Genesis 4
1 Forsothe Adam knewe Eue his wijf, which conseyuede, and childide Cayn, and seide, Y haue gete a man bi God.
ಆದಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಹವ್ವಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲು, ಆಕೆಯು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿ, ಕಾಯಿನನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತು, “ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಗಂಡು ಮಗುವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.
2 And efte sche childide his brother Abel. Forsothe Abel was a kepere of scheep, and Cayn was an erthe tilyere.
ಅನಂತರ ಆಕೆಯು ಅವನ ತಮ್ಮನಾದ ಹೇಬೆಲನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು. ಹೇಬೆಲನು ಕುರಿ ಕಾಯುವವನಾದನು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಯಿನನು ವ್ಯವಸಾಯ ಮಾಡುವವನಾದನು.
3 Sotheli it was don after many daies, that Cayn offride yiftis to the Lord of the fruytis of erthe;
ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಾಲದ ತರುವಾಯ, ಕಾಯಿನನು ಹೊಲದ ಬೆಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವನ್ನು ತಂದು, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
4 and Abel offride of the first gendrid of his floc, and of the fatnesse of tho. And the Lord bihelde to Abel and to the yiftis of hym;
ಹೇಬೆಲನು ಸಹ ತನ್ನ ಹಿಂಡಿನಿಂದ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಕೊಬ್ಬನ್ನೂ ತಂದನು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಬೆಲನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.
5 sotheli he bihelde not to Cayn and to hise yiftis. And Cayn was wrooth greetli, and his cheer felde doun.
ಆದರೆ ಕಾಯಿನನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ದೇವರು ಮೆಚ್ಚಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕಾಯಿನನು ಬಹು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡನು. ಅವನ ಮುಖವು ಬಾಡಿತು.
6 And the Lord seide to hym, Whi art thou wrooth, and whi felde doun thi face?
ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಕಾಯಿನನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇಕೆ? ಏಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಖವು ಬಾಡಿದೆ?
7 Whether not if thou schalt do wel, thou schalt resseyue; but if thou doist yuele, thi synne schal be present anoon in the yatis? but the desir therof schal be vndur thee, and thou schalt be lord therof.
ನೀನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ನೀನು ಸ್ವೀಕಾರವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ? ನೀನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡದೆ ಹೋದರೆ, ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಪವು ಹೊಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಅದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನುಂಗಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೂ ನೀನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
8 And Cayn seide to Abel his brother, Go we out. And whanne thei weren in the feeld, Cayn roos ayens his brother Abel, and killide him.
ಅನಂತರ ಕಾಯಿನನು, “ಅಡವಿಗೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಬಾ,” ಎಂದು ತನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಕಾಯಿನನು ತನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೇಬೆಲನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿಮಾಡಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದನು.
9 And the Lord seide to Cayn, Where is Abel thi brother? Which answerde, Y woot not; whether Y am the kepere of my brothir?
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಕಾಯಿನನನ್ನು, “ನಿನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೇಬೆಲನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು, ಅವನು, “ನಾನರಿಯೆ. ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವವನೋ?” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
10 And God seide to Cayn, What hast thou do? the vois of the blood of thi brother crieth to me fro erthe.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, “ನೀನು ಏನು ಮಾಡಿದೆ? ನಿನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನ ರಕ್ತವು ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೂಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
11 Now therfor thou schalt be cursid on erthe, that openyde his mouth, and resseyuede of thin hond the blood of thi brothir.
ನೀನು ಈಗ ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದಿ. ನೀನು ಸುರಿಸಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲು ಬಾಯಿತೆರೆದಿರುವ ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರವಾಗಿದ್ದಿ.
12 Whanne thou schalt worche the erthe, it schal not yyue his fruytis to thee; thou schalt be vnstable of dwellyng and fleynge aboute on erthe in alle the daies of thi lijf.
ನೀನು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯವಸಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಅದು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಫಲಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನೀನು ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆಮಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗುವವನು ಆಗಿರುವೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
13 And Cayn seide to the Lord, My wickidnesse is more than that Y disserue foryyuenesse; lo!
ಆಗ ಕಾಯಿನನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯು ತಾಳಲಾರದಷ್ಟು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿದೆ.
14 to dai thou castist me out fro the face of the erthe; and Y schal be hid fro thi face, and Y schal be vnstable of dwellyng and fleynge aboute in erthe; therfore ech man that schal fynde me schal slee me.
ಇಗೋ, ನೀವು ಈ ದಿನ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವದೇಶದಿಂದ ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಲ್ಲಾ! ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ನಾನು ಮರೆಯಾಗಿರಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆಮಾರಿಯಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಂಡವರು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವರು,” ಎಂದನು.
15 And the Lord seide to hym, It schal not be don so, but ech man that schal slee Cayn shal be punyschid seuenfold. And the Lord settide a signe in Cayn, that ech man that schulde fynde hym schulde not slee hym.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ, ಕಾಯಿನನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಏಳರಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರತೀಕಾರವಿರುವುದು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಕಾಯಿನನನ್ನು ಕಂಡವರು ಕೊಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಂದು ಗುರುತನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟರು.
16 And Cayn yede out fro the face of the Lord, and dwellide fleynge aboute in erthe, at the eest coost of Eden.
ಆಗ ಕಾಯಿನನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ, ಏದೆನ್ ಸೀಮೆಗೆ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನೋದು ಎಂಬ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದನು.
17 Forsothe Cayn knewe his wiif, which conseyuede, and childide Enoth; and Cayn bildide a citee, and clepide the name therof of the name of hise sone Enoth.
ಕಾಯಿನನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲು, ಅವಳು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿ ಹನೋಕನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಳು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಾಯಿನನು ಒಂದು ಊರನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹನೋಕ್ ಎಂದು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನಿಟ್ಟನು.
18 Forsothe Enoth gendride Irad, and Irad gendride Manyael, and Manyael gendride Matusael, and Matusael gendride Lameth;
ಹನೋಕನಿಂದ ಈರಾದನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದನು. ಈರಾದನಿಂದ ಮೆಹೂಯಾಯೇಲನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದನು. ಮೆಹೂಯಾಯೇಲನಿಂದ ಮೆತೂಷಾಯೇಲನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದನು. ಮೆತೂಷಾಯೇಲನಿಂದ ಲೆಮೆಕನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದನು.
19 that took twei wyues, the name to o wijf was Ada, and the name to the tother was Sella.
ಲೆಮೆಕನು ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾದನು. ಒಬ್ಬಳ ಹೆಸರು ಆದಾ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬಳ ಹೆಸರು ಚಿಲ್ಲಾ.
20 And Ada gendride Jabel, that was the fadir of dwellers in tentis and of shepherdis;
ಆದಾಳು ಯಾಬಾಲನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು. ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಕುತ್ತಾ, ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೂಲಪುರುಷನು ಇವನೇ.
21 and the name of his brother was Tubal, he was the fadir of syngeris in harpe and orgun.
ಇವನ ತಮ್ಮನ ಹೆಸರು ಯೂಬಾಲನು. ಇವನು ಕಿನ್ನರಿ ಕೊಳಲುಗಳನ್ನು ನುಡಿಸುವವರ ಮೂಲಪುರುಷನು.
22 And Sella gendride Tubalcayn, that was an hamerbetere, and smyyt on alle werkis of bras and of yrun; forsothe the sistir of Tubalcayn was Neoma.
ಚಿಲ್ಲಾ ತೂಬಲ್ ಕಾಯಿನನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಳು. ಅವನು ಕಂಚು ಮತ್ತು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ತೂಬಲ್ ಕಾಯಿನನ ತಂಗಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ನಯಮಾ.
23 And Lameth seide to his wyues Ada and Sella, Ye wyues of Lameth, here my vois, and herkne my word; for Y haue slayn a man bi my wounde, and a yong wexynge man bi my `violent betyng;
ಲೆಮೆಕನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆಂದನು: “ಆದಾ, ಚಿಲ್ಲಾ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ. ಲೆಮೆಕನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರೇ, ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿರಿ. ನನಗೆ ಗಾಯಮಾಡಿದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದೆನು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದ ಯುವಕನನ್ನು ಹತ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು.
24 veniaunce schal be youun seuenfold of Cayn, forsothe of Lameth seuentisithis seuensithis.
ಕಾಯಿನನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದವನಿಗೆ ಏಳರಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರತೀಕಾರವಾದರೆ, ಲೆಮೆಕನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯುವವನಿಗೆ, ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತೇಳರಷ್ಟಾಗುವುದು.”
25 Also yit Adam knewe his wijf, and sche childide a sone, and clepide his name Seth, and seide, God hath put to me another seed for Abel, whom Cayn killide.
ಆದಾಮನು ತಿರುಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲು, ಆಕೆ ಗಂಡು ಮಗುವನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತು, “ಕಾಯಿನನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದ ಹೇಬೆಲನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ, ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು,” ಎಂದು ಆ ಮಗುವಿಗೆ, ಸೇತ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಳು.
26 But also a sone was borun to Seth, which sone he clepide Enos; this Enos bigan to clepe inwardli the name of the Lord.
ಸೇತನಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಎನೋಷ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು. ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು, ಯೆಹೋವ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು.
