Genesis 19
1 And tweyne aungels camen to Sodom in the euentide, while Loth sat in the yatis of the citee. And whanne he hadde seyn hem, he roos, and yede ayens hem, and worschipide lowe to erthe,
१संध्याकाळी ते दोन देवदूत सदोमास आले, त्या वेळी लोट सदोमाच्या वेशीजवळ बसला होता. लोटाने त्यांना पाहिले, तो त्यांना भेटण्यास उठला, आणि त्याने भूमीपर्यंत तोंड लववून त्यांना नमन केले.
2 and seide, My lordis, Y biseche, bowe ye in to the hous of youre child, and dwelle ye there; waische ye youre feet, and in the morewtid ye schulen go in to youre weie. Whiche seiden, Nay, but we schulen dwelle in the street.
२तो म्हणाला, “माझ्या स्वामी, मी तुम्हास विनंती करतो की, कृपा करून तुम्ही आपल्या सेवकाच्या घरात या, आपले पाय धुवा, आणि आजची रात्र मुक्काम करा.” मग तुम्ही लवकर उठून तुमच्या मार्गाने जा. पण ते म्हणाले, “नाही, आम्ही रात्र नगरातील चौकात घालवू.”
3 He constreynede hem greetli, that thei schulden turne to hym. And whanne thei weren entrid in to his hous, he made a feeste, he bakide therf breed, and thei eten.
३परंतु लोटाने त्यांना आग्रहाने विनंती केली, म्हणून ते त्याच्याबरोबर त्याच्या घरी गेले. त्याने त्यांच्यासाठी जेवण तयार केले व बेखमीर भाकरी भाजल्या आणि ते जेवले.
4 Forsothe bifore that thei yeden to sleepe, men of the citee compassiden his hows, fro a child `til to an eld man, al the puple togidre;
४परंतु ते झोपण्यापूर्वी, त्या नगरातील मनुष्यांनी, सदोम नगराच्या सर्व भागातील तरुण व वृद्ध अशा सर्व माणसांनी लोटाच्या घराला वेढले.
5 and thei clepiden Loth, and seiden to him, Where ben the men that entriden to thee to nyyt? brynge hem out hidur, that we `knowe hem.
५त्यांनी लोटाला हाक मारून म्हटले “आज रात्री तुझ्याकडे आलेली माणसे कोठे आहेत? त्यांना आमच्याकडे बाहेर आण; म्हणजे आम्ही त्यांच्याशी समागम करू.”
6 And Loth yede out to hem `bihynde the bak, and closide the dore,
६लोट घराच्या दारातून बाहेर त्यांच्याकडे आला व त्याने आपल्यामागे दार बंद करून घेतले.
7 and seide, Y biseche, nyle ye, my britheren, nyle ye do this yuel.
७तो म्हणाला, “माझ्या बंधूनो, मी तुम्हास विनंती करतो, तुम्ही असे भयंकर वाईट काम करू नका.
8 Y haue twey douytris, that knewen not yit man; Y schal lede out hem to you, and mys vse ye hem as it plesith you, so that ye doon noon yuel to these men, for thei entriden vndur the schadewe of my roof.
८पाहा, माझ्या दोन मुली आहेत ज्यांचा अद्याप कोणाही पुरुषाशी संबंध आला नाही. मी तुम्हास विनंती करतो, मला त्यांना तुमच्याकडे बाहेर आणू द्या, आणि तुम्हास जे चांगले दिसेल तसे त्यांना करा. फक्त या मनुष्यांना काही करू नका, कारण ते माझ्या छपराच्या सावलीखाली राहण्यास आले आहेत.”
9 And thei seiden, Go thou fro hennus. And eft thei seiden, Thou entridist as a comelyng; wher that thou deme? therfor we schulen turment thee more than these. And thei diden violentli to Loth ful greetli. Thanne it was nyy that thei wolden breke the doris; and lo!
९ते म्हणाले, “बाजूला हो!” ते असेही म्हणाले, “हा आमच्यात परराष्ट्रीय म्हणून राहण्यास आला. आणि आता हा आमचा न्यायाधीश बनू पाहत आहे! आता आम्ही तुझे त्यांच्यापेक्षा वाईट करू.” ते त्या मनुष्यास म्हणजे लोटाला अधिक जोराने लोटू लागले व दरवाजा तोडण्यास ते जवळ आले.
10 the men puttiden hoond, and ledden in Loth to hem, and thei closiden the dore.
१०परंतु त्या पुरुषांनी त्यांचा हात बाहेर काढून लोटाला आपणाजवळ घरात घेऊन दार बंद केले.
11 And thei smyten with blyndenesse hem that weren withoutforth, fro the leest til to the moost; so that thei myyten not fynde the dore.
११लोटाच्या पाहुण्यांनी घराच्या दाराबाहेर जी सर्व तरुण व म्हातारी माणसे होती, त्यांना आंधळे करून टाकले. ते घराचे दार शोधण्याचा प्रयत्न करून करून थकून गेले.
12 Forsothe thei seiden to Loth, Hast thou here ony man of thine, hosebonde of thi douyter, ethir sones, ethir douytris; lede thou out of this citee alle men that ben thine,
१२मग ते पुरुष लोटाला म्हणाले, “तुझे दुसरे कोणी येथे आहे काय? जावई, तुझी मुले, तुझ्या मुली आणि तुझे जे कोणी या नगरात आहेत त्यांना येथून बाहेर काढ.
13 for we schulen do a wey this place, for the cry of hem encreesside bifor the Lord, which sente vs that we leese hem.
१३यासाठी की, आम्ही या ठिकाणाचा नाश करणार आहोत. कारण या लोकांच्या दुष्टतेचा फार मोठा बोभाटा परमेश्वरासमोर झाला आहे, म्हणून त्याने आम्हांला या नगराचा नाश करण्यासाठी पाठवले आहे.”
14 And so Loth yede out, and spak to the hosebondys of his douytris, that schulden take hise douytris, and seide, Rise ye, and go ye out of this place; for the Lord schal do awey this citee. And he was seyn to hem to speke as pleiynge.
१४मग लोट बाहेर गेला व ज्या मनुष्यांनी त्याच्या मुलींशी लग्न केले होते त्या आपल्या जावायांना तो म्हणाला, “उठा, तुम्ही, लवकर या ठिकाणातून बाहेर पडा; कारण परमेश्वर देव या नगराचा नाश करणार आहे.” परंतु लोट गंमत करत आहे असे त्याच्या जावयांना वाटले.
15 And whanne the morewtid was, the aungels constreyneden hym, and seiden, Rise thou, and take thi wijf, and thi twey douytris whiche thou hast, lest also thou perische to gidere in the synne of the citee.
१५मग पहाट झाल्यावर दूत लोटाला घाई करून म्हणाले, “ऊठ, या नगराला शिक्षा होणार आहे; तेव्हा तू, तुझी पत्नी व तुझ्या येथे असलेल्या दोन मुली यांना घेऊन नीघ म्हणजे मग या नगराच्या शिक्षेत तुमचा नाश होणार नाही.”
16 While he dissymelide, thei token his hond, and the hond of his wijf, and of his twey doutris; for the Lord sparide hym.
१६परंतु तो उशीर करीत राहिला. तेव्हा परमेश्वराची त्याच्यावर कृपा होती, म्हणून त्या पुरुषांनी त्याचा हात आणि त्याच्या पत्नीचा आणि त्याच्या दोन मुलींचे हात धरून त्यांना बाहेर आणले आणि नगराबाहेर आणून सोडले.
17 And thei ledden out hym, and settiden with out the citee. There thei spaken to him, and seiden, Saue thou thi lijf; nyle thou biholde bihynde thi bac, nether stond thou in al the cuntre aboute, but make thee saaf in the hil; lest also thou perische togidere.
१७त्यांनी त्यांना बाहेर आणल्यावर त्यातील एक पुरुष म्हणाला, “आता पळा व तुमचे जीव वाचवा, नगराकडे मागे वळून पाहू नका आणि या मैदानात कोणत्याही ठिकाणी थांबू नका; डोंगराकडे निसटून जा म्हणजे तुमचा नाश होणार नाही.”
18 And Loth seide to hem, My lord, Y biseche,
१८लोट त्यांना म्हणाला, “हे माझ्या प्रभू, असे नको, कृपा कर!
19 for thi seruaunt hath founde grace bifore thee, and thou hast magnyfied thi grace and mercy, which thou hast do with me, that thou schuldist saue my lijf; Y may not be saued in the hil, lest perauenture yuel take me, and Y die;
१९माझा जीव वाचवून तू माझ्यावर मोठी दया दाखवली आहेस आणि तुझी कृपादृष्टी तुझ्या दासास प्राप्त झाली आहे, परंतु मी डोंगरापर्यंत पळून जाऊ शकणार नाही, कारण आपत्ती मला गाठेल व मी मरून जाईन.
20 a litil citee is here bisidis, to which Y may fle, and Y schal be saued ther ynne; where it is not a litil citee? and my soule schal lyue ther ynne.
२०पाहा, पळून जाण्यासाठी हे नगर जवळ आहे, आणि ते लहान आहे, कृपा करून मला तिकडे पळून जाऊ दे, ते लहान नाही काय? म्हणजे माझा जीव वाचेल.”
21 And he seide to Loth, Lo! also in this Y haue resseyued thi preieris, that Y distrye not the citee, for which thou hast spoke;
२१तो त्यास म्हणाला, “ठीक आहे, मी तुझी ही विनंतीसुद्धा मान्य करतो. तू उल्लेख केलेल्या नगराचा नाश मी करणार नाही.
22 haste thou, and be thou saued there, for Y may not do ony thing til thou entre thidur. Therfor the name of that citee was clepid Segor.
२२त्वरा कर! तिकडे पळून जा, कारण तू तेथे पोहचेपर्यंत मला काही करता येणार नाही.” यावरुन त्या नगराला सोअर असे नाव पडले.
23 The sunne roos on erthe, and Loth entride in to Segor.
२३जेव्हा लोट सोअर नगरामध्ये पोहचला तेव्हा सूर्य उगवला होता,
24 Therfor the Lord reynede on Sodom and Gomorre brynston and fier, fro the Lord fro heuene,
२४नंतर परमेश्वराने सदोम व गमोरा या नगरांवर आकाशातून गंधक व अग्नी यांचा वर्षाव केला.
25 and distriede these citees, and al the cuntrey aboute; he destriede alle enhabiters of citees, and all grene thingis of erthe.
२५त्याने त्या नगरांचा नाश केला, तसेच त्या सगळ्या खोऱ्याचा आणि त्या नगरात राहणाऱ्या सगळ्यांचा, आणि जमिनीवर वाढणाऱ्या वनस्पतींचा नाश केला.
26 And his wijf lokide abac, and was turned in to an ymage of salt.
२६परंतु लोटाची पत्नी त्याच्यामागे होती, तिने मागे वळून पाहिले, आणि ती मिठाचा खांब झाली.
27 Forsothe Abraham risynge eerly, where he stood bifore with the Lord,
२७अब्राहाम सकाळी लवकर उठला आणि परमेश्वरासमोर तो ज्या ठिकाणी उभा राहिला होता तेथे गेला.
28 bihelde Sodom and Gomorre, and al the lond of that cuntrey; and he seiy a deed sparcle stiynge fro erthe, as the smoke of a furneis.
२८त्याने तेथून सदोम व गमोरा नगराकडे आणि खोऱ्यातील सर्व प्रदेशाकडे पाहिले. त्याने पाहिले तेव्हा पाहा, त्या अवघ्या प्रदेशातून भट्टीच्या धुरासारखा धूर त्या प्रदेशातून वर चढताना त्यास दिसला.
29 For whanne God distriede the citees of that cuntrey, he hadde mynde of Abraham, and delyuerede Loth fro destriynge of the citees in whiche he dwellide.
२९देवाने जेव्हा त्या खोऱ्यातील नगरांचा नाश केला तेव्हा अब्राहामाची आठवण केली. त्याने लोट राहत होता त्या नगरांचा नाश करण्यापूर्वी लोटाला त्या नाशातून काढले.
30 And Loth stiede fro Segor, and dwellide in the hil, and hise twey douytris with him, for he dredde to dwelle in Segor; and he dwellide in a denne, he and his twey douytris with hym.
३०परंतु लोट त्याच्या दोन मुलींबरोबर सोअर नगरातून निघून डोंगरात राहण्यासाठी चढून गेला, कारण त्यास सोअरात राहण्याची भीती वाटली. तो आपल्या दोन मुलींसह एका गुहेत राहिला.
31 And the more douytre seide to the lasse, Oure fadre is eld, and no man is left in erthe, that may entre to vs, bi the custom of al erthe;
३१थोरली मुलगी धाकटीला म्हणाली, “आपला पिता म्हातारा झाला आहे आणि जगाच्या रीतीप्रमाणे आपल्याबरोबर संबंध ठेवण्यास येथे कोठेही कोणी पुरुष नाही.
32 come thou, make we him drunkun of wyn, and slepe we with him, that we moun kepe seed of oure fadir.
३२चल, आपल्या पित्याला द्राक्षरस पाजू, आणि त्याच्याबरोबर झोपू. अशा रीतीने आपल्या पित्याचा आपण वंश चालवू.”
33 And so thei yauen to her fadir to drynke wyn in that nyyt, and the more douyter entrede, and slepte with hir fadir; and he feelide not, nethir whanne the douytir lay doun, nether whanne sche roos.
३३म्हणून, त्या रात्री त्यांनी आपल्या पित्याला द्राक्षरस पाजला. नंतर थोरली मुलगी आपल्या पित्याबरोबर झोपली; ती कधी झोपली व कधी उठली हे त्यास समजले नाही.
34 And in the tothir dai the more douytir seide to the lasse, Lo! Y slepte yistirdai with my fadir, yyue we to hym to drynk wyn also in this nyyt; and thou schalt slepe with hym, that we saue seed of oure fadir.
३४दुसऱ्या दिवशी थोरली धाकटीला म्हणाली, “मी काल रात्री माझ्या बापाबरोबर झोपले, तर आज रात्री पुन्हा आपण बापाला द्राक्षरस पाजू या, मग रात्री तू बापाबरोबर झोप. अशा रीतीने आपण बापाचा वंश चालवू.”
35 And thei yauen to her fadir also in that nyyt to drynke wyn, and the lesse douytir entride, and slepte with him; and sotheli he feelide not thanne whanne sche lay doun, nether whanne sche roos.
३५तेव्हा त्या रात्रीही त्यांनी आपल्या बापाला द्राक्षरस पाजला, नंतर धाकटी मुलगी आपल्या बापाबरोबर झोपली, आणि ती कधी झोपली व कधी उठली हे त्यास समजले नाही.
36 Therfor the twei douytris of Loth conseyuede of hir fadir.
३६अशा रीतीने लोटाच्या दोन्हीही मुली आपल्या बापापासून गरोदर राहिल्या.
37 And the more douytre childide a sone, and clepide his name Moab; he is the fadir of men of Moab `til in to present dai.
३७वडील मुलीला मुलगा झाला, तेव्हा तिने त्याचे नाव मवाब ठेवले. आजपर्यंत जे मवाबी लोक आहेत, त्यांचा हा मूळ पुरुष.
38 And the lesse douyter childide a sone, and clepide his name Amon, that is, the sone of my puple; he is the fadir of men of Amon til to day.
३८धाकट्या मुलीलाही मुलगा झाला; तिने त्याचे नाव बेनअम्मी असे ठेवले; आजमितीला जे अम्मोनी लोक त्यांचा हा मूळ पुरुष.
