Genesis 22
1 And aftir that these thingis weren don, God assaiede Abraham, and seide to hym, Abraham! Abraham! He answerde, Y am present.
Sedan det skedt var, försökte Gud Abraham, och sade till honom: Abraham. Och han svarade: Här är jag.
2 God seide to him, Take thi `sone oon gendrid, whom thou louest, Ysaac; and go into the lond of visioun, and offre thou hym there in to brent sacrifice, on oon of the hillis whiche Y schal schewe to thee.
Och han sade: Tag Isaac din enda son, den du kär hafver, och gack bort uti Moria land, och offra honom der till ett bränneoffer på ett berg, det jag dig sägandes varder.
3 Therfor Abraham roos bi niyt, and sadlide his asse, and ledde with hym twey yonge men, and Ysaac his sone; and whanne he hadde hewe trees in to brent sacrifice, he yede to the place which God hadde comaundid to him.
Då stod Abraham bittida upp om morgonen, och sadlade sin åsna, och tog med sig två drängar, och sin son Isaac, och högg sönder ved till bränneoffer, stod upp och gick bort till det rum, som Gud honom sagt hade.
4 Forsothe in the thridde dai he reiside hise iyen, and seiy a place afer;
På tredje dagen hof Abraham sin ögon upp, och såg rummet långt ifrå.
5 and he seide to hise children, Abide ye here with the asse, Y and the child schulen go thidur; and aftir that we han worschipid, we schulen turne ayen to you.
Och sade till sina drängar: Blifver I här med åsnanom, jag och pilten viljom gå dit bort, och när vi tillbedit hafvom, vilje vi komma igen till eder.
6 And he took the trees of brent sacrifice, and puttide on Ysaac his sone; forsothe he bar fier, and a swerd in hise hondis. And whanne thei tweyne yeden togidere, Isaac seide to his fadir, My fadir!
Och Abraham tog veden till bränneoffret, och lade den på sin son Isaac: Men han tog elden och knifven i sina hand, och gingo så både tillsamman.
7 And he answerde, What wolt thou, sone? He seide, Lo! fier and trees, where is the beeste of brent sacrifice?
Då sade Isaac till sin fader Abraham: Min fader. Abraham svarade: Här är jag, min son. Och han sade: Si, här är elden och veden, hvar är nu fåret till bränneoffret?
8 Abraham seide, My sone, God schal puruey to hym the beeste of brent sacrifice.
Abraham svarade: Gud förser väl fåret, min son, till bränneoffret: Och de gingo både tillsamman.
9 Therfor thei yeden to gidere, and camen to the place whiche God hadde schewid to hym, in which place Abraham bildide an auter, and dresside trees a boue; and whanne he hadde bounde to gidere Ysaac, his sone, he puttide Ysaac in the auter, on the heep of trees.
Och som de kommo till rummet, der Gud honom af sagt hade, byggde Abraham der ett altare, och lade veden deruppå; bandt sin son Isaac, och lade honom på altaret, ofvan på veden.
10 And he helde forth his hond, and took the swerd to sacrifice his sone.
Och uträckte sina hand, och tog till knifven, att han skulle slagta sin son.
11 And lo! an aungel of the Lord criede fro heuene, and seide, Abraham! Abraham!
Då ropade honom Herrans Ängel af himmelen och sade: Abraham, Abraham. Han svarade: Här är jag.
12 Which answerde, I am present. And the aungel seide to hym, Holde thou not forth thin honde on the child, nether do thou ony thing to him; now Y haue knowe that thou dredist God, and sparidist not thin oon gendrid sone for me.
Han sade: Kom intet dina hand vid pilten, och gör honom intet; ty nu vet jag att du fruktar Gud, och hafver icke skonat din enda son för mina skull.
13 Abraham reiside hise iyen, and he seiy `bihynde his bak a ram cleuynge bi hornes among breris, which he took, and offride brent sacrifice for the sone.
Då hof Abraham sin ögon upp, och såg en vädur bak sig, bekajad med hornen uti en törnebuska: Och gick dit, och tog den väduren, och offrade honom till ett bränneoffer i sins sons stad.
14 And he clepide the name of that place, The Lord seeth; wherfore it is seyd, til to dai, The Lord schal see in the hil.
Och Abraham kallade det rummet, Herren ser; af hvilko man ännu i dag säger: På berget, der Herren sedd varder.
15 Forsothe the aungel of the Lord clepide Abraham the secounde tyme fro heuene,
Och Herrans Ängel ropade åter till Abraham af himmelen,
16 and seide, The Lord seith, Y haue swore bi my silf, for thou hast do this thing, and hast not sparid thin oon gendrid for me,
Och sade: Jag hafver svorit vid mig sjelf, säger Herren, efter du detta gjorde, och icke skonade din enda son,
17 Y schal blesse thee, and Y schal multiplie thi seed as the sterris of heuene, and as grauel which is in the brynk of the see; thi seed schal gete the yatis of hise enemyes;
Att jag skall välsigna, och föröka dina säd såsom stjernorna på himmelen, och såsom sanden på hafsens strand: Och dina säd skall besitta sina fiendars portar.
18 and alle the folkis of erthe schulen be blessid in thi seed, for thou obeiedist to my vois.
Och i dine säd skall allt folk på jordene välsignadt varda; derföre, att du mine röst lydt hafver.
19 Abraham turnede ayen to hise children, and thei yeden to Bersabee to gidere, and he dwellide there.
Sedan gick Abraham till drängarna igen, och gjorde sig redo, och drogo tillsammans till BerSaba, och bodde der.
20 And so whanne these thingis weren don, it was teld to Abraham that also Melcha hadde bore sones to Nachor his brother;
Då detta så skedt var, begaf sig, att Abraham vardt sagdt: Si, Milca hafver ock födt barn dinom broder Nahor;
21 Hus the firste gendrid, and Buz his brothir, and Chamuhel the fadir of Sireis,
Nemliga Uz den förstfödda, och Bus hans broder, och Kemuel, af hvilkom de Syrier komne äro:
22 and Cased, and Asan, and Feldas,
Och Kesed, och Haso, och Pildas, och Jidlaph, och Bethuel.
23 and Jedlaf, and Batuhel, of whom Rebecca was borun; Melcha childide these eiyte to Nachor brother of Abraham.
Men Bethuel födde Rebecka. Dessa åtta födde Milca Nahor, Abrahams broder.
24 Forsothe his concubyn, Roma bi name, childide Thabee, and Gaon, and Thaas, and Maacha.
Och hans frilla benämnd Rehuma födde ock, nemliga Tebah, Gaham, Thahas och Maacha.
