Ezekiel 36
1 Forsothe thou, sone of man, profesie on the hillis of Israel; and thou schalt seie, Hillis of Israel, here ye the word of the Lord.
Et toi, fils d'homme, prophétise aussi touchant les montagnes d'Israël, et dis: montagnes d'Israël, écoutez la parole de l'Eternel.
2 The Lord God seith these thingis, For that that the enemy seide of you, Wel! euerlastyng hiynessis ben youun to vs in to eritage;
Ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: parce que l'ennemi a dit contre vous: ha! ha! Tous les lieux haut élevés, qui même sont d'ancienneté, sont devenus notre possession.
3 therefore profesie thou, and seie, The Lord God seith these thingis, For that that ye ben maad desolat, and defoulid bi cumpas, and ben maad in to eritage to othere folkis, and ye stieden on the lippe of tunge, and on the schenschipe of puple;
C'est pourquoi prophétise, et dis: ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: parce, oui, parce qu'on vous a réduites en désolation, et que ceux d'alentour, vous ont englouties, afin que vous fussiez en possession au reste des nations, et qu'on vous a exposées à la langue et aux insultes des nations.
4 therfor, hillis of Israel, here ye the word of the Lord God. The Lord God seith these thingis to the mounteyns, and litle hillis, to strondis, and to valeis, and to peecis of wallis left, and to citees forsakun, that ben maad bare of puplis, and ben scorned of othere folkis bi cumpas;
A cause de cela, montagnes d'Israël, écoutez la parole du Seigneur l'Eternel: ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel aux montagnes, et aux coteaux, aux courants d'eaux, et aux vallées, aux lieux détruits et désolés, et aux villes abandonnées qui ont été en pillage et en moquerie au reste des nations qui sont tout à l'entour;
5 therfore the Lord God seith these thingis, For in the fier of my feruour Y spak of othere folkis, and of al Idumee, that yauen my lond in to eritage to hem silf with ioie `and al herte, and of entent, and castiden out it, to distrie it; therfor profesie thou on the erthe of Israel,
A cause de cela, [dis-je], ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: si je ne parle en l'ardeur de ma jalousie contre le reste des nations, et contre tous ceux d'Idumée qui se sont attribué ma terre en possession, avec une joie dont leur cœur était plein, et avec un mépris dont ils se faisaient un grand plaisir, pour la mettre au pillage.
6 and thou schalt seie to mounteyns, and litle hillis, to the hiynesse of hillis, and to valeis, The Lord God seith these thingis, For that that ye ben desolat, lo! Y spak in my feruour and in my strong veniaunce. For that that ye suffriden schenschipe of hethene men;
C'est pourquoi prophétise touchant la terre d'Israël, et dis aux montagnes, et aux coteaux, aux courants d'eaux, et aux vallées: ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: voici, j'ai parlé en ma jalousie, et en ma fureur, parce que vous avez porté l'ignominie des nations.
7 therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y reiside myn hond ayens hethene men, that ben in youre cumpas, that thei bere her schenschipe.
C'est pourquoi ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: j'ai levé ma main, si les nations qui sont tout autour de vous ne portent leur ignominie.
8 Forsothe, ye hillis of Israel, brynge forth youre braunchis, and bringe ye fruit to my puple Israel; for it is niy that it come.
Mais vous, montagnes d'Israël, vous pousserez vos branches, et vous porterez votre fruit pour mon peuple d'Israël; car ils sont prêts à venir.
9 For lo! Y to you, and Y schal turne to you, and ye schulen be erid, and schulen take seed.
Car me voici, [je viens] à vous, et je retournerai vers vous, et vous serez labourées, et semées.
10 And in you I schal multiplie men, and al the hous of Israel; and citees schulen be enhabitid, and ruynouse thingis schulen be reparelid.
Et je multiplierai les hommes sur vous, [savoir] la maison d'Israël tout entière, et les villes seront habitées, et les lieux déserts seront rebâtis.
11 And Y schal fille you with men and beestis, and thei schulen be multiplied, and schulen encreesse; and Y schal make you to dwelle as at the bigynnyng, and Y schal rewarde with more goodis than ye hadden at the bigynnyng; and ye schulen wite, that Y am the Lord.
Et je multiplierai sur vous les hommes et les bêtes, qui y multiplieront, et fructifieront; je ferai que vous serez habités comme anciennement, et je vous ferai plus de bien que vous n'en avez eu au commencement; et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel.
12 And Y schal brynge men on you, my puple Israel, and bi eritage thei schulen welde thee, and thou schalt be to hem in to eritage; and thou schalt no more leie to, that thou be with out hem.
Et je ferai marcher sur vous des hommes, [savoir] mon peuple d'Israël, qui vous posséderont, vous leur serez en héritage, et vous ne les consumerez plus.
13 The Lord God seith these thingis, For that that thei seien of you, Thou art a deuouresse of men, and stranglist thi folk;
Ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: parce qu'on dit de vous: tu es un pays qui dévore les hommes, et tu as consumé tes habitants;
14 therfor thou schalt no more ete men, and thou schalt no more sle thi folk, seith the Lord God.
A cause de cela tu ne dévoreras plus les hommes, et ne consumeras plus tes habitants, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel.
15 And Y schal no more make herd in thee the schenschipe of hethene men, and thou schalt no more bere the schenschipe of puplis, and thou schalt no more leese thi folk, seith the Lord God.
Et je ferai que tu n'entendras plus l'ignominie des nations, et que tu ne porteras plus l'opprobre des peuples; et tu ne feras plus périr tes habitants, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel.
16 And the word of the Lord was maad to me, and he seide, Thou,
Puis la parole de l'Eternel me fut [adressée], en disant:
17 sone of man, the hous of Israel dwelliden in her lond, and thei defouliden it in her weies, and in her studies; bi the vnclennesse of a womman in rotun blood the weie of hem is maad bifor me.
Fils d'homme, ceux de la maison d'Israël habitant en leur terre l'ont souillée par leur voie et par leurs actions; leur voie est devenue devant moi telle qu'est la souillure de la femme séparée à cause de son impureté;
18 And Y schedde out myn indignacioun on hem, for blood which thei schedden on the lond, and in her idols thei defouliden it.
Et j'ai répandu ma fureur sur eux à cause du sang qu'ils ont répandu sur le pays, et parce qu'ils l'ont souillé par leurs idoles.
19 And Y scateride hem among hethene men, and thei weren wyndewid to londis; Y demede hem bi the weies and fyndyngis of hem.
Et je les ai dispersés parmi les nations, et ils ont été répandus par les pays; je les ai jugés selon leur voie, et selon leurs actions.
20 And thei entriden to hethene men, to whiche thei entriden, and defouliden myn hooli name, whanne it was seid of hem, This is the puple of the Lord, and thei yeden out of the lond of hym.
Et étant venus parmi les nations au milieu desquelles ils sont venus, ils ont profané le Nom de ma Sainteté, en ce qu'on a dit d'eux: ceux-ci sont le peuple de l'Eternel, et cependant ils sont sortis de son pays.
21 And Y sparide myn hooli name, which the hous of Israel hadde defoulid among hethene men, to whiche thei entriden.
Mais j'ai épargné le Nom de ma Sainteté, lequel la maison d'Israël avait profané parmi les nations au milieu desquelles ils étaient venus.
22 Therfor thou schalt seie to the hous of Israel, The Lord God seith these thingis, O! ye hous of Israel, not for you Y schal do, but for myn hooli name, which ye defouliden among hethene men, to whiche ye entriden.
C'est pourquoi dis à la maison d'Israël: ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: je ne [le] fais point à cause de vous, ô maison d'Israël! mais à cause du Nom de ma Sainteté, que vous avez profané parmi les nations au milieu desquelles vous êtes venus.
23 And Y schal halewe my greet name, which is defoulid among hethene men, whiche ye defouliden in the myddis of hem; that hethene men wite, that Y am the Lord, seith the Lord of oostis, whanne Y schal be halewid in you before hem.
Et je sanctifierai mon grand Nom, qui a été profané parmi les nations, et que vous avez profané parmi elles; et les nations sauront que je suis l'Eternel, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel, quand je serai sanctifié en vous, en leur présence.
24 For Y schal take awei you fro hethene men, and Y schal gadere you fro alle londis, and Y schal brynge you in to youre lond.
Je vous retirerai donc d'entre les nations, je vous rassemblerai de tous pays, et je vous ramènerai en votre terre.
25 And Y schal schede out clene watir on you, and ye schulen be clensid fro alle youre filthis; and Y schal clense you fro alle youre idols.
Et je répandrai sur vous des eaux nettes, et vous serez nettoyés; je vous nettoierai de toutes vos souillures, et de toutes vos idoles.
26 And Y schal yyue to you a newe herte, and Y schal sette a newe spirit in the myddis of you; and Y schal do awei an herte of stoon fro youre fleisch, and Y schal yyue to you an herte of fleisch,
Je vous donnerai un nouveau cœur, je mettrai au dedans de vous un Esprit nouveau; j'ôterai de votre chair le cœur de pierre, et je vous donnerai un cœur de chair.
27 and Y schal sette my spirit in the myddis of you. And Y schal make that ye go in my comaundementis, and kepe and worche my domes.
Et je mettrai mon Esprit au dedans de vous, je ferai que vous marcherez dans mes statuts, et que vous garderez mes ordonnances, et les ferez.
28 And ye schulen dwelle in the lond, whiche Y yaf to youre fadris; and ye schulen be in to a puple to me, and Y schal be in to a God to you.
Et vous demeurerez au pays que j'ai donné à vos pères, et vous serez mon peuple, et je serai votre Dieu.
29 And Y schal saue you fro alle youre filthis; and Y schal clepe wheete, and Y schal multiplie it, and Y schal not put hungur on you.
Je vous délivrerai de toutes vos souillures, j'appellerai le froment, je le multiplierai, et je ne vous enverrai plus la famine;
30 And Y schal multiplie the fruyt of tree, and the seedis of the feeld, that ye bere no more the schenschipe of hungur among hethene men.
Mais je multiplierai le fruit des arbres, et le revenu des champs, afin que vous ne portiez plus l'opprobre de la famine entre les nations.
31 And ye schulen haue mynde on youre worste weies, and on studies not goode; and youre wickidnessis, and youre grete trespassis schulen displese you.
Et vous vous souviendrez de votre mauvaise voie et de vos actions, qui n'étaient pas bonnes, et vous détesterez en vous-mêmes vos iniquités, et vos abominations.
32 Not for you Y schal do, seith the Lord God, be it knowun to you; O! the hous of Israel, be ye schent, and be ye aschamed on youre weies.
Je ne le fais point pour l'amour de vous, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel, afin que vous le sachiez. Soyez honteux et confus à cause de votre voie, ô maison d'Israël!
33 The Lord God seith these thingis, In the dai in which Y schal clense you fro alle youre wickidnessis, and Y schal make citees to be enhabitid, and Y schal reparele ruynouse thingis,
Ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: au jour que je vous aurai purifiés de toutes vos iniquités je vous ferai habiter dans des villes, et les lieux déserts seront rebâtis.
34 and the desert lond schal be tilid, that was sum tyme desolat, bifor the iyen of ech weiegoere,
Et la terre désolée sera labourée, au lieu qu'elle n'a été que désolation, en la présence de tous les passants.
35 thei schulen seie, Thilke lond vntilid is maad as a gardyn of likyng, and citees forsakun and destitute and vndur myned saten maad strong; and hethene men,
Et on dira: cette terre-ci qui était désolée, est devenue comme le jardin d'Héden; et ces villes qui avaient été désertes, désolées, et détruites, sont fortifiées et habitées.
36 whiche euer ben left in youre cumpas, schulen wite, that Y the Lord haue bildid distried thingis, and Y haue plauntid vntilid thingis; Y the Lord spak, and Y dide.
Et les nations qui seront demeurées de reste autour de vous sauront que moi l'Eternel j'aurai rebâti les lieux détruits, et planté le pays désolé, moi l'Eternel j'ai parlé, et je le ferai.
37 The Lord God seith these thingis, Yit in this thing the hous of Israel schulen fynde me, that Y do to hem; Y schal multiplie hem as the floc of men, as an hooli floc,
Ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: encore serai-je recherché par la maison d'Israël, pour leur faire ceci, [savoir] que je multiplie leurs hommes comme un troupeau de brebis.
38 as the floc of Jerusalem in the solempnytees therof, so the citees that ben forsakun, schulen be fulle of the flockis of men; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord.
Les villes qui sont désertes seront remplies de troupes d'hommes, tels que sont les troupeaux des bêtes sanctifiées, tels que sont les troupeaux des bêtes qu'on amène à Jérusalem en ses fêtes solennelles; et ils sauront que je suis l'Eternel.
