of Canaan, ben comun to me,
Puis Joseph dit à ses frères et à la famille de son père: Je remonterai, et ferai savoir à Pharaon, et je lui dirai: Mes frères et la famille de mon père, qui [étaient] au pays de Canaan, sont venus vers moi.
32 and thei ben men kepers of scheep, and han bisynesse of flockis to be fed; thei brouyten with hem her scheep and grete beestis, and alle thingis whiche thei miyten haue.
Et ces hommes sont bergers, et se sont [toujours] mêlés de bétail, et ils ont amené leurs brebis et leurs bœufs, et tout ce qui était à eux.
33 And whanne Farao schal clepe you, and schal seie, What is youre werk?
Or il arrivera que Pharaon vous fera appeler, et vous dira: Quel est votre métier?
34 ye schulen answere, We ben thi seruauntis, men scheepherdis, fro oure childhed til in to present tyme, bothe we and oure fadris. Sotheli ye schulen seye these thingis, that ye moun dwelle in the lond of Gessen, for Egipcians wlaten alle keperis of scheep.
Et vous direz: Tes serviteurs se sont [toujours] mêlés de bétail dès leur jeunesse jusqu'à maintenant, tant nous, que nos pères; afin que vous demeuriez en la contrée de Goscen; car les Egyptiens ont en abomination les bergers.
