Genesis 21
1 Forsothe God visitide Sare, as he bihiyte, and fillide tho thingis, that he spak.
Az Örökkévaló pedig gondolt Sárára, amint mondta és cselekedett az Örökkévaló Sárával, amint szólt.
2 And sche conseyuede, and childide a sone in hir eeld, in the tyme wherynne God biforseide to hir.
Sára fogant és szült Ábrahámnak fiat, az ő öregségére, azon időre, melyről szólt neki Isten.
3 And Abraham clepide the name of his sone, whom Sare childide to him, Ysaac.
És elnevezte Ábrahám az ő fiát, aki született neki, akit szült neki Sára: Izsáknak.
4 And Abraham circumcidide hym in the eiyte dai, as God comaundide to him,
És körülmetélte Ábrahám Izsákot, az ő fiát nyolc napos korában, amint megparancsolta neki Isten.
5 whanne he was of an hundrid yeer; for Ysaac was borun in this age of the fadir.
Ábrahám pedig száz éves volt, midőn született neki Izsák, az ő fia.
6 And Sare seide, The Lord made leiyynge to me, and who euer schal here schal leiye with me.
És mondta Sára: Nevetséget tett velem Isten; mindenki, aki hallja, nevetni fog rajtam.
7 And eft sche seide, Who schulde here, and bileue to Abraham, that Sare schulde yyue soukyng to a sone, whom sche childide to him now an eld man?
És mondta: Ki mondta volna Ábrahámnak; fiakat szoptat Sára, hogy én szültem fiat az ő öregségére.
8 Therfor the child encreesside, and was wenyd; and Abraham made a greet feeste in the dai of his wenyng.
És felnövekedett a gyermek és elválasztatott. És csinált Ábrahám nagy lakomát, amely napon elválasztatott Izsák.
9 And whanne Sare seiy the sone of Agar Egipcian pleiynge with Ysaac hir sone, sche seide to Abraham,
És látta Sára az egyiptomi Hágár fiát, akit az szült Ábrahámnak, amint gúnyolódik.
10 Cast thou out the handmayde and hir sone; for the sone of the handmayde schal not be eir with my sone Ysaac.
És mondta Ábrahámnak: Űzd el ezt a szolgálót és az ő fiát, hogy ne örököljön ennek a szolgálónak a fia az én fiammal; Izsákkal.
11 Abraham took this heuyli for his sone;
De nagyon visszatetszett a dolog Ábrahám szemeiben, az ő fia miatt.
12 and God seide to hym, Be it not seyn scharp to thee on the child, and on thin handmayde; alle thingis whiche Sare seith to thee, here thou hir vois, for in Isaac seed schal be clepid to thee;
És mondta Isten Ábrahámnak: Ne legyen visszatetsző szemeidben a fiú miatt és szolgálód miatt; mindenben, amit mond neked Sára, hallgass szavára, mert Izsákról fog elneveztetni magzatod.
13 but also I schal make the sone of the handmaid in to a greet folk, for he is thi seed.
De a szolgáló fiát is néppé fogom tenni, mert magzatod ő.
14 And so Abraham roos eerli, and took breed, and a botel of watir, and puttide on hir schuldre, and bitook the child, and lefte hir; and whanne sche hadde go, sche yede out of the weie in the wildirnesse of Bersabee.
És fölkelt Ábrahám kora reggel, vett kenyeret, egy tömlő vizet és odaadta Hágárnak; föltette a vállára, meg a gyermeket és elbocsátotta. Az pedig elment és bolyongott Beér-Seva pusztájában.
15 And whanne the watir in the botel was endid, sche castide awei the child vndur a tre that was there;
Midőn kifogyott a víz a tömlőből, odadobta a gyermeket a bokrok egyike alá.
16 and sche yede awei, and sche sat euene ayens as fer as a bowe may caste; for sche seide, Y schal not se the child diynge; and sche sat ayens, and reiside hir vois, and wepte.
Ő pedig elment és leült szemközt egy íjlövésnyi távolságra, mert azt mondta: Ne lássam a gyermek halálát; és leült szemközt, fölemelte hangját és sírt.
17 Forsothe the Lord herde the vois of the child, and the aungel of the Lord clepide Agar fro heuene, and seide, What doist thou, Agar? nyle thou drede, for God hath herd the vois of the child fro the place where ynne he is.
És Isten meghallotta a fiú hangját és szólította Isten angyala Hágárt az égből és mondta neki: Mi bajod Hágár? Ne félj, mert Isten meghallotta a fiú hangját ott, ahol ő van.
18 Rise thou, and take the child, and holde his hoond; for Y schal make hym in to a greet folc.
Kelj föl, vedd föl a fiút, fogd meg erősen kezeddel őt, mert nagy néppé teszem őt.
19 And God openyde hir iyen, and sche seiy a pit of watir, and sche yede, and fillide the botel, and sche yaf drynk to the child;
És megnyitotta Isten szemeit (Hágárnak) és látott egy kutat vízzel; odament, megtöltötte a tömlőt vízzel és megitatta a fiút.
20 and was with him, and he encresside, and dwellide in wildernesse, and he was maad a yong man an archer,
És Isten vele volt a fiúval és az felnőtt, a pusztában lakott és íjász lett.
21 and dwellide in the deseert of Faran; and his modir took to him a wijf of the lond of Egipt.
És lakott Poron pusztájában, anyja pedig vett neki feleséget Egyiptom országából.
22 In the same tyme Abymelech, and Ficol, prince of his oost, seide to Abraham, God is with thee in alle thingis whiche thou doist;
És történt abban az időben, hogy szólt Ávimelech és Fichól, az ő hadvezére Ábrahámhoz mondván: Isten veled van mindenben, amit teszel;
23 therfore swere thou bi God that thou noye not me, and myn eiris, and my kynrede; but bi the mersi whych Y dide to thee, do thou to me, and to the lond in which thou lyuedist a comelyng.
azért most esküdjél meg nekem itt Istenre, hogy nem fogsz csalárdul cselekedni sem velem, sem gyermekemmel, sem unokámmal! De azon kegyesség szerint, mellyel én cselekedtem veled, cselekszel te velem és az országgal, melyben tartózkodtál.
24 And Abraham seide, Y schal swere.
És mondta Ábrahám: Én esküszöm!
25 And he blamyde Abymelech for the pit of watir, which hise seruauntis token awey bi violence.
És megfeddte Ábrahám Ávimelechet a kút miatt, melyet erőszakkal elvettek Ávimelech szolgái.
26 And Abymelech answerde, I wiste not who dide this thing, but also thou schewidist not to me, and Y herde not outakun to dai.
És mondta Ávimelech: Nem tudom ki tette ezt a dolgot, te sem adtad tudtomra és én nem is hallottam, csak ma.
27 And so Abraham took scheep and oxun, and yaf to Abymalech, and bothe smyten a boond of pees.
És Ábrahám vett juhot és marhát és Ávimelechnek adta és ők ketten kötöttek szövetséget.
28 And Abraham settide seuene ewe lambren of the flok asidis half.
És Ábrahám külön állította a hét juhbárányt.
29 And Abymelech seide to hym, What wolen these seuene ewe lambren to hem silf, whiche thou madist stonde asidis half?
És mondta Ávimelech Ábrahámnak: Mire való ez a hét juhbárány, melyet különállítottál?
30 And he seide, Thou schalt take of myn hond seuene ewe lambren, that tho be in to witnessyng to me, for Y diggide this pit.
Ő pedig mondta: Hogy a hét bárányt fogadd el kezemből, azért, hogy legyen nekem tanúbizonyságul, hogy én ástam ezt a kutat
31 Therfor thilke place was clepid Bersabee, for euere eithir swore there;
Azért nevezte azt a helységet Beér-Sevának, mert ott esküdtek mindketten.
32 and thei maden boond of pees for the pit of an ooth.
És szövetséget kötöttek Beér-Sevában; azután fölkerekedett Ávimelech és Fichól, az ő hadvezére visszatértek a filiszteusok földjére.
33 Forsothe Abymelech roos, and Ficol, prince of his chyualrie, and thei turneden ayen in to the lond of Palestyns. Sotheli Abraham plauntide a wode in Bersabee, and inwardli clepide there the name of euerlastinge God;
És (Ábrahám) ültetett ligetet Beér-Sevában és hívta ott az Örökkévalót, az örök Istent.
34 and he was an erthetiliere ether a comelynge of the lond of Palestynes in many dayes.
És Ábrahám tartózkodott a filiszteusok földjén sok ideig.
