Ezekiel 30

1 And the word of the Lord was maad to me,

Et la parole de l’Éternel vint à moi, disant:

2 and he seide, Sone of man, profesie thou, and seie, The Lord God seith these thingis, Yelle ye, Wo!

Fils d’homme, prophétise, et dis: Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Hurlez: Ah! quel jour!

3 wo! to the dai, for the dai is niy; and the dai of the Lord neiyith, the dai of a cloude. The tyme of hethene men schal be;

Car le jour est proche; oui, le jour de l’Éternel est proche, un jour de nuées: c’est le temps des nations.

4 and a swerd schal come in to Egipt, and drede schal be in Ethiopie, whanne woundid men schulen falle doun in Egipt, and the multitude therof schal be takun awei, and the foundementis therof schulen be distried.

Et l’épée viendra sur l’Égypte, et il y aura de l’angoisse dans l’Éthiopie, quand ils tomberont blessés à mort en Égypte, et qu’on ôtera sa multitude, et que ses fondements seront détruits.

5 Ethiopie, and Libie, and Lidiens, and al the residue comyn puple, and Chub, and the sones of the lond of boond of pees schulen falle doun bi swerd with hem.

Cush, et Puth, et Lud, et tout le peuple mélangé, et Cub, et les fils du pays de l’alliance, tomberont par l’épée avec eux.

6 The Lord God seith these thingis, And thei that vndursetten Egipt schulen falle doun, and the pride of the lordschipe therof schal be destried; fro the tour of Sienes thei schulen falle bi swerd ther ynne, seith the Lord of oostis.

Ainsi dit l’Éternel: Les appuis de l’Égypte tomberont, et l’orgueil de sa force sera abaissé; ils tomberont au milieu d’elle par l’épée, depuis Migdol à Syène, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.

7 And thei schulen be distried in the myddis of londis maad desolat, and the citees therof schulen be in the myddis of citees forsakun.

Et ils seront désolés au milieu des pays désolés, et ses villes seront entre les villes dévastées.

8 And thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord God, whanne Y schal yyue fier in Egipt, and alle the helperis therof schulen be al to-brokun.

Et ils sauront que je suis l’Éternel, quand j’aurai mis le feu en Égypte, et que tous ceux qui l’aident seront brisés.

9 In that dai messangeris schulen go out fro my face in schippis with thre ordris of ooris, to al to-breke the trist of Ethiopie; and drede schal be in hem in the dai of Egipt, for with out doute it schal come.

En ce jour-là des messagers sortiront de devant moi sur des navires pour effrayer l’Éthiopie [dans sa] sécurité; et il y aura au milieu d’eux de l’angoisse comme au jour de l’Égypte; car voici, il vient.

10 The Lord God seith these thingis, And I schal make to ceesse the multitude of Egipt in the hond of Nabugodonosor, king of Babiloyne.

Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Je mettrai fin aussi à la multitude de l’Égypte par la main de Nebucadretsar, roi de Babylone.

11 He and his puple with hym, the strongeste men of hethene men, schulen be brouyt, to leese the lond; and thei schulen drawe out her swerdis on Egipt, and thei schulen fille the lond with slayn men.

Lui, et son peuple avec lui, les terribles d’entre les nations, seront amenés pour détruire le pays; et ils tireront leurs épées contre l’Égypte, et rempliront le pays de blessés à mort.

12 And Y schal make drie the botmes of floodis, and Y schal yyue the lond in the hond of the worste men; and I schal distrie the lond, and the fulnesse therof in the hond of aliens; Y the Lord spak.

Et je mettrai les fleuves à sec, et je vendrai le pays en la main des méchants, et, par la main des étrangers, je désolerai le pays et tout ce qu’il contient. Moi, l’Éternel, j’ai parlé.

13 The Lord God seith these thingis, And Y schal leese simylacris, and Y schal make idols to ceesse fro Memphis, and a duyk of the lond of Egipt schal no more be. And Y schal yyue drede in the lond of Egipt,

Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Je détruirai aussi les idoles, et je mettrai fin aux images de Noph; et il n’y aura plus de prince du pays d’Égypte; et je mettrai la frayeur dans le pays d’Égypte;

14 and Y schal leese the lond of Phatures. And Y schal yyue fier in Tafnys, and Y schal make my domes in Alisaundre.

et je désolerai Pathros, et je mettrai le feu dans Tsoan, et j’exécuterai des jugements dans No;

15 And Y schal schede out myn indignacioun on Pelusyum, the strengthe of Egipt; and Y schal sle the multitude of Alisaundre,

et je verserai ma fureur sur Sin, la forteresse de l’Égypte, et je retrancherai la multitude de No;

16 and Y schal yyue fier in Egipt. Pelusyum, as a womman trauelynge of child, schal haue sorewe, and Alisaundre schal be destried, and in Memphis schulen be ech daies angwischis.

et je mettrai le feu en Égypte; Sin sera dans une grande angoisse, et No sera ouverte par des brèches, et il y aura à Noph des ennemis en plein jour.

17 The yonge men of Heliopoleos and of Bubasti schulen falle doun bi swerd, and tho citees schulen be led caitifs.

Les jeunes hommes d’Aven et de Pi-Béseth tomberont par l’épée, et elles-mêmes iront en captivité.

18 And in Thafnys the dai schal wexe blak, whanne Y schal al to-breke there the ceptris of Egipt, and the pride of the power therof schal faile there ynne. A cloude schal hile it; forsothe the douytris therof schulen be led in to caitifte, and Y schal make domes in Egipt;

Et à Takhpanès le jour sera obscurci lorsque j’y romprai le joug de l’Égypte, et que l’orgueil de sa force y aura cessé; une nuée la couvrira elle-même, et ses filles iront en captivité.

19 and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord.

Et j’exécuterai des jugements en Égypte; et ils sauront que je suis l’Éternel.

20 And it was doon in the enleuenthe yeer, in the firste monethe, in the seuenthe dai of the moneth, the word of the Lord was maad to me,

Et il arriva, la onzième année, au premier [mois], le septième [jour] du mois, que la parole de l’Éternel vint à moi, disant:

21 and he seide, Thou sone of man, Y haue broke the arm of Farao, kyng of Egipt; and lo! it is not wlappid, that helthe schulde be restorid therto, that it schulde be boundun with clothis, and woundun with lynnun clothis, and that he myyte holde swerd, whanne he hadde resseyued strengthe.

Fils d’homme, j’ai cassé le bras du Pharaon, roi d’Égypte, et voici, il n’a point été bandé pour y appliquer des remèdes, pour y mettre des ligatures pour le bander, afin de le fortifier pour qu’il tienne l’épée.

22 Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y to Farao, king of Egipt; and Y schal make lesse his strong arm but brokun, and Y schal caste doun the swerd fro his hond.

C’est pourquoi, ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Voici, j’en veux au Pharaon, roi d’Égypte, et je lui casserai les bras, celui qui est fort et celui qui est cassé, et je ferai tomber l’épée de sa main.

23 And Y schal scatere Egipt among hethene men, and Y schal wyndewe hem in londis.

Et je disperserai les Égyptiens parmi les nations et je les disséminerai dans les pays.

24 And Y schal coumforte the armes of the kyng of Babiloyne, and Y schal yyue my swerd in the hond of hym; and Y schal breke the armes of Farao, and men slayn bifore his face schulen weile bi weilyngis.

Et je fortifierai les bras du roi de Babylone, et je mettrai mon épée dans sa main; et je casserai les bras du Pharaon, et il gémira devant lui des gémissements d’un blessé à mort.

25 And Y schal coumforte the armes of the kyng of Babiloyne, and the armes of Farao schulen falle doun. And thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord, whanne Y schal yyue my swerd in the hond of the kyng of Babiloyne; and he schal stretche forth it on the lond of Egipt.

Et je fortifierai les bras du roi de Babylone, et les bras du Pharaon tomberont. Et ils sauront que je suis l’Éternel, quand j’aurai mis mon épée dans la main du roi de Babylone, et qu’il l’aura étendue sur le pays d’Égypte.

26 And Y schal scatere Egipt in to naciouns, and Y schal wyndewe hem in to londis; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord.

Et je disperserai les Égyptiens parmi les nations, et je les disséminerai dans les pays; et ils sauront que je suis l’Éternel.
