Genesis 15
1 And so whanne these thingis weren don, the word of the Lord was maad to Abram bi a visioun, and seide, Abram, nyle thou drede, Y am thi defender, and thi meede is ful greet.
Yeinom akyiri no, Awurade kasa kyerɛɛ Abram wɔ anisoadehunu mu sɛ, “Abram, nsuro. Meyɛ wo kyɛm. Meyɛ wo kyɛfa a ɛsom bo.”
2 And Abram seide, Lord God, what schalt thou yyue to me? Y schal go with oute fre children, and this Damask, sone of Elieser, the procuratour of myn hous, schal be myn eir.
Abram nso buaa sɛ, “Ao, Awurade Onyankopɔn, ɛdeɛn na wode bɛma me wɔ ɛberɛ a menni ɔba. Onipa a ɔbɛdi mʼadeɛ no yɛ Damaskoni Elieser?”
3 And Abram addide, Sotheli thou hast not youe seed to me, and, lo! my borun seruaunt schal be myn eir.
Na Abram toaa so sɛ, “Wommaa me mma enti, akoa a wɔwoo no wɔ me fie no na ɔbɛdi mʼadeɛ.”
4 And anoon the word of the Lord was maad to hym, and seide, This schal not be thin eir, but thou schalt haue hym eir, that schal go out of thi wombe.
Ɛnna Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Abram sɛ, “Saa ɔbarima yi renni wʼadeɛ da, agye wʼankasa wo yafumma.”
5 And the Lord ledde out Abram, and seide to hym, Biholde thou heuene, and noumbre thou sterris, if thou maist. And the Lord seide to Abram, So thi seed schal be.
Onyankopɔn de Abram kɔɔ afikyire, na ɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Pagya wʼani hwɛ soro na hwɛ sɛ wobɛtumi akan ɔsoro nsoromma anaa.” Afei, Onyankopɔn ka kyerɛɛ Abram sɛ, “Saa ara na wʼasefoɔ bɛdɔɔso.”
6 Abram bileuede to God, and it was arettid to hym to riytfulnesse.
Abram gyee asɛm a Awurade kaeɛ no diiɛ. Ne saa enti, Awurade buu no onipa tenenee.
7 And God seide to hym, Y am the Lord, that ladde thee out of Vr of Caldeis, that Y schulde yyue this lond to thee, and thou schuldist haue it in possessioun.
Awurade Onyankopɔn kyerɛɛ Abram bio sɛ, “Mene Awurade a mede wo firi Ur a ɛwɔ Kaldeafoɔ asase so baeɛ sɛ mede saa asase yi rema wo sɛ wʼagyapadeɛ.”
8 And Abram seide, Lord God, wherbi may I wite that Y schal welde it?
Nanso, Abram kaa sɛ, “Ao, Ɔsorosoro Awurade, ɛbɛyɛ sɛn na mɛhunu sɛ, asase no bɛyɛ me dea?”
9 And the Lord answerde, and seide, Take thou to me a cow of thre yeer, and a geet of thre yeer, and a ram of thre yeer, a turtle also, and a culuer.
Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Abram sɛ, “Fa nantwie ba a wadi mfeɛ mmiɛnsa, abirekyibereɛ a wadi mfeɛ mmiɛnsa, odwennini a wadi mfeɛ mmiɛnsa, anyankuku ne aborɔnoma ba brɛ me.”
10 Which took alle these thingis, and departide tho bi the myddis, and settide euer eithir partis ech ayens other; but he departide not the briddis.
Abram de yeinom nyinaa brɛɛ Onyankopɔn, paapae wɔn mu mmienu, na ɔde afaafa no kyerɛkyerɛɛ animu, de guguu hɔ. Na nnomaa no deɛ, wampaapae wɔn mu.
11 And foulis camen doun on the careyns, and Abram drof hem awey.
Na apete bɛsisii mmoa no afunu so no, Abram pamoo wɔn.
12 And whanne the sunne was gon doun, drede felde on Abram, and a greet hidousenesse and derk asaylide him.
Ɛberɛ a owia rekɔtɔ no, Abram daa hatee, na esum kabii a ɛyɛ hu tɔɔ ne so.
13 And it was seid to hym, Wite thou bifore knowinge, that thi seed schal be pilgrim foure hundrid yeer in a lond not his owne, and thei schulen make hem suget to seruage, and thei schulen turment hem;
Afei, Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Abram sɛ, “Gye di sɛ wʼasefoɔ bɛyɛ ahɔhoɔ wɔ asase a ɛnyɛ wɔn dea so. Wɔbɛyɛ nkoa wɔ ɔman no mu, asom, na wɔayɛ wɔn ayayadeɛ mfeɛ ahanan.
14 netheles Y schal deme the folk to whom thei schulen serue; and aftir these thingis thei schulen go out with greet catel.
Nanso, mɛtwe saa ɔman a wʼasefoɔ bɛsom wɔn no aso, na ɛno akyiri no, wɔbɛfiri ɔman a wɔsom mu no mu aba sɛ adefoɔ.
15 Forsothe thou schalt go to thi fadris in pees, and schalt be biried in good age.
Wo deɛ, wobɛwu asomdwoeɛ mu. Wobɛnyini akyɛre yie ansa na woawu.
16 Sotheli in the fourthe generacioun thei schulen turne ayen hidir, for the wickidnesses of Amoreis ben not yit fillid, `til to present tyme.
Nanso, awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ a ɛtɔ so ɛnan no mu, wʼasefoɔ bɛsane aba saa ɔman yi mu bio. Ɛfiri sɛ, saa ɛberɛ yi, Amorifoɔ a wɔte saa asase yi so ɛnnɛ yi bɔne a wɔyɛ no nnya nnuruu deɛ wɔtwe wɔn aso ma ɛyɛ yie.”
17 Therfor whanne the sunne was gon doun, a derk myst was maad, and a furneis smokynge apperide, and a laumpe of fier, and passide thorou tho departingis.
Na ɛbaa sɛ owia kɔtɔeɛ, na esum duruiɛ no, Abram hunuu egyakukuo bi sɛ ɛrefiri wisie ne ogyatɛn a ɛrederɛ bɛfaa mmoa a wɔakum wɔn no afunu afaafa no ntam.
18 In that dai the Lord made a couenaunt of pees with Abram, and seide, Y schal yyue to thi seed this lond, fro the ryuer of Egipt til to the greet ryuer Eufrates; Cyneis,
Saa ɛda no ara, Awurade ne Abram yɛɛ apam, kaa sɛ, “Mede saa asase a ɛfiri Misraim asubɔnten no ho, de kɔsi asubɔnten kɛseɛ Eufrate ho bɛma wo ne wʼasefoɔ.
19 and Cyneseis, and Cethmoneis, and Etheis,
Saa ara nso na mede Kenifoɔ, Kenesifoɔ, Kadmonifoɔ,
20 and Fereseis, and Raphaym, and Amorreis,
Hetifoɔ, Perisifoɔ, Refaimfoɔ,
21 and Cananeis, and Gergeseis, and Jebuseis.
Amorifoɔ, Kanaanfoɔ, Girgasifoɔ ne Yebusifoɔ nsase nyinaa bɛma wo ne wʼasefoɔ no.”
