Ezekiel 3
1 And he seide to me, Sone of man, ete thou what euer thing thou fyndist, ete thou this volym; and go thou, and speke to the sones of Israel.
Ja hän sanoi minulle: sinä ihmisen lapsi, syö mitä sinun edessäs on: syö tämä kirja, ja mene ja saarnaa Israelin huoneelle.
2 And Y openyde my mouth, and he fedde me with that volym.
Niin minä avasin suuni, ja hän antoi sen kirjan minun syödäkseni,
3 And he seide to me, Sone of man, thi wombe schal ete, and thin entrails schulen be fillid with this volym, which Y yyue to thee. And Y eet it, and it was maad as swete hony in my mouth.
Ja hän sanoi minulle: sinä ihmisen lapsi, sinun pitää tämän kirjan, jonka minä annan sinulle, syömän ruumises ja täyttämän sillä vatsas. Niin minä söin sen, ja se oli minun suussani niin makia kuin hunaja.
4 And he seide to me, Sone of man, go thou to the hous of Israel, and thou schalt speke my wordis to hem.
Ja hän sanoi minulle: sinä ihmisen lapsi, mene Israelin huoneesen ja saarnaa heille minun sanani.
5 For thou schalt not be sent to a puple of hiy word, and of vnknowun langage; thou schalt be sent to the hous of Israel,
Sillä en minä sinua lähetä sen kansan tykö, jolla outo puhe ja vieras kieli on, vaan Israelin huoneesen,
6 nether to many puplis of hiy word, and of vnknowun langage, of whiche thou maist not here the wordis. And if thou were sent to hem, thei schulden here thee.
Ja en suuren kansan tykö, joilla outo puhe ja vieras kieli olis, joiden puhetta et sinä ymmärrä. Ja jos minä vielä lähettäisin sinun niiden tykö, niin pitäis heidän kuitenkin mielellänsä kuuleman sinua.
7 But the hous of Israel nylen here thee, for thei nylen here me. For al the hous of Israel is of vnschamefast forheed, and of hard herte.
Mutta Israelin huone ei tahdo sinua kuulla, sillä ei he tahdo kuulla itse minuakaan; sillä koko Israelin huonella on kova otsa ja paatunut sydän.
8 Lo! Y yaf thi face strongere than the faces of hem, and thi forheed hardere than the forheedis of hem.
Mutta katso, kuitenkin olen minä tehnyt sinun kasvos lujaksi heidän kasvojansa vastaan ja sinun otsas lujaksi heidän otsaansa vastaan.
9 Y yaf thi face as an adamaunt, and as a flynt; drede thou not hem, nether drede thou of the face of hem, for it is an hous terrynge to wraththe.
Ja minä olen tehnyt sinun otas niin kovaksi kuin timantin, joka kovempi on kuin kallio: älä pelkää heitä, älä myös hämmästy heidän edessänsä, ehkä he ovat tottelematoin huone.
10 And he seide to me, Sone of man, take in thin herte, and here with thin eeris alle these my wordis, whiche Y speke to thee.
Ja hän sanoi minulle: sinä ihmisen lapsi, kaikki minun sanani, jotka minä sanoin sinulle, ota sinun sydämees ja pane korviis.
11 And go thou, and entre to the passyng ouer, to the sones of thi puple. And thou schalt speke to hem, and thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord God seith these thingis, if perauenture thei heren, and resten.
Ja mene pois sinun kansas vankien tykö, ja saarnaa heille, ja sano heille: näin sanoo Herra, Herra: jos he kuulevat sen, taikka katsovat ylön.
12 And the spirit took me, and Y herde after me the vois of a greet mouyng. The blessid glorie of the Lord was herd fro his place;
Ja henki otti minun ylös, ja minä kuulin jälissäni suuren humauksen äänen (sanovan): siunattu olkoon Herran kunnia hänen siassansa!
13 and Y herde the vois of wyngis of the beestis smytynge oon an othir, and the vois of wheelis suynge the beestis, and the vois of greet stiryng.
Ja minä kuulin eläinten siipien äänen, jotka löivät toiseensa ja ratasten jyrinän, jotka juuri niiden tykönä olivat, ja suuren humauksen äänen.
14 Also the spirit reiside me, and took me. And Y yede forth bittir in the indignacioun of my spirit; for the hond of the Lord was with me, and coumfortide me.
Niin henki nosti minut ylös, ja vei minut pois; ja minä menin pois, ja olin suuresti hämmästynyt mutta Herran käsi piti minun vahvana.
15 And Y cam to the passyng ouer, to the heep of newe fruytis, to hem that dwelliden bisidis the flood Chobar. And Y sat where thei saten, and Y dwellide there seuene daies, weilynge, in the myddis of hem.
Ja minä tulin vankien tykö Telabibiin, jotka asuivat Kebarin virran tykönä, ja viivyin heidän tykönänsä, kussa he istuivat, ja olin siellä seitsemän päivää hämmästyksissä heidän keskellänsä.
16 Forsothe whanne seuene daies weren passid, the word of the Lord was maad to me, and seide, Sone of man,
Ja kuin ne seitsemän päivää olivat kuluneet, tapahtui Herran sana minulle ja sanoi:
17 Y yaf thee `a spiere to the hous of Israel. And thou schalt here of my mouth a word, and thou schalt telle to hem of me.
Sinä ihmisen lapsi, minä olen pannut sinun Israelin huoneen vartiaksi; sinun pitää kuuleman sanan minun suustani, ja varaaman heitä minun puolestani.
18 If whanne Y seie to the wickid man, Thou schalt die bi deth, thou tellist not to hym, and spekist not to hym, that he be turned fro his wickid weie, and lyue; thilke wickid man schal die in his wickidnesse, but Y schal seke his blood of thin hond.
Kuin minä sanon jumalattomalle: sinun pitää totisesti kuoleman, ja et sinä varaa häntä etkä sano hänelle sitä, että jumalatoin lakkais jumalattomasta menostansa ja sais elää, niin pitää sen jumalattoman kuoleman synteinsä tähden; mutta hänen verensä tahdon minä vaatia sinun kädestäs.
19 Forsothe if thou tellist to the wickid man, and he is not conuertid fro his wickidnesse, and fro his wickid weie; sotheli he schal die in his wickidnesse, but thou hast delyuerid thi soule.
Mutta jos sinä varaat sitä jumalatointa, ja ei hän käänny jumalattomuudestansa ja jumalattomasta tiestänsä, niin hänen pitää synteinsä tähden kuoleman; mutta sinä olet sielus vapahtanut.
20 But also if a iust man is turned fro his riytfulnesse, and doith wickidnesse, Y schal sette an hirtyng bifor hym; he schal die, for thou teldist not to hym; he schal die in his synne, and hise riytfulnessis, whiche he dide, schulen not be in mynde, but Y schal seke his blood of thin hond.
Ja kuin vanhurskas luopuu vanhurskaudestansa ja tekee pahaa, niin minä sallin hänen loukata itsensä, ja hänen pitää kuoleman; sentähden, ettes ole häntä varannut, pitää hänen synteinsä tähden kuoleman, ja hänen entistä vanhurskauttansa, jonka hän tehnyt on, ei pidä muistettaman; mutta hänen verensä tahdon minä vaatia sinun kädestäs.
21 Forsothe if thou tellist to a iust man, that a iust man do not synne, and he doith not synne, he lyuynge schal lyue, for thou teldist to hym, and thou hast delyuered thi soule.
Mutta jos sinä varaat vanhurskasta, ettei hän syntiä tekisi, ja ei hän myös syntiä tee, niin pitää hänen totisesti elämän, että hän on neuvon ottanut; olet sinä myös sielus vapahtanut.
22 And the hond of the Lord was maad on me, and he seide to me, Rise thou, and go out in to the feeld, and there Y schal speke with thee.
Ja siellä tuli Herran käsi minun päälleni ja sanoi minulle: nouse ja mene ulos kedolle, siellä tahdon minä puhua sinun kanssas.
23 And Y roos, and yede out in to the feeld. And lo! the glorie of the Lord stood there, as the glorie which Y siy bisidis the flood Chobar; and Y felle doun on my face.
Ja minä nousin ja menin ulos kedolle, ja katso, siellä seisoi Herran kunnia, niinkuin se kunnia, jonka minä Kebarin virran tykönä ennen nähnyt olin; ja minä lankesin maahan kasvoilleni,
24 And the spirit entride in to me, and settide me on my feet. And he spak to me, and seide to me, Entre thou, and be thou closid in the myddis of thin hous.
Ja tulin virvoitetuksi hengessä, ja hän asetti minun jaloilleni, ja puhui minun kanssani, ja sanoi minulle: mene ja sulje itses huoneeses.
25 And thou, sone of man, lo! boondis ben youun on thee, and thei schulen bynde thee with tho, and thou schalt not go out in the myddis of hem.
Ja sinä ihmisen lapsi, katso, nuorat pitää pantaman sinun päälles, ja he sitovat sinun niillä, ettei sinun pidä pääsemän heiltä.
26 And Y schal make thi tunge to cleue to the roof of thi mouth, and thou schalt be doumbe, and thou schalt not be as a man rebuykinge; for it is an hous terrynge to wraththe.
Ja minä tahdon sinun kieles antaa tarttua suus lakeen, niin että sinun pitää tuleman mykäksi, ja ei enään taitaman nuhdella heitä; sillä se on vastahakoinen huone.
27 But whanne Y schal speke to thee, Y schal opene thi mouth, and thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord God seith these thingis, He that herith, here, and he that restith, reste; for it is an hous terrynge to wraththe.
Mutta kuin minä puhun sinun kanssas, niin tahdon minä avata sinun suus, että sinun heille sanoman pitää: näin sanoo Herra, Herra: joka kuulee, se kuulkaan, ja joka hylkää, se hyljätkään; sillä se on tottelematoin huone.
