Ezekiel 2

1 And he seide to me, Thou, sone of man, stonde on thi feet, and Y schal speke with thee.

Och han sade till mig: »Du människobarn, stå upp på dina fötter, så vill jag tala med dig.»

2 And the spirit entride in to me, after that he spak to me, and settide me on my feet. And Y herde oon spekynge to me,

När han så talade till mig, kom en andekraft i mig och reste upp mig på mina fötter; och jag hörde på honom som talade till mig.

3 and seiynge, Sone of man, Y sende thee to the sones of Israel, to folkis apostatas, `ether goynge a bak fro feith, that yeden awei fro me; the fadris of hem braken my couenaunt til to this dai.

Och han sade till mig: »Du människobarn, jag sänder dig till Israels barn, de avfälliga hedningarna som hava avfallit från mig; de och deras fäder hava begått överträdelser mot mig allt intill den dag som i dag är.

4 And the sones ben of hard face, and of vnchastisable herte, to whiche Y sende thee. And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord God seith these thingis;

Till barnen med hårda pannor och förstockade hjärtan sänder jag dig, och du skall säga till dem: 'Så säger Herren, HERREN'

5 if perauenture nameli thei heren, and if perauenture thei resten, for it is an hous terrynge to wraththe. And thei schulen wite, that a profete is in the myddis of hem.

Och evad de höra därpå eller icke -- ty de äro ett gensträvigt släkte -- så skola de dock förnimma att en profet har varit ibland dem.

6 Therfore thou, sone of man, drede not hem, nether drede thou the wordis of hem; for vnbileueful men and distrieris ben with thee, and thou dwellist with scorpiouns. Drede thou not the wordis of hem, and drede thou not the faces of hem, for it is an hous terrynge to wraththe.

Och du, människobarn, frukta icke för dem, och frukta icke för deras ord, fastän du omgives av tistlar och törnen och bor ibland skorpioner. Nej, frukta icke för deras ord, och var icke förfärad för dem själva, då de nu äro ett gensträvigt släkte.

7 Therfor thou schalt speke my wordis to hem, if perauenture thei heren, and resten, for thei ben terreris to wraththe.

Utan tala mina ord till dem, evad de höra på dem eller icke, då de nu äro så gensträviga.

8 But thou, sone of man, here what euer thingis Y schal speke to thee; and nyle thou be a terrere to wraththe, as the hows of Israel is a terrere to wraththe. Opene thi mouth, and ete what euer thingis Y yyue to thee.

Men du, människobarn, hör nu vad jag talar till dig; var icke gensträvig såsom detta gensträviga släkte. Öppna din mun och ät vad jag giver dig.»

9 And Y siy, and lo! an hond was sent to me, in which a book was foldid togidere.

Och jag fick se en hand uträckas mot mig, och i den såg jag en bokrulle.

10 And he spredde abrood it bifor me, that was writun with ynne and with outforth. And lamentaciouns, and song, and wo, weren writun ther ynne.

Och denna breddes ut framför mig, och den var fullskriven innan och utan; och där voro uppskrivna klagosånger, suckan och verop.
