Genesis 30
1 Forsothe Rachel seiy, that sche was vnfruytful, and hadde enuye to the sister, and seide to hir hosebonde, Yyue thou fre children to me, ellis Y schal die.
Als aber Rahel sah, daß sie dem Jakob keine Kinder gebar, ward sie eifersüchtig auf ihre Schwester und sprach zu Jakob: Schaffe mir auch Kinder, wo nicht, so sterbe ich.
2 To whom Jacob was wrooth, and answerde, Wher Y am for God, which haue priued thee fro the fruyt of thi wombe?
Jakob aber ward sehr zornig auf Rahel und sprach: Bin ich denn an Gottes Statt, der dir Leibesfrucht versagt?
3 And sche seide, Y haue `a seruauntesse Bala, entre thou to hir that she childe on my knees, and that Y haue sones of hir.
Sie aber sprach: Siehe, da ist meine Magd Bilha, komm zu ihr, daß sie in meinen Schoß gebäre, und ich doch durch sie Nachkommen erhalte!
4 And sche yaf to hym Bala in to matrimony;
Und sie gab ihm ihre Magd Bilha zum Weibe, und Jakob kam zu ihr.
5 and whanne the hosebonde hadde entrid to hir, sche conseyuede, and childide a sone.
Bilha aber empfing und gebar dem Jakob einen Sohn.
6 And Rachel seide, the Lord demede to me, and herde my preier, and yaf a sone to me; and therfor sche clepide his name Dan.
Da sprach Rahel: Gott hat mir Recht verschafft und meine Stimme erhört und mir einen Sohn gegeben; darum hieß sie ihn Dan.
7 And eft Bala conseyuede, and childide anothir sone,
Und Bilha, die Magd Rahels, empfing abermal und gebar dem Jakob einen zweiten Sohn.
8 for whom Rachel seide, The Lord hath maad me lijk to my sistir, and Y wexide strong; and sche clepide hym Neptalym.
Da sprach Rahel: Ich habe mit meiner Schwester gerungen, als ränge ich mit Gott, und habe auch gewonnen! Darum hieß sie ihn Naphtali.
9 Lya feelide that sche ceesside to bere child, and sche yaf Selfa, hir handmayde, to the hosebonde.
Als nun Lea sah, daß sie innehielt mit Gebären, nahm sie ihre Magd Silpa und gab sie Jakob zum Weibe.
10 And whanne Selfa aftir conseyuyng childide a sone, Lya seide, Blessidly;
Und Silpa, Leas Magd, gebar dem Jakob einen Sohn.
11 and therfor sche clepide his name Gad.
Da sprach Lea: Ich habe Glück! und hieß ihn Gad.
12 Also Selfa childide anothir sone,
Darnach gebar Silpa, Leas Magd, dem Jakob einen zweiten Sohn.
13 and Lia seide, This is for my blis, for alle wymmen schulen seie me blessid; therfor sche clepide hym Aser.
Da sprach Lea: Die Töchter werden mich glücklich preisen! Und sie hieß ihn Asser.
14 Forsothe Ruben yede out in to the feeld in the tyme of wheete heruest, and foond mandragis, whiche he brouyte to Lya, his modir. And Rachel seide, Yyue thou to me a part of the mandragis of thi sone.
Ruben aber ging aus zur Zeit der Weizenernte und fand Liebesäpfel auf dem Felde und brachte sie heim zu seiner Mutter Lea. Da sprach Rahel zu Lea: Gib mir einen Teil der Liebesäpfel deines Sohnes!
15 Lya answeride, Whether it semeth litil to thee, that thou hast rauyschid the hosebonde fro me, no but thou take also the mandragis of my sone? Rachel seide, The hosebonde sleepe with thee in this nyyt for the mandragis of thi sone.
Sie antwortete ihr: Ist das ein Geringes, daß du mir meinen Mann genommen hast? Und willst du auch die Liebesäpfel meines Sohnes nehmen? Rahel sprach: Er soll dafür diese Nacht bei dir schlafen zum Entgelt für die Liebesäpfel deines Sohnes!
16 And whanne Jacob cam ayen fro the feeld at euentid, Lya yede out in to his comyng, and seide, Thou shalt entre to me, for Y haue hired thee with hire for the mandragis of my sone. He slepte with hir in that nyyt;
Da nun Jakob am Abend vom Felde kam, ging ihm Lea entgegen und sprach: Du sollst zu mir kommen, denn ich habe dich erkauft um die Liebesäpfel meines Sohnes. Und er schlief in jener Nacht bei ihr.
17 and God herde hir preiers, and sche conseyuede, and childide the fyuethe sone;
Und Gott erhörte Lea, und sie empfing und gebar dem Jakob den fünften Sohn.
18 and seide, God yaf meede to me, for Y yaf myn handmayde to myn hosebond; and sche clepide his name Isacar.
Da sprach Lea: Gott hat mir gelohnt, daß ich meinem Mann meine Magd gegeben habe, und hieß ihn Issaschar.
19 Eft Lia conseyuede, and childide the sixte sone,
Lea empfing abermal und gebar dem Jakob den sechsten Sohn.
20 and seide, The Lord hath maad me riche with a good dower, also in this tyme myn hosebonde schal be with me, for Y childide sixe sones to hym; and therfore sche clepide his name Sabulon.
Und Lea sprach: Gott hat mich mit einer guten Gabe beschenkt! Nun wird mein Mann wieder bei mir wohnen, denn ich habe ihm sechs Söhne geboren, und sie hieß ihn Sebulon.
21 Aftir whom sche childide a douyter, Dyna bi name.
Darnach gebar sie eine Tochter, welche sie Dina hieß.
22 Also the Lord hadde mynde on Rachel, and herde hir, and openyde hir wombe.
Aber Gott gedachte an Rahel, und Gott erhörte ihr Gebet und machte sie fruchtbar.
23 And sche conseyuede, and childide a sone, and seide, God hath take a wey my schenschipe; and sche clepid his name Joseph,
Und sie empfing und gebar einen Sohn und sprach: Gott hat meine Schmach von mir genommen!
24 and seide, The Lord yyue to me another sone.
Und sie hieß ihn Joseph und sprach: Gott wolle mir noch einen Sohn dazu geben!
25 Sotheli whanne Joseph was borun, Jacob seide to his wyues fadir, Delyuere thou me, that Y turne ayen in to my cuntrey and to my lond.
Da nun Rahel den Joseph geboren hatte, sprach Jakob zu Laban: Entlasse mich, daß ich an meinen Ort und in mein Land ziehe!
26 Yyue thou to me my wyues and fre children for whiche Y seruede thee, that Y go; forsothe thou knowist the seruyce bi which Y seruede thee.
Gib mir meine Weiber und Kinder, um welche ich dir gedient habe, daß ich gehen kann! Denn du weißt, welche Dienste ich dir geleistet habe.
27 Laban seide to hym, Fynde Y grace in thi siyt, Y haue lerned bi experience that God blesside me for thee;
Laban antwortete: Ach, daß ich doch in deinen Augen Gnade fände! Ich habe es geahnt; und doch hat mich der HERR um deinetwillen gesegnet.
28 ordeyne thou the meede which Y schal yyue to thee.
Und er sprach: Bestimme mir deinen Lohn, so will ich ihn dir geben!
29 And he answeride, Thou woost hou Y seruede thee, and hou greet thi possessioun was in myn hondis;
Jakob sprach: Du weißt, wie ich dir gedient habe, und was aus deinem Vieh unter meiner Pflege geworden ist.
30 thou haddist litil bifore that Y cam to thee, and now thou art maad riche, and the Lord blesside thee at myn entryng; therfor it is iust that Y purueye sum tyme also to myn hows.
Denn es war wenig, was du vor meiner Ankunft hattest, nun aber ist viel daraus geworden, und der HERR hat dich gesegnet, wo ich hingekommen bin; und nun, wann soll ich auch für mein Haus sorgen?
31 And Laban seide, What schal Y yyue to thee? And Jacob seide, Y wole no thing but if thou doist that that Y axe, eft Y schal fede and kepe thi scheep.
Er sprach: Was soll ich dir denn geben? Jakob sprach: Du brauchst mir gar nichts zu geben! Wenn du mir nur tun willst, was ich jetzt sage, so will ich deine Herden wieder weiden.
32 Cumpasse thou alle thi flockis, and departe thou alle diuerse scheep and of spottid flees, and what euer thing schal be dun, and spottid, and dyuerse, as wel in scheep as in geet, it schal be my mede.
Ich will heute durch alle deine Herden gehen, und du sollst daraus absondern alle gesprenkelten und gefleckten Schafe, auch alle schwarzen Schafe unter den Lämmern und alle gefleckten und gesprenkelten Ziegen; und das soll mein Lohn sein.
33 And my riytfulnesse schal answere to me to morewe, whanne the tyme of couenaunt schal come bifor thee; and alle that ben not dyuerse and spottid and dunne, as well in sheep as in geet, schulen repreue me of thefte.
So wird alsdann meine Gerechtigkeit für mich sprechen am künftigen Tag vor deinen Augen, wenn du zu meinem Lohn kommst; alles, was weder gesprenkelt noch gefleckt ist unter den Ziegen und was nicht schwarz ist unter den Lämmern bei mir, das soll als gestohlen gelten.
34 And Laban seide, Y haue acceptable that that thou axist.
Da sprach Laban: Gut, es sei so, wie du gesagt hast!
35 And he departide in that dai the geet, and scheep, geet buckis, and rammes, dyuerse and spottid. Sothely he bitook al the flok of o coloure, that is, of white and of blak flees in the hond of hise sones;
Und er sonderte noch am gleichen Tag die gestreiften und gefleckten Böcke aus und alle gesprenkelten Ziegen, alles, woran etwas Weißes war, und alles, was schwarz war unter den Lämmern, und tat es unter die Hand seiner Söhne.
36 and he settide the space of weie of thre daies bitwixe hise sones and the hosebonde of hise douytris, that fedde othere flockis` of hym.
Und er machte einen Abstand von drei Tagereisen zwischen sich und Jakob; dieser aber weidete die übrigen Schafe Labans.
37 Therfor Jacob took greene yerdis of popeleris, and of almoundis, and of planes, and in parti dide awei the rynde of tho, and whanne the ryndis weren `drawun a wei, whitnesse apperide in these that weren maad bare; sothely tho that weren hoole dwelliden grene, and bi this maner the coloure was maad dyuerse.
Da nahm Jakob frische Ruten von Pappeln, Mandel und Platanenbäumen und schälte weiße Streifen dran, indem er das Weiße an den Ruten bloßlegte;
38 And Jacob puttide tho yerdis in the trowis, where the watir was held out, that whanne the flockis schulden come to drynke, thei schulden haue the yerdis bifor the iyen, and schulden conseyue in the siyt of the yerdis.
und legte die Ruten, die er abgeschält hatte, in die Tränkrinnen, wohin die Schafe zum Trinken kamen, gerade vor die Schafe hin.
39 And it was doon that in thilke heete of riding the sheep schulde biholde the yerdis, and that thei schulden brynge forth spotti beestis, and dyuerse, and bispreynt with dyuerse colour.
Wenn sie dann beim Kommen zur Tränke brünstig wurden, so empfingen sie angesichts der Ruten und warfen Gestreifte, Gesprenkelte und Gefleckte.
40 And Jacob departide the floc, and puttide the yerdis in the trowis bifor the iyen of the rammys. Sotheli alle the white and blake weren Labans; sotheli the othere weren Jacobis; for the flockis weren departid bytwixe hem silf.
Die Lämmer aber sonderte Jakob ab und richtete das Angesicht der Schafe gegen die gefleckten und schwarzen in der Herde Labans; und er machte sich besondere Herden und tat sie nicht zu Labans Schafen.
41 Therfor whanne the scheep weren ridun in the firste tyme, Jacob puttide the yerdis in the `trouyis of watir bifor the iyen of rammys and of scheep, that thei schulden conseyue in the siyt of tho yerdis.
Und jedesmal, wenn die Zeit kam, wo die kräftigen Schafe brünstig wurden, legte Jakob die Ruten in die Tränkrinnen vor die Augen der Schafe, damit sie über den Ruten empfingen;
42 Forsothe whanne the late medlyng and the laste conseyuyng weren, Jacob puttide not tho yerdis; and tho that weren late, weren maad Labans, and tho that weren of the firste tyme weren Jacobis.
wenn aber die Schwachen brünstig wurden, legte er sie nicht hinein. So erhielt Laban die schwachen und Jakob die starken.
43 And he was maad ful riche, and hadde many flockis, handmaydis, and seruauntis, camels, and assis.
Und der Mann wurde außerordentlich reich und bekam viele Schafe, Knechte und Mägde, Kamele und Esel.
