Genesis 18
1 Forsothe in the valei of Mambre the Lord apperide to Abraham, sittynge in the dore of his tabernacle, in thilke heete of the dai.
Y aparecióle Jehová en el alcornocal de Mamré, estando él sentado a la puerta de su tienda, cuando comenzaba el calor del día.
2 And whanne he hadde reisid his iyen, thre men apperiden to hym, and stoden nyy hym. And whanne he hadde seyn hem, he ran fro the dore of his tabernacle in to the meting of hem, and he worschipide on erthe,
Y alzó sus ojos, y miró, y he aquí tres varones, que estaban junto a él: y como los vio, salió corriendo a recibirlos desde la puerta de su tienda, e inclinóse a tierra.
3 and seide, Lord, if Y haue founde grace in thin iyen, passe thou not thi seruaunt,
Y dijo: Señor, si ahora he hallado gracia en tus ojos, ruégote que no pases de tu siervo.
4 but I schal brynge a litil watir, and youre feet be waischid, and reste ye vndur the tre;
Tómese ahora un poco de agua, y lavad vuestros pies, y recostaos debajo de un árbol:
5 and Y schal sette a mussel of breed, and youre herte be coumfortid; aftirward ye schulen passe; for herfor ye bowiden to youre seruaunt. Whiche seiden, Do thou as thou hast spoke.
Y tomaré un bocado de pan, y sustentad vuestro corazón, después pasaréis; porque por eso habéis pasado cerca de vuestro siervo. Y ellos dijeron: Haz así como has hablado.
6 Abraham hastide in to the tabernacle, to Sare, and seide to hir, Hast thou, meddle thou thre half buschelis of clene flour; and make thou looues bakun vndur aischis.
Entonces Abraham fue a priesa a la tienda a Sara, y díjole: Toma presto tres medidas de flor de harina, amasa y haz panes cocidos debajo de la ceniza.
7 Forsothe he ran to the droue of beestis, and took therof a calf moost tendre and best, and yaf to a child, which hastide, and sethede the calfe;
Y corrió Abraham a las vacas, y tomó un becerro tierno y bueno, y dióle al mozo, y dióse priesa a aderezarlo.
8 and he took botere, and mylk, and the calf which he hadde sode, and settide bifore hem; forsothe Abraham stood bisidis hem vndur the tre.
Tomó también manteca y leche, y el becerro que había aderezado, y púsolo delante de ellos; y él estaba junto a ellos debajo del árbol, y comieron.
9 And whanne thei hadden ete, thei seiden to hym, Where is Sare thi wijf? He answerde, Lo! sche is in the tabernacle.
Y dijéronle: ¿Dónde está Sara tu mujer? Y él respondió: Aquí en la tienda.
10 To whom the Lord seide, Y schal turne ayen, and Y schal come to thee in this tyme, if Y lyue; and Sare, thi wijf, schal haue a sone. Whanne this was herd, Sare leiyede bihynde the dore of the tabernacle.
Entonces dijo: Volviendo volveré a ti según el tiempo de la vida, y, he aquí, tendrá un hijo Sara tu mujer. Y Sara escuchaba a la puerta de la tienda: y ella estaba detrás de él.
11 Forsothe bothe weren olde, and of greet age, and wommans termes ceessiden to be maad to Sare.
Y Abraham y Sara eran viejos, entrados en días: ya a Sara había cesado la costumbre de las mujeres.
12 And she leiyede, seiynge pryueli, after that Y wexede eld, and my lord is eld, schal Y yyue diligence to lust?
Y rióse Sara entre sí, diciendo: ¿Después que he envejecido, tendré deleite? Así mismo mi señor es ya viejo.
13 Forsothe the Lord seide to Abraham, Whi leiyeth Sare, thi wijf, seiynge, whether Y an eld womman schal bere child verili?
Entonces Jehová dijo a Abraham: ¿Por qué se ha reído Sara, diciendo; De cierto tengo de parir, que soy ya vieja?
14 whether ony thing is hard to God? Bi the biheeste Y schal turne ayen to thee in this same tyme, if Y lyue; and Sara schal haue a sone.
¿Esconderse ha de Jehová alguna cosa? Al tiempo señalado volveré a ti según el tiempo de la vida, y Sara tendrá un hijo.
15 Sare was aferd for drede, and denyede, seiynge, Y leiyede not. Forsothe the Lord seide, It is not so, but thou leiyedist.
Entonces Sara negó, diciendo: No me reí, porque tuvo miedo. Y él dijo: No es así; porque te reíste.
16 Therfor whanne the men hadden risen fro thennus, thei dressiden the iyen ayens Sodom; and Abraham yede to gidre, ledynge hem forth.
Y los varones se levantaron de allí, y miraron hacia Sodoma: y Abraham iba con ellos acompañándolos.
17 And the Lord seide, Wher Y mowe hele fro Abraham what thingis Y schal do,
Y Jehová dijo: ¿Encubro yo de Abraham lo que yo hago:
18 sithen he schal be in to a greet folk and moost strong, and alle naciouns of erthe schulen be blessid in hym?
Habiendo de ser Abraham en gran gente y fuerte, y habiendo de ser benditas en él todas las naciones de la tierra?
19 For Y woot that Abraham schal comaunde hise children, and his hows after hym, that thei kepe the weie of the Lord, and that thei do riytfulnesse and dom, that the Lord bringe for Abraham alle thingis whiche he spak to Abraham.
Porque yo lo he conocido, que mandará a sus hijos y a su casa después de sí, que guarden el camino de Jehová, haciendo justicia y juicio, para que haga venir Jehová sobre Abraham lo que ha hablado sobre él.
20 And so the Lord seide, The cry of men of Sodom and of men of Gomorre is multiplied, and her synne is agreggid greetli; Y schal come doun,
Entonces Jehová le dijo: El clamor de Sodoma y de Gomorra, porque se ha engrandecido, y el pecado de ellos, porque se ha agravado en gran manera.
21 and schal se whether thei han fillid in werk the cry that cam to me, that Y wite whether it is not so.
Descenderé ahora, y veré, si según su clamor que ha venido hasta mí, hayan hecho consumación: y si no, saberlo he.
22 And thei turneden han fro thennus, and yeden to Sodom. Abraham sotheli stood yit bifore the Lord,
Y apartáronse de allí los varones, y fueron a Sodoma: mas Abraham estuvo aún delante de Jehová.
23 and neiyede, and seide, Whether thou schalt leese a iust man with the wickid man?
Y acercóse Abraham, y dijo: ¿Destruirás también al justo con el impío?
24 if fifti iust men ben in the citee, schulen thei perische togidere, and schalt thou not spare that place for fifti iust men, if thei ben ther ynne?
Quizá hay cincuenta justos dentro de la ciudad: ¿destruirás también, y no perdonarás al lugar por cincuenta justos que estén dentro de él?
25 Fer be it fro thee that thou do this thing, and sle a iust man with a wickid man, and that a iust man be maad as a wickid man; this is not thin that demest al erthe; thou schalt not make this doom.
Nunca tal hagas, que hagas morir al justo con el impío: ¿y que sea el justo como el impío? Nunca tal hagas. El Juez de toda la tierra, ¿no ha de hacer derecho?
26 And the Lord seide to him, If Y schal fynde in Sodom fifti iust men in the myddis of the citee, Y schal foryyue to al the place for hem.
Entonces respondió Jehová: Si hallare en Sodoma cincuenta justos dentro de la ciudad, perdonaré a todo este lugar por amor de ellos.
27 Abraham answerde and seide, For Y bigan onys, Y schal speke to my Lord, sithen Y am dust and aische;
Y Abraham replicó, y dijo: He aquí, ahora que he comenzado a hablar a mi Señor, aunque soy polvo y ceniza;
28 what if lesse than fifti iust men bi fyue ben, schalt thou do a wey al the cite for fyue and fourti? And the Lord seide, Y schal not do a wei, if I schal fynde fyue and fourti there.
Quizá faltarán de cincuenta justos, cinco: ¿destruirás por aquellos cinco, que falten, toda la ciudad? Y dijo: No la destruiré, si hallare allí cuarenta y cinco.
29 And eft Abraham seide to hym, But if fourti ben there, what schalt thou do? The Lord seide, Y schal not smyte for fourti.
Y añadió más a hablarle, y dijo: ¿Quizá se hallarán allí cuarenta? Y respondió: No lo haré por cuarenta.
30 Abraham seide, Lord, Y biseche, take thou not to indignacioun, if Y speke; what if thretti be foundun there? The Lord answerde, Y schal not do, if Y schal fynde thretti there.
Y dijo: No se enoje ahora mi Señor, si hablare: ¿Quizá se hallarán allí treinta? Y respondió: No lo haré si hallare allí treinta.
31 Abraham seide, For Y bigan onys, Y schal speke to my Lord; what if twenti be foundun there? The Lord seide, Y schal not sle for twenti.
Y dijo: He aquí ahora que he comenzado a hablar a mi Señor: ¿Quizá se hallarán allí veinte? Respondió: No destruiré por veinte.
32 Abraham seide, Lord, Y biseche, be thou not wrooth, if Y speke yit onys; what if ten be founden there? The Lord seide, Y schal not do a wey for ten.
Y volvió a decir: No se enoje ahora mi Señor, si hablare solamente una vez: ¿Quizá se hallarán allí diez? Respondió: No destruiré por diez.
33 The Lord yede forth, after that he ceesside to speke to Abraham, and Abraham turnede ayen in to his place.
Y se fue Jehová después que acabó de hablar a Abraham: y Abraham se volvió a su lugar.
