< Genesis 16 >
1 Therfor Sarai, wijf of Abram, hadde not gendrid fre children; but sche hadde a seruauntesse of Egipt, Agar bi name, and seide to hir hosebonde, Lo!
and Sarai woman: wife Abram not to beget to/for him and to/for her maidservant Egyptian and name her Hagar
2 the Lord hath closid me, that Y schulde not bere child; entre thou to my seruauntesse, if in hap Y schal take children, nameli of hir. And whanne he assentide to hir preiynge, sche took Agar Egipcian,
and to say Sarai to(wards) Abram behold please to restrain me LORD from to beget to come (in): come please to(wards) maidservant my perhaps to build (from her *LBH(a)*) and to hear: hear Abram to/for voice Sarai
3 hir seruauntesse, after ten yeer aftir that thei begunne to enhabite in the lond of Chanaan, and sche yaf Agar wiif to hir hosebonde.
and to take: take Sarai woman: wife Abram [obj] Hagar [the] Egyptian maidservant her from end ten year to/for to dwell Abram in/on/with land: country/planet Canaan and to give: give [obj] her to/for Abram man: husband her to/for him to/for woman: wife
4 And Abram entride to Agar; and Agar seiy that sche hadde conseyued, and sche dispiside hir ladi.
and to come (in): come to(wards) Hagar and to conceive and to see: see for to conceive and to lighten lady her in/on/with eye: seeing her
5 And Saray seide to Abram, Thou doist wickidli ayens me; I yaf my seruauntesse in to thi bosum, which seeth, that sche conseyuede, and dispisith me; the Lord deme betwixe me and thee.
and to say Sarai to(wards) Abram violence my upon you I to give: give maidservant my in/on/with bosom: embrace your and to see: see for to conceive and to lighten in/on/with eye: seeing her to judge LORD between me and between you
6 And Abram answerde and seide to hir, Lo! thi seruauntesse is in thin hond; vse thou hir as `it likith. Therfor for Sarai turmentide hir, sche fledde awei.
and to say Abram to(wards) Sarai behold maidservant your in/on/with hand: power your to make: do to/for her [the] pleasant in/on/with eye: appearance your and to afflict her Sarai and to flee from face: before her
7 And whanne the aungel of the Lord hadde founde hir bisidis a welle of watir in wildernesse, which welle is in the weie of Sur in deseert,
and to find her messenger: angel LORD upon spring [the] water in/on/with wilderness upon [the] spring in/on/with way: road Shur
8 he seide to hir, Fro whennus comest thou Agar, the seruauntesse of Sarai, and whidur goist thou? Which answerde, Y fle fro the face of Sarai my ladi.
and to say Hagar maidservant Sarai where? from this to come (in): come and where? to go: went and to say from face of Sarai lady my I to flee
9 And the aungel of the Lord seide to hir, Turne thou ayen to thi ladi, and be thou mekid vndur hir hondis.
and to say to/for her messenger: angel LORD to return: return to(wards) lady your and to afflict underneath: under hand: to her
10 And eft he seide, Y multipliynge schal multiplie thi seed, and it schal not be noumbrid for multitude.
and to say to/for her messenger: angel LORD to multiply to multiply [obj] seed: children your and not to recount from abundance
11 And aftirward he seide, Lo! thou hast conseyued, and thou schalt bere a sone, and thou schalt clepe his name Ismael, for the Lord hath herd thi turment;
and to say to/for her messenger: angel LORD behold you pregnant and to beget son: child and to call: call by name his Ishmael for to hear: hear LORD to(wards) affliction your
12 this schal be a wielde man; his hond schal be ayens alle men, and the hondis of alle men schulen be ayens him; and he schal sette tabernaclis euene ayens alle his britheren.
and he/she/it to be wild donkey man hand his in/on/with all and hand all in/on/with him and upon face: before all brother: male-relative his to dwell
13 Forsothe Agar clepide the name of the Lord that spak to hir, Thou God that seiyest me; for sche seide, Forsothe here Y seiy the hynderere thingis of him that siy me.

14 Therfor sche clepide thilke pit, the pit of hym that lyueth and seeth me; thilk pit is bitwixe Cades and Barad.

15 And Agar childide a sone to Abram, which clepide his name Ismael.
and to beget Hagar to/for Abram son: child and to call: call by Abram name son: child his which to beget Hagar Ishmael
16 Abram was of `eiyti yeere and sixe, whanne Agar childide Ysmael to hym.
and Abram son: aged eighty year and six year in/on/with to beget Hagar [obj] Ishmael to/for Abram
