Ezekiel 26

1 And it was doon in the enleuenthe yeer, in the firste dai of the monethe, the word of the Lord was maad to me, and he seide,

در یازدهمین سال از تبعیدمان، در روز اول ماه، این پیام از جانب خداوند به من رسید:

2 Thou, sone of man, for that that Tire seide of Jerusalem, Wel! the yatis of puplis ben brokun, it is turned to me; Y schal be fillid, it is forsakun;

«ای پسر انسان، صور از سقوط اورشلیم خوشحال است و می‌گوید: «اورشلیم در هم شکسته است. او که با قومهای دیگر تجارت می‌کرد از بین رفته است. حال، من جای او را در تجارت می‌گیرم و ثروتمند می‌شوم.»

3 therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Tire, Y on thee; and Y schal make many folkis to stie to thee, as the see flowynge stieth.

بنابراین، خداوند یهوه می‌فرماید: «ای صور، من در مقابل تو می‌ایستم و قومها را مثل امواج خروشان دریا بر ضد تو جمع می‌کنم.

4 And thei schulen distrie the wallis of Tire, and thei schulen distrie the touris therof; and Y schal rase the dust therof fro it, and Y schal yyue it in to a `moost clere stoon.

آنها حصارهای تو را خراب می‌کنند و برج و باروهایت را فرو می‌ریزند. من خاک تو را جارو خواهم کرد تا چیزی جز صخره‌ای صاف برایت باقی نماند.

5 Driyng of nettis schal be in the myddis of the see, for Y spak, seith the Lord God. And Tire schal be in to rauysching to hethene men.

جزیره‌ات غیر مسکون و جای ماهیگیران می‌شود تا تورهای خود را در آنجا پهن کنند. من که خداوند یهوه هستم این را گفته‌ام. صور تاراج ممالک خواهد گردید

6 And the douytris therof that ben in the feeld, schulen be slayn bi swerd; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord.

و ساکنان سرزمین اصلی آن به ضرب شمشیر کشته خواهند شد، آنگاه خواهند دانست که من یهوه هستم.»

7 For whi the Lord God seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal brynge to Tire Nabugodonosor, the king of Babiloyne, fro the north, the kyng of kyngis, with horsis, and charis, and knyytis, and with a cumpeny, and greet puple.

خداوند یهوه می‌فرماید: «من نِبوکَدنِصَّر، پادشاه بابِل شاه شاهان را از شمال با سپاهی عظیم و سواران و ارابه‌های بیشمار به جنگ تو می‌آورم.

8 He schal sle bi swerd thi douytris that ben in the feeld, and he schal cumpasse thee with strengthingis, and he schal bere togidere erthe in cumpas. And he schal reise a scheeld ayens thee,

او ساکنان خاک اصلی تو را خواهد کشت و شهر را محاصره کرده، در برابر آن سنگرها و پشته‌ها خواهد ساخت.

9 and he schal tempre engynes lijc vineres, and engines `that ben clepid wetheris ayens thi wallis; and he schal distrie thi touris bi his armure.

در مقابل حصار تو منجنیقها بر پا خواهد کرد و با تبر برج و باروهایت را در هم خواهد کوبید.

10 Bi flowynge of his horsis, the dust of tho schal hile thee; thi wallis schulen be mouyd of the soun of knyytis, and of wheelis, and of charis; whanne he schal entre bi the yatis, as bi entryngis of a citee distried,

اسبانشان آنقدر زیاد خواهند بود که گرد و خاک آنها شهر را خواهد پوشاند. وقتی دشمن وارد دروازه‌های در هم شکسته‌ات شود، حصارهایت از صدای سواران و ارابه‌ها و کالسکه‌ها خواهند لرزید.

11 with the clees of hise horsis he schal defoule alle thi stretis. He shal sle bi swerd thi puple, and thi noble ymagis schulen falle doun in to erthe.

سواران، تمام کوچه‌های شهر را اشغال می‌کنند، مردم تو را می‌کشند و بناهای عظیم و معروفت را واژگون می‌سازند.

12 Thei schulen waste thi richessis, thei schulen rauysche thi marchaundies; and thei schulen distrie thi wallis, and thei schulen distrie thin housis ful clere, and thi stoonys, and thi trees, and thei schulen putte thi dust in the myddis of watris.

تمام ثروت و کالاهای تو را غارت و دیوارهایت را خراب می‌کنند. خانه‌های زیبایت را ویران می‌سازند. سنگها، چوبها و خاک تو را به دریا می‌ریزند.

13 And Y schal make to reste the multitude of thi syngeris, and the sown of thin harpis schal no more be herd;

من به تمام آوازهای تو پایان خواهم داد و دیگر صدای چنگ در میان تو شنیده نخواهد شد.

14 and Y schal yyue thee in to a moost cleer stoon. Thou schalt be driyng of nettis, and thou schalt no more be bildid, for Y the Lord spak, seith the Lord God.

جزیرهٔ تو را به صخره‌ای صاف تبدیل می‌کنم و آن، مکانی برای ماهیگیران می‌شود که تورهای خود را در آن بگسترانند. بار دیگر هرگز آباد نخواهی شد، زیرا من که خداوند یهوه هستم این را گفته‌ام.»

15 The Lord God seith these thingis of Tire, Whether ilis schulen not be moued of the sown of thi fal, and of weiling of thi slayn men, whanne thei ben slayn in the myddis of thee?

خداوند یهوه به صور چنین می‌گوید: «تمام جزایر از سقوط تو تکان خواهند خورد و مردم آن نقاط از فریاد ساکنان تو که به دست دشمن کشته می‌شوند به وحشت خواهند افتاد.

16 And alle the princis of the see schulen go doun of her seetis, and thei schulen do awei her mentils, ether spuylis of slayn enemyes, and thei schulen caste awei her dyuerse clothis, and shulen be clothid with wondring. Thei shulen sitte in the erthe, and thei shulen be astonyed, and thei shulen wondre of thi sodeyn fal.

آنگاه تمام پادشاهان سرزمینهای ساحلی از تختهای خود پایین می‌آیند و رداها و لباسهای فاخر خود را از تن در می‌آورند. ترس آنها را فرا می‌گیرد و آنها از وحشت به خود می‌لرزند و بر خاک می‌نشینند.

17 And thei shulen take weilyng on thee, and schule seie to thee, Hou perischidist thou, noble citee, that dwellist in the see, that were strong in the see with thi dwelleris, whiche dwelleris alle men dredden?

آنها برایت ماتم می‌گیرند و این مرثیه را می‌خوانند: ای جزیرهٔ مقتدر که قدرت تو در دریا باعث وحشت مردم ساحل‌نشین شده بود، چگونه تباه شدی!

18 Now schippis schulen wondre in the dai of thi drede, and ilis in the see schulen be disturblid, for noon goith out of thee.

ببین جزیره‌ها بر اثر سقوط تو چطور بر خود می‌لرزند! آنها از نابودی تو حیرانند!»

19 For the Lord God seith these thingis, Whanne Y schal yyue thee a citee desolat, as the citees that ben not enhabitid, and Y schal bringe on thee the depthe of watris, and many watris schulen hile thee.

خداوند یهوه می‌فرماید: «من تو را ای شهر صور، با خاک یکسان می‌کنم. آبها تو را خواهند بلعید و تو در زیر موجهای دریا غرق خواهی شد.

20 And Y schal drawe thee doun with hem that goon doun in to a lake, to the puple euerlastynge; and Y schal sette thee in the laste lond, as elde wildirnessis, with hem that ben led doun in to a lake, that thou be not enhabited. Certis whanne Y schal yyue glorye in the lond of lyueris,

تو را به قعر دنیای مردگان سرنگون می‌کنم تا به آنانی که مدتها پیش بدانجا رفته‌اند، ملحق شوی. تو را مثل اجساد کسانی که سالها پیش به خاک سپرده شده‌اند، به زیر زمین فرو خواهم برد. در این دنیا دیگر هرگز زیبا و آباد نخواهی شد.

21 Y schal dryue thee in to nouyt, and thou schalt not be; and thou schalt be souyt, and thou schalt no more be foundun with outen ende, seith the Lord God.

تو را به سرنوشت وحشتناکی دچار می‌کنم و تو به کلی نابود خواهی شد، به طوری که مردم هر قدر تو را جستجو کنند نتوانند تو را بیابند.» این است آنچه خداوند یهوه می‌فرماید.
