Genesis 21
1 Forsothe God visitide Sare, as he bihiyte, and fillide tho thingis, that he spak.
Đức Giê-hô-va đến viếng Sa-ra, theo như lời Ngài đã phán, và làm cho nàng như lời Ngài đã nói.
2 And sche conseyuede, and childide a sone in hir eeld, in the tyme wherynne God biforseide to hir.
Sa-ra thọ thai, sanh một con trai cho Aùp-ra-ham trong khi tuổi đã già, đúng kỳ Đức Chúa Trời đã định.
3 And Abraham clepide the name of his sone, whom Sare childide to him, Ysaac.
Aùp-ra-ham đặt tên đứa trai mà Sa-ra đã sanh cho mình là Y-sác.
4 And Abraham circumcidide hym in the eiyte dai, as God comaundide to him,
Đúng tám ngày, Aùp-ra-ham làm phép cắt bì cho Y-sác theo như lời Đức Chúa Trời đã phán dặn.
5 whanne he was of an hundrid yeer; for Ysaac was borun in this age of the fadir.
Vả, khi Y-sác ra đời, thì Aùp-ra-ham đã được một trăm tuổi.
6 And Sare seide, The Lord made leiyynge to me, and who euer schal here schal leiye with me.
Sa-ra nói rằng: Đức Chúa Trời làm cho tôi một việc vui cười; hết thảy ai hay được cũng sẽ vui cười về sự của tôi.
7 And eft sche seide, Who schulde here, and bileue to Abraham, that Sare schulde yyue soukyng to a sone, whom sche childide to him now an eld man?
Lại nói rằng: Há ai dám nói với Aùp-ra-ham rằng Sa-ra sẽ cho con bú ư? vì tôi đã sanh một đứa trai trong lúc người già yếu rồi.
8 Therfor the child encreesside, and was wenyd; and Abraham made a greet feeste in the dai of his wenyng.
Đứa trẻ lớn lên, thì thôi bú. Chính ngày Y-sác thôi bú, Aùp-ra-ham bày một tiệc lớn ăn mừng.
9 And whanne Sare seiy the sone of Agar Egipcian pleiynge with Ysaac hir sone, sche seide to Abraham,
Sa-ra thấy đứa trai của A-ga, người Ê-díp-tô, đã sanh cho Aùp-ra-ham, cười cợt,
10 Cast thou out the handmayde and hir sone; for the sone of the handmayde schal not be eir with my sone Ysaac.
thì người nói với Aùp-ra-ham rằng: Hãy đuổi con đòi với con nó đi đi, vì đứa trai của con đòi nầy sẽ chẳng được kế nghiệp cùng con trai tôi là Y-sác đâu.
11 Abraham took this heuyli for his sone;
Lời nầy lấy làm buồn lòng Aùp-ra-ham lắm, vì cớ con trai mình.
12 and God seide to hym, Be it not seyn scharp to thee on the child, and on thin handmayde; alle thingis whiche Sare seith to thee, here thou hir vois, for in Isaac seed schal be clepid to thee;
Nhưng Đức Chúa Trời phán cùng Aùp-ra-ham rằng: Ngươi chớ buồn bực vì con trai và con đòi ngươi. Sa-ra nói thể nào, hãy nghe theo tiếng người nói; vì do nơi Y-sác sẽ sanh ra dòng dõi lưu danh ngươi.
13 but also I schal make the sone of the handmaid in to a greet folk, for he is thi seed.
Ta cũng sẽ làm cho đứa trai của con đòi trở nên một dân, vì nó cũng do nơi ngươi mà ra.
14 And so Abraham roos eerli, and took breed, and a botel of watir, and puttide on hir schuldre, and bitook the child, and lefte hir; and whanne sche hadde go, sche yede out of the weie in the wildirnesse of Bersabee.
Aùp-ra-ham dậy sớm, lấy bánh và một bầu nước, đưa cho A-ga; để các món đó trên vai nàng, và giao đứa trai cho nàng, rồi đuổi đi. Nàng ra đi, đi dông dài trong đồng vắng Bê-e-Sê-ba.
15 And whanne the watir in the botel was endid, sche castide awei the child vndur a tre that was there;
Khi nước trong bầu đã hết, nàng để đứa trẻ dưới một cội cây nhỏ kia,
16 and sche yede awei, and sche sat euene ayens as fer as a bowe may caste; for sche seide, Y schal not se the child diynge; and sche sat ayens, and reiside hir vois, and wepte.
đi ngồi đối diện cách xa xa dài chừng một khoảng tên bắn; vì nói rằng: Oâi! tôi nỡ nào thấy đứa trẻ phải chết! Nàng ngồi đối diện đó, cất tiếng la khóc.
17 Forsothe the Lord herde the vois of the child, and the aungel of the Lord clepide Agar fro heuene, and seide, What doist thou, Agar? nyle thou drede, for God hath herd the vois of the child fro the place where ynne he is.
Đức Chúa Trời nghe tiếng đứa trẻ khóc, thì thiên sứ của Đức Chúa Trời từ trên trời kêu nàng A-ga mà phán rằng: Hỡi A-ga! Ngươi có điều gì vậy? Chớ sợ chi, vì Đức Chúa Trời đã nghe tiếng đứa trẻ ở đâu đó rồi.
18 Rise thou, and take the child, and holde his hoond; for Y schal make hym in to a greet folc.
Hãy đứng dậy đỡ lấy đứa trẻ và giơ tay nắm nó, vì ta sẽ làm cho nó nên một dân lớn.
19 And God openyde hir iyen, and sche seiy a pit of watir, and sche yede, and fillide the botel, and sche yaf drynk to the child;
Đoạn, Đức Chúa Trời mở mắt nàng ra; nàng bèn thấy một cái giếng nước, và đi lại múc đầy bầu cho đứa trẻ uống.
20 and was with him, and he encresside, and dwellide in wildernesse, and he was maad a yong man an archer,
Đức Chúa Trời vùa giúp đứa trẻ; nó lớn lên, ở trong đồng vắng, có tài bắn cung.
21 and dwellide in the deseert of Faran; and his modir took to him a wijf of the lond of Egipt.
Nó ở tại trong đồng vắng Pha-ran; mẹ cưới cho nó một người vợ quê ở xứ Ê-díp-tô.
22 In the same tyme Abymelech, and Ficol, prince of his oost, seide to Abraham, God is with thee in alle thingis whiche thou doist;
Về thuở đó, vua A-bi-mê-léc và Phi-côn, quan tổng binh mình, nói cùng Aùp-ra-ham rằng: Đức Chúa Trời vùa giúp ngươi trong mọi việc ngươi làm.
23 therfore swere thou bi God that thou noye not me, and myn eiris, and my kynrede; but bi the mersi whych Y dide to thee, do thou to me, and to the lond in which thou lyuedist a comelyng.
Vậy bây giờ, hãy chỉ danh Đức Chúa Trời mà thề rằng: Ngươi sẽ chẳng gạt ta, con ta cùng dòng giống ta. Nhưng ngươi sẽ đãi ta và xứ ngươi đang trú ngụ, một lòng tử tế như ta đã đãi ngươi vậy.
24 And Abraham seide, Y schal swere.
Aùp-ra-ham đáp rằng: Tôi xin thề.
25 And he blamyde Abymelech for the pit of watir, which hise seruauntis token awey bi violence.
Aùp-ra-ham phàn nàn cùng vua A-bi-mê-léc về vụ một giếng kia bị đầy tớ người chiếm đoạt.
26 And Abymelech answerde, I wiste not who dide this thing, but also thou schewidist not to me, and Y herde not outakun to dai.
Vua A-bi-mê-léc bèn nói rằng: Ta chẳng hay ai đã làm nên nông nổi đó; chính ngươi chẳng cho ta hay trước; ngày nay ta mới rõ đây mà thôi.
27 And so Abraham took scheep and oxun, and yaf to Abymalech, and bothe smyten a boond of pees.
Đoạn, Aùp-ra-ham bắt chiên và bò, dâng cho vua A-bi-mê-léc; rồi hai người kết ước cùng nhau.
28 And Abraham settide seuene ewe lambren of the flok asidis half.
Aùp-ra-ham lựa để riêng ra bảy con chiên tơ trong bầy;
29 And Abymelech seide to hym, What wolen these seuene ewe lambren to hem silf, whiche thou madist stonde asidis half?
thì vua A-bi-mê-léc hỏi rằng: Làm chi để bảy con chiên tơ đó riêng ra vậy?
30 And he seide, Thou schalt take of myn hond seuene ewe lambren, that tho be in to witnessyng to me, for Y diggide this pit.
Đáp rằng: Xin vua hãy nhận lấy bảy con chiên tơ nầy mà chính tay tôi dâng cho, đặng làm chứng rằng tôi đã đào cái giếng nầy.
31 Therfor thilke place was clepid Bersabee, for euere eithir swore there;
Bởi cớ ấy, nên họ đặt tên chỗ nầy là Bê-e-Sê-ba; vì tại đó hai người đều đã thề nguyện cùng nhau.
32 and thei maden boond of pees for the pit of an ooth.
Vậy, hai người kết ước cùng nhau tại Bê-e-Sê-ba. Đoạn vua A-bi-mê-léc cùng quan tổng binh Phi-côn đứng dậy, trở về xứ Phi-li-tin.
33 Forsothe Abymelech roos, and Ficol, prince of his chyualrie, and thei turneden ayen in to the lond of Palestyns. Sotheli Abraham plauntide a wode in Bersabee, and inwardli clepide there the name of euerlastinge God;
Aùp-ra-ham trồng một cây me tại Bê-e-Sê-ba, và ở đó người cầu khẩn danh Đức Giê-hô-va, là Đức Chúa Trời hằng-hữu.
34 and he was an erthetiliere ether a comelynge of the lond of Palestynes in many dayes.
Aùp-ra-ham trú ngụ lâu ngày tại xứ Phi-li-tin.
