Genesis 36
1 Forsothe these ben the generaciouns of Esau; he is Edom.
Or, voici les descendants d'Ésaü, qui est Édom.
2 Esau took wyues of the douytris of Canaan, Ada, the douytir of Elom Ethey, and Oolibama, the douyter of Ana, sone of Sebeon Euey; also Bathsemath,
Ésaü prit ses femmes parmi les filles de Canaan: Ada, fille d'Élon, le Héthien, et Oholibama, fille d'Ana, fille de Tsibeon, le Hévien.
3 the douytir of Ismael, the sistir of Nabioth.
Il prit aussi Basmath, fille d'Ismaël, sœur de Nébajoth.
4 Forsothe Ada childide Elifath; Batsemath childide Rahuel; Oolibama childide Hieus,
Ada enfanta à Ésaü Éliphaz, et Basmath enfanta Réuël.
5 and Hielon, and Chore. These weren the sones of Esau, that weren borun to hym in the lond of Canaan.
Et Oholibama enfanta Jéush, Jaelam et Korah. Voilà les fils d'Ésaü, qui lui naquirent au pays de Canaan.
6 Sotheli Esau took hise wyues, and sones, and douytris, and ech soule of his hows, and catel, and scheep, and alle thingis whiche he `myyte haue in the lond of Canaan, and yede into anothir cuntrey, and departide fro his brother Jacob; for thei weren ful riche,
Et Ésaü prit ses femmes, et ses fils et ses filles, et toutes les personnes de sa maison, et ses troupeaux, et tout son bétail, et tout le bien qu'il avait acquis au pays de Canaan; et il s'en alla dans un autre pays, loin de Jacob, son frère.
7 and thei miyten not dwelle to gidere, and the erthe of her pilgrymage susteynede not hem, for the multitude of flockis.
Car leurs biens étaient trop grands pour qu'ils pussent demeurer ensemble, et le pays où ils séjournaient ne pouvait pas les contenir, à cause de leurs troupeaux.
8 And Esau dwellide in the hil of Seir; he is Edom.
Et Ésaü habita sur la montagne de Séir. Ésaü est Édom.
9 Forsothe these weren the generaciouns of Esau, fader of Edom,
Et voici les descendants d'Ésaü, père des Iduméens, sur la montagne de Séir.
10 in the hil of Seir, and these weren the names of hise sones. Elifath, sone of Ada, `wijf of Esau; also Rahuel sone of Bathsemath, `wijf of hym.
Voici les noms des fils d'Ésaü: Éliphaz, fils d'Ada, femme d'Ésaü; Réuël, fils de Basmath, femme d'Ésaü.
11 And the sones of Elifath weren, Theman, Emath, Sephu, and Gathan, and Ceneth, and Chore.
Et les fils d'Éliphaz furent Théman, Omar, Tsépho et Gaetham et Kénaz.
12 Forsothe Tanna was the secundarie wijf of Elifath, `sone of Esau, whiche Tanna childide to hym Amalech. These weren the sones of Ada, `wijf of Esau.
Et Thimna fut concubine d'Éliphaz, fils d'Ésaü, et enfanta Amalek à Éliphaz. Voilà les fils d'Ada, femme d'Ésaü.
13 Forsothe the sones of Rahuel weren, Naath, and Zara, and Semna, and Meza. These weren the sones of Bathsemath, `wijf of Esau.
Et voici les fils de Réuël: Nahath et Zérach, Shamma et Mizza. Ce furent là les fils de Basmath, femme d'Ésaü.
14 And these weren the sones of Oolibama, douyter of Ana, sone of Sebeon, `wijf of Esau, whiche sche childide to hym; Hieus, and Hielon, and Chore.
Et ceux-ci furent les fils d'Oholibama, fille d'Ana, fille de Tsibeon, et femme d'Ésaü: elle enfanta à Ésaü Jéush, Jaelam et Korah.
15 These weren the dukis of the sones of Esau; the sones of Elifath first gendrid of Esau, duk Theman, duyk Omar,
Voici les chefs des fils d'Ésaü: Fils d'Éliphaz, premier-né d'Ésaü: le chef Théman, le chef Omar, le chef Tsépho, le chef Kénaz,
16 duk Sephua, duyk Ceneth, duyk Chore, duyk Dathan, duyk Amalech. These weren the sones of Eliphat, in the lond of Edom, and these weren the sones of Ada.
Le chef Korah, le chef Gaetham, le chef Amalek. Voilà les chefs issus d'Éliphaz au pays d'Édom; voilà les fils d'Ada.
17 Also these weren the sones of Rahuel, `sone of Esau, duyk Naath, duyk Zara, duyk Senna, duyk Meza; forsothe these duykis weren of Rahuel in the lond of Edom. These weren the sones of Bathsamath, `wijf of Esau.
Et voici les fils de Réuël, fils d'Ésaü: le chef Nahath, le chef Zérach, le chef Shamma, le chef Mizza. Voilà les chefs issus de Réuël au pays d'Édom, voilà les fils de Basmath, femme d'Ésaü.
18 Forsothe these weren the sones of Oolibama, `wijf of Esau; duyk Hieus, duyk Hielon, duyk Chore; these weren duykis of Oolibama, douytir of Ana, `wijf of Esau.
Et voici les fils d'Oholibama, femme d'Ésaü: le chef Jéush, le chef Jaelam, le chef Korah. Voilà les chefs issus d'Oholibama, fille d'Ana, femme d'Ésaü.
19 These weren the sones of Esau, and thei weren duykis of hem; he is Edom.
Voilà les fils d'Ésaü, qui est Édom, et voilà leurs chefs.
20 These weren the sones of Seir Horrei, enhabiteris of the lond; Jothan, and Sobal, and Sebeon,
Voici les fils de Séir, le Horien, qui habitaient le pays: Lothan, Shobal, Tsibeon, Ana, Dishon, Etser et Dishan.
21 and Anam, and Dison, and Eser, and Disan; these duikis weren of Horrey, sone of Seir, in the lond of Edom.
Voilà les chefs des Horiens, fils de Séir, au pays d'Édom.
22 Forsothe the sones of Jothan weren maad, Horrey, and Theman; sotheli the sistir of Jothan was Tanna.
Et les fils de Lothan furent: Hori et Héman; et Thimna était sœur de Lothan.
23 And these weren the sones of Sobal; Aluan, and Maneeth, and Ebal, Sephi, and Onam.
Et voici les fils de Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ébal, Shépho et Onam.
24 And these weren the sones of Sebeon; Achaia, and Ana; this is Ana that foonde hoote watris in wildirnesse, whanne he kepte the assis of Sebeon, his fadir;
Et voici les fils de Tsibeon: Ajja et Ana. C'est Ana qui trouva les sources chaudes dans le désert, pendant qu'il paissait les ânes de Tsibeon, son père.
25 and he hadde a sone Disan, and a douytir Oolibama.
Et voici les enfants d'Ana: Dishon et Oholibama, fille d'Ana.
26 And these weren the sones of Disan; Amadan, and Jesban, and Jethran, and Charan.
Et voici les fils de Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Jithran et Kéran.
27 Also these weren the sones of Heser; Baalan, and Zeuan, and Acham.
Voici les fils d'Etser: Bilhan, Zaavan et Akan.
28 And Disan hadde sones, Hus, and Haran.
Voici les fils de Dishan: Uts et Aran.
29 These weren the duykis of Horreis; duyk Jothan, duyk Sobal, duyk Sebeon, duyk Ana, duyk Dison, duyk Heser, duik Disan;
Voici les chefs des Horiens: le chef Lothan, le chef Shobal, le chef Tsibeon, le chef Ana,
30 these weren the duykis of Horreis, that weren lordis in the lond of Seir.
Le chef Dishon, le chef Etser, le chef Dishan. Voilà les chefs des Horiens, les chefs qu'ils eurent dans le pays de Séir.
31 Forsothe kyngis that regneden in the lond of Edom, bifore that the sones of Israel hadden a kyng, weren these;
Et voici les rois qui régnèrent au pays d'Édom, avant qu'un roi régnât sur les enfants d'Israël:
32 Balach, the sone of Beor, and the name of his citee was Deneba.
Béla, fils de Béor, régna en Édom, et le nom de sa ville était Dinhaba.
33 Forsothe Balach diede, and Jobab, sone of Sara of Bosra, regnede for hym.
Et Béla mourut; et Jobab, fils de Zérach, de Botsra, régna à sa place.
34 And whanne Jobab was deed, Husam of the lond of Themayns regnede for hym.
Et Jobab mourut; et Husham, du pays des Thémanites, régna à sa place.
35 And whanne he was deed, Adad, the sone of Badadi, that smoot Madian in the lond of Moab, and the name of his citee was Abyuth, `regnede for him.
Et Husham mourut; et Hadad, fils de Bedad, régna à sa place; il défit Madian, aux champs de Moab; et le nom de sa ville était Avith.
36 And whanne Adad was deed, Semla of Maseracha regnede for hym.
Et Hadad mourut; et Samla, de Masréka, régna à sa place.
37 And whanne he was deed, Saul of the flood Robooth ragnede for hym.
Et Samla mourut; et Saül, de Rehoboth, sur le fleuve, régna à sa place.
38 And whanne he was deed, Balanam, the sone of Achobor, was successour in to the rewme.
Et Saül mourut; et Baal-Hanan, fils d'Acbor, régna à sa place.
39 And whanne this was deed, Adad regnede for hym, and the name of the citee of Adad was Phau, and the name of his wijf was clepid Meezabel, the douyter of Mathrect, douyter of Mesaab.
Et Baal-Hanan, fils d'Acbor, mourut, et Hadar régna à sa place; et le nom de sa ville était Paü, et le nom de sa femme Méhétabeel, fille de Matred, fille de Mézahab.
40 Therfor these weren the names of duykis of Esau, in her kynredis, and places, and names; duyk Thanna, duyk Alua,
Et voici les noms des chefs d'Ésaü, selon leurs familles, selon leurs lieux, par leurs noms: le chef Thimna, le chef Alva, le chef Jetheth,
41 duyk Jetech, duyk Oolibama, duyk Ela,
Le chef Oholibama, le chef Éla, le chef Pinon,
42 duyk Phinon, duyk Ceneth, duik Theman,
Le chef Kénaz, le chef Théman, le chef Mibtsar,
43 duyk Mabsar, duyk Madiel, duyk Iram; these weren the duykis of Edom, dwelleris in the lond of hys lordschip; he was Esau, the fadir of Ydumeis.
Le chef Magdiel, le chef Iram. Voilà les chefs d'Édom, selon leurs demeures au pays de leur possession. C'est là Ésaü, le père des Iduméens.
