Ezekiel 2
1 And he seide to me, Thou, sone of man, stonde on thi feet, and Y schal speke with thee.
Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, stelle dich auf deine Füße, und ich will mit dir reden.
2 And the spirit entride in to me, after that he spak to me, and settide me on my feet. And Y herde oon spekynge to me,
Und als er zu mir redete, kam der Geist in mich und stellte mich auf meine Füße; und ich hörte den, der zu mir redete.
3 and seiynge, Sone of man, Y sende thee to the sones of Israel, to folkis apostatas, `ether goynge a bak fro feith, that yeden awei fro me; the fadris of hem braken my couenaunt til to this dai.
Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, ich sende dich zu den Kindern Israel, zu den empörerischen Nationen [O. zu Nationen, den Empörern, ] die sich wider mich empört haben; sie und ihre Väter sind von mir abgefallen bis auf diesen selbigen Tag.
4 And the sones ben of hard face, and of vnchastisable herte, to whiche Y sende thee. And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord God seith these thingis;
Und diese Kinder sind schamlosen Angesichts und harten Herzens; zu ihnen sende ich dich, und du sollst zu ihnen sprechen: "So spricht der Herr, Jehova!"
5 if perauenture nameli thei heren, and if perauenture thei resten, for it is an hous terrynge to wraththe. And thei schulen wite, that a profete is in the myddis of hem.
Und sie, mögen sie hören oder es lassen [denn sie sind ein widerspenstiges Haus] sie sollen doch wissen [O. erkennen, erfahren, ] daß ein Prophet in ihrer Mitte war.
6 Therfore thou, sone of man, drede not hem, nether drede thou the wordis of hem; for vnbileueful men and distrieris ben with thee, and thou dwellist with scorpiouns. Drede thou not the wordis of hem, and drede thou not the faces of hem, for it is an hous terrynge to wraththe.
Und du, Menschensohn, fürchte dich nicht vor ihnen und fürchte dich nicht vor ihren Worten; denn Nesseln und Dornen sind bei dir, und bei Skorpionen wohnst du [O. und auf Skorpionen sitzest du.] Fürchte dich nicht vor ihren Worten, und erschrick nicht vor ihrem Angesicht; denn ein widerspenstiges Haus sind sie.
7 Therfor thou schalt speke my wordis to hem, if perauenture thei heren, and resten, for thei ben terreris to wraththe.
Und du sollst meine Worte zu ihnen reden, mögen sie hören oder es lassen; denn sie sind widerspenstig.
8 But thou, sone of man, here what euer thingis Y schal speke to thee; and nyle thou be a terrere to wraththe, as the hows of Israel is a terrere to wraththe. Opene thi mouth, and ete what euer thingis Y yyue to thee.
Und du, Menschensohn, höre, was ich zu dir rede; sei nicht widerspenstig wie das widerspenstige Haus; tue deinen Mund auf und iß, was ich dir gebe. -
9 And Y siy, and lo! an hond was sent to me, in which a book was foldid togidere.
Und ich sah: Und siehe, eine Hand war gegen mich ausgestreckt; und siehe, in derselben war eine Buchrolle.
10 And he spredde abrood it bifor me, that was writun with ynne and with outforth. And lamentaciouns, and song, and wo, weren writun ther ynne.
Und er breitete sie vor mir aus, und sie war auf der Vorder- und auf der Hinterseite beschrieben; und es waren darauf geschrieben Klagen und Seufzer und Wehe. -
