Genesis 35
1 Yn the mene tyme the Lord spak to Jacob, Ryse thou, and stie to Bethel, and dwelle thou there, and make thou an auter to the Lord, that apperide to thee whanne thou fleddist Esau, thi brother.
Şi Dumnezeu i-a spus lui Iacob: Ridică-te, urcă la Betel şi locuieşte acolo şi fă acolo un altar lui Dumnezeu, care ţi s-a arătat când fugeai din faţa lui Esau, fratele tău.
2 Forsothe Jacob seide, whanne al his hous was clepid to gidere, Caste ye a wei alien goddis, that ben `in the myddis of you, and be ye clensid, and chaunge ye youre clothis;
Atunci Iacob a spus casei lui şi tuturor celor care erau cu el: Puneţi deoparte dumnezeii străini care sunt printre voi şi curăţiţi-vă şi schimbaţi-vă hainele;
3 rise ye, and stie we into Bethel, that we make there an auter to the Lord, which herde me in the dai of my tribulacioun, and was felowe of my weie.
Şi să ne ridicăm şi să urcăm la Betel; şi voi face acolo un altar lui Dumnezeu, care mi-a răspuns în ziua strâmtorării mele şi a fost cu mine în calea pe care am mers.
4 Therfor thei yauen to hym alle alien goddis which thei hadden, and eere ryngis, that weren in `the eeris of hem; and he deluyde tho vndur a `tre, clepid therubynte, which is bihynde the citee of Sichem.
Şi i-au dat lui Iacob toţi dumnezeii străini care erau în mâna lor şi toţi cerceii care erau în urechile lor; şi Iacob le-a ascuns sub stejarul care era lângă Sihem.
5 And whanne thei yeden, drede assailide alle men by cumpas of the citee, and thei weren not hardi to pursue hem goynge a wei.
Şi au călătorit şi teroarea lui Dumnezeu era asupra cetăţilor care erau împrejurul lor şi nu i-au urmărit pe fiii lui Iacob.
6 Therfor Jacob cam to Lusa, which is in the lond of Canaan, bi `sire name Bethel, he and al his puple with hym.
Astfel Iacob a venit la Luz, adică Betel, care este în ţara lui Canaan, el şi toţi oamenii care erau cu el.
7 And he bildide there an auter to the Lord, and clepide the name of that place The hows of God, for God apperide there to hym, whanne he fledde his brothir.
Şi a zidit acolo un altar şi a pus numele acelui loc El-betel, deoarece acolo Dumnezeu i s-a arătat când fugea din faţa fratelui său.
8 Delbora, the nurische of Rebecca, diede in the same tyme, and sche was biried at the roote of Bethel, vndir an ook, and the name of the place was clepid The ook of wepyng.
Dar Debora, dădaca Rebecăi, a murit şi a fost îngropată la poalele Betelului, sub un stejar; şi acestuia i s-a pus numele Alon-Bacut.
9 Forsothe God apperide eft to Jacob, aftir that he turnede ayen fro Mesopotanye of Sirie, and cam into Bethel, and blesside hym,
Şi Dumnezeu i s-a arătat lui Iacob din nou, când a ieşit din Padanaram, şi l-a binecuvântat.
10 and seide, Thou schalt no more be clepid Jacob, but Israel schal be thi name. And God clepide hym Israel, and seide to hym,
Şi Dumnezeu i-a spus: Numele tău este Iacob, numele tău nu va mai fi chemat Iacob, ci Israel va fi numele tău; şi i-a pus numele Israel.
11 Y am God Almyyti, encreesse thou, and be thou multiplied, folkis and puplis of naciouns schulen be of thee, kyngis schulen go out of thi leendis;
Şi Dumnezeu i-a spus: Eu sunt Dumnezeul cel Atotputernic, fii roditor şi înmulţeşte-te; o naţiune şi o mulţime de naţiuni vor fi din tine şi împăraţi vor ieşi din coapsele tale;
12 and Y shal yyue to thee, and to thi seed after thee, the lond which Y yaf to Abraham, and Ysaac.
Şi pământul pe care l-am dat lui Avraam şi Isaac, ţie ţi-l voi da şi seminţei tale după tine îi voi da pământul.
13 And God departide fro hym.
Şi Dumnezeu s-a înălţat de la el în locul în care a vorbit cu el.
14 Forsothe Jacob reiside a title ether memorial of stoonys, in the place where ynne God spak to hym, and he sacrifiede ther onne fletynge sacrifices, and schedde out oile,
Şi Iacob a pus un stâlp în locul în care a vorbit cu el, un stâlp de piatră, şi a turnat un dar de băutură pe acesta şi a turnat untdelemn pe acesta.
15 and clepide the name of that place Bethel.
Şi Iacob a pus numele locului unde Dumnezeu a vorbit cu el, Betel.
16 Forsothe Jacob yede out fro thennus, and cam in the bigynnynge of somer to the lond that ledith to Effrata; in which lond whanne Rachel trauelide in child beryng,
Şi au plecat de la Betel; şi mai era doar puţin drum până să ajungă la Efrata; şi Rahela a intrat în durerile naşterii şi avea travaliu greu.
17 sche bigan to be in perel for the hardnesse of childberyng; and the medewijf seide to hir, Nyle thou drede, for thou schalt haue also this sone.
Şi s-a întâmplat, când era în travaliu greu, că moaşa i-a spus: Nu te teme; vei avea şi acest fiu.
18 Forsothe while the soule yede out for sorew, and deeth neiyede thanne, she clepide the name of hir sone Bennony, that is, the sone of my sorewe; forsothe the fadir clepide hym Beniamyn, that is the sone of the riyt side.
Şi s-a întâmplat, pe când sufletul ei se îndepărta, (pentru că a murit) că i-a pus numele Benoni; dar tatăl lui i-a pus numele, Beniamin.
19 Therfor Rachel diede, and was biriede in the weie that ledith to Effrata, this is Bethleem.
Şi Rahela a murit şi a fost îngropată pe calea spre Efrata, adică Betleem.
20 And Jacob bildide a title on the sepulcre of hir; this is the title of biriel of Rachel `til into present dai.
Şi Iacob a aşezat un stâlp peste mormântul ei, care este stâlpul mormântului Rahelei până în această zi.
21 Jacob yede fro thennus, and settide tabernacle ouer the tour of the flok.
Şi Israel a plecat şi şi-a întins cortul dincolo de turnul din Edar.
22 And while he dwellide in that cuntrei, Ruben yede, and slepte with Bala, the secundarie wijf of his fadir, which thing was not hid fro hym. Forsothe the sones of Jacob weren twelue;
Şi s-a întâmplat, pe când Israel locuia în acea ţară, că Ruben a mers şi s-a culcat cu Bilha, concubina tatălui său; şi Israel a auzit aceasta. Acum fiii lui Iacob erau doisprezece;
23 the sones of Lia weren, the firste gendrid Ruben, and Symeon, and Leuy, and Judas, and Isachar, and Zabulon;
Fiii Leei: Ruben, întâiul născut al lui Iacob şi Simeon şi Levi şi Iuda şi Isahar şi Zabulon;
24 the sones of Rachel weren, Joseph and Beniamyn;
Fiii Rahelei: Iosif şi Beniamin;
25 the sones of Bala, handmayde of Rachel, weren Dan, and Neptalym;
Şi fiii Bilhei, roaba Rahelei: Dan şi Neftali;
26 the sones of Zelfa, handmayde of Lya, weren Gad, and Aser. These weren the sones of Jacob, that weren borun to hym in Mesopotanye of Sirie.
Şi fiii Zilpei, roaba Leei: Gad şi Aşer; aceştia sunt fiii lui Iacob, care i s-au născut în Padanaram.
27 Also Jacob came to Isaac, his fadir, in to Manbre, a citee Arabee, this is Ebron, in which Manbre Abraham `and Isaac was a pylgrym.
Şi Iacob a venit la Isaac, tatăl său, la Mamre, în cetatea Arba, adică Hebron, unde Avraam şi Isaac au locuit temporar.
28 And the daies of Isaac weren fillid an hundrid and foure scoore of yeris;
Şi zilele lui Isaac erau o sută optzeci de ani.
29 and he was wastid in age, and diede, and he was put to his puple, and was eeld, and ful of daies; and Esau and Jacob his sones birieden hym.
Şi Isaac şi-a dat duhul şi a murit şi a fost adunat la poporul său, fiind bătrân şi plin de zile; şi fiii săi, Esau şi Iacob, l-au îngropat.
