Ezekiel 34
1 And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
La parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée en ces termes:
2 and he seide, Sone of man, profesie thou of the schepherdis of Israel, profesie thou; and thou schalt seie to the schepherdis, The Lord God seith these thingis, Wo to the schepherdis of Israel, that fedden hym silf; whether flockis ben not fed of schepherdis?
"Fils de l’homme, prophétise sur les pasteurs d’Israël, prophétise et dis-leur, à ces pasteurs: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Malheur aux pasteurs d’Israël, qui se paissaient eux-mêmes! N’Est-ce pas les brebis que doivent paître les pasteurs?
3 Ye eeten mylk, and weren hilid with wollis, and ye killiden that that was fat; but ye fedden not my floc.
Vous en mangiez la graisse, vous vous vêtiez de leur laine, vous immoliez celle qui était corpulente; les brebis, vous ne les paissiez point!
4 Ye maden not sad that that was vnstidfast, and ye maden not hool that that was sijk; ye bounden not that that was brokun, and ye brouyten not ayen that that was cast awei, and ye souyten not that that perischide; but ye comaundiden to hem with sturnenesse, and with power.
Les infirmes, vous ne les souteniez pas; vous n’avez point soigné la malade ni pansé celle qui avait une fracture; celle qui s’écartait, vous ne l’avez pas ramenée, celle qui s’égarait, vous ne l’avez pas cherchée. C’Est avec violence que vous les régentiez et avec dureté.
5 And my scheep weren scaterid, for no sheepherde was; and thei weren maad in to deuouryng of alle beestis of the feeld, and thei weren scaterid.
Elles se sont donc dispersées faute de pasteur; elles sont devenues la proie de toutes les bêtes des champs, par leur dispersion.
6 My flockis erriden in alle mounteyns, and in ech hiy hil, and my flockis weren scaterid on al the face of erthe, and noon was that souyte.
Mes brebis errent par toutes les montagnes et sur toute colline élevée. Sur toute la surface de la terre sont disséminées mes brebis et nul ne s’enquiert d’elles, nul ne se met à leur recherche.
7 Therfor, scheepherdis, here ye the word of the Lord;
C’Est pourquoi, pasteurs, écoutez la parole de l’Eternel:
8 Y lyue, seith the Lord God, for whi for that that my flockis ben maad in to raueyn, and my scheep in to deuouryng of alle beestis of the feeld, for that that no scheepherde was, for the scheepherdis souyten not my floc, but the scheepherdis fedden hem silf, and fedden not my flockis; therfor,
Par ma vie, dit le Seigneur Dieu, j’en jure, puisque mes brebis ont été livrées en proie et que mes brebis sont devenues la pâture de toutes les bêtes des champs, faute de pasteur, puisque mes pasteurs n’ont pas pris soin de mes brebis, qu’ils se paissaient eux-mêmes, les pasteurs, sans faire paître mes brebis,
9 scheepherdis, here ye the word of the Lord,
c’est pourquoi, ô pasteurs, écoutez la parole de l’Eternel:
10 The Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y my silf am ouer scheepherdis; Y schal seke my floc of the hond of hem, and Y schal make hem to ceesse, that thei fede no more my flok, and that the scheepherdis feede no more hem silf. And Y schal delyuere my floc fro the mouth of hem, and it schal no more be in to mete to hem.
Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: Voici, je vais m’en prendre aux pasteurs, je réclamerai mes brebis de leurs mains et je leur enlèverai la conduite de mon troupeau, pour que les pasteurs ne se paissent plus eux-mêmes; je sauverai mes brebis de leur bouche, et elles ne leur serviront plus de pâture.
11 For the Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y my silf schal seke my scheep, and Y schal visite hem.
Oui, ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu, me voici moi-même! J’Aurai soin de mes brebis et je les passerai en revue.
12 As a scheepherde visitith his floc, in the dai whanne he is in the myddis of hise scheep `that ben scaterid, so Y schal visite my scheep; and Y schal delyuere hem fro alle places in whiche thei weren scaterid, in the dai of cloude, and of derknesse.
Comme un pasteur inspecte son troupeau, le jour où il est au milieu de ses brebis en désarroi, ainsi j’inspecterai mes brebis et les retirerai de tous les lieux où elles se sont dispersées en un jour de nuée et de brume.
13 And Y schal leede hem out of puplis, and Y schal gadere hem fro londis, and Y schal brynge hem in to her lond, and Y schal feede hem in the hillis of Israel, in ryueris, and in alle seetis of erthe.
Je les ferai sortir du milieu des nations, je les rassemblerai des différentes contrées et les ramènerai sur leur sol; je les ferai paître sur les montagnes d’Israël, dans les ravins et dans toutes les localités habitables du pays.
14 Y schal feede hem in moost plenteouse pasturis, and the lesewis of hem schulen be in the hiy hillis of Israel; there thei schulen reste in greene eerbis, and in fatte lesewis thei schulen be fed on the hillis of Israel.
C’Est dans un bon pâturage que je les ferai paître, et c’est sur les hautes montagnes d’Israël que sera leur parc; là elles gîteront dans un beau cantonnement et elles se nourriront d’un gras pâturage sur les montagnes d’Israël.
15 Y schal fede my scheep, and Y schal make hem to ligge, seith the Lord God.
C’Est moi qui paîtrai mes brebis, moi qui leur assurerai leur gîte, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
16 I schal seke that that perischide, and Y schal brynge ayen that that was cast awei; and Y schal bynde that that was brokun, and Y schal make sad that that was sijk; and Y schal kepe that that was fat and strong; and Y schal feede hem in doom;
La brebis égarée, je la rechercherai, celle qui s’est écartée, je la ramènerai; je soignerai celle qui a une fracture, rendrai des forces à celle qui est malade; mais je détruirai celle qui est grasse et vigoureuse. Je les paîtrai toutes avec équité.
17 forsothe ye ben my flockis. The Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y deme bitwixe beeste and beeste, and a wethir and a buc of geet.
Quant à vous, mes brebis, ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu, me voici en train de juger entre brebis et brebis, entre les béliers et les boucs.
18 Whether it was not enowy to you to deuoure good pasturis? Ferthermore and ye defouliden with youre feet the remenauntis of youre lesewis, and whanne ye drunken clereste watir, ye disturbliden the residue with youre feet.
Est-ce trop peu pour vous de vous repaître d’un excellent pâturage pour que vous fouliez au pied ce qui reste de votre fourrage? De boire d’une eau bien clarifiée pour qu’avec vos pieds vous troubliez ce que vous en laissez?
19 And my scheep weren fed with tho thingis that weren defoulid with youre feet; and thei drunken these thingis, that youre feet hadden troblid.
Il faut donc que mes brebis se nourrissent de ce que vos pieds ont foulé, qu’elles boivent ce que vos pieds ont troublé?"
20 Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis to you, Lo! Y my silf deme bitwixe a fat beeste and a leene beeste.
Eh bien! C’Est de la sorte que le Seigneur parle à leur égard: "Me voici moi-même pour juger entre la brebis grasse et la brebis maigre.
21 For that that ye hurliden with sidis, and schuldris, and wyndewiden with youre hornes alle sike beestis, til tho weren scaterid withoutforth, I schal saue my floc,
Puisque du côté et de l’épaule vous bousculez et, de vos cornes, vous frappez toutes celles qui sont faibles, jusqu’à ce que vous les ayez dispersées et mises dehors,
22 and it schal no more be in to raueyn. And Y schal deme bitwixe beeste and beeste;
je prêterai secours à mes brebis, pour qu’elles ne soient plus livrées en proie, et je jugerai entre brebis et brebis.
23 and Y schal reise on tho o sheepherde, my seruaunt Dauid, that schal fede tho; he schal fede tho, and he schal be `in to a sheepherde to hem.
J’Établirai sur elles un seul pasteur, qui les paîtra, mon serviteur David c’est lui qui les paîtra, c’est lui qui sera leur pasteur.
24 Forsothe Y the Lord schal be in to God to hem, and my seruaunt Dauid schal be prince in the myddis of hem; Y the Lord spak.
Et moi, l’Eternel, je serai leur Dieu, tandis que David, mon serviteur, sera prince au milieu d’elles: moi, l’Eternel, je le dis.
25 And Y schal make with hem a couenaunt of pees, and Y schal make worste beestis to ceesse fro erthe; and thei that dwellen in desert, schulen slepe sikur in forestis.
Je contracterai avec elles une alliance de paix, je ferai disparaître les animaux féroces du pays, pour qu’elles puissent demeurer en sécurité dans le désert et dormir dans les forêts.
26 And Y schal sette hem blessyng in the cumpas of my litle hil, and Y schal lede doun reyn in his tyme. And reynes of blessyng schulen be,
Je ferai d’elles et de ce qui avoisine ma colline une bénédiction, je ferai tomber la pluie en son temps: ce seront des pluies riches en bénédictions.
27 and the tre of the feeld schal yyue his fruyt, and the erthe schal yyue his seed. And thei schulen be in her lond with out drede; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord, whanne Y schal al to-breke the chaynes of her yok, and schal delyuere hem fro the hond of hem that comaunden to hem.
L’Arbre des champs donnera son fruit, la terre donnera son produit, ils seront sur leur sol en sécurité, et ils sauront que je suis l’Eternel, quand je briserai les barres de leur joug et les délivrerai de ceux qui les ont asservis.
28 And thei schulen no more be in to raueyn in to hethene men, nether the beestis of erthe schulen deuoure hem, but thei schulen dwelle tristili with outen ony drede.
Ils ne seront plus une proie pour les nations, ni une pâture pour les animaux du pays; ils demeureront en sécurité, sans personne pour les troubler.
29 And Y schal reise to hem a iust buriownyng named; and thei schulen no more be maad lesse for hunger in erthe, and thei schulen no more bere the schenschipis of hethene men.
J’Établirai pour eux une plantation qui sera leur gloire; personne dans le pays ne succombera plus à la faim, et ils n’auront plus à subir l’opprobre des nations.
30 And thei schulen wite, that Y am her Lord God with hem, and thei ben my puple, the hous of Israel, seith the Lord God.
Ils sauront que moi, l’Eternel, leur Dieu, je suis avec eux, et qu’eux, la maison d’Israël, ils sont mon peuple, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
31 Forsothe ye my flockis ben men, the flockis of my lesewe; and Y am youre Lord God, seith the Lord God.
Et vous, mes brebis, brebis que je fais paître, vous êtes des hommes, moi, je suis votre Dieu, dit le Seigneur Dieu"
