< Genesis 24 >
1 Forsothe Abraham was eld, and of many daies, and the Lord hadde blessid hym in alle thingis.
Na Abraham anyin a ne mfe akɔ anim yiye. Awurade hyiraa no wɔ akwan ahorow nyinaa so.
2 And he seide to the eldere seruaunt of his hows, that was souereyn on alle thingis that he hadde, Put thou thin hond vndur myn hipe,
Da koro bi, Abraham ka kyerɛɛ ne somfo panyin a ɔhwɛ nʼagyapade nyinaa so no se, “Fa wo nsa ka me srɛ ase.
3 that Y coniure thee bi the Lord God of heuene and of erthe, that thou take not a wijf to my sone of the douytris of Chanaan, among whiche Y dwelle;
Mepɛ sɛ woka Awurade a ɔyɛ ɔsoro ne asase Nyankopɔn ntam sɛ, worenware Kanaanfo a me ne wɔn te yi babea biara mma me babarima Isak.
4 but that thou go to my lond and kynrede, and therof take a wijf to my sone Ysaac.
Na mmom, wobɛkɔ me man mu, mʼabusuafo nkyɛn, akɔware ɔbea abrɛ no.”
5 The seruaunt aunswerde, If the womman nyle come with me in to this lond, whether Y owe lede ayen thi sone to the place, fro which thou yedist out?
Ɔsomfo no bisaa Abraham se, “Me wura, na sɛ ɛba sɛ ɔbea no ampene so sɛ ɔne me bɛba ɔman yi mu a, na mereyɛ no dɛn? Memfa wo babarima no nkɔ wo man no mu ana?”
6 Abraham seide, Be war, lest ony tyme thou lede ayen thidur my sone;
Abraham kae se, “Hwɛ yiye na woamfa me babarima no ankɔ hɔ da.
7 the Lord of heuene that took me fro the hows of my fadir, and fro the lond of my birthe, which spak to me, and swoor, and seide, Y schal yyue this lond to thi seed, he schal sende his aungel bifore thee, and thou schalt take fro thennus a wijf to my sone; forsothe if the womman nyle sue thee,
Awurade, ɔsoro Nyankopɔn a ɔde me fi mʼagya fi ne mʼasase so baa ha na ɔkaa ntam hyɛɛ me bɔ se, ‘Mede saa asase yi bɛma wʼasefo no,’ ɔno ara na ɔbɛsoma ne bɔfo adi wʼanim akɔ, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wubenya ɔyere afi hɔ ama me babarima no.

Sɛ ɛba sɛ, ɔbea no ampene sɛ ɔne wo bɛba a, wo ntam a wokae no nkyekyere wo. Ɛnsɛ sɛ wode me babarima no kɔ hɔ.”
9 Therfore the seruaunt puttide his hond vndur the hipe of Abraham, his lord, and swoor to him on this word.
Enti, ɔsomfo no de ne nsa kaa ne wura Abraham srɛ ase, kaa saa asɛm yi ho ntam.
10 And he took ten camels of the floc of his lord, and yede forth, and bar with him of alle the goodis of his lord; and he yede forth, and cam to Mesopotanye, to the citee of Nachor.
Na, ɔsomfo no faa ne wura yoma no mu du kɔe. Ɔrebɛkɔ no, ogyee ne wura Abraham nkyɛn nnepa ahorow bebree kaa ho. Ɔde nʼani kyerɛɛ Mesopotamia, koduu Nahor kurow mu.
11 And whanne he hadde maad the camels to reste with out the citee, bisidis the pit of watir, in the euentid, in that tyme in which wymmen ben wont to go out to drawe watir,
Oduu Nahor kurotia no, ɔmaa yoma no butubutuw abura bi a ɛwɔ hɔ no ho. Na onwini adwo a ɛyɛ bere a mmea bɛtow nsu wɔ abura no mu.
12 he seide, Lord God of my lord Abraham, Y biseche, meete with me to dai, and do mersi with my lord Abraham.
Na ɔsomfo no bɔɔ mpae se, “Awurade, me wura Abraham Nyankopɔn, hu me wura Abraham mmɔbɔ, na boa me, na mʼakwantu yi nsi yiye.
13 Lo! Y stonde nyy the welle of watir, and the douytris of enhabiters of this citee schulen go out to drawe watir;
Hwɛ, migyina abura yi so, na kurow yi mu mmabaa rebɛtow nsu.
14 therfor the damysel to which Y schal seie, Bowe doun thi watir pot that Y drynke, and schal answere, Drynke thou, but also Y schal yyue drynke to thi camels, thilke it is which thou hast maad redi to thi seruaunt Ysaac; and bi this Y schal vndirstonde that thou hast do mersi with my lord Abraham.
Ma ɛmmra mu sɛ, ababaa biara a mɛka akyerɛ no se, ‘Mesrɛ wo, soɛ na ma me wo sukuruwa no mu nsu no bi nnom no,’ sɛ ɔka se, ‘Nom bi, na mɛma wo yoma no nso bi anom’ a, ɔnyɛ ababaa a woapaw no ama wʼakoa Isak. Ɛnam eyi so bɛma mahu sɛ, woahu me wura mmɔbɔ.”
15 And he hadde not yit fillid the wordis with ynne hym silf, and lo! Rebecca, the douytir of Batuel, sone of Melcha, wijf of Nachor, brothir of Abraham, yede out, hauynge a watir pot in hir schuldre;
Ogu so rebɔ mpae no na Rebeka bae a ne sukuruwa si ne bati so. Saa Rebeka no yɛ Betuel ba. Betuel no nso yɛ Abraham nuabarima Nahor ne ne yere Milka babarima.
16 a damysel ful comeli, and faireste virgyn, and vnknowun of man. Sotheli sche cam doun to the welle, and fillide the watir pot, and turnide ayen.
Na Rebeka no yɛ ɔbabun a ne ho yɛ fɛ yiye. Na ɔbarima biara mfaa ne ho nkaa no da. Osian kɔɔ abura no so, kɔhyɛɛ ne sukuruwa no nsu ma, san bae.
17 And the seruaunt mette hir, and seide, Yyue thou to me a litil of the watir of thi pot to drynke.
Ɔsomfo no de ahoɔhare kohyiaa Rebeka, ka kyerɛɛ no se, “Mesrɛ wo, hwie wo sukuruwa no mu nsu no kakra ma mennom.”
18 Which answerde, Drynke thou, my lord. And anoon sche dide doun the watir pot on hir schuldre, and yaf drynk to hym.
Ntɛm ara, ɔsoɛɛ ne sukuruwa no kae se, “Me wura, gye bi nom.”
19 And whanne he hadde drunke, sche addide, But also Y schal drawe watir to thi camelis, til alle drynken.
Rebeka maa ɔsomfo no nsu no bi nom wiee no, ɔkae se, “Mɛsan akɔsaw nsu no bi abrɛ wo yoma no nyinaa nso anom.”
20 And sche helde out the watir pot in trouyis, and ran ayen to the pit, to drawe watir, and sche yaf watir drawun to alle the camels.
Enti Rebeka de ahoɔhare hwiee ne nsu no guu anomee bi mu, san kɔsaw nsu a ɛbɛso yoma no nyinaa nom de bae.
21 Sotheli he bihelde hir priueli, and wolde wite whether the Lord hadde sped his wei, ethir nay.
Ɔsomfo no hwɛɛ Rebeka komm, karii no pɛɛ sɛ ohu sɛ Awurade ama nʼakwantu no asi no yiye ana.
22 Therfor after that the camels drunken, the man brouyte forth goldun eere ryngis, weiynge twei siclis, and as many bies of the arm, in the weiyte of ten siclis.
Yoma no nom nsu no wiee no, ɔsomfo no yii sikakɔkɔɔ hwenemkaa a emu duru kari gram asia ne nkapo abien a ɛno nso mu duru yɛ gram ɔha dunan.
23 And he seide to hir, Whos douyter art thou? schewe thou to me, is ony place in the hows of thi fadir to dwelle?
Na obisae se, “Hena ba ne wo? Mesrɛ wo, yebenya nnabea wɔ wʼagya fi ama ade akye ana?”
24 Which answerde, Y am the douyter of Batuel, sone of Nachor, whom Melcha childide to him.
Rebeka buaa no se, “Betuel babea ne me. Me nananom ne Milka ne Nahor.”
25 And sche addide, seiynge, Also ful myche of prouendre and of hey is at vs, and a large place to dwelle.
Ɔka kaa ho se, “Yɛwɔ sare ne mmoa aduan bebree ne baabi a mo nso mobɛda.”
26 The man bowide hym silf,
Na ɔsomfo no buu nkotodwe, sɔree Awurade Nyankopɔn se,
27 and worschipide the Lord, and seide, Blessid be the Lord God of my lord Abraham, which God took not aweie his mersy and treuthe fro my lord, and ledde me bi riyt weie in to the hous of the brother of my lord.
“Nhyira nka Awurade, me wura Abraham Nyankopɔn, sɛ onnyaee nokwaredi ne ayamye a ɔyɛ ma me wura no. Me de, Awurade adi mʼanim wɔ mʼakwantu yi mu, de me abedu me wura abusuafo fi.”
28 And so the damesel ran, and telde in the hous of hir modir alle thingis whiche sche hadde herd.
Rebeka tuu mmirika kɔkaa nsɛm a asisi no nyinaa kyerɛɛ ne na fifo.
29 Sotheli Rebecca hadde a brothir, Laban bi name, whiche yede out hastili to the man, where he was with out forth.
Na Rebeka wɔ nuabarima bi a ne din de Laban. Laban tee asɛm no, ɔde ahoɔhare kɔɔ ɔbarima no nkyɛn wɔ abura no so.
30 And whanne he hadde seyn the eere ryngis and byes of the arm in the hondis of his sister, and hadde herd alle the wordis of hir tellynge, the man spak to me these thingis, he cam to the man that stood bisidis the camels, and nyy the welle of watir,
Laban huu hwenemkaa no ne nkapo a egu ne nuabea no nsa no, na ɔtee asɛm a ɔbarima no ka kyerɛɛ Rebeka no, ɔkɔɔ ɔbarima no nkyɛn kohuu sɛ ogyina yoma no ho wɔ asubura no so.
31 and seide to him, Entre thou, the blessid of the Lord; whi stondist thou with outforth? I haue maad redi the hows, and a place to thi camels.
Laban ka kyerɛɛ ɔsomfo no se, “Bra, wo a Awurade ahyira wo.” Obisaa ɔsomfo no se, “Adɛn nti na wugyina kurotia ha? Masiesie wo nnabea ne baabi a yoma no nso bɛda.”
32 And he brouyte hym in to the ynne, and unsadlide the camels, and yaf prouendre, and hey, and watir to waische the feet of camels, and of men that camen with hym.
Enti ɔsomfo no kɔɔ fie hɔ maa Laban yiyii nneɛma a ɛwɔ yoma no so no. Wɔmaa yoma no sare ne aduan, afei Laban maa ɔsomfo no ne nnipa a wɔka ne ho no nsu de hohoroo wɔn anan ho.
33 And breed was set forth in his siyt, which seide, Y schal not ete til Y speke my wordis. He answerde to the man, Speke thou.
Eyi akyi no, ɔtoo wɔn pon. Nanso ɔsomfo no kae se, “Merempɛ sɛ medidi, gye sɛ mabɔ mʼamanneɛ.” Laban kae se, “Bɔ wʼamanneɛ ɛ.”
34 And the man seide, Y am the seruaunt of Abraham,
Enti ɔsomfo no bɔɔ nʼamanneɛ se, “Meyɛ Abraham somfo.
35 and the Lord hath blessid my lord greetli, and he is maad greet; and God yaf to hym scheep, and oxun, siluer, and gold, seruauntis, and handmaides, camels, and assis.
Awurade ahyira me wura bebree, ama wayɛ ɔdefo. Wama no nguan ne anantwi, dwetɛ ne sikakɔkɔɔ, nkoa ne mfenaa ne yoma ne mfurum.
36 And Sare, `the wijf of my lord, childide a sone to my lord in his eelde, and he yaf alle thingis that he hadde to that sone.
Bio, me wura yere Sara awo ɔbabarima ama no wɔ ne mmerewabere mu; Awurade na ɔde nea ɔwɔ nyinaa ama no.
37 And my lord chargide me greetli, and seide, Thou schalt not take to my sone a wijf of the douytris of Canaan, in whos lond Y dwelle,
Me wura ma mekaa ntam se, ‘Worenware Kanaanfo a me ne wɔn te yi babea biara mma me babarima Isak.
38 but thou schalt go to the hous of my fadir, and of myn kynrede thou schalt take a wijf to my sone.
Na mmom, wobɛkɔ me man mu, mʼabusuafo nkyɛn, akɔware ɔbea wɔ hɔ abrɛ me babarima Isak.’
39 Forsothe Y answerde to my lord, What if the womman nyle come with me?
“Na mibisaa me wura se, ‘Na sɛ ɛba sɛ, ɔbea no ampene so sɛ ɔne me bɛba ɔman yi mu a, na mereyɛ no dɛn?’
40 He seide, The Lord in whose siyt Y go, schal sende his aungel with thee, and he schal dresse thi weie; and thou schalt take a wijf to my sone of my kynrede, and of my fadris hows.
“Me wura Abraham buae se, ‘Awurade a manantew nʼanim no bɛsoma ne bɔfo, adi wʼanim, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a, wʼakwantu no besi yiye, na woanya ɔyere ama me babarima afi mʼabusua mu a ɛyɛ mʼagya fi no mu.
41 Thou schalt be innocent fro my curs, whanne thou comest to my kynesmen, and thei yyuen not `the womman to thee.
Afei, sɛ ɛba sɛ, woba mʼabusua mu, na sɛ wɔamfa ɔbea no amma wo a, wo ntam a wokae no renkyekyere wo.’
42 Therfor Y cam to day to the welle of watir, and Y seide, Lord God of my lord Abraham, if thou hast dressid my weie in which Y go now, lo!
“Mebaa asubura no so nnɛ no, mesrɛe sɛ, ‘Awurade, me wura Abraham Nyankopɔn, sɛ ɛyɛ wo pɛ a, ma akwantu yi nsi me yiye!
43 Y stonde bisidis the welle of watir, and the maide that schal go out to drawe watir herith me, yyue thou to me a litil of water to drynke of thi pot,
Hwɛ, migyina abura yi so. Sɛ ababaa bi bɛtow nsu wɔ ha, na meka kyerɛ no se, “Mesrɛ wo, soɛ na ma me wo sukuruwa no mu nsu no kakra nnom” no,

na sɛ ɔka se, “Nom bi, na mɛma wo yoma no nso bi anom” a, ɔnyɛ ababaa a Awurade apaw no ama me wura Abraham babarima Isak no.’
45 While Y turnede in thouyte these thingis with me, Rebecca apperide, comynge with a pot which sche bare in the schuldre; and sche yede doun to the welle, and drowe watir. And Y seide to hir, Yyue thou a litil to me to drynke; and sche hastide,
“Ansa na mewie me koma mu mpaebɔ no, Rebeka puee a sukuruwa si ne bati so. Rebeka kɔɔ abura no so, kɔtow nsu, na meka kyerɛɛ no se, ‘Mesrɛ wo, ma me nsu no bi nnom.’
46 and dide doun the pot of the schuldre, and seide to me, And thou drynke, and Y schal yyue drynke to thi camels; Y drank, and watride the camels.
“Ntɛm ara, ɔsoɛɛ ne sukuruwa no kae se, ‘Me wura, gye bi nom na mɛsan asaw nsu no bi abrɛ wo yoma no nyinaa nso anom.’ Enti menom nsu no bi, na ɔmaa yoma no nyinaa nso bi nomee.
47 And Y axide hir, and seide, Whos douytir art thou? Which answerde, Y am the douytir of Batuel, sone of Nachor, whom Melcha childide to him. And so Y hangide eere ryngis to ourne hir face, and Y puttide bies of the arm in hir hondis,
“Mibisaa no se, ‘Hena ba ne wo?’ “Rebeka buae se, ‘Betuel ba ne me. Me nenanom ne Milka ne Nahor.’ “Ɛhɔ ara na mede hwenemkaa no hyɛɛ ne hwenem, na mede nkapo no nso guu ne nsa.
48 and lowliche Y worschipide the Lord, and Y blessid the Lord God of my lord Abraham, which God ledde me bi riyt weie, that Y schulde take the douytir of the brothir of my lord to his sone.
Afei, mebɔɔ me mu ase sɔree Awurade. Mekamfoo Awurade a ɔyɛ me wura, Abraham Nyankopɔn, a wadi mʼanim de me afa ɔkwan pa so, ama manya me wura nuabarima nena aware ama ne babarima no.
49 Wherfor if ye don mercy and treuthe with `my lord, schewe ye to me; ellis if othir thing plesith, also seie ye this, that Y go to the riyt side ethir to the left side.
Afei, sɛ wobɛyɛ me wura adɔe adi no nokware a, ka kyerɛ me. Sɛ ɛnte saa nso a, ka kyerɛ me, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a, mehu ɔkwan ko a mɛfa so.”
50 Laban and Batuel answeriden, The word is gon out of the Lord; we moun not speke ony other thing with thee without his plesaunce.
Laban ne Betuel buae se, “Saa asɛm yi fi Awurade nti, yenni ho asɛm biara.
51 Lo! Rebecca is bifore thee; take thou hir, and go forth, and be sche wijf of the sone of thi lord, as the Lord spak.
Rebeka ni. Momfa no nkɔ, na ɔnkɔware mo wura no babarima no, sɛnea Awurade ahyɛ no.”
52 And whanne the child of Abraham hadde herd this, he felde doun, and worschipide the Lord in erthe.
Bere a Abraham somfo no tee nea wɔkae no, obuu nkotodwe wɔ Awurade anim.
53 And whanne vessels of siluer, and of gold, and clothis weren brouyt forth, he yaf tho to Rebecca for yifte, and he yaf yiftis to hir britheren, and modir.

55 Hir britheren and modir answerden, The damesele dwelle nameli ten daies at vs, and aftirward sche schal go forth.
Nanso Rebeka nuabarima no ne ne na buaa ɔsomfo no se, “Ma ababaa no ntena yɛn nkyɛn bɛyɛ sɛ nnafua du bi, na ɛno akyi, wode no akɔ.”
56 The child seide, Nyle ye holde me, for the Lord hath dressid my weie; delyuere ye me, that I go to my lord.

57 And thei seiden, Clepe we the damysele, and axe we hir wille.
Afei, wosii gyinae sɛ, “Momma yɛmfrɛ ababaa no, na yemmisa nʼadwene.”
58 And whanne sche was clepid, and cam, thei axiden, Wolt thou go with this man?
Enti wɔfrɛɛ Rebeka bisaa no se, “Wopɛ sɛ wo ne saa ɔbarima yi kɔ ana?” Rebeka buae se, “Yiw, mɛkɔ!”
59 And sche seide, Y schal go. Therfor they delyueriden hir, and hir nurse, and the seruaunt of Abraham, and hise felowis, and wischiden prosperitees to her sister,
Enti wogyaa Rebeka ne ɔbea a ogyigyee no ne mmofraase no ne Abraham somfo no ne ne nkurɔfo kwan.
60 and seiden, Thou art oure sister, encreesse thou in to a thousand thousandis, and thi seed gete the yatis of hise enemyes.
