Genesis 29
1 Therfor Jacob passide forth, and cam in to the eest lond;
Tedy Jákob vstav, odšel do země východní.
2 and seiy a pit in the feeld, and thre flockis of scheep restynge bisidis it, for whi scheep weren watrid therof, and the mouth therof was closid with a greet stoon.
A pohleděv, uzřel studnici v poli a tři stáda ovcí, ana se složila při ní; nebo z té studnice napájeli stáda; a kámen veliký byl navrchu studnice.
3 And the custom was that whanne alle scheep weren gaderid togidere, thei schulden turne awei the stoon, and whanne the flockis weren fillid thei schulden put it eft on the mouth of the pit.
Shánívána pak tam bývala všecka stáda, a teprv odvalovali kámen ten od vrchu té studnice, a napájeli dobytky; potom zas přivalovali kámen na vrch studnice, na místo jeho.
4 And Jacob seide to the scheepherdis, Brithren, of whennus ben ye? Whiche answeriden, Of Aran.
Tedy řekl jim Jákob: Bratří moji, odkud jste? Kteřížto odpověděli: Jsme z Cháran.
5 And he axide hem and seide, Wher ye knowen Laban, the sone of Nachor? Thei seiden, We knowen.
I řekl jim: Znáte-li Lábana, syna Náchorova? A oni řekli: Známe.
6 Jacob seide, Is he hool? Thei seiden, He is in good staat; and lo! Rachel, his douytir, cometh with his flok.
I dí opět k nim: Dobře-li se má? Odpověděli: Dobře, a aj, Ráchel dcera jeho tamto jde s dobytkem.
7 And Jacob seide, Yit myche of the dai is to come, and it is not tyme that the flockis be led ayen to the fooldis; sotheli yyue ye drynk to the scheep, and so lede ye hem ayen to mete.
Tedy řekl: Však ještě daleko do večera, aniž ještě čas, aby dobytek byl sehnán; napojte stáda, a jděte, paste.
8 Whiche answeriden, We moun not til alle scheep be gederid to gidere, and til we remouen the stoon fro the mouth of the pit to watir the flockis.
A oni odpověděli: Nemůžeme, než až se všecka stáda seženou, a odvalen bude kámen od svrchku studnice, abychom napojili ovce.
9 Yit thei spaken, and lo! Rachel cam with the scheep of hir fadir.
Když on ještě mluvil s nimi, přišla k tomu Ráchel s stádem otce svého; neb ona pásla stádo.
10 And whanne Jacob seiy hir, and knewe the douytir of his modris brothir, and the scheep of Laban his vncle, he remeuyde the stoon with which the pit was closid;
Tedy Jákob uzřev Ráchel, dceru Lábana ujce svého, a stádo jeho, přistoupil a odvalil ten kámen od vrchu studnice, a napojil stádo Lábana ujce svého.
11 and whanne the flok was watrid, he kisside hir, and he wepte with `vois reisid.
A políbil Jákob Ráchel, a povýšiv hlasu svého, plakal.
12 And he schewide to hir that he was the brothir of hir fadir, and the sone of Rebecca; and sche hastide, and telde to hir fadir.
Oznámil jí pak byl Jákob, že jest bratr otce jejího, a že jest syn Rebeky; a ona přiběhši, oznámila to otci svému.
13 And whanne he hadde herd, that Jacob, the sone of his sistir, cam, he ran ayens hym, and he biclippide Jacob and kisside hym, and ledde in to his hows. Forsothe whanne the causis of the iurney weren herd,
I stalo se, když Lában uslyšel pověst o Jákobovi, synu sestry své, že vyběhl proti němu, a objav ho, políbil, a uvedl do domu svého; on pak vypravoval Lábanovi o všech těch věcech.
14 Laban answeride, Thou art my boon and my fleisch. And aftir that the daies of o moneth weren fillid, Laban seide to him,
Jemužto odpověděl Lában: Jistě kost má a tělo mé jsi. I zůstal s ním přes celý měsíc.
15 `Whethir for thou art my brothir, thou schalt serue me frely? seie thou what mede thou schalt take.
Tedy řekl Lában Jákobovi: Zdali proto, že jsi bratr můj, darmo mi sloužiti budeš? Pověz mi, jaká má býti mzda tvá?
16 Forsothe Laban hadde twei douytris, the name of the more was Lya, sotheli the lesse was clepid Rachel;
(Měl pak Lában dvě dcery; jméno starší Lía, a jméno mladší Ráchel.
17 but Lya was blere iyed, Rachel was of fair face, and semeli in siyt.
Než Lía měla oči mdlé, ale Ráchel byla pěkné postavy a krásné tváři.
18 And Jacob louede Rachel, and seide, Y schal serue thee seuene yeer for Rachel thi lesse douytir.
I miloval Jákob Ráchel.) Řekl tedy: Buduť sloužiti sedm let za Ráchel, dceru tvou mladší.
19 Laban answeride, It is betere that Y yyue hir to thee than to anothir man; dwelle thou at me.
Odpověděl Lában: Lépeť jest, abych ji tobě dal, nežli bych ji dal muži jinému; zůstaniž se mnou.
20 Therfor Jacob seruyde seuene yeer for Rachel; and the daies semyden fewe to hym for the greetnesse of loue.
Takž Jákob sloužil za Ráchel sedm let; a bylo před očima jeho jako něco málo dnů, proto že laskav byl na ni.
21 And he seide to Laban, Yyue thou my wijf to me, for the tyme is fillid that Y entre to hir.
Potom řekl Jákob k Lábanovi: Dejž mi ženu mou; nebo vyplněni jsou dnové moji, abych všel k ní.
22 And whanne many cumpenyes of freendis weren clepid to the feeste, he made weddyngis,
Tedy sezval Lában všecky muže místa toho, a učinil hody.
23 and in the euentid Laban brouyte in to hym Lya his douytir,
U večer pak vzav Líu, dceru svou, uvedl ji k němu; a on všel k ní.
24 and yaf an handmaide, Selfa bi name, to the douyter. And whanne Jacob hadde entrid to hir bi custom, whanne the morewtid was maad, he seiy Lya,
Dal také Lában Zelfu děvku svou Líe, dceři své, za služebnici.
25 and seide to his wyues fadir, What is it that thou woldist do? wher Y seruede not thee for Rachel? whi hast thou disseyued me?
A když bylo ráno, poznal, že jest Lía. I řekl k Lábanovi: Což jsi mi to učinil? Zdaliž jsem za Ráchel nesloužil u tebe? Pročežs mne tedy oklamal?
26 Laban answerde, It is not custom in oure place that we yyue first the `lesse douytris to weddyngis;
Odpověděl Lában: Nebývá toho v kraji našem, aby vdávána byla mladší dříve, než prvorozená.
27 fille thou the wouke of daies of this couplyng, and Y schal yyue to thee also this Rachel, for the werk in which thou schalt serue me bi othere seuene yeer.
Vyplň týden této; dámeť potom i tuto za službu, kterouž sloužiti budeš u mne ještě sedm let jiných.
28 Jacob assentide to the couenaunt, and whanne the wouke was passid,
I udělal tak Jákob, a vyplnil týden její. Potom dal mu Ráchel dceru svou za manželku.
29 he weddide Rachel, to whom the fadir hadde youe Bala seruauntesse.
Dal také Lában Ráchel, dceři své, Bálu, děvku svou za služebnici.
30 And at the laste he vside the weddyngis desirid, and settide the loue of the `wijf suynge bifore the former; and he seruede at Laban seuene othere yeer.
Tedy všel také k Ráchel, a miloval ji více než Líu; i sloužil u něho ještě sedm let jiných.
31 Forsothe the Lord seiy that he dispiside Lya, and openyde hir wombe while the sistir dwellide bareyn.
Vida pak Hospodin, že Lía nemá lásky, otevřel život její; a Ráchel nechal neplodné.
32 And Lia childide a sone conseyued, and clepide his name Ruben, and seide, The Lord seiy my mekenesse; now myn hosebonde schal loue me.
Tedy počala Lía a porodila syna, a nazvala jméno jeho Ruben; nebo řekla: Jistě viděl Hospodin trápení mé; jižť nyní milovati mne bude muž můj.
33 And eft sche conseyuede, `and childide a sone, and seide, For the Lord seiy that Y was dispisid, he yaf also this sone to me; and sche clepide his name Symeon.
I počala opět a porodila syna, a řekla: Jistě uslyšel Hospodin, že jsem v nenávisti, protož dal mi i tohoto. A nazvala jméno jeho Simeon.
34 And sche conseyuede the thridde tyme, and childide anothir sone, and she seide also, Now myn hosebonde schal be couplid to me, for Y childide thre sones to him; and therfor sche clepide his name Leuy.
A opět počala a porodila syna, a řekla: Již nyní připojí se ke mně muž můj, nebo jsem mu porodila tři syny. Z té příčiny nazváno jest jméno jeho Léví.
35 The fourthe tyme sche conseyuede, and childide a sone, and seide, Now I schal knouleche to the Lord; and herfor she clepide his name Judas; and ceesside to childe.
I počala ještě a porodila syna, a řekla: Již nyní chváliti budu Hospodina. Pročež nazvala jméno jeho Juda; i přestala roditi.
