Genesis 11
1 Forsothe the lond was of o langage, and of the same speche.
൧ഭൂമിയിലൊക്കെയും ഒരു ഭാഷയും അതേ വാക്കുകളുമാണ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്.
2 And whanne thei yeden forth fro the eest, thei fonden a feeld in the lond of Sennaar, and dwelliden ther ynne.
൨എന്നാൽ അവർ കിഴക്കോട്ടു യാത്ര ചെയ്ത്, ശിനാർദേശത്ത് ഒരു സമതലഭൂമി കണ്ടെത്തി, അവിടെ പാർത്തു.
3 And oon seide to his neiybore, Come ye, and make we tiel stonys, and bake we tho with fier; and thei hadden tiel for stonus, and pitche for morter;
൩അവർ തമ്മിൽ: “വരുവിൻ, നമുക്ക് ഇഷ്ടിക ഉണ്ടാക്കി നന്നായി ചുട്ടെടുക്കാം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവർ കല്ലിനു പകരം ഇഷ്ടികയും കുമ്മായത്തിനു പകരം പശമണ്ണും ഉപയോഗിച്ചു.
4 and seiden, Come ye, and make we to vs a citee and tour, whos hiynesse stretche `til to heuene; and make we solempne oure name bifor that we be departid in to alle londis.
൪“വരുവിൻ; നാം ഭൂതലത്തിൽ ഒക്കെയും ചിതറിപ്പോകാതിരിക്കുവാൻ നമുക്കായി ഒരു പട്ടണവും ആകാശത്തോളം എത്തുന്ന ഒരു ഗോപുരവും പണിയുക; നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി ഒരു പേരുമുണ്ടാക്കുക” എന്ന് അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
5 Forsothe the Lord cam down to se the citee and tour, which the sones of Adam bildiden.
൫മനുഷ്യന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ പണിത പട്ടണവും ഗോപുരവും കാണേണ്ടതിന് യഹോവ ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു.
6 And he seide, Lo! the puple is oon, and o langage is to alle, and thei han bigunne to make this, nethir thei schulen ceesse of her thouytis, til thei fillen tho in werk; therfor come ye, go we doun,
൬അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ: “ഇതാ, ജനം ഒന്ന്, അവർക്കെല്ലാവർക്കും ഭാഷയും ഒന്ന്; അവർ ചെയ്യുവാൻ പോകുന്നതിന്റെ തുടക്കം മാത്രമാണ് ഇത്; അവർ ചെയ്യുവാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നതൊന്നും അവർക്ക് അസാദ്ധ്യമാവുകയില്ല.
7 and scheende we there the tunge of hem, that ech man here not the voys of his neiybore.
൭വരുവിൻ; നമുക്ക് ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്ന്, അവർ തമ്മിൽ സംസാരിക്കുന്നത് പരസ്പരം ഗ്രഹിക്കാനാവാത്തവിധം അവരുടെ ഭാഷ കലക്കിക്കളയുക” എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
8 And so the Lord departide hem fro that place in to alle londis; and thei cessiden to bielde a cytee.
൮അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ അവരെ അവിടെനിന്ന് ഭൂതലത്തിലെങ്ങും ചിതറിച്ചു; അവർ പട്ടണം പണിയുന്നത് വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.
9 And therfor the name therof was clepid Babel, for the langage of al erthe was confoundide there; and fro thennus the Lord scaterede hem on the face of alle cuntrees.
൯സർവ്വഭൂമിയിലെയും ഭാഷ യഹോവ അവിടെവച്ചു കലക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ട് അതിന് ബാബേൽ എന്നു പേരുവിളിച്ചു; യഹോവ അവരെ അവിടെനിന്ന് ഭൂതലത്തിൽ എങ്ങും ചിതറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
10 These ben the generaciouns of Sem. Sem was of an hundrid yeer whanne he gendride Arfaxath, twey yeer aftir the greet flood.
൧൦ശേമിന്റെ വംശപാരമ്പര്യം ഇതാണ്: ശേമിന് നൂറു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ ജലപ്രളയത്തിനുശേഷം രണ്ട് വർഷം കഴിഞ്ഞ് അർപ്പക്ഷാദിനു ജന്മം നൽകി.
11 And Sem lyuede aftir that he gendride Arfaxath fyue hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
൧൧അതിനുശേഷം ശേം അഞ്ഞൂറ് വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.
12 Forsothe Arfaxath lyuede fyue and thretti yeer, and gendride Sale;
൧൨അർപ്പക്ഷാദിന് മുപ്പത്തഞ്ച് വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ ശാലഹിന് ജൻമം നൽകി.
13 and Arfaxath lyuede aftir that he gendride Sale thre hundride and thre yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
൧൩ശാലഹിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം അർപ്പക്ഷാദ് നാനൂറ്റിമൂന്ന് വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാർക്കും പുത്രിമാർക്കും ജന്മം നൽകി.
14 Also Sale lyuede thretti yeer, and gendride Heber;
൧൪ശാലഹിന് മുപ്പത് വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ ഏബെരിനു ജന്മം നൽകി.
15 and Sale lyuede after that he gendride Heber foure hundrid and thre yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
൧൫ഏബെരിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം ശാലഹ് നാനൂറ്റി മൂന്നു വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാർക്കും പുത്രിമാർക്കും ജന്മം നൽകി.
16 Sotheli Heber lyuede foure and thretti yeer, and gendride Falech;
൧൬ഏബെരിന് മുപ്പത്തിനാല് വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ പേലെഗിനു ജന്മം നൽകി.
17 and Heber lyuede aftir that he gendride Falech foure hundrid and thretti yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
൧൭പേലെഗിനു ജന്മം നൽകിയശേഷം ഏബെർ നാനൂറ്റിമുപ്പത് വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാർക്കും പുത്രിമാർക്കും ജന്മം നൽകി.
18 Also Falech lyuede thretti yeer, and gendride Reu;
൧൮പേലെഗിന് മുപ്പതു വയസ് ആയപ്പോൾ അവൻ രെയൂവിന് ജന്മം നൽകി.
19 and Falech lyuede aftir that he gendride Reu two hundrid and nyne yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
൧൯രെയൂവിന് ജന്മം നൽകിയശേഷം പേലെഗ് ഇരുനൂറ്റി ഒമ്പത് വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാർക്കും പുത്രിമാർക്കും ജന്മം നൽകി.
20 And Reu lyuede two and thretti yeer, and gendride Saruch;
൨൦രെയൂവിന് മുപ്പത്തിരണ്ട് വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ ശെരൂഗിനു ജന്മം നൽകി.
21 and Reu lyuede aftir that he gendride Saruch two hundrid and seuene yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
൨൧ശെരൂഗിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം രെയൂ ഇരുനൂറ്റിഏഴ് വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാർക്കും പുത്രിമാർക്കും ജന്മം നൽകി.
22 Sotheli Saruch lyuede thretti yeer, and gendride Nachor;
൨൨ശെരൂഗിന് മുപ്പതു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ നാഹോരിനു ജന്മം നൽകി.
23 and Saruch lyuede aftir that he gendride Nacor two hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
൨൩നാഹോരിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം ശെരൂഗ് ഇരുനൂറ് വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാർക്കും പുത്രിമാർക്കും ജന്മം നൽകി.
24 Forsothe Nachor lyuede nyne and twenti yeer, and gendride Thare;
൨൪നാഹോരിന് ഇരുപത്തൊമ്പതു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ തേരഹിനു ജന്മം നൽകി.
25 and Nachor lyuede after that he gendride Thare an hundrid and nynetene yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
൨൫തേരഹിനു ജന്മം നൽകിയശേഷം നാഹോർ നൂറ്റിപ്പത്തൊമ്പതു വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാർക്കും പുത്രിമാർക്കും ജന്മം നൽകി.
26 And Thare lyuede seuenti yeer, and gendride Abram, and Nachor, and Aran.
൨൬തേരഹിന് എഴുപത് വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ അബ്രാം, നാഹോർ, ഹാരാൻ എന്നിവർക്കു ജന്മം നൽകി.
27 Sotheli these ben the generaciouns of Thare. Thare gendride Abram, Nachor, and Aran. Forsothe Aran gendride Loth;
൨൭തേരഹിന്റെ വംശപാരമ്പര്യം ഇതാണ്: തേരഹ് അബ്രാമിനെയും നാഹോരിനെയും ഹാരാനും ജന്മം നൽകി; ഹാരാൻ ലോത്തിനു ജന്മം നൽകി.
28 and Aran diede bifore Thare, his fadir, in the lond of his natiuite, in Vr of Caldeis.
൨൮എന്നാൽ ഹാരാൻ തന്റെ ജന്മദേശത്തു വച്ച് കൽദയരുടെ ഊരിൽവച്ചു തന്നെ, തന്റെ അപ്പനായ തേരഹിനു മുമ്പെ മരിച്ചുപോയി.
29 Forsothe Abram and Nachor weddiden wyues; the name of the wijf of Abram was Saray, and the name of the wiif of Nachor was Melcha, the douyter of Aran, fadir of Melcha and fadir of Jescha.
൨൯അബ്രാമും നാഹോരും വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു; അബ്രാമിന്റെ ഭാര്യക്കു സാറായി എന്നും നാഹോരിന്റെ ഭാര്യക്കു മിൽക്കാ എന്നും പേര്. മിൽക്കയുടെയും യിസ്കയുടെയും അപ്പനായ ഹാരാന്റെ മകളാണ് മിൽക്ക.
30 Sotheli Saray was bareyn, and hadde no children.
൩൦സാറായി മച്ചിയായിരുന്നു; അവൾക്കു കുട്ടികൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
31 And so Thare took Abram, his sone, and Loth, the sone of Aran his sone, and Saray, his douyter in lawe, the wijf of Abram, his sone, and ledde hem out of Vr of Caldeis, that thei schulen go in to the lond of Chanaan; and thei camen `til to Aran, and dwelliden there.
൩൧തേരഹ് തന്റെ മകനായ അബ്രാമിനെയും ഹാരാന്റെ മകനായ തന്റെ കൊച്ചുമകൻ ലോത്തിനെയും തന്റെ മകനായ അബ്രാമിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ, മരുമകൾ സാറായിയെയും കൂട്ടി കൽദയരുടെ ഊരിൽനിന്നു കനാൻദേശത്തേക്കു പോകുവാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു; അവർ ഹാരാൻ വരെ വന്ന് അവിടെ പാർത്തു.
32 And the daies of Thare weren maad two hundrid yeer and fyue, and he was deed in Aran.
൩൨തേരഹിന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ഇരുനൂറ്റിയഞ്ച് വർഷം ആയിരുന്നു; തേരഹ് ഹാരാനിൽവച്ചു മരിച്ചു.
