Galatians 6
1 Britheren, if a man be occupied in ony gilt, ye that ben spiritual, enforme ye such oon in spirit of softnesse, biholdinge thi silf, lest that thou be temptid.
Irmãos, se algum homem chegar a ser surpreendido em alguma ofensa, vós, que sois espirituais, encaminhai ao tal com espírito de mansidão; olhando por ti mesmo, para que não sejas também tentado.
2 Ech bere othere chargis, and so ye schulen fulfille the lawe of Crist.
Levai as cargas um dos outros, e assim cumprireis a lei de Cristo.
3 For who that trowith that he be ouyt, whanne he is nouyt, he bigilith him silf.
Porque, se alguém cuida ser alguma coisa, não sendo nada, engana-se a si mesmo.
4 But ech man preue his owne werk, and so he schal haue glorie in him silf, and not in an othere.
Mas prove cada um a sua própria obra, e terá glória só em si mesmo, e não noutro.
5 For ech man schal bere his owne charge.
Porque cada qual levará a sua própria carga.
6 He that is tauyt bi word, comune he with him that techith hym, in `alle goodis.
E o que é instruído na palavra reparta de todos os seus bens com aquele que o instrui.
7 Nyle ye erre, God is not scorned; for tho thingis that a man sowith, tho thingis he schal repe.
Não erreis: Deus não se deixa escarnecer; porque tudo o que o homem semear, isso também ceifará.
8 For he that sowith in his fleisch, of the fleisch he schal repe corrupcioun; but he that sowith in the spirit, of the spirit he schal repe euerelastynge lijf. (aiōnios g166)
Porque o que semeia na sua carne, da carne ceifará a corrupção; mas o que semeia no espírito, do espírito ceifará a vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
9 And doynge good faile we not; for in his tyme we schal repe, not failinge.
E não nos cancemos de fazer bem, porque a seu tempo ceifaremos, se não houvermos desfalecido.
10 Therfor while we han tyme, worche we good to alle men; but most to hem that ben homliche of the feith.
De sorte que, enquanto temos tempo, façamos bem a todos, mas principalmente aos domésticos da fé.
11 Se ye, what maner lettris Y haue write to you with myn owne hoond.
Vede com que grandes letras vos escrevi por minha mão.
12 For who euere wole plese in the fleisch, `this constreyneth you to be circumcidid, oonli that thei suffren not the persecucioun of Cristis crosse.
Todos os que querem mostrar boa aparência na carne esses vos obrigam a circuncidar-vos, somente para não serem perseguidos por causa da cruz de Cristo.
13 For nether thei that ben circumcidid kepen the lawe; but thei wolen that ye be circumcidid, that thei haue glorie in youre fleisch.
Porque nem ainda esses mesmos que se circuncidam guardam a lei, mas querem que vos circuncideis, para se glóriarem na vossa carne.
14 But fer be it fro me to haue glorie, no but in the crosse of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, bi whom the world is crucified to me, and Y to the world.
Mas longe esteja de mim glóriar-me, a não ser na cruz de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, por quem o mundo está crucificado para mim e eu para o mundo.
15 For in Jhesu Crist nether circumcisioun is ony thing worth, ne prepucie, but a newe creature.
Porque em Cristo Jesus nem a circuncisão nem a incircuncisão tem virtude alguma, mas sim o ser uma nova criatura.
16 And who euere suwen this reule, pees on hem, and merci, and on Israel of God.
E a todos quantos andarem conforme esta regra, paz e misericórdia sobre eles e sobre o Israel de Deus.
17 And heraftir no man be heuy to me; for Y bere in my bodi the tokenes of oure Lord Jhesu Crist.
Quanto ao mais, ninguém me seja molesto; porque trago no meu corpo as marcas do Senhor Jesus.
18 The grace of oure Lord Jhesu Crist be with youre spirit, britheren. Amen.
A graça de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo seja, irmãos, com o vosso espírito. amém.
