1 Forsothe for hungur roos on the lond, aftir thilke bareynesse that bifelde in the daies of Abraham, Isaac yede forth to Abymelech, kyng of Palestyns, in Gerara.
and to be famine in/on/with land: country/planet from to/for alone: besides [the] famine [the] first: previous which to be in/on/with day Abraham and to go: went Isaac to(wards) Abimelech king Philistine Gerar [to]
2 And the Lord apperide to hym, and seide, Go not doun in to Egipt, but reste thou in the lond which Y schal seie to thee,
and to see: see to(wards) him LORD and to say not to go down Egypt [to] to dwell in/on/with land: country/planet which to say to(wards) you
3 and be thou a pilgrym ther ynne; and Y schal be with thee, and Y schal blesse thee; for Y schal yyue alle these cuntrees to thee and to thi seed, and Y schal fille the ooth which Y bihiyte to Abraham, thi fadir.
to sojourn in/on/with land: country/planet [the] this and to be with you and to bless you for to/for you and to/for seed: children your to give: give [obj] all [the] land: country/planet [the] these and to arise: establish [obj] [the] oath which to swear to/for Abraham father your
4 And Y schal multiplie thi seed as the sterris of heuene, and Y schal yyue alle these thingis to thin eyris, and alle folkis of erthe schulen be blessid in thi seed, for Abraham obeide to my vois,
and to multiply [obj] seed: children your like/as star [the] heaven and to give: give to/for seed: children your [obj] all [the] land: country/planet [the] these and to bless in/on/with seed: children your all nation [the] land: country/planet
5 and kepte `my preceptis and comaundementis, and kepte cerymonyes and lawis.
consequence which to hear: obey Abraham in/on/with voice my and to keep: obey charge my commandment my statute my and instruction my
6 And so Ysaac dwellide in Geraris.
and to dwell Isaac in/on/with Gerar
7 And whanne he was axid of men of that place of his wijf, he answarde, Sche is my sistir; for he dredde to knowleche that sche was felouschipid to hym in matrymonye, and gesside lest peraduenture thei wolden sle him for the fairnesse of hir.
and to ask human [the] place to/for woman: wife his and to say sister my he/she/it for to fear to/for to say woman: wife my lest to kill me human [the] place upon Rebekah for pleasant appearance he/she/it
8 And whanne ful many daies weren passid, and he dwellide there, Abymelech, kyng of Palestyns, bihelde bi a wyndow, and seiy hym pleiynge with Rebecca, his wijf.

10 And Abymelech seide, Whi hast thou disseyued vs? Sum man of the puple myyte do letcherie with thi wijf, and thou haddist brouyt in greuous synne on vs. And the kyng comaundide to al the puple,

11 and seide, He that touchith the wijf of this man schal die bi deeth.
and to command Abimelech [obj] all [the] people to/for to say [the] to touch in/on/with man [the] this and in/on/with woman: wife his to die to die
12 Forsothe Isaac sowide in that lond, and he foond an hundrid fold in that yeer; and the Lord blesside hym.
and to sow Isaac in/on/with land: country/planet [the] he/she/it and to find in/on/with year [the] he/she/it hundred hundredfold and to bless him LORD
13 And the man was maad riche, and he yede profitynge and encreessynge til he was maad ful greet.
and to magnify [the] man and to go: continue to go: continue and growing till for to magnify much
14 Also he hadde possessioun of scheep and grete beestis, and ful myche of meyne. For this thing Palestyns hadden enuye to hym,
and to be to/for him livestock flock and livestock cattle and service many and be jealous [obj] him Philistine
15 and thei stoppiden in that tyme and filliden with erthe alle the pittis whiche the seruauntis of Abraham his fadir hadden diggid,
and all [the] well which to search servant/slave father his in/on/with day Abraham father his to close them Philistine and to fill them dust
16 in so myche that Abymelech him silf seide to Ysaac, Go thou awei fro vs, for thou art maad greetly myytier than we.
and to say Abimelech to(wards) Isaac to go: went from from with us for be vast from us much
17 And he yede awei, that he schulde come to the stronde of Gerare, and dwelle there.
and to go: went from there Isaac and to camp in/on/with torrent: valley Gerar and to dwell there
18 And he diggide eft other pittis, whiche the seruauntis of Abraham his fadir hadden diggid, and whiche the Filisteis hadden stoppid sumtyme, whanne Abraham was deed; and he clepide tho pittis bi the same names, bi whiche his fadir hadde clepid bifore.
and to return: again Isaac and to search [obj] well [the] water which to search in/on/with day Abraham father his and to close them Philistine after death Abraham and to call: call by to/for them name like/as name which to call: call by to/for them father his
19 Thei diggiden in the stronde, and thei founden wellynge watir.
and to search servant/slave Isaac in/on/with torrent: valley and to find there well water alive
20 But also strijf of scheepherdis of Gerare was there ayens the scheepherdis of Isaac, and thei seiden, The watir is oure; wherfor of that that bifelde he clepide the name of the pit fals chaleng.
and to contend to pasture Gerar with to pasture Isaac to/for to say to/for us [the] water and to call: call by name [the] well Esek for to contend with him
21 And thei diggiden anothir, and thei stryueden also for that, and Ysaac clepide that pit enemytes.
and to search well another and to contend also upon her and to call: call by name her Sitnah
22 And he yede forth fro thennus, and diggide another pit, for which thei stryueden not, therfor he clepid the name of that pit largenesse; and seide, Now God hath alargid vs, and hath maad to encreesse on erthe.
and to proceed from there and to search well another and not to contend upon her and to call: call by name her Rehoboth and to say for now to enlarge LORD to/for us and be fruitful in/on/with land: country/planet
23 Forsothe he stiede fro that place in to Bersabee,
and to ascend: rise from there Beersheba Beersheba
24 where the Lord God apperide to him in that nyyt; and seide, Y am God of Abraham, thi fadir; nyle thou drede, for Y am with thee, and Y schal blesse thee, and Y schal multiplie thi seed for my seruaunt Abraham.
and to see: see to(wards) him LORD in/on/with night [the] he/she/it and to say I God Abraham father your not to fear for with you I and to bless you and to multiply [obj] seed: children your in/on/with for the sake of Abraham servant/slave my
25 And so Ysaac bildide ther an auter to the Lord; and whanne the name of the Lord was inwardli clepid, he stretchide forth a tabernacle; and he comaundide hise seruauntis that thei schulden digge pittis.
and to build there altar and to call: call to in/on/with name LORD and to stretch there tent his and to pierce there servant/slave Isaac well
26 And whanne Abymelech, and Ochosat, hise frendis, and Ficol, duk of knyytis, hadden come fro Geraris to that place,
and Abimelech to go: went to(wards) him from Gerar and Ahuzzath companion his and Phicol ruler army his
27 Isaac spak to hem, What camen ye to me, a man whom ye hatiden, and puttiden awei fro you?
and to say to(wards) them Isaac why? to come (in): come to(wards) me and you(m. p.) to hate [obj] me and to send: depart me from with you
28 Whiche answeriden, We seiyen that God is with thee, and therfor we seiden now, An ooth be bitwixe vs, and make we a couenaunt of pees,
and to say to see: see to see: see for to be LORD with you and to say to be please oath between us between us and between you and to cut: make(covenant) covenant with you
29 that thou do not ony yuel to vs, as we touchiden `not ony thing of thine, nethir diden that that hirtide thee, but with pees we leften thee encressid bi the blessyng of the Lord.
if: surely yes to make: do with us distress: harm like/as as which not to touch you and like/as as which to make: do with you except good and to send: depart you in/on/with peace you(m. s.) now to bless LORD
30 Therfor Isaac made a feeste to hem; and after mete and drynk thei risen eerli,
and to make to/for them feast and to eat and to drink
31 and sworen ech to other; and Isaac lefte hem peisibli in to her place.
and to rise in/on/with morning and to swear man: anyone to/for brother: male-sibling his and to send: depart them Isaac and to go: went from with him in/on/with peace
32 Lo! forsothe in that dai the seruauntis of Ysaac camen, tellynge to him of the pit which thei hadden diggid, and seiden, We han foundun watir.
and to be in/on/with day [the] he/she/it and to come (in): come servant/slave Isaac and to tell to/for him upon because [the] well which to search and to say to/for him to find water
33 Wherfor Ysaac clepide that pit abundaunce; and the name of the citee was set Bersabee til in to present dai.

34 Esau forsothe fourti yeer eld weddide twei wyues, Judith, the douytir of Beeri Ethei, and Bethsamath, the douyter of Elon, of the same place;
and to be Esau son: aged forty year and to take: marry woman: wife [obj] Judith daughter Beeri [the] Hittite and [obj] Basemath daughter Elon [the] Hittite
35 whiche bothe offendiden the soule of Isaac and of Rebecca.
and to be bitterness spirit to/for Isaac and to/for Rebekah
