Genesis 13
1 Therfore Abram stiede fro Egipt, he, and his wijf, and alle thingis that he hadde; and Loth stiede with hym, to the south coost.
Vstoupil tedy Abram z Egypta on i žena jeho i všecko, což měl, a Lot s ním, ku poledni.
2 Forsothe he was ful riche in possessyoun of siluer and of gold.
(Byl pak Abram bohatý velmi na dobytek, na stříbro i na zlato.)
3 And he turnede ayen bi the weye in which he cam fro the south in to Bethel, `til to the place, in which bifore he hadde sett tabernacle, bitwixe Bethel and Hay,
A šel cestami svými od poledne až do Bethel, až k místu tomu, kdež prvé byl stánek jeho, mezi Bethel a Hai,
4 in the place of the auter which he made bifore, and inwardli clepide there the name of the Lord.
K místu oltáře, kterýž tam byl prvé vzdělal, kdežto vzýval Abram jméno Hospodinovo.
5 But also flockis of scheep, and droues of oxun, and tabernaclis weren to Loth, that was with Abram;
Také i Lot, kterýž s Abramem chodil, měl ovce a voly i stany.
6 and the lond miyte not take hem, that thei schulden dwelle togidre, for the catel of hem was myche, and thei miyten not dwelle in comyn.
A nemohla jim země postačovati, aby spolu bydlili, proto že zboží jich bylo veliké, tak že nemohli spolu bydliti.
7 Wherfor also strijf was maad bitwixe the keperis of flockis of Abram and of Loth. Forsothe Chananei and Feresei dwelliden in that lond in that tyme.
Odkudž vznikla nesnáz mezi pastýři stáda Abramova a mezi pastýři stáda Lotova; nebo Kananejští a Ferezejští tehdáž bydlili v zemi té.
8 Therfor Abram seide to Loth, Y biseche, that no strijf be bitwixe me and thee, and bitwixe my scheepherdis and thi scheepherdis; for we ben britheren.
Řekl tedy Abram k Lotovi: Nechžť, prosím, není nesnáze mezi mnou a tebou, a mezi pastýři mými a pastýři tvými, poněvadž muži bratří jsme.
9 Lo! al the lond is bifore thee, Y biseche, departe thou fro me; if thou go to the left side, Y schal holde the riyt side; if thou chese the riyt side, Y schal go to the left side.
Zdaliž není před tebou všecka země? Odděl se, prosím, ode mne. Půjdeš-li na levo, já na pravo se držeti budu; pakli půjdeš na pravo, na levo se držeti budu.
10 And so Loth reiside hise iyen, and seiy aboute al the cuntrei of Jordan, which was al moistid, bifor that the Lord distriede Sodom and Gomorre, as paradis of the Lord, and as Egipt, as men comen in to Segor.
Pozdvih tedy Lot očí svých, spatřil všecku rovinu vůkol Jordánu, kteráž před tím, než Hospodin zkazil Sodomu a Gomoru, všecka až k Ségor svlažována byla, jako zahrada Hospodinova, a jako země Egyptská.
11 And Loth chees to him the cuntre aboute Jordan, and departide fro the eest; and thei weren departid ech fro his brother.
I zvolil sobě Lot všecku rovinu Jordánskou, a bral se k východu; a tak oddělili se jeden od druhého.
12 Abram dwellide in the lond of Chanaan; sotheli Loth dwellide in townes aboute Jordan, and wonide in Sodom.
Abram bydlil v zemi Kananejské, ale Lot přebýval v městech té roviny, podav stanů až k Sodomě.
13 Forsothe men of Sodom weren ful wickid, and synneris greetly bifore the Lord.
Lidé pak Sodomští byli zlí, a hříšníci před Hospodinem velicí.
14 And the Lord seide to Abram, aftir that Loth was departid fro him, Reise thin iyen forth riyt, and se fro the place in which thou art now, to the north and south, to the eest and west;
I řekl Hospodin Abramovi, když se oddělil od něho Lot: Pozdvihni nyní očí svých, a pohleď z místa, na němž jsi, na půlnoci a na poledne, i na východ a na západ.
15 Y schal yyue al the lond which thou seest to thee and to thi seed, til in to with outen ende.
Nebo všecku zemi, kterouž vidíš, tobě dám a semeni tvému až na věky.
16 And Y schal make thi seed as the dust of erthe; if ony man may noumbre the dust of erthe, also he schal mowe noumbre thi seed.
A rozmnožím símě tvé jako prach země; nebo jestliže kdo bude moci sčísti prach země, tedy i símě tvé sečteno bude.
17 Therfor rise thou, and passe thorou the lond in his lengthe and breede, for Y schal yyue it to thee.
Vstaň, projdi tu zemi na dýl i na šíř její; nebo tobě ji dám.
18 Therfor Abram, mouynge his tabernacle, cam and dwellide bisidis the valei of Mambre, which is in Ebron; and he bildide there an auter to the Lord.
Tedy Abram hnuv se s stanem, přišel a bydlil v rovinách Mamre, kteréž jsou při Hebronu, kdežto vzdělal oltář Hospodinu.
